For us, the best restaurant in Australia. We have visited over 100 places, but we always return, even once a month, as we move from Randwick. Very good and fast attention, the owners, always friendly and attentive. The food, always excellent, quality, price, location. They do not seek to offer anything complicated, nothing fancy, but not for that, of low quality, on the contrary, always fresh and well-prepared products. I want to steal the recipe for the teriyaki salmon ... it's excellent.

We were craving for Japanese food today and luckily this place was come up on my google so we gave it a try The food was super delicious/reasonable price it's combination between japanese and korean food ❤️my fav one is Jjamppong soup(spicy seafood soup)i've tried a few places around and this place is the best one so far ,not too salty and spicy 🌶 we would definitely come back again

Fresh and tasty food. The lunch bento box is incredible value!

My routine is to flip to the back of the menu for Korean dishes and pick one. Enjoy the meal then ask for a take away Kimchi. The friendly service is a bonus.

An amazing experience. The chef watches what comes back, and next time you go, the food is tailored a bit better to your taste. Super fresh ingredients and genuine caring team, can’t say enough good things about one of our favourite restaurants. Unfortunately we have moved out of the area so can only come once in a while.

Best sushi in the East! There is always a bit of a wait for any order, but it's so worth it as it's made on demand. Small little dine-in area, so book in advance if you're planning on eating there. Lovely lady at the front desk. Sushi always fresh and the best available products. Recommend.

Great little Japanese cafe with authentic Japanese food. Takoyaki is clearly home made and not the generic frozen stuff you get at every other Japanese restaurant. Sushi is fresh and made with care, look at that beautifully made salmon nigiri! Owners are super friendly and welcoming!

Excellent food, very authentic and tasty. We had dinner as a group of five and everything was delicious. Very friendly family owned style. We loved everything. Absolute recommendation without any restrictions.

My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. We were back in Sydney for four months and ate there multiple times a week (sometimes twice a day). There lunch specials and standard menu are tasty, healthy, freshly prepared, great value for money and always served with a kind smile from the lovely couple who own the restaurant. We cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and are sad to not have this as our local restaurant.

Best sushi I’ve tasted. The food is super fresh and the owners are so lovely. I visit this place at least one a week! You won’t regret coming here! Little gem in Randwick and plus the place is so cool.

If there were 6 star I would have given to this place. This is a hidden gem in Randwick and overall eastern suburbs. Run by Japanese couple. There food is as authentic as it gets. Takes you right back to the streets of Tokyo and Kyoto. Not the usual flashy over the top sushi shops which we find everywhere. A must try. Super value for money with generous portions.

What a lovely place to grab dinner. Cozy little joint with two owners running the show. The food was outstanding and very well Priced. The sashimi & beef rib are a must. We will be back next time in Randwick

overall, best dish was the soon do bu, spicy tofu seafood dish. spice levels are serious and hits the spot! sushi was okay, not the freshest sushi ever but still good. soba noodles were great as well.

Great food! The fare is simple but delicious. It's run by an older couple who are lovely and look after their customers well. You can also get coffee here after the meal.

This place is amazing! Very friendly and welcoming, and the fish is super fresh and tasty. Had sushi and sashimi takeaway but will definitely come back and sit in next time.

So glad I tried this place. Proper mom and pop authentic Japanese restaurant. It’s pretty tiny but the food was awesome. Great value too, almost felt like they undercharged for the quality and quantity of food we got. Will be back for sure.

An underrated place for the good value bento, which I can't wait to go back to! I had the karagee bento, it had rice, miso soup and the main dish. But what I didn't expect is to get sashimi and sushi for the value as well. The shop was run by two couples who clearly loved to serve customers. So thanks for the good service and food as well.

My favorite restaurant for years. The owners, Amy and Jin treated us like family. We have a routine, which is to bring our visiting family to Akarui. Everyone loves their hospitality and service. Food is great and in generous portions. Prices have always been reasonable.

A little on the unhygienic side, the bathroom is behind the Kitchen. Being husband and wife team, husband does the cooking wife does the front of the house. Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, will give u 4.5 Stars

Came with my partner we both loved it. Sushi was incredible, fresh and delicious. If Eel is your thing, do yourself a favour and order it.

Had lunch here on couple of occasions and everytime had good experiences. The owners are friendly and the lunch menu that they have is great on its own but made better by the price point!

Amazing! Went here with a few friends, the sushi was fresh, I ordered the Ttukbaegi Bulgogi (beef and some veggies in a broth served in a clayware pot), was so good! The place is very small and can only fit about 10-15 people. We will definitely be back! Food took a bit of time (as there are 2 staff, husband and wife), but worth the wait.

Like going to Dinner at "Mums" in Japan Consistent good food, with the most polite wonderful friendly owners. The Sashimi ,(limited to Tuna & Salmon) is SO fresh and prepared perfectly. The "specials" and combinations are awesome and exceptional value. Always satisfied.

Love the place. Food took a while to arrive but they are 300% worth the wait. Have been here many times and love every menu. The ingredients are super fresh. Love the food, the vibes and 70s-80s songs in this restaurant. Nice vibes.

The bento box was cheap, perfectly cooked with generous servings. Sushi perfect, owners really friendly. Great place.

Enjoyed everything about this place. The food, cutlery and service felt warm and comforting - just like home! The Korean pancake was yum, will be back again, so much to choose from 😊
