One of the best coffee roaster in Sydney. Have bunch of selections and the staffs is very friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is strictly selling coffee, beans, equipments and occasionally they do have some pastries.

One of the best coffee in Sydney, very friendly staff, and their beans are great too! I am a little upset that they let dogs roam around inside (allergic to dander) but overall, this is an excellent coffee shop. Also recommend their sister shop ‘Gumption’ at The Strand Arcade.

The coffee in this place is truly amazing. The people here are actually wizards. This is my favourite place in the inner west to get coffee, for both a takeaway coffee or buying beans for home. They have a great range of blends and single origin beans to choose from and are happy to advise on which is best for you based on tasting notes. But even when using their beans at home I can't match the finesse of the coffees they serve up on premises. They also sell assorted coffee making equipment, like for pour-over coffee.

I love this company - the roasted beans are gorgeous and, when they recently made an error in an order, they sent the bean variety I ordered but did not request the return of the variety sent by mistake. Coffee Alchemy is not just another cafe. Their artisanal approach to coffee will reveal itself when you take that first sip. Outstanding coffee in a retro space that is a real throwback to the ’80s. I loved the light that streams through the space of an afternoon. My tip is to try a pour-over coffee, specifically an Ethiopian single origin, if available. The cafe only serves coffee and there’s no food available.

Been getting my coffee beans from them for 3 years - they have a serious following as weekend queues also suggest. Range of beans are a delight, grinded to your preferred brewing method if needed. Master baristas always produce a smooth yet not bland soy latte. Great customer service.

Years ago this used to be my go to place. It’s been sometime since I have been here and I was mostly disappointed with my Latte it was weak and lacked the amazing tastes of yesteryear. An extra shot may have helped. My two mates also ordered coffees and they were not impressed either. I’m not sure if the management has changed but coffees used to be an easy 9 out of 10, now I gave it a 5 out of 10. It is sad, as I would have driven 20 km for Coffee Alchemy and now if it was across the road I would probably look for somewhere else. Sorry about the poor review. BTW, The staff were lovely and the cafe still had that cool vibe happening.

Tried for the first time yesterday and definitely going back again. Love the passion and the variety. I tried long black and enjoyed every sip!

I’ve been buying coffee beans from Coffee Alchemy for a few months. It’s convenient to be able to order online, always fast and quality is easily the best in Sydney - especially their Filter Roasts - which for those of us who don’t use an espresso machine is hard to find. It’s clear they have a deep understanding of what makes great coffee.

New bigger shop, same amazing coffee. I'd probably travel quite a bit wherever these guys went to get my coffee hit! Best coffee hands down in Sydney.

Coffee seems pretty standard/overhyped. Had their cold drip and it came in a small paper cup filled with ice and it wasn't filled to the top so less than half of the cup was coffee. I was expecting a bit more since the good reviews, I much prefer Single O or Roastville.

Simply the best coffee in the country - and I've tried a lot. I was sad to leave Sydney and no longer able to attend here in person, but I still order their beans online. They are the quickest business - literally packed and with AusPost within 24 hrs. They have a variety of beans too - all are fab. My personal choice is 'goodness gallileo'. Easy 5 stars.

I regularly started ordering Goodness Galileo for my Atomic coffee maker because of the quality coffee I can make at home. Each time I visit the cafe the staff are so warm and friendly. This place is an inner west institution!

Great service and the young girl had a good knowledge about grinds of coffee and helped me a lot with different flavours but she did not know what an "Atomic" coffee maker was, ha, ha - it has been around since the 1930's - look it up on Bon Trading Co.They are not cheap but are stove top and are the best design in the known universe. The boss knew what I was talking about. So apart from that (she was in her 20's) I highly recommend these guys for customer service and coffee!

Best coffee blends in Sydney. I've tried quite a lot of blends across Syd and this coffee is just BEAUTIFUL. Worth to mention the vatiety of single origins that Coffee Alchemy offers are always an accurate selection. If you'd like to try single origins from all over the world this is the right place to do so. If rushing in the morning, don't worry!! The service is excellent and quick.

Visited this amazing place for the first time and got my Ethiopian coffee beans and tested them as soon as i came home. The beans are just amazing and taste the essence of coffee. Highly recommended. It's probably been almost 15 years since Coffee Alchemy first opened as a cafe to the public 2 days a week... however long it's been, they have consistently produced high quality beans and coffee. I've been buying my beans here for years whether it be through Coffee Alchemy or Gumption. Every now and then I drop in for a piccolo or two with the house blend and it never disappoints.

Focus is strictly on excellent, take away coffee. Owner Hazel is an award winner roaster with a good variety of whole bean blends or single origins for all types of coffee available to purchase. Friendly staff can assist selection and grind for you.

The gold standard of coffee in town! I’d recommend the 500g home blend goodness Galileo or hairy chest (stronger taste) for $25. They will gladly ground it for you, and get a complimentary take away coffee with every 500g purchase (a current Sunday promo!) ☕️ FTW
