Cute small and fancy restaurant. Starters were delicious! I could have had 2 more portions of each! Afterwards we had a potato dish and then a steak dish. Both were quite small - degustation size I would say. I was quite underwhelmed with the cooking and the size of the steak. Usually at other restaurants they give you one steak to share. But I felt like we received 1/4-1/3 of a piece. They used wagyu but a well cooked cheaper cut wouldve been better and it could be bigger as well! Unfortunately after paying $100 each for the tasting menu, I left hungry 😞 You could add additional dishes but I feel for $100 you should be allowed to feel full.

If you’re looking for fine dining on the outskirts of the CBD area, Hartsyard is the go-to restaurant. The restaurant is fairly small and the portion sizes are also small so if you’re coming hungry, it’s probably best to add on extra dishes.

Not a bad spot with an interesting menu but extremely overpriced. Lovely venue with charm but the tasting menu feels like they are trying to be something else that doesn't fit with the location and atmosphere. Shocked to have paid 350 for 2 to still feel hungry afterwards. Better off going to somewhere fancy in the city for that price. Nicer for just a couple drinks and a snack.

Had this during the covid make it yourself menu - I felt a lot of the dishes were on the sweeter side of things, my palette preference is more so savoury. The ribs had amazing flavours and incredibly moist - so good! However I wasn’t a massive fan of the mussels with the cucumber sauce - not cucumber sauce was not to my liking and felt it was quite chewy.

The food was amazing!! We got the scallops, kingfish collar, sirloin and pumpkin seed ice cream! The best we’re the kingfish and pumpkin seed ice cream! It’s rare for restaurants to cook with the collar/belly but it’s my favourite part and it was so flavourful. The pumpkin seed ice cream was unique and flavourful but not too sweet. Great food! Interior design isn’t the best- chairs are uncomfortable. It would also be awesome if they composted their food waste/scraps.

Had the pleasure of dining in for the 6 course Etta x Hartsyard collab - and i'm so glad I did! Every course was delicious! We ordered an addition of the moonlight flat oysters which were creamy and paired with a refreshing pink peppercorn granita, starters were absolutely moreish (we tried to ask if we could order another round) and every course after that complimented each other nicely. Overall a great night of quality food, such a shame it was only a 1 night stint!

Another outstanding meal, and the best Valentine’s Day set menu I can remember. Each dish was stunning and just when you think the current one is the best, the next one tops it. Despite being totally full, the staff were great and everything together made it a night to remember.

A very delicious and delightful dinner. We ordered $80pp tasting menu and this doesn't disappoint us at all. Photos are for 3 to share. Size was generous but every bite comes with full of flavour. My favourite starter is the cuttlefish because its texture was so good. For the mains we had pork jowl - you gotta eat this one when it was hot/warm and the fat will melt in your mouth, 100% guilty pleasure. Dessert has nice balance too. Hartsyard doesn't make fried chicken anymore but the new concept impresses us a lot. 5 star and would definitely come back again for the freshness and flavour.

What a fantastic little restaurant. This establishment blurs the lines between fine dining and a casual atmosphere and does it with great results. The food is perfection. Tasty morsels, so intricately presented and perfectly balanced. Every dish was a hit - like the perfect bite over and over again. The service was likewise, spot on. Attentive yet professional and friendly. With a menu that changes seasonally and dishes that are frequently updated, this is a restaurant I’ll be going back to regularly.

Delicious evening out! Service was lovely from the moment we arrived, really elevated the experience with their knowledge of the menu and wine list plus really friendly! I would recommend the tasting menu, each course was better then the last. Cannot wait to go back!

My partner and I excitedly celebrated our anniversary here tonight and Aidan was our server and he was kind, knowledgeable, and personable. The food was incredible. I am fructan and sorbitol intolerant and my partner is a vegetarian and Hartsyard we’re happy to accomodate the dietary requirements. 10/10 recommend.

The portion was ridiculous. We eat all sorts of restaurants including fine dining all the time, but this place is just ridiculous. Some dishes were over-cooked. Some were extremely salty. Octopus was nice. But other dishes were average or lower than average. If you want to make more money, it’s better to price up your menu instead of saving money from food portion, which is a really stupid way to do and makes your food look miserable. And the waiter wasn’t so polite. If you want good tips you need to love your guests first. Don’t expect any tips if your guests cant see your sincere smiles.

Been a few times now and the menu changes but its always tasty and beautifully presented. More on the pricier side but a great option for date night. Staff have been really friendly on all visit.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
