---EDIT--- They put 4pines Pale back on the taps which upgrades this one star to a three. Glad to see it back, can't wait to see if another similar one comes on. --- The staff are great but the owners seem to have no clue. Changed the carpet but not the ridiculous amount of overpriced 'craft' ales on tap. Put coopers back or at least some beers that taste similar but don't coast an arm and a leg!

Rubbish pub for young people. Pokie room in this establisment is a joke. Had my ticket stolen multiple times. Can't leave your machine for a second or personal belongings. Had a few incidents happen Infront of me. Not a safe pub.

This pub, does not listen. I know they have heard every day I go there, which is every second weekday at the least, we ask - ‘what do you think of your tap beers and why don’t you have coopers anymore?’ And they retort, It’s because we have a deal with Carlton brewery’. This is fair enough, however, they have a very limited selection of nice drinking ales on tap. Sure, they have a pretty good selection of lagers, like Reschs, Carlton, et cetera, and it’s understandable why they don’t have Tooheys considering their deal with Carlton, however, they keep the mid strength Four Pines on tap but not the full strength pale ale. Comparatively to the Coopers beers that they had on tap previously, the only beers that they have to match are over $10 a schooner, such as the Pirate Life pale ale. It just seems strange and unwarranted that they would remove three great Coopers beers off of the tap and not replace them with comparable substitutes. While I love this pub for the diverse areas, from the main bar, to the restaurant, the nice outdoor area and the large sports bar, it makes me unhappy that no matter how many times it’s brought up to the staff (I regularly ask how often people ask for Coopers, and they always say, ‘many times every night, especially on Fridays’), that there is still no change to the beers on tap, whether it be regular or seasonal. While this could be a nice pub for people who haven’t been here before, if you can get over the irregular pricing of the food, it fails to satiate the more than regular requests of their most faithful patrons. Sometimes I feel when I’m slapping my card against the eftpos machine, I’m slapping my own hand across my face. I find myself going to the Royal Exchange more and more often, and their trivia is better. I hope that this review doesn’t fall upon deaf ears, like the many that have come before it. The entire front staff are so lovely and considerate which is one of the few reasons we return at all. We have yet to see what the future holds.

Very friendly locals pub. Probably not a place to travel to from far away, especially if you're after frills, but nice, chilled vibes and super friendly locals who will often chat to you if you want company, or leave you alone if you want to be left alone.

Ok pub, renovated and tidy, well located, though a minimal selection of local craft beer, strong smell of chemical deodoriser. It is, however, extremely overpriced - in May 2023 a pint of Asahi was $17 plus card surcharge! Local craft brewery was 9.60 for a pint of local craft beer during happy hour.

It's a pub. Meals are basic really. Beer I wanted was only from a can not on tap, even though Young Henry's is a local brewers. A woman bludged money from me in the pokies area? So, very 70's.

Great pub, can't say the same for the food, its a pass, as there's better available for the money elsewhere locally

Good place to watch the UFC and other sports. Alright food which used to be better last year but other than that its a great place to get on the piss with the boys & girls.

Chicken schnitzel burger and prawn linguine was nice, but I think I overordered. The portions are large and the only negative thing I can say is that the schnitzel was a bit tough. Great experience.

Hadn't been here for over a year, they must have changed hands in the Kitchen. Ordered the Parmi, which was terrible, also the Monday steak special, equally as bad. Disappointing, I came a year ago and the food was amazing.

What can you say. It is a nice pub with a decent range of beers. Friendly staff. The beer garden has too many smokers.

Haven’t set foot in Glady for a number of years. New management have cleaned the place right up. Dinner was excellent paired with friendly genuine staff. Highly recommend led if your looking for good quality pub grub.

A big thank-you to the organisers of the films shown at the Gladstone Hotel. I’ve recently enjoyed Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho and James Whale’s The Bride Of Frankenstein. The atmosphere was terrific for Psycho, with a relatively large audience. Although there was a smaller turnout for The Bride If Frankenstein, it was still very enjoyable; the sunset shone into the room to give us a noir-ish sensation. What a treat to see quality films while sipping Reschs! Thanks very much for putting these films on. I hope this continues after the current advertised range of films ends.

Wonderful pub feed! Sat in the bistro, great pub that feels like it has heaps going on. The schnitty was incredible, chunky and well seasoned. Chips and salad were also great. On the slightly for expensive side for a schnitty but you get great value for money.

The Gladstone has a cool yet classic pub vibe. I love that they have a lot of events, trivia and cash giveaways regularly. Always a good reason to visit. I follow their Instagram page to get updates on all events that are taking place. Staff are really friendly and look out for you when you are feeling a bit unsafe.

Been here a bunch of times and enjoyed all of them, the food and vibe are tops for a pub.

The place was clean, modern and warm. My green tea was massive, so that was nice. The bar tender who made it for me was friendly and helpful. The burger was delicious but the order was taken by someone who was either having a bad day, bored out of her brain or had something else going on because she was like a zombie and made no effort except to punch in numbers and tell me how much it was.

What a sad little pub , it’s like geriatrics anonymous in there . The food menu is so expensive and ordinary. The decor ….maybe a upgrade from the 80’s. No personality no soul ….the owner is a complete flog 🤷🏼‍♂️😂

Low key, friendly staff, traditional Aussie pub, with a good house rose . Been a few times and the food is consistently excellent - even better than your usual pub fare!!

Solid little local pub. Has all the staples with the exception of a pool table. -Meat trays on a Thursday -Dog friendly outdoor area -Easy parking (out the back) Protip: sign up for free membership (has an app called Publinc) swipe your card and get 2 for 1 drink promos randomly. Negative- Quality of food isn't great. But has all the classics if you're a few jugs deep and starting to sway... -Staff are all lovely -Decent range of pokies -Smoking area in pokies and out the back in beer garden -Tab/Keno -Drinks prices are reasonable for the area TL;DR - If you drink, smoke and gamble this is the place for you

I've only been living in Dully for just under a year and have come to really enjoy the Gladstone being my local. It has a great friendly atmosphere, nice beer garden and the staff know how to have a good time. I bring my greyhound with me occassionally and the staff are so accommodating, making sure he has water and giving him lots of pats. Really have to give it to the staff for being the highlight, it's always a great time at the Gladdy.

The food is so good here, always well seasoned and the chicken schnitzel is always super delicious! I recommend the chicken tacos as well.

I should have gone with the schnitzel as it was only a dollar more but no, for some reason, I decided to choose the beef nachos. My bad. It really was not worth the $24 that I paid for it. I got schmear of beef mince and bean (barely enough to cover a handful of chips), a dollop of sour cream and guacamole dip, a bit of melted cheese, a tonne of salty corn chips, all topped with a revolting supermarket Doritos style dip sauce, which the server tried to convince me was made in the kitchen. I left most of the meal. It was a thoroughly unpleasant experience I won’t be repeating anytime soon.

This is just to counteract my housemates neg reviews from last night we usually have fun there despite the relative lack of coopers beers I mean it wouldn’t hurt to put coopers back on tap but

Several bars, lots of beers including US west coast-style IPA. We just had beer - Balter XPA for me and an Australian pale ale for husband. Sat inside - not bad atmosphere in main bar. Outside would have been nicer (rooftop tables). Snacks for sale in vending machine in sports bar. Restaurant available but we didn’t try. Nice gin collection - will have to try next visit

The food was very nice but we don't purchase wine these days as far too expensive.

The restaurant is Greek stye and whilst delicious, it is a little pricey. $26 for lamb Souvlaki. The dips were nice and they were generous with the pita bread. The pub has Espresso martinis on tap as well, if thats your thing.

The lady at the bar upstairs for the busy gig was fantastic. She gave amazing service even with disrespectful patrons. She was friendly & went above & beyond. Girl deserves a raise, thanks so much lovely! You're doing fab.

Perfect local pub. Great pub food. Plenty of tap beer options. They even made my wife an Aperol Spritz even though they didn’t know what it was 😂. Awesome for sports and main events too.

Since its recent Sale, the food menu has gone downhill in a VERY big way, in both quality and quantity (value for money) ... At first after the sale, the original kitchen staff were there, so it was easy to see that the new owners put the "squeeze" on them ... but now there seems to be a complete new kitchen staff (and no longer an AWESOME Greek food based menu that was ALWAYS awesome), so explains why the quality has dropped IMMENSELY. .... so much so that I won't be back anytime soon, and all my friends have said the same. Such a pity to see it go downhill Sooooo much.

Enjoy going here for a beer, crack and watching footy as a local. Need to have a look at the beers offered and in particular pricing… was reading a number of the comments and agreed, why are they all expensive craft sales over $10/ schooner? This is a local pub so should offer beers across a wider range including price.

Favourite place to eat in Dulwich hill, please don’t change your bistro menu again. Waited for this menu to come back since lockdown <3

If they say they're open - most likely not, make sure to go early night! Great, friendly bartenders but the open times are extremely erratic so must avoid for late night ventures but hopefully they stay open in the early evening, who can tell? Impossible. edit: they close two hours early on a Friday without indication, ridiculous prices and ridiculous management at the moment. Hopefully bounces back.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
