Rooms are large and clean, the amenities were clean and tody and the staff super friendly! Great value, and great location. Very happy with our stay here. If we need somewhere to stay in Sydney again, we'll be back.

One of those places where all the floors are sticky except for the places with old, stained carpet. We were somehow accidentally booked into and given the key to someone else's room, creating an uncomfortable situation when we walked in on an already-occupied bedroom that the occupant thought was locked. At least the manager came and got it sorted right away. The bedroom was pretty decent, and roomy. The bathroom was on the dirty side even compared to cheap, crowded hostels I've stayed at, and only one of the three showers on our floor was in full working order, and with nowhere to set down or hang anything that needed to stay dry. The common area on our floor smelled a little funny, but was pretty comfortable, and the kitchen was clean and well-functioning. Free use of the laundry machines is a very nice bonus, and the wifi worked well. The location is great, which is necessary to justify the price for a place of this low quality. Really below-average overall experience even for rough-and-tumble backpacker accommodations, which is why I feel forced to give it only two stars out of five.

We got locked out of our room, because the lock didn't work. It got stuck. We couldn't get our things for over 14 hours and the staff just kept sending us away. We didn't know what was happening or when we would get our stuff and we had to walk around in the rain with only the clothes we had worn the day before, cause we didn't have anything else. We did not get ANY compensation or any proper apology from the hostel. A real disappointment. Did not feel like they had our best in interest at all

For a hostel it was quite expensive. I had no great problems with this place apart from our room having a cracked window and we had no extra blankets to keep warm. The location is perfect. Service was great, specially Sara from reception (the french speaking girl). The room's walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours, so maybe not the best place for light sleepers. It was clean but the carpet from the hallway and living room needs urgent replacement. It was dirty and smelly. Bedding was comfy and clean.

I booked the room in booking site. It was a great experience here. just pay when you check in. The staff is very friendly, patient and helpful (when I forget my key in the room :)))) then the door lock itself then I could not get in twice). The room is extremely clean. I cooked there by myself as they have a share Kitchen and living room. The room I stayed doesn’t have it own bathroom too, however it doesn’t matter because they have enough very clean shared bathrooms and toilets. Plus, in my opinion, the price is cheap compared to other place nearby :)

I am not usually one to post reviews, yet feel people should know what they are paying for. Let me preface this by saying that I know this is a room for under $100 yet the overall quality is very poor. Road noise, several long black hairs throughout bedding, the room door was unserviceable and took 2 phone calls and over half an hour for the after hours manager to let me in. Loud AC that us not individual to the room, broken window that created a loud noise associated to the AC. Bathroom facilities a old and worse than a caravan park standard. Kitchen while useful is equipped with broken items and lacking cutlery. Spend a few dollars more and stay elsewhere

As an avid traveller this is potentially one of the worst places I've ever stayed at. First of all the check in procedure was awkward, the gentlemen checking me in kept staring at me. I booked a private room on the second floor, and the first thing I was greeted with was a horrendous stench coming from the communal bathroom. The smell was of a mix of urine and chemicals and it was clear that the bathroom was not cleaned regularly. In the shower there were 10-20 bandaids in the cubicle. I complained to reception in the morning and this still wasn't cleaned come evening, and the smell in the bathroom has gotten worse and could be smelled from my bedroom. Furthermore there was a crack in the bedroom window meaning that the room was cold. Upon complaining, reception moved me to the 3rd floor where I had a bedroom with an en suite. This room was not clean, the bed was not made and the fridge was mouldy on the inside. The bathroom was also filthy. Save your money and stay somewhere else or you will be uncomfortable.

Worst place I have ever stayed, no parking close for less than $100 a night, disgusting rooms mess everywhere and dirty bathroom amenities. Roaches in the bathroom and dirty dishes in the kitchen. I recommend staying anywhere but here!

The staff are helpful and friendly. My room got upgraded to a private bathroom however the room was dusty, the air conditioning unit so noisy the street noise was less distributive and the water pressure in the shower was hit and miss. The bathroom window blind was broken and the window too which meant cockroaches came into the room. This place has degraded since the photos were taken and even though the location is well situated definitely not worth the $240 I paid for 2 nights.

Bedding was not changed from previous guest and had red stains on the sheets and doona. I called the night manager who was quite rude and acted like I was making a big deal over nothing when I asked her to change the bedding. She reaaaaly didn’t want to change the bedding. Its great position justifies the price which would otherwise be unbelievable for a place so below average. My biggest complains are the extremely uncomfortable showers (nowhere to hang or put your things while you wash up) and absolute lack of privacy in the bathrooms, plus the strong smell of mould and closed space in the room. The walls were stained (with some smashed mosquitos here and there) and there was what looked like a mouse hole in the wall in front of the bed. Overall not the worst, but certainly not the best.

The thing that saves this place is the location and the friendly reception. Otherwise it wouldn’t stand a chance. Dim lights in room, walls paper thin, plugs hanging off walls, but the toilets are what threw it for me. One of the cubicles had an exposed roof, door was dodgy to close. Shower cubicles had no room whatsoever I had to undress, put my towel round me, then leave my stuff outside. There was also a hairdryer plugged in with the wire hanging under the paper dispenser (wire could get wet from dripping hands). Not sure how this works in Australia but UK health and safety would have a field day with this place.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel 1. Customer service was friendly and warm 2. Location was right in the city 3. Room was very comfortable and the bed was the best I slept on in a hotel for a while. I rate this hotel 5 stars as it ticks all the boxes for a great and comfortable stay😄
