Renovate and triple your prices. They have cocktails that are barrel aged using ingredients that are never in a barrel. One of those places that adds words to add $20. Food was not great and was sick the next day from the nachos. Would be good if they went back to pub basics and reasonable prices until then go elsewhere.

Hands down the best pub in the Inner West. We've been regulars there for years and always super friendly staff behind the bar, great food coming from the kitchen (their sirloin is contender for best pub steak in Sydney!) and always a fun crowd of locals. Prop yourself up at the bar, which by the way, has to be one of the best bar-tops in Sydney and enjoy a drink or two. Oh, if you can find a friendlier front door security guy in Sydney, then hats off to you, because there can't possibly be one! Without doubt one of my very favourite pubs ... anywhere in Australia. Cheers SPH, we'll be back very soon. 🍺🍷🥩🥃

Love this spot! My friend and I have started coming here for Sunday roast and to watch UFC. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Their Sunday roast is delicious and a solid portion size!

Best food I’ve ever eaten at a pub. Highly recommend the Sunday roasts, chicken parmi, and the calamari. Absolutely phenomenal. My bank account is crying but my tummy is happy.

Really nice room at a good price. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Free snacks, water & toiletries on arrival. Comfy bed. Also have room service so no need to go down go the pub for dinner which I appreciated a lot!

Great pub feed! Went on a Tuesday night and it had a great buzzy atmosphere. I had the chicken burger with slaw which was delicious. It was buttermilk chicken which is slightly different to your normal chicken, the added bonus is that it is GF, like a lot of their dishes. The chips were seasoned with oregano which was a wonderful touch.

The place I love to stay when in the area, clean facilities & close to everything, great service behind the bar even though they were under the pump.

Amazing pub vibe; but the food is somewhat a disgrace. 30 dollars for a Parmi, which is just two chicken thighs put together. Please do better. Absolute robbery. I’d highly recommend warrenview hotel for a proper feed rather than here.

Just a quick overnight stay. Pretty above average for a pub room. Rooms quite from pub, but wasn't a busy night. Only really other guest doors opening and shutting was loud. Building a little old but definitely clean and tidy. Meals were good and location wad too... st peters train station next door and good walk through Sydney park.

Really lovely little pub down the south end of king with one of the worst parmigiana’s I’ve ever had. $30 for that mess is crazy.

Only spending a day in Australia as we had a flight onwards to new Zealand, but let me tell you that this place is actually great. Fantastic and comfortable rooms with nice fixtures and fittings. Roof fan, space heater if you need it. Rooms smell nice, a good collection of body lotion, shampoo and body bars. Clean, functional and we'll stocked showers and toilets, don't be put off by them being shared, they're actually great. A nice and cosy kitchen in the lounge room where you can cook, use the fridge, male coffee etc. It's honestly a really nice place staffed by kind, considerate and helpful staff. My only negative is that we requested for an early check in and we're ghosted. When we turned up it was made clear that it was strictly a 1pm check in. So that's the 1 minus to service. So bear that in mind, otherwise it's a great place to rest and relax. Pub downstairs is sold too, and if you're into sports even better, food was reasonably priced and decent quality.

Really good pub down the end of King St near St Peters/Newtown. Good beers and wine and the food tasted great as well. The calamari and chicken bites were great. The staff were friendly and it was great to see that the pub is LGBT welcoming as well. Will definitely go back here with more friends.

Location! Location! This must be the Place! Lots of room in the dining up front for yummy burgers and steaks. Located right next to St Peters Train Station this is worth noting. Friendly bar staff and brews on top. Located in an an area that seem to be at the end of King Street this is One of the gems of Newtown that won't cost you the earth.

Really awesome food, beef brisket nachos are to die for , a condiment station with a range of mustards and hot sauces (why don't more places do this), great service and on the edge of the park if you feel like a run after drinking their excellent range of beers

We’ve eaten here a few times, we usually pick a pub for a cheaper meal early in the week. Beef burger, chicken burger, sausages, steak sandwich, nachos all have been good here, probably at the higher end of pub pricing but not outrageous. Wine prices are expensive for a pub, and not much choice, there was a Pinot Grigio or Gris for $45 and the rest start at $52, that’s expensive for a little pub in St Peters. That’s why the 3 stars. We can get a bottle of wine as cheap as $28, but most pubs we go to are in the $30-$38 range at the cheaper end. I think the General Gordon starts at $30 no wonder it’s packed all week. I have to say the beef burger & chicken burger were better here than the GG. I must say the barman knocking the back of my chair every time he walked past was annoying on a quiet night

We stayed here for a night away and not only was the accommodation clean and inviting but the service from Calvin and the team was above and beyond. The friendly vibes and his attention to detail is something rare that you don’t see much. Would recommend this place if it was for a night away, a meal or a drink! Cheers guys 🍻

Thank you so much Sydney Park Hotel. Totally was an amazing stay! Clean nicely smelling huge rooms, good quality toiletries provided, friendly and easy going staffs! Super strategic place with the train and bus stations less than 2 mins away. We had a great time.

The food was great, as were the cocktails. You can order from the table with a lil QR code if you don't wanna go up to the bar, but it takes a little longer. If you order cocktails, they give you table numbers so that they can be brought to you instead of waiting at the bar. The atmosphere is a bit meh. It was SO hot on the day I visited and there wasn't a whole lot going on to help manage that. We had a tab, and they needed a physical ID card to be able to set that up (who carries them anymore?). I ended up finding one floating around in my bag, and at the end of the night they forgot to give it back when we settled the tab. Ended up having to come back and retrieve it. The staff also struggled a bit with assisting with payment. We had corporate card details, but not the physical card, and they couldn't process it for us through their payment systems. It was tricky.

Just wanted to say thanks to the staff. Today my kid knocked a whole beer in my lap, the beer was full and although it was funny it could have been a lot more frustrating if the staff were not so good about it. I just wanted to make a point of thanking the staff that looked after us today.

Clean and fun local. Covid safe practices, great service and food as we had a large last minute group. Standing and seating areas, with a few TVs to cater for sport etc.

Honestly great value for money. The shared bathrooms are kept clean and the shower has good pressure and heat. Towels and small toiletries are provided in your room to use which is great (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and a soap bar). The room itself was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and there's a small heater for the room in the colder months which is perfect! The shared kitchen area (same floor as the rooms and bathrooms) has a lovely table you can sit and eat/chill at. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, crockery - enough that you can cook your own meals there and a big fridge to store your day's groceries. They also provide tea bags and coffee as well. Do note though, the entrance to the rooms is not through the bar/pub itself (though the bar itself is where you check-in). There's a door down the side (left) of the bar doors that is the entrance to the hotel itself and you have to climb the stairs 1 flight to get to the hotel floor.

Went there for a few drinks and lunch with family. Nicely decorated and bright with lots of natural sunlight. Food was excellent. Prices are what you would expect for the area. Siuated at the bottom of King street its a good place to relax after seeing all the sites that king street has to offer. Do it.

Visited on Sunday for a Roast with friends. Used to come here often but the quality of food has really dropped -especially for the price. The $32 Porchetta roast they have changed to was burned on the edges and over salted. In addition all the roasted veg was undercooked, I couldn’t even get a knife into the piece of roasted pumpkin. It’s also pretty unfair to charge an extra $1 for a Yorkshire pudding when they are clearly the frozen ones from a packet and were really disappointing. Such a shame that a place that once did an awesome roast has really gone down hill. I won’t order again.

Perfect location - next to a train station, bus stops and it's so easy to stroll through Newtown and enjoy the area. King size bed is incredibly comfortable, the shared kitchen and bathrooms are spotless and nice to use, they have little touches like free snacks, free earplugs, free wifi which are lush plus if you're into PokemonGo it's right next to two gyms and pokestops. Its nice to be able to pop down to the pub or even get some room service and the drinks and food are delicious!

Great pub. Good location. Great food. It's only let down by the lack of variety of beers on tap. They have a heap of different Pale Ale's, so if you're a Pale Ale fan, you're sweet. If you want anything else, it's Resches or Carlton draught.

Exceptionally good service! We went with my son and my mate and his two kids. Calvin was so lovely and when I left my son’s stuff in there, he ran out of the pub to give it back to us. What a star. Friendly pub, great food, exceptional service. Thanks again!

Such an amazing hotel. Very cute rooms, lovely thoughtful interior design and so clean! Also the staff were exceptional, from the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and super accommodating. The best hospitality staff we experienced in all of Newtown! We will definitely stay here again and have recommended this hotel to friends and family. Also the added bonus of a fantastic pub downstairs!
