This hostel is not safe to live in, they let street junkies live in the property. Very dangerous place to live in. Manager is not doing their best to ensure the tenant safety. And it seems like the rules apply to different people different rules. Don’t come to this hostel go somewhere else, don’t gamble your safety.

A great place to stay in a very convenient location. The management/staff are very welcoming and helpful; they made me feel genuinely welcome and did everything possible to make my stay as satisfying and comfortable as possible. The accommodation is basic but certainly adequate and the place is kept very clean. The kitchen is well appointed and the recreation/TV room is comfortable. All in all a great place to stay.

Nice location, the price is pretty good and competitive against other hostels. Very convenient to public transports, supermarkets and pubs. Rooms are clean and kitchen facilities are great. It’s a hostel not a 5 star resort. You get what you pay for. I would definitely come back.

The best hostel in Sydney! It is really amazing!! Very clean and comfortable. The team can't be better, always helping guests and considering them as a family. It has also a great location since you are in the center of Newtown with shops, supermarkets, pubs and all you need really close! I recommend it 100%

Cool place and chill vibe. Staff are very welcoming and actually had beers with us. Silvie is the best!!! Nicest receptionist I’ve ever met. The location being In the middle of Newtown is so perfect for a night out. Rooms are clean and spacious, I could fit everything. I was planning on only staying a week, but will definitely stay longer!

For the price I paid which was fairly cheap, the facilities are clean and the staff is outstanding. As it’s a part of a school, you can tell that the people working there love what they do. Highly recommend to anyone, and the neighbourhood around the hostel has a great selection of food, lots of history and easy access to public transport / grocery stores.

I had an amazing time staying at this Hostel, is super organized, location is amazing and also the staff. Especial greets to Javier who is always very kind. The only bad thing is the temperature in the rooms, even with 6 or 7 fans sometimes is was imposible to sleep because of the heat. Also in the kitchen when we're cooking it got really too hot sometimes. Besides that, it was a happy time for me.

10/10. The best hostel in town. Perfectly clean and comfortable. Steve the kindest person in the world and the rest of the staff are incredible. I will come back for sure

Update, May 2020: I've heard that they've payed attention to my review, which is a big plus, the hostel has been fixed, cleaned and imroved where needed. Hopefully someone can confirm this? January 2020: This hostel could use some major investments in the laundry and bathroom. The the washing machines are old and take a lot of space because you can't stack them. The same goes for the dryers, but they don't even work properly. There are some drying racks in the laundry which take up all the remaining space. The toilets are not very space efficient, and the sinks and mirrors are very inconvenient to use. You can't place you're stuff somewhere nicely when brushing your teeth for example. There are only dirty towels to clean dry your hands with. The kitchen is nice and clean, however a bit small and one of the cooking spaces is broken. The bedrooms have no air-conditioning only ventilators, which is not enough during the hot nights. The beds make a lot of noise and when you are sleeping in the upper bed you have absolutely no option to put your valuables away, on a shelf for example. Nor do you have the option to charge your phone at night. The chilling place is nice, with couches and a TV. But when there are already people sitting there it is mostly a loud place not suitable for relaxing. So an other chilling place would be most welcome. The location is very nice in my opinion. Newtown is a fun suburb of Sydney and the beers are not that expensive over here.

Javi is amazing. Plain and simple. He is the reason the hostel has the warm atmosphere you can feel at home! Only problem I had the entire time was it was WAY TO HOT. WAY TO HOT. Please, for the love of god, get air conditioning. The entire hostel is too hot always.

Enjoyed my stay a lot. A big shout out to Javier for being so kind during my whole stay. Too hot, it really needs something like an air conditionner or something.

Everything was good, just one thing that it was hard to sleep because of the temperature in the rooms.
