Great place for a cocktail 🍹 if you're in the area. The servers are very nice and the drinks good. Well worth visiting if you're in the area.

Very cute and cosy little wine bar. Good wine selection and great cocktails. The share plates are really delicious. I would definitely recommend Bench for drinks on a date or for a cosy tipple with a friend of an evening. It's a shame there aren't more places like this on the south end of King St!

Chose Bench bar as the venue for my 50th Birthday and couldn't be happier. Had enough folks to book exclusively and the staff were fantastic. Service and food were great and they were very accommodating about my party requests- including dietary requirements and some rather raucous and bad Karaoke. Fantastic drink options as well- thoroughly recommend to anyone considering as a function venue. Great little wine bar but definitely try the cocktails. I've had many here and all were great. But be warned they are not cheap! Still the atmosphere and staff make it worth the price.

Great little place for a delicious cocktail, or wine. Rob the bar tender is second to none. The prices are reasonable too. If you want good atmosphere, chilled music and good drink this is the place to be.

Lovely selection of wine and great staff - we went in for a refreshing beverage on a 30oC day and the staff made sure we got cold water from the fridge rather than the water sitting out on the bar. It's the little things. Thanks guys, we'll be back!

I had a great time here on a quiet Saturday night. The wine selection is well thought out, and the hosts gracious. Seek this lovely wine bar out if you are in newtown.

Great to have a couple of drinks and nibbles before heading to the new theatre across the road.

My wife and I enjoyed excellent Tapas and Superb French wines at Bench Wine Bar on Saturday 17 January. We started with Peking duck pancakes and then Lamb Cutlets. In fact we had a second serve of the pancakes as they were so tasty and a serving of Zucchini and Feta Balls. The atmosphere was ambient with very pleasant music and the artwork in mural was relaxing to look at. The windows open onto King Street so you can watch the passing parade ad there is air conditioning to keep you comfortable. We stayed longer than planned and had Churros and a 2 Cheese Board including a St Andre Triple Cream from France with fresh Strawberry and a Bleu de Bresse with Honey served with muscatels and lavosh. Superb cuisine combined with excellent customer service and definite value for money well spent. We will be back. Cheers.
