Beautiful park with big trees. There are 2 free bbqs in the park. The park should have some shades so we can stay during rain. Big trees and rain are not safe

Great park with an outdoor swimming pool. Clean and well maintained accessible from various directions in the city of Sydney. Great opportunity to enjoy your lunch on the grass and get away from office chaos or just a relaxing walk on the way to or from work. One of the nicest green spots in the city.

My daughter loves this place. It's very close to Central. From a kids play perspective it has a big wide slide, swings, see-saw, etc. There is also a mini park at the entrance with a wooden boat and an elephant shaped slide. Rainbow road is a highlight. There are benches available to sit. Overall a nice place to easily spend 2-3 hours. It's well maintained as well. Must visit !!

A lovely bit of respite in the city. This green space is more likely a 'take a breather' spot than 'tourist destination' (unless you're here for Equality Green, more below). It's a green space with a bit of walking trail and fitness amenities. πŸŽΎπŸ€ Multiple tennis courts as well as basketball courts, easily spotted with their blue paving. πŸ‹οΈ Multiple adult fitness exercise areas, all on the west side by the courts. πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ Public swimming pool, too. Paid entry. 🍭 Mediocre kids playground. One slide and a few swings. And then a second are with a few bits and pieces (and an elephant), close to the pool. Again, will do the job for a stop and rest, not a destination. 🌈 Home of Equality Green (has it's own Maps listing), commemorating the marriage equality decision. Gorgeous rainbow painted footpath, which is a highlight! 🚻 Next to the pool facilities. πŸ’¦ Bubblers next to Cleveland St and the entrance next to Central station. Likely a couple more I didn't spot.

One thing I liked the most about Australia is the presence of multiple parks and open spaces. Prince Alfred Park, despite being inside the City Central, is a clean park with wide spaces of trees and areas for recreational activities. This park is a good place to chill while you are waiting for your friends in the city. Aside from that, this park is so massive that it surprised me that Sydney did not convert parts of it for commercial space. This is truly a good place to chill.

Great place for evening stroll. Be it with yourself, with your dog, or with some friends and basketball. Close to the station but far away from the noise and city hussle.

This is a lovely park. It could be a five star. But it lacks a degree of Prince, and I didn't meet a single Alfred. Also, a few more toilets would be ace. A perfect park, otherwise.

Great park and facilities. Pool, sounds, exercise space, tennis and great open space. More accessible toilets needed. Great basket ball runs.

I love this park!! It’s located in Central/Surry Hills (Sydney) The park is massive! And super clean! I love it because it has a running or walking track, tennis courts, basketball court & a swimming pool! As soon as you walk in, you will feel motivated.. There always people running, cycling, exercising etc.. Even sun baking!!! Perfect spot for having a picnic, or have a BBQ.. This is my favourite workout spot! My favourite park in Sydney. There is a cafe next to the swimming pool also (not sure if it’s open due to Covid-19) And if you are busting to go to the restroom, there are public toilets!! Happy working out people 😁

this park is close to where I live, I go there everyday, I like the vibe there, nice people doing picnics or walking their dogs, good place to exercise or go jogging.

Lovely park to take a nice stroll. There are also a lot of facilities and activities to do here, such as swimming, tennis, basketball courts, playground, some outdoor gym equipment and plenty of areas to relax or have picnics. I'll definitely be back in the future for more walks.

Lovely park, especially for fitness minded individuals. Many stations with public body weight equipment throught. A nice 1km loop around the park and a public lap pool within as well.

  • 5/5 Kyle S. 3 years ago on Google
Fantastic park with heaps of facilities: tennis courts, swimming pool, public toilets, bbqs, picnic benches, benches, swings, basket ball courts. Conveniently located next to central railway station and Chalmers street light rail stop. There are often (pre-Covid) public festivals here, so check out what's happening. It wouldn't be hard to spend an entire day here!

  • 5/5 Tyler J. 1 year ago on Google
Good spot to walk the dog, lovely shaded areas under trees with benches, and good places to sit and soak up the sun. And even better? Its right next to the light rail!

Ended up unexpectedly walking through Prince Alfred Park around 6:30pm on a Monday evening due to a massive foul-up of the Sydney train network. Went to the pool for my regular swim (instead of one in the city I had been heading to) and it was really great swimming outdoors late in the afternoon/early evening. The park is beautifully maintained and lots of people were enjoying the grassy areas for exercise and play. This is a very nice place.

A nice oasis of tranquility in the city, a large open space. There are tennis courts that seem well used, regularly swept & maintained. A pool that is in use year around though it doesn't ever seem crowded. Clean public toilets that I feel safe letting my disabled sister use. A playground area suitable for young children near the pool.

Good size park in the middle of the city. Easy to get to via train or light rail. Lots of facilities to suit all ages. Good place to spend a day with youngs kids as there are play areas, open space. And plenty of great restaurants and cafes nearby for lunch.

Fantastic place for dogs, which is exactly why we should’ve planned better, as we decided to have a picnic here. Many dogs came up to our picnic and showed immense interest in our chicken. Some more polite than others. It’s our fault for having a picnic at a place with so many dogs, but it was an endearing experience. Great bike paths and basketball courts too.

Large, leafy and spread-out park. More suitable for bicycles and jogging instead of kids, since there weren't many infrastructure for small ones. Another great advantage is this park is very close to central station. Very convenient.

  • 4/5 Anam H. 8 months ago on Google
Park right next to central station, easy to get to from any Sydney suburb. 2x free for all full basketball courts, paid tennis courts and spacious fields all fairly in good conditions. The courts could use some improvement like repaint/level the cements and possibly one court with some sort of roof so it can still be used when it rains.

Large park, has tennis, basketball and outdoor gym facilities, BBQ, swing and slide areas. Pool access too. Dog friendly. Kiddy playground could use a makeover. Clean and close to Central.

Years ago it was an unheated 50m with dilapidated facilities, so I wrote it off. I went back recently and it is great. Heated outdoor 50m in the city with good, clean, change rooms

Nice park, decent layout, had the night noodle markets going on so that was fun to see. Very crowded and muddy with long lines for certain foods but the other food stalls were less busy. Toilets and drinks and picture opportunities available for everyone to try.

Large open space. Only downfall is the public toilets which are actually a public health risk. Junkies empty the pad bins looking for old used needles and leave the contents ball over the floor. Absolutely putrid and dangerous.
