👍👍 My partner and I recently attended the sourdough masterclass with the head baker and are so happy that we did. The class was fun, informative and we got so much bread to take home! The sourdough starter we received from the class has become our new family member and we’re now baking sourdough bread... People often mention coffee, pies, sausage, rolls, bread, good, service, great, sourdough, Bourke,

My partner and I recently attended the sourdough masterclass with the head baker and are so happy that we did. The class was fun, informative and we got so much bread to take home! The sourdough starter we received from the class has become our new family member and we’re now baking sourdough bread every week. I never thought I could make amazing bread like this at home! Incredible value 🍞🤎

Love it! Food and service was great Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because most of the breakfast items were sold out and it was hard to pick in the end. However the croissant with jam and ricotta was surprisingly great! The tarts are always amazing my favourite is the ginger one, never disappointing.

Visited on 13:40 08/05/2023 and was acknowledged by the male staff however the lady working there gave us a dirty look. When we were looking at the menu she asked us aggressively if we were ready to order as if she wanted us out of the store. We ordered the 2 pies and a coffee, she packed the pies but left it on the counter. Didnt even ask if we wanted tomato sauce or if we wanted to dine in. The least she could do was hand us the pies but left it on the counter. Very poor behaviour and will not be going here again.

If you have read any of my other reviews, you will know that I am a fan of good pies and good coffee! Whilst both are available at Bourke St Bakery (Marrickville), the main reason I come here is for the Lamb & Harissa Sausage rolls (pictured). The almond gives them a delicious crunch whilst the sweet currents backup the sweet sticky pastry on the base 5* everyday!!! I have been to othe BSB locations and to be honest whilst the standard is generally pretty high, this is by far my preferred location.

Bourke street bakery never disappoints, with their excellent bread, coffees and delicious sausage rolls. A huge bonus is that it’s on quiet street and you’ll almost always find a spot to sit outside, highly recommended

Not my usual pop in for sourdough, cakes and coffee.. Today I stopped and sat, today was about the pie, the beef brisket pie. It’s beef, it’s red wine and it’s mushroom all within a wonderfully flaky pastry. A marvelous mouthful that and coffee was spot on too. Grab a pie, a coffee, a loaf, a tart, and smile.

The bakery is Heaven for pastry lovers, offering an array of freshly baked goods that are simply irresistible. From flaky croissants to Artisanal bread, each bite is a testament to their commitment to quality. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make the visit even more enjoyable. Don’t miss the chance to savor the treats at Bourke Street Bakery. They do have outdoor seating, where pets are allowed as well. I really enjoyed the croissants and chocolate tart as well as the banana bread.

A nice branch of the infamous Bourke Street Bakery. Situated on a quiet street off Victoria Road, most people take out bread or pastries but you can also sit down and enjoy any of their fine pastries or cakes with a cup of tea / coffee. Personally, I love their fig sourdough and all their sausage rolls. If you're in the area, well worth the visit.

The Marrickville store is great. Staff are always welcoming and efficient. The breads, pastries and pies are always fresh and delicious. We often pick up the frozen pies and rolls to bring on holidays and they bake really well. The barista works hard to keep up with the long queue out the door and the coffees are always goood

Have been going here on and off for years, Decided to drop in Christmas eve and have a coffee and cake and pick up a sourdough for Christmas day. All the tables except one were removed from the front of the shop, no table inside as that part is now blocked off. The whole shop looked much worse than before, was wondering if it is closing down...looked like it!. Decided not to bother with cake and coffee as no seating, just get the sourdough and go. The bread on Christmas day was so hard we could not get our teeth through it. None of our family and friends on Christmas day were able to eat it. Overcooked or stale, who knows, but uneatable never less.

This bakery is a little hidden but not bad at all! The personnel is super nice and the atmosphere is quite calm because it isn't directly next to the main road. I didn't get a look on the menu because I just got myself a pastry but besides the high price, it tastes really good!

Great place to come to whenever you’re craving for some good pastries! They make really good pies and sausage rolls here! Great coffee as well and the service was fast! However, we tried their homemade iced chocolate in the bottle and there was abit of slim in the bottle when I drank it and it gave me a bad taste afterwards. Not to sure if it was meant to be like that but it turned me off from their iced chocolate. Hence why I have given them 4 stars instead of a 5. Otherwise their pies, sausage rolls and tarts are amazing! We will definitely be coming back again!

Loaded up on baked goods this morning. Service was wonderful and the stand outs were pork and fennel sausage roll and the ginger creme brulee tart. The Marrickville branch is tucked away in a quiet location but parking can be hard

Food is great, only giving 3 stars since it’s at a location which requires driving to since its in the middle of Marrickvi, but there is never any parking available nearby. Have driven there so many times just to leave because I can’t find parking. They should do a drive through service. Food wise they are a solid 5 stars.

Always the best bakery in town. Never disappointed me! Especially the ham & cheese croissant !!

Bread and baked goods were nice but the staff were super rude and dismissive. When I ordered a large flat white she looked at the coffee machine and sighed and then just chucked in a single left over shot (meant to be a double) and some quick steamed milk just to get us out of the door. Pretty damn disappointing.

Not a good effort, at all First she forgets to bag my pie, then forgets to bag my muffin. Then I get home and realise I don’t have rhubarb tart. 3 from 3. Well done

Was quite disappointed with this place. For years I have heard how good it is but definitely didn't live up to the hype. Went in at lunchtime and 2 out of the 4 types of pies were already sold out (you think you would bake more knowing how many you usually sell) and the two left tasted pretty average. The only saving grace are their croasties. They didn't taste pretty good. If you want a pie don't go here, go somewhere else

Tasty, yet lil suss on the pork sausage rolls , bit pink, been here nearly every day for 2 weeks and about 80% of the pork sausage rolls are pink

I love their granola with yogurt. The croissant is so so. The shell is too hard and it tastes dry.

Pastry on the pies was average potato top great filling pastry let it down, beef (brisket) mushroom pie great filling let down by the pastry. Potato bun tasted stale and had no resemblance to a potato bun or bread at all.

Great bakery with a fantastic selection of sweet pastries and savoury pies and rolls. The bread options are all well done and worth a try. I highly recommend the chicken, potato and pea pie!

Bourke Street bakery has the most amazing food and artisan breads that are delicious, I used to love their pies and breads but since being confirmed as coeliac I can't have anything from their menu except the most important thing in my gluten free diet... COFFEE!!! Their coffee is next level goodness and the staff are super friendly and helpful. I've been to many Bourke Street bakeries across Sydney and their coffee is always amazeballs, every shop I've been too has been amazing coffee and service and no matter what time or day it is, still amazing coffee and service. Do yourself a favour and go to Bourke Street bakery and get some coffee and you'll never see coffee the same again. Thank you... Cheers...

Great service, delicious fresh food, pastries and coffee. The pastry of the pies and sausage rolls is spot on and the selection of fresh breads is always very tempting. I'm very happy it's one of my local cafes.

Such delicious smooth coffee and if you want a sweet twist then have a mocha which is so decadent and rich! My go-to will always be the pork and fennel sausage roll followed by the lamb sausage roll followed by .. basically ANYTHING and EVERYTHING! Everything is deliciously fresh, crisp and sells delectable. It's always hard to only choose a couple of things.
