Sample Coffee I made it on time to the Sample Coffee Pro Shop. Whatever PRO stands for, the espresso bar of this beautiful artisanal roastery is absolutely stunning. It is located in an old-new factory 🏭 building that has been beautifully renovated. You will also find a brewery, or design and furniture shops next to the roastery. The interior design is simple and minimalistic: exposed concrete, tiles, wooden tables and chair 🪑. I especially like the high ceiling with the industrial lights hanging down. Today I enjoyed two beautiful coffees from Africa: a Si for origin espresso from Rwanda 🇷🇼 and a filter coffee from Ethiopia 🇪🇹. There are many beautiful coffee, architecture and design magazines to read on the tables. You should definitely also have a look 👀 into the roastery: you will spot two roasters… guess which one is my favorite. I was also very tempted to take the Yamaha motorcycle 🏍 for a ride… fortunately I behaved. This place is another great example of how you can turn a simple coffee place into an experience and combine architecture, industrial design, interior design with coffee.

A hike from St Peter's station but the streets are pleasant to explore. This lovely establishment is situated in a cavernous converted warehouse. The ambience is soothing and the coffee is stirringly strong! The Precinct surrounding is tempting. Worth trying.

Aug 2020: rude customer service, zero acknowledgement, staff just look at you and keep doing their thing (3 staff), get you’re doing work, but no “won’t be a minute”, “hi”, nada. Bit too cool for itself I guess. Assume the coffee is still good 🤷🏼‍♂️ Previous review: Great coffee! Lots of other great stores around. Iced latte 💯

Wharehouse style cafe with great vibes. The breakfast was good. Coffee is roasted on site and worth tasting. 8/10 The waitress was friendly and explained the different food and coffee accordingly. It’s hard to find at first, but worth finding in the end.

Hmm, there was a Reuben Sandwich on my plate. Lovely spot for lunch, filter was delicious. Service was friendly and chill. Atmosphere feels both cozy and spacious at the same time, I always appreciate it when a music isn't too loud.

Great staff and delicious food. I came in on crutches too and they were really lovely (as I was super embarrassed) and helped me take the side entrance out, down the ramp and not the stairs!

A very hipster joint with amazing pastries. I had the apple danish and it was delicious!!!! Their dark hot chocolate was good also. I’d definitely go back. Other thing I really liked was that that they give 50c discount to people who bring their own cups! Something other cafes can learn from

Perfect spot on a rainy day. We enjoyed the menu selection, music and space. Plus wonderful service of course! Hoping to return when our beans run out.

Best coffee I ever had. Love the location and interior as well but it’s just too far from where I live. But if someone asks the best coffee I’ll say here first. ?

Such simplicity, a simple Piccolo with Honey that I ordered and the lovely lady blended it perfectly with light bitterness and managed to keel a soft lingering after taste from the honey that very few coffee shops know how to do.

Amazing cold brew and espresso soft serve. The toastie was delicious also. Relaxed and easygoing staff. Great vibe. The cafe is located in a precinct with some cool shops.

Perfect Piccolo, complementary "glass of water". Ambience was great. service well above expectations. BTW, I own a coffee van so I know coffee, and they are not my roaster's; Although, now reconsidering my options after visiting here. It's a must if your in the area.

Friendly welcome, GREAT chai latte. One of my favourite places in greater Sydney to sit and get work done. Such a gorgeous, bright setting right in the middle of a cool, re-vamped warehouse.

Coffee was good. However, the bean that we purchased (not the same as the coffee we bought) wasn’t as good as we expected. My benchmark is Ona’s Raspberry candy.

Great coffee, the peanut biscuit was delicious and the espresso soft serve was amazing. Lovely staff too, great vibes all around.

  • 5/5 Linden C. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly staff. Very nice interior. I mainly went for the filter coffee which they do via batch brew. I got a delicious cup with nice acidic fruity flavours coming through. Will go back to try the espresso. I also got the pork belly sandwich which I would highly recommend.

I enjoyed the coffee ice cream yesterday. But i may have left my bronze metallic water bottle on the table by the door. Please confirm. Thank you. Update: thanks. I will pick it up before December. Please put it aside for me.

Only just found this gem so close to where I live - coffee was amazing and I absolutely loved the vibe of the place. Also great that they offer a 50c discount if you bring your own cup. Good work to the team!

I went here with three friends a couple of weeks ago. We just wanted a snack and a few drinks as we were peakish after some exercise. We ordered really simple stuff that you'd expect would be sitting at the counter ready to cut, heat and serve - orange toast, avo toast, a bagel, etc. I kid you not... We waited over an hour and it still wasn't ready!!! The guy serving us made no effort to rectify this. The venue was not even busy at that time because it was close to closing time. It was all a bit ridiculous to be honest. When the food finally did come, unfortunately it was less than average. The decor was what got that one star! Sorry sample coffee - we were really disappointed!

Finally went in this cafe for a taste (drove buy many times and was curious but always short of time). Glad we stopped here today! Excellent coffee and tasty food at reasonable prices. Prompt service and polite waiters. Will make this a more regular stop.

I'm a big fan of Sample. Their coffee is delicious and if you are a hobbyist, you can buy a range of espresso and filter beans that are consistently fresh. The cafe has spacious and modern industrial interiors, making it the ideal place for catch ups.

Industrial-style coffee shop with flavourful coffee. I ordered a batch brew which its temperature was too hot to handle and it burnt my tongue. However, I waited a little bit for it to cool down and it have a fruity and deep taste. P.s: I have also visited their other store in Surry Hills. That’s why I wanted to come directly to their warehouse shop to try this time.

Best coffee we could find in the four weeks we spent in Sydney. Food just about as good. Staff were a relaxed bunch despite the Airbus A380’s flying over the area every couple of minutes. Cafe is a little hard to find from the map. Just enter from building 1 and the cafe’s on the left side. Few other good shops in the compound as well.

The worst chicken burger ever. Dry chicken that was so spicy it was inedible. Accompanied by ice lettuce and brown avocado! Seriously?

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
