Fantastic cocktail bar. Knowledgeable bartenders. Interesting cocktails. Exquisitely dim lighting and old-school vibes. Good tunes. I’d go out of my way to come back here again if I’m in town.

We Had a fabulous evening at Earl’s Juke Joint last night !! The cocktails were so delicious and service was next level, Dale went above and beyond to organise the drinks and service. we had a really great night! THANK YOU !!!!! We will definitely come back soon.

Great atmosphere, very good spot for a date night, but probably not a first date as it is quite loud and bustling on a Thursday/Friday/Saturday. Prices are as expected in Sydney, which is to say obscene, but you come here for the experience. This is somewhat a question of personal preference, but something in the negroni ratios is off and I wouldn't get it again.

At night the worn down facades looks like a Butcher shop closed down for business. However as you approach you can vaguely make out orbs of light sources glowing in the mason jar candles through the shop front curtains. Upon entry Rock n roll, soul and blues can be heard whilst being greeted warmly by the wait staff. The vibing but initimate lit space have some well crafted cocktails that taste great. The rustic decor, feel good music, warm lighting make you feel tucked away from busy street bustle. Once I sat down I didn't want to leave. Had lots of fun.

Cool joint behind the facade of a butchers shop. Vibes are great with good music and good drinks. The bartenders know what they’re doing and happy to give recommendations. Gave us a birthday shot on the house as we were celebrating a few birthdays in the group.

Hidden behind the windows of an old butcher shop, Earl's Juke Joint has a wide range of alcohol on the menu, and is only a short stroll away from the Newtown train station. Has a good old school bar vibe. It's clean and good for after dinner drinks. It is though a bit loud as the night goes on, so likely better for those who enjoy slightly louder music. If you are in the area, worth a visit 👍

Went this to place for some drinks, the cocktails were fancy except that it did not have any alcohol in it....this place is a scam...the staff lady at the bar charged me double for 2 drinks, was outright rude and apparently there just to fool people. Unfriendly and a scammy place. Will never go again and do not recommend. The fun night turned into a huge disappointment.

Always a nice chilled vibe here. Never had the food, but the drinks menu is always a winner. Whether it's wine by the glass, cocktail or a beer, my friends and I always leave here happy. Love the happy smiles from the bar staff too. It adds to the good vibes of the bar.

Wonderful cocktails! The menu had a great selection of creative cocktails and the customer service was great. All bartenders were very friendly and fast-paced. We loved the New Orleans look and the atmosphere was very cosy. Would definitely stop by again.

A speakeasy located behind a deceptive shop front starts the experience with a degree of exclusivity. Dim lighting and a well-tested menu of innovative cocktails definitely adds a bit of intrigue. The service is very friendly and the bar staff are happy to help you find something you'll enjoy if you strike up a conversation. Drinks are made in front of you in classic theatrical style and it's a pleasure to see artists at work. Plenty of interesting beer on tap, and unusual wines as well... Orange wines are a thing now. I didn't try any of the food, but the fried stuff at the tables around smelt very enticing. Would go back here again and would recommend.

Great unassuming place for a drink, you’d walk past if you didn’t realise it was a cool bar behind the front windows that look like an old butcher. Walking though the door you’re greeted by a long bar and tables and a great vibe !!! The music is chilled and the staff are friendly, there’s a simple beverage list with some great cocktails and nuts are provided when you ask, will definitely return !!! :)

Earls Juke joint is a quirky bar/speak easy based in Newtown, it's got a camouflaged entrance as a butchers shop. for my own taste, a bit too dark inside but I guess it's kind of the point. The staff were quite lovely and took the customer service seriously and that set a nice tone being there.

Spacious, interesting decor with music posters to African art and church pews for some seats. Bar service is really spot on and the crowd is a nice mixture.

What a great find in downtown Newtown. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Love this hidden gem hiding behind the facade of an old butcher shop. Must come again as we got there just before closing time. When will bars re-open to later closing times.

A hidden gem! At first on the outside it looks like an abandoned shop front but as you enter it is a bar with a dim light setting to set the mood. Cocktails and drinks are served. A good place to mingle and catch up with friends.

Entering the disguised and unassuming shopfront, we walk into subdued lighting and too cool tunes compete with the enthusiastic bustle of the Friday night crowd. The cocktails we bought from the small suggested menu were skillfully assembled by the hip staff and tasted excellent.

Lovely spot. Walked in just for a little drink after dinner near by. Sat at the bar where was given water right away and given menus. Lovely bar staff. The young man with the glasses, did not get his name but he gave us great service. Will be back for sure🙃
