Gasoline pony is a great little local venue. Always a lively atmosphere and very frequently has a live band or music playing. Make sure you take the time to check out the beer garden area in the back, it can be a good spot to chat if the music is going. A great variety of drink and cool decor to look at.

This is exciting. The Gasoline Pony has just launched a brand new menu. Some new a different things, some with a distinct Japanese influence. Can't wait to get down to Marrickville and check it out.

The best small bar in Sydney. Supports live music every night its open and what a great vibe. This is beyond a doubt one of my favorite places to go in Sydney. Its off the strip and hip. You can get light meals there and a selection of great beverages in a "bogan" free environment surrounded by like minded people who are there for the music and atmosphere. Sure its small, but that adds to its charm. The decor is fantastic, the staff are wonderful and there is a garden out the back or you can hang out the front. This place is a gem, its where the nice people go, strongly recommended.

Good beer offering on tap, and very lively on the night we visited, without being overly cramped. The back area is very nice too, feel like you're drinking in someone's back garden and I'm not mad about it. Probably one of the best places to have a beer in the area.

Great music venue. It also helps that the food and the drinks are also fantastic.

Great band, great venue, good food, great service. Some of the audience need educating about live music. They talked and shrieked over the music. You know who you are! I'll be back!

Great place with good cocktails. The guy who is working the front kitchen area was rude for no reason when I went to check on a friends order that the staff had forgotten to put through. Put a dampener on an otherwise nice night.

I'm a dancer, so my rating is low die to the lack of dance space. Otherwise, a cute little bar with lots of character, friendly staff and tasty pizza that isn't drowned in cheese.

I've been to the good life performance there, but it is not the best place to watch or/and to listen to it. I was fed with half burnt Nachos there. Ouch.

This place was great. Lovely little bar. Open Mic Tuesday night was chill and fun. Food looked great. Hospitable staff. Courtyard area looked like fun. Can't wait to go back.

Pretty cool bar with some great styling. Particularly love the outdoor area. Usually live entertainment at the weekends. Some great cocktails on offer and the bar staff are super friendly. Would certainly recommend!

Its a nice small bar, very cozy, cocktails so affordable, and their drinks really strong , nice staff. I had the bloody mary it tasted to watry for my liking. I prefer it to have thicker consistency, however their martinis and espresso martinis were great highly recommend 👌 👍

Reliably fabulous atmosphere at the Gaspo tonight. Great bar food, drinks and the WD4 provided fabulous music. This venue knows how to give a comfortable homey feeling. Always loved it here.

Always great music and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and the drinks are consistent. Different crowds on different nights but always a good time had with the friendliness that Marrickville offers.

I booked the back courtyard space for my birthday, and it was delightful. The staff were so friendly, the food delicious, and the space wonderful and cosy. Highly recommend as a venue for an event!

Booked for a birthday party here for someone who was adamant they didn't want any fuss. We had an excellent night with really lovely service, I can't recommend it enough!

I went to open mic at the pony during the week. Was my first visit. It's a smallish intimate bar in a narrow rectangular layout with live music at the far end. Atmos was great, pizza was exceptional and price reasonable. those at the music end properly listened. While I am sure the quality of open mic is variable , it was amazing the night I went. A couple of all women duos were both fantastic musicians. A top place for a drink for a pizza for live music.

A lot of types music are lived by great performers at the homey atmosphere. The staff who works as a chef is friendly and easy to talk. The cocktail is lovely as well. When I went to there at the first time, some customers would talk to me with patience even if my English was tough to be understanding.
