Super great aesthetics! They do not take reservations, so if you have a large group, make sure you arrive early as it does tend to get packed very quickly. Their food was excellent! I really enjoyed eating their pancakes.

I came here on a Sunday morning (peak hours), waiting time was a little long around 10min, but the exteriors kept me occupied while the wait. I ordered a dirty Benedict. It’s a oily fatty dish but quite delicious, it gives a sort of burger feeling at the end. Corn bread in this dish is heavily buttered, which is why it’s dirty. My mate ordered chill scramble eggs, which was delicious as well. The only thing I would recommend the cafe is that do NOT put the eggs on top of bread, because bread got soggy very quickly. Service staff was friendly but a lack of consistency. We were seated for a while until we got served some tap water. However, the couple sitting next to us got served water and coffee order straight away after seated. So final verdict: I recommend this cafe and I’ll come back to try another minced lamb dish.

Can't believe I didn't try a coffee instead opting for a wonderful tea. The food was perfect. The space is rare in Sydney. It's roomy! Will be back again asap.

Came in for Sunday lunch, and first time impression is this is definitely a hipster spot, young, nice food and nice vibe. I'm a tea person so didnt take advantage of their coffee roaster there. Apparently they have coffee taster events. Food was on the small side but also affordable. I was definitely still wanting more after that plate. It was more like a sandwich with all those items laid down on a plate. Tea was in nice teapot. The place was tightly packed and quite noisy. Got better when large groups left. Staff could be friendlier with smile and more welcoming.

We stood there patiently and waited about 10 minutes without a single staff acknowledging us. Two of them walked by and didn't say anything. And there were available tables as well, so we couldn't understand why we were being ignored. I'm sure food is great but the service is terrible.

Great aesthetics and amazing food. I got the ricotta pancakes and they were absolutely delicious. The cafe is quite spacious but they do not take reservations. If you have a large group on the weekends, be sure to come early!

Highly recommended for everyone with a fine coffe taste. They even have special roasts for pour overs next to espressos. With my interest in that, they even made it possible to buy a choice including those roasts, which were not sold this way by default.

Can confirm it does, in fact, roast coffee. Some pretty great coffee, actually. I’m by no means a coffee expert but the Ethiopia cold brew was lightly sweet and super enjoyable. The food was also great! Polenta porridge was the right amount of sweet and the green nourish bowl had a zingy creamy dressing. Overall, this cafe was in every way a really enjoyable place to spend a brunch that turned into an afternoon tea.

Arrived eagerly anticipating the coffee and breakfast menu, visiting at a bright 8:30 AM. Initially, we ordered the pancake, knowing it would take about 20 minutes, and we were fine with that. While we waited patiently, two couples arrived, placed their orders for pancakes, and they got their pancakes 15 minutes after later, even though they had come in half an hour after us. When the couples got their food, we were still waiting. Trying to get the attention of the staff proved difficult due to the poor service. After finally getting someone's attention, I mentioned we had been waiting for 45 minutes for the pancake. The staff looked confused, and despite multiple attempts to communicate with the kitchen, no one could explain the delay. It was evident that our order had been missed, and there were no apologies or explanations. The couples finished their meals before our pancake finally arrived, extending our stay at the cafe until around 10 o'clock due to the delay, without any apologies or explanations. When it was time to pay, the owner, a bald gentleman, offered no apologies either and only mentioned that the coffee was complimentary. While the food was tasty, the long wait and lack of communication left us frustrated. Without the good food, we might have left in frustration. As for the coffee, it was decent but didn't live up to the hype; I've had better elsewhere.

A cafe with a charming garden atmosphere and a lofty ceiling, where the alchemy of coffee roasting happens right in the back. The brunch menu offers a wide range of choices, I went with a simple yet satisfying choice - scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast. Generous portion at a fair price.

I had breakfast here and I didn't finish it because the bald gentleman working there made me feel unwelcome. The coffe and food were great however dumping my order at the other end of the empty table I'm sitting at and staring at me while I eat has earned you a one star rating.

We are return visitors to this great little cafe and the food and service never disappoint. The falafel plate and chicken salads were yummy and you definitely can’t go past a side of the spicy fries! For those with limited ability there are some steep stairs at the entrance and street parking isn’t very easy. The cafe does have a chair lift, I suggest calling ahead to make sure that’s working. Highly recommend a visit and the coffee is also great.x

Excellent coffee, amazing food, great ambience and super friendly staffs. The cafe is my favourite in Marrickville. Every visit at this place is enjoyable. They also have coffee capsules which are compatible for Nespresso coffee machine. I’ll definitely come back to try more dishes on the menu. Highly recommended.

Coffee is amazing. All the single origin coffee has special taste and aroma which is awesome. I just wish they send online delivery through auspost. Nowadays they use sendle which is terrible and much slow.

Hands down one of the best soy sticky chai lattes in Sydney. I love how they brew the chai with fresh Spices instead of the powdered type. The soy milk was so frothy and delicious! I didn't even know you could froth soy milk that much. Also loved the ricotta hot cakes. Though, I'd recommend sharing this one, got a little too sweet for myself.

Roastville is a great go-to for coffee or brunch. I’ve been numerous times and enjoyed the crumpets, pastries, lemon meringue, and of course, the coffee! There are plenty of options for returning customers and the interior is spacious and homely.

Great food, atmosphere, coffee and service. Went for breakfast with a friend on a Monday morning and it wasn't too busy. The dirty egg Benedict was just great: the chicken, eggs and sauce were great. I wasn't sold on the sage, corn and polenta bread, but I appreciate they were trying to do something new, even if I didn't think it worked.

I loved the warehouse vibe, and the warm lighting was so welcoming from the rain today. Coffee was great, really unique brew that you can buy straight from the cafe (wonderful display by the way!) However, when a waiter listens to your order without noting it down, you always have that little niggle that they didn't catch what you said. Unfortunately they got our order wrong twice and had to keep trying again. Bit bizarre, recommend using a notepad next time please.

I came here for lunch last Saturday. Their coffee was pretty good. I ordered a soy latte and also tried one of their barista board - You get like a nice single origin espresso and a piccolo latte (highly recommended for coffee lovers). The barista was knowledgeable with his coffeeπŸ‘ I had some food as well, however, I didn't really enjoy my food as much as coffee. I've tried their green chilli scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were well made, however it was flavoured with curry spices and this was not reflected in their menu description. If I had known this was their flavouring, I wouldn't have ordered it. The menu description was "green chilli scrambled eggs" - "cherry tomatoes, red onion, red banana chilli, soft herbs with house green chilli sauce on seeded sourdough". The sourdough was not seeded and there was large capsicum (again something not mentioned in the description and that I don't enjoy and wouldn't have ordered).

My partner and I are regulars at and love Roastville for its amazing food, wait service and friendly, warm atmosphere. This place will delight you in many ways, from its creative and tasteful food options to its high quality coffee, all roasted on premises. Green chilli scrambled eggs, spiced lamb fry up, salmon fish cakes to the karaage chicken burger rock! Most cafes serve coffee in the standard glass coffee vessel, this place ups the ante and serves coffee nestled on cute, little wooden boards. Your best breakfast and lunch option in Marrickville, hands down!

What on earth did I just eat.. that was amazing. Only my third time here, first was the character-filled karaage chicken burger, then the sourdough crumpets wow and now the kimchi waffles. Not that I was expecting anything less from this joint but I was taken aback by that meal. Supported by great coffee, this is a must if in the area or out for a tasty adventure. Nice one Roastville nice one

Really enjoyed having brunch here. I had the chicken burger with fries, and cold brew. Portion was good, but oh the pricer side as expected for this area.

Good coffee and food. The poached eggs was perfect and the coffee is nice and strong. I personally think the price is on the higher end considering the serving but it is made well. The staff are friendly too. The cafe can get very loud when it’s full otherwise is a nice cafe to meet friends.

Trendy cafe and coffee roasters - good place for breakfast and lunch - have tried both. Most recently went for coffee and lunch. The Karaage burger with fries was excellent as was the nourish bowl. Generous portions and fairly average price for the area. We sat at the central communal table, but there were also a scattering of smaller tables and a few dog friendly tables out the front. Coffee was delicious (flat white), I bought a bag of the toucan beans to take home. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I don’t know how else to express it in words, but this is the best coffee in Sydney. Look nowhere else there is a blend for everyone here and the prices are on point. I also grabbed their avocado smash and it was awesome. But the highlight truly is the coffee it’s perfectly balanced.

  • 5/5 Steve M. 5 months ago on Google
Delicious! I went for the deconstructed bacon and egg roll. The pesto was a delightful addition for the overall flavour. Eggs were fluffy, bacon delicious and the bread was light and chewy.

My daughter wanted to do a Latte Art course with some Senior High school friends. Despite not having the minimum number (6) to book and one dropping out the day before, they still ran the course with 4 and were very professional in dealing with them all - all very much enjoyed the Latte Art challenges and the new knowledge to apply to their home Art projects.

Great cafe for tasty food and excellent coffee. We had the dirty bird Benedict and avocado smash. Both tasted fresh and fulfilling. Coffee was so good we bought a kilo of the white house blend beans to take home. There is also a kids menu here with colouring sheets and find-a-word to keep the kids busy. The service was friendly and our food came out quickly. Highly recommended!

It's quality and interesting and very good coffee here. I'm a local and don't come here often enough as I'm an amateur chef and love to cook, but I still have great memories of meals had here. The staff are lovely and make you feel very welcome, even if your kid is wrecking havoc and ruining your day!

Good coffee, good food, would give 5 stars if it wasn't for the lady at the counter chatting away with another customer for over 5 mins making me and others wait to order some takeaway coffee, not acceptable should take orders first then finish your conversation.

Good quality coffee, one of better ones in marrickville. The coffee was flavourful and deep in taste. The chicken burger was moist, flavourful and especially made with fresh coleslaw. Decor of the place is inviting and it brings out the rustic vibe of the place in tune with the industrial area of marrickville. Dirty bird poach egg is creamy, top with runny of the eggs and base with fried chicken. Definitely give roastville a try
