Some of the best brews in Sydney IMHO. The GM is a coffee savant! We learned so much during our recent cupping session - very generous with their coffee knowledge as well as their coffee. Will be back soon!

First time to feel coffee as such an interesting object😃Especially when I get to know that same shot of espresso and same amount of milk can make two cups of coffee taste differently just because of different shapes of the cups that it pours into(picture 3). Very nice staff and it makes our experience enjoyable.

Been to the cupping room in Canberra so my husband and I were eager to try out the coffee and it did not disappoint! The menu is more in depth describing the coffee beans where they're from, how they're brewed etc We ordered the Rueben sandwich and the mushroom toastie and it was good for a light breakfast. We were given a lot of recommendations for coffee and they were all great choices that we even bought some beans to take home! Would definitely recommend as the customer service was good and they were very helpful!

Great coffee and super knowledgeable team. If you're interested in learning more about coffee and the different types of beans/flavours I'd recommend checking out Ona coffee.

Ordered two Aspen milk-based coffee. Wasn't bad, but a bit weak compared to what we used to be having. Then ordered a Maple and thought that would be lovely. Actually, that cup tasted unpleasant, with strong hints of tobacco or an old barn. The flavor of the Maple beans was overpowered. It seemed that the shots were burned, and not enough extraction. Additionally, the coffee was again very weak, and it can't even beat the more aromatic coffee I make at home, Quite disappointed though, cuz this is the flagship store ONA owns in Sydney, but didn't actually work for this time. The food was great, especially the chia pudding, various layers of frequencies brought it to another level. Service was excellent, gave you a warm vibe and tried to always company people along the way they consume their meals. Nutshell, coffee wasn't like what we expected, plus, $7.15 each for a two shot full cream coffee is just too high. Wouldn't complain if those coffee were nice and worthy in this sort of price range. Good luck:)

I love Ona coffee. The variety that this company provides has always been fantastic. My experience at Ona Sydney has been interesting as it is great seeing people who love their craft. I enjoyed the experience of ordering a filter, appreciating the grounds then tasting the coffee that comes out. I'm not rating this emergence a 5 as I had wish list items that would raise this to a 5 instead of negatives to share. I would want to see glassware designed to help appreciate aroma more when ordering an expensive cup. The ceramics are lovely for a daily drink but when ordering $30+ I want to enjoy the experience as much as I can. Likewise, the volume served is to be desired, I would love if more generous servings were offered (within reason). Lastly I would look at consistency. Sometimes the coffee is fantastic, other times it is somewhat lacking in substance, the hardest part of a customer experience is delivering consistency but I think it is somewhat there. Lastly the customer service has always been exceptional. The staff are friendly and always happy to help, it makes it an inviting place to go to. I'd recommend Ona to any coffee lover and hope these review points help refine this into an even more amazing experience!

Best Espresso Bar in Sydney! I’d recommend to ask the talented baristas what’s good here if it’s your first time here. You’d get to have different type of coffees around the globe here. It was unbelievable. for milk based, undoubtedly Raspberry Candy 🍬 is the best

This is the place to go if you want a taste of true Aussie coffee culture. They do all the standard drinks at a reasonable price but also expand into coffee cult territory with their comprehensive menu. While it may seem intimidating at first, all of the baristas are super friendly and will take their time to explain and help you find out what you want, and also explain the process as they go. It’s always a wonderful experience to visit. The new location also has a great vibe, but parking may be a bit difficult on weekdays given it’s an industrial area. Love the new food options too, and while on the pricier side (since they source and support other local businesses), it’s definitely worth a try.

Amazing coffee menu here, never seen a coffee list longer than most restaurants wine list. I like my coffee but felt like real coffee connoisseurs would really appreciate this place. I had one of their more standard beans and it had a great flavour and perfectly made. Also looked like some good freshly baked pastries and menu items. Worth a try for sure

Hands down easily my top 3 coffee experience in sydney. Great service, coffee offerings and price point. Fear not if you are a coffee beginner, there will be their raspberry candy to start you off. If you are a coffee connoisseur you will find the range of coffee satisfying for your palate.

Great coffe and experience, a little overpriced. This cafe offers some of the best coffee that Australia has to offer, I strongly recommend customers avoid just ordering their classic flat white or regular coffee order and let the staff behind the machine recommend one of the gorgeous single origins or interesting blends that they offer. The 2 young service staff who were out on the floor were a little awkward (not sure if those guys were new) which was not the best experience but the quality of the coffee more than made up for it. (I don't think a card surcharge is appropriate when you only accept card, just increase prices on the menu if that's the only way you can pay)

I highly recommend to try Raspberry Candy Ethiopia // Supernatural + Carbonic Natural. Thus is better than Aspen. Aspen wasn't tasty. There is the Korean staff she has a lot of coffee knowledge. She could explain in Korean,English about coffee. I learned a lot about coffee from her. Raspberry Candy isn't sour or bitter at all. That was my favorite flavor. I went to many coffee hopping and I failed a lot. This is the best coffee in Sydney so far.

A great place to get a coffee and also learn about coffee. The appreciation classes are great. They have options for every type of coffee drinker from filtered, cold drip and then even cupping classes. I highly recommend that if you love coffee this is worth a visit

Before visiting Ona, my go to was Coffee Alchemy back in the day. Coffee alchemy is nearby but the passion and quality has gone downhill throughout the years. Every time I've been to Ona the service was great. They took the time to talk to us about coffee, whether it is where the Beans came from and/or how they prep it. Seating is limited which is a pro and con. The pros is that it feels really intimate and a great atmosphere, and the obvious con is during peak hour there will be a wait especially with a larger group. For any coffee lover passing by, this is a great place to stop by. I always come here if I am ever in the area. Cannot comment about food though. I only come here for Coffee.

Walking out of a cafe next door, we stumbled upon ONA. The concept looked intriguing, so we decided to try it out. We were seated at a bar with 5-6 customers, and we were instantly greeted by the barista who was super friendly and very helpful in selecting coffee and tea. The drinks were great, and we got history on the type of blend. The specific tea I ordered was a bit muted and didn’t have much flavor. Prices were a little bit more than other cafes, but since you could help yourself to more, it is great for the price. We also ordered egg toast, which was small and lacking in flavor. After I ate, I figured this cafe is more for their drinks and the experience that comes with it rather than the food. After being served food, the service began to go downhill. There was a staff change, and we were not offered any more refills or anything, which was very disappointing, especially for the price we were paying and the service we had before. It took a while to get a barista’s attention and get a second cup of tea before we had to leave. Overall, the price is a bit much compared to our experience and the service we had. If we could have had the same experience throughout our visit, we would have been much more satisfied. Such a great concept, but the service was not consistent.

This place serves the most amazing coffee. I didn't know what to expect, but it has ruined coffee anywhere else for me. You can pay into the $30+ for a "speciality bean" coffee, but I had a $10 cup and a $5 and they were both excellent. The food is simple but very well prepared and very tasty. Get ready to queue for a seat.

Extensive coffee menu with lots of unique blends. Don’t come here and ask for a flat white or cappuccino. To savour good coffees you need to have them unadulterated.

Food can be better. But you don’t come here for food. You come here for the exclusive coffee range. The number of brilliant choices are overwhelming. By the way, Abu Coffee Estate tastes like milk tea 😉

Amazing coffee experience. So wonderful to try one of the very best coffee shops in the world. Incredible passion and coffee. Will definitely be back again. Also purchased some beans to make coffee at home.

A solid 4.5. A specialist coffee roaster in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra, It's clear from the moment you walk in, Ona specialises in the 'experience' around coffee. You're paying for their craft, and that came across loud and clear. The staff actively engaged with me, before, during and after the coffee, which provides a sense of community. I noted a few regulars who were equally engaged, as well as those turning up just to try 'expensive coffee'. I had the 'La Papaya' Espresso. It was blow your head off strong, but also beautifully smooth. No astringency here! It was $22 approx, and for that money you really try to appreciate the textures and flavours. I also had a flat white which was beautifully smooth and rich, without being too milky. An expensive experience, but one I'm glad I had. Would go back.

The team at Ona are all knowledgeable about the menu (food and beverage) they are serving. This is a specialty coffee shop and won’t be truly appreciated or understood by people who don’t take an interest in coffee or cafe culture. Ona have a great selection of take-home retail products as well. The centre bar set-up allows for easy communication with the team and it’s nice to see the action. Alex is particularly awesome.

Lovely and friendly team at the cafe, and simple modern decor that was welcoming. There are mostly counter seats so the baristas could speak with you and you could watch the process. The menu consists only of coffee and some sweet pastries. I’m not a coffee drinker due to gastric issues, but I’m glad I found an almost decaf option. Unwind is naturally decaffeinated by sugarcane, and served with milk. I chose oat milk as I’m not a fan of cow’s milk and the result is an acidic milky drink.

Probably my favourite coffee roaster these days. Ona is all about coffee, and the stories that go into making coffee. From raw cherry from the plant, all the way to our cup, so many people are involved in making decisions that shape the flavours we get in what we think of as coffee. When you look at the menu at ona, it’s like a wine list. There are varieties, techniques, regions to sample and experience. Coffee isn’t just some random drink from the end of the menu here, it’s the star. I’d recommend raspberry candy as an excellent first starting taste of their espresso/milk drinks. A highly addictive coffee. Oh they have decent little nibbles and stuff too.

A bit off the beaten track but worth the commute. The menu was overwhelming. I'm more a traditional milk-based espresso drinker so I just went with their house beans but had a piccolo with a single origin bean. My hubby is a pour over guy and he went to the wild and adventurous side of the menu. He was happy. The food menu isn't much but enough to fill you up and go with your coffee. The Reuben was especially good. Baristas were very accommodating and engaging, taking the time to explain and recommend according to each one's palate. In the end, we bought 6 bags of beans and more! What can I say? I'm in a coffee cult!

Fabulous experience, really made my mum's morning on her birthday. Excellent selection of bespoke flavours, all purchasable. Must trys: Decadence Coffee (but must try all to really appreciate what a good coffee is) Will be back!

One of the best coffees I have had in Sydney so far. Had an orange cake and it was delicious as well. Would definitely go back to try their other coffees. Friendly staff and great service too!

It’s worth a try! If you go to try the coffee, you’re willing to pay coffee at this high price. It’s totally great and perfect every time I go here and try different coffees. I’ve bought 2 bags. Can’t wait to enjoy it. ONA baristas are professional and provide professional service. Highly recommended ☺️

Coffee options are professional and varied. This is the place for sitting and enjoying the coffee. Two pour-over cost $50. ($26 + $24) One of the most pricy coffees I have ever had. High level and impressive.
