Seriously overhyped and priced! We were looking forward to an amazing experience but the dishes were fairly small but had a big price tag to match. There’s a full bar but they don’t offer cocktails unless it’s during happy hour and then it’s only one type of martini. Two beers cost us $24. We had to get more food afterwards because we were still empty

Really nice food and cocktails! We came here for a hens night dinner and their staff were so welcoming! The food came out promptly and loved every one bit of it! Will definitely come back. I didn't put 5 stars because it can get expensive.

I haven’t been to Kuki in about two years and am so glad to see that the quality has remained the same. This place has such a fun menu. The fish is exceptionally fresh - the sashimi nachos are something I have daydreamed about regularly. The space is adorable, the service is stellar, there’s always a spare table for a walk-in, and it’s just a great spot for a date or for a hang with friends. Highly recommend just about everything on the menu!

Visited as a group and had the $59banquet. The food was rolling in and it was so good! We certainly didn’t leave with empty stomachs. The sake was delicious! Their COVIDSafe plan was clear and easy to navigate. The service was a little slow on occasions however they were very lovely at all times.

I came at a good time on a Friday night and was directed to my table with some friendly service. Food was good, though not stellar. I think what got me was that I was presented with the drinks menu thinking it was all available, and then I had to change my order twice because they then realised they didn't have stock? I appreciated the manager explaining that to me, but I really was keen for some umeshu... not that they could help it at the time.

Dined at kuki tanuki for the first time and wow! Blown away by the service of the staff and also the amazing food this place has to offer! Highly recommend the nachos and the chicken wings! The management has done a great job in creating such an amazing place to hang and enjoy good food and company!

I love the Popcorn Prawns, Kuki Tempura, and Sashimi Corn Chips. Super delicious, tasty and fresh. I enjoyed the Asahi on tap as well as their selection of sake and plum wine.

The food here is amazing! Great pub style Japanese but still a place to chill! The chicken wings really stand up to the name! The service is great too. Friendly, happy and quick staff! I will be making this place my local Japanese joint!

Would give 5 stars if the alcohol is not so little and pricey. I would like to come back again and try some different dishes. I recommend the beef and kingfish dishes.

Rad little Japanese style tapas bar in Erko. Super tasty dishes, excellent sake range, fab staff and a funky interior. Win, win, win.

This Japanese restaurant is a gem in the heart of Erskineville. The food is delicious. Great selection on the menu. The set menus are also an excellent choice with perfectly sized delectable portions. The ‘make your own’ sushi rolls - are exactly that so be prepared to eat with your hands. The booths at the back are romantic and a little more private. Will definitely be back.

Arrival service was prompt and friendly. However felt abit ignored when trying to get waitress attention again throughout the night, we'd make eye contact and she'd look away. Food however was great! super delicious, tapas style serving. Would definitely recommend and come back for the food. relax environment, good for couples, families with kids and groups of friends. Less than 5 minutes walk from the closest train station.

Came here after doing a google search for a Japanese restaurant in the inner west. We ordered sashimi, edamame, chicken wings, Hokkaido scallops, kingfish. Staff were great and very attentive. Food was also very good. My only complaint was the edamame and chicken wings were a little salty for me. My partner enjoyed the imported Japanese beer. Overall we enjoyed our night here.
