Cowell's Lane Reserve

Park β€’ Dog park

πŸ‘πŸ‘ My wife and I love this park, but our dog loves it even more. He knows where the water is and goes straight there. It's a large park with a very nice walk around it and there are many good opportunities for socialising the dogs. Very neat and well looked after. People often mention park, dogs, leash, walk, water, great,

Nice easy long walk around the reserve. Dog friendly reserve that is partially fenced, but there are many places dogs can run out of the park. Most dogs are friendly there and there are often groups that meet up for dog walks together. Only downside is that the dog bags aren’t refilled enough.

A great park for all your walking need with off leash and on leash area for your dogs. You do not need a dog to walk here all the dog are very friendly and after months walking here never had any issues. The playground and bbq are both great this one of the best bbq I seen at any park heat up in a few min and stay hot all over. Small amount of gym work out stuff too with a pull up bar, a bike and few others

It is the park with the largest off leash area I have ever seen. Your dog will be very happy.

Just discovered this park recently after moving here for more than a year! What a gem! All the dogs are friendly and our two dogs absolutely love it! Will be coming here all the time !

One of the best off leash dog park I’ve been to. Friendly dogs all round, great walks - lots of environments for dogs to get messy in, different terrains. Not too many parking spots nearby, but park is huge - so you can find some place nearby.

Easily one of our favourite off leash places in Sydney! There is a bit of mud after it rains so be cautious if you have a swimmer.

A very pretty place to exercise, both you and your dog! Great for the kids too!

The day I attended, on a Saturday afternoon, a local council community group was conducting an appointment only opportunity for citizens to select young native plants for their gardens. Cowell's Lane Reserve is an excellent location for this venture. It has ample space to park a vehicle on level spaces, and good pathways to transit by foot into the park precinct. I noticed there were public bus stations on both sides of the road as well . The reserve is a quite large, open, and well grassed place where kids can play ball games well away from the road. There's shade from trees too, and plenty of places to put down a picnic blanket. Overall Cowell''s Lane Reserve is well recommended by me.

There’s a separate dog off leash area - Took our small dog here and felt very safe. He is not normally good with strange dogs but this area is quite well maintained. Be wary of muddy areas after showers.

The best place I've found in Sydney to give your dog the best opportunity to exercise. There's so much space for them to run and release all their energy and it's a great walk for us humans too.

Cowell Park Reserve offers a delightful off-leash dog walking experience, there are a few areas that could benefit from improvement. Additional amenities such as water stations and dog waste disposal facilities would enhance the convenience and cleanliness of the park. Providing more shaded areas or seating options would also be appreciated, allowing dog owners to rest and relax while watching over their furry companions. Furthermore, parking can be a bit challenging, especially during peak times or weekends.

Absolute favourite dog friendly park where you can walk a decent distance with dog off leash. The only drawback of this place is the mud after the rain (dog loves the mud though! πŸ˜‚)

Great dog park, lots of room to play or just walk the trail enjoying the nature. Very green and tranquil, beware lots of mud during the wet season! It is off leash so prepare for loose dogs with poor recall if you are training a reactive dog

Our border collie was sick for 18 hours after visiting yesterday. She was in and out of the water and bush. Just be careful.

Lots of swampy water for the dog to go in (at our time of visit) but this is not really an "off leash" park as there are few fences. It is a great park to walk or ride though.

A nice loop for the dogs to go off leash, very easy walk with a a footpath the while way

Nicely maintained park that runs along a watercourse so it is impacted by rain. If your dog likes to get muddy then be prepared as there are plenty opportunities for it to happen. Only downside is the single water fountain in the park is near the entrance so if you are exercising your dog fairly strenuously then take water with you. Would really help if the council put in another water fountain up the Northern End.
