Side dishes were a huge let down, the meat in the rice paper rolls was precooked then reheated by microwave (which we watched them doing) to be wrapped so we found these dry. The betel leaf wrapped beef was worse - likely microwaved as well, to the point the pieces on the outer edge of the plate could be described as jerky. Pho was a bit below average, it lacked adequate herbs and aromas. However, unlike usual vietnamese restaurants, there was already a predetermined amount of sprouts and pennywort leaves added rather than provided on the side. Sauce was portioned in a small dish rather than in a bottle. Felt this was slightly overpriced and pretty underwhelming.

I would like to say that the experience at this restaurant was less than subpar. This review is long but I explain in detail why this place has lost its touch. When I entered the restaurant the waiter stared blankly at me and asked eating in or takeaway. I was eating in and then he just went back to his tablet. He then just looked at me and said why haven't you taken a seat...questionable attitude. I liked the idea of ordering food through an app but I question the point of paying straight away. When I got the food and drinks I quickly understood why... We ordered chicken pho, chicken and rice plate and 2 viet coffees. Now for $16 each dish I would've expected alot more quality at least but unfortunately they clearly skimped out on both quality and quantity. Chicken Pho The soup was bland. I had trouble tasting any flavour other than the spices when usually a good soup base should have the spicy and salty well rounded flavour. The lemon slices they provided were dry to the point that when I squeezed only flesh of the lemon came out. I thought to give them another chance and asked for more lemon slices and all 4 additional slices were worse than the first. Chicken and rice I was confused when we received the plate as the veggies featured Green string beans and broccoli.. the veggies were overcooked to the point I felt like was eating a cheap TV roast dinner. The fried chicken was okay, not $16 okay but it was a welcome relief from the other dissapointments. Vietnamese coffee I've had alot of Vietnamese coffee and it is meant to be a strong bold coffee flavour with sweetness to round it off but for some reason at this restaurant they put some sort of coconut syrup in the drinks. The drink was soo sweet I felt diabetes coming on and I became sick. I've seen all the other stellar reviews and I am sorely dissapointed. This is not the place you want to go if you want Vietnamese food. Honestly there are lots of other places that serve better quality food cheaper.

Slow service, took over 30mins for 2 bowls of pho. The broth was good, quite flavoursome and not overly salty. They are very generous with the meats but my rice noodles were quite broken up. $17 for theregular size beef combination is on the dearer side

What kind of pho place is this? They already put in the bean sprouts in the soup. What a mess! They give you the hoisin sauce, chilly and chilly sauce in a miniature bowl. The bowls are chipped. The pho itself is lukewarm, it tastes quite ok but not being able to add my own sauces and bean sprouts is not right.

Tried a pho with family for the first time. There was nothing I liked about their pho. Cannot trust the star rating of 4.1, how did this restaurant get over rating of 4.0? 1. Saw a large cocoroche scrawling on the wall just after we placed the order using the QR code. No tea served and ordering and payment is through the Web. 2. $18 pho broth was not even warm, it was also served with 50% sprout and 50% noodle. The mint was not even fresh and looked dry and bruised. The beef broth was murky and all I could taste was artificial MSG along with the taste of sprout juice. See the photo, they filled the bowl with 50% sprout to serve less portion of noodle. 3. Serve was so small, the 18 dollar pho is for a primary school children size. Small ball, for a normal bowl, you have to pay $3 more and pay $21. I went to the Marrickville pork roll place and had to spend another $8 to fill my stomach. 4. Stay away from this restaurant if you have another option. Very disappointed and this will be my first and the last time visit to this restaurant. Sigh...

Walked up and down Marrickville road to look for an old school authentic Pho place but couldn't find one and tried to avoid the trendy modern Vietnamese restaurants as they are over priced and dumbed down. It was raining so it left me with little choice but to give this place a shot since it seemed to specialise in 'Fuh'. Ordered off the QR code and realised it was a bit overpriced but curiosity got the better of me and ordered a Combination Pho $21. Was expecting it to be a large for this price but needed to add $3 so I stuck to the regular to test the place out. The wait was a little long as they prioritised takeaway orders first. The longer I waited, the less I expected and dreaded the worst since there were no sauces on the table and no plate of condiments brought after the order. Log story short, the soup was sensational and one of the best ones in Sydney; rich and flavourSOME but could have been a little hotter. The rare beef was tender as was the brisket, the beef balls were good quality, the tripe was perfectly cooked as was the gelatinous tendon. The noodles were silky smooth. It still would have been good if they kept the beanshoots and basil on the side though. If you want a good authentic Pho, this is the place to go to!!

Ordered some rare beef fuh for hubby as take away and as you can see in the photo the meet is literally raw. There is blood and all in it. We have been coming here for years and the quality has just dropped in all aspects. My son only had 2 broccolis in his fuh and my vegan fuh had just 2 vegetables in it if you don’t include the onion. The size of the cabbage is the size of my head. It’s like they literally threw the veges in and you can tell very little time and effort has gone into chopping and preparing the vegetables. I honestly don’t know how places like this can stay in business. Service was not good either. Man on the phone was trying to cut corners with some of the simple requests I made. I asked for the meals to be ready to be picked up at 6.20pm so my hubby can do so on the way home from work but he told me to call back closer to the time and when I told him it wasn’t an option as I will be busy with my baby he then agreed to it but didn’t seem too happy about it. This was their last chance. I will never come here again. Please don’t risk food poising your self and certainly don’t waste your money and time.

Broth is fine but the beef is definitely over cooked and chewy. Not what I expect for rare beef pho! Do not recommend.

The service and food quality have dropped sufficiently (from 5 star to 2) since lockdown and is becoming worsen by the day. Used to be my go to pho place and I’m still hoping it is but the last 3 times really done it for me. I have gave up on this shop now. $18 for a regular bowl so it is the most expensive place for pho I have paid for to get the poor quality of pho and service. I could get much better pho in Hurstville for $12.50. The pho came with literally two basil leaves now (not joking) so I asked for abit more and the waitress went to the kitchen and came back saying they don’t have any left because business was good but when I done eating and walk passed the kitchen on the way out I saw they have heaps of basil sitting on the bench top and this isn’t the first time they’ve used such lame excuse to declined my request for standard garnish. Since they have introduced the QR code for self ordering their service has slacked off. Like they only bring the food to your table and never come to check on you and ask whether you’re good or not. It has become a standard fast food joint rather than a restaurant business. $18 a bowl of pho isn’t worth for this kind of business concept!

Nice and convenient suburban restaurant. The food was moderately costly for what it is given location and quality but overall satisfying. The broth has some nice flavours, I could taste the cinnamon and star anise. The service was friendly and genuine.

I went yesterday to have a vegan laksa and what a disappointment, the noodles used in the dish were very thin and very less in comparison to another restaurants, a huge amount of bean sprouts on my dish (usually they come on the side), the taste of the soup was okey, but jot enough for the $21 dollars I paid for each laksa. If you wanna have a vegan laksa, go to Golden Lotus, way better food and less price

This place used to be so good a while back and it’s progressively been getting worse. More of a cafeteria vibe. Loud jarring noises coming from the exposed prep kitchen. Not a good look. Office lighting and no music. No vibe at all. Service has gone down hill to none existent now that you scan and pay at the table. But the most dissatisfying and disappointing part was the food. It’s nowhere near what it used to be. You can tell from the image we left basically eating any of it. The flavors were not present and ingredients used. Chicken plain boiled and tossed in to mask it. Watered down broth including the Laksa. And mushrooms the texture of tyre’s This was the second chance. I thought we would give it another go but that’s 2 strikes now and we won’t be going back.

4.5 Stars. Nice little Pho shop with a good variety on the menu. The combination Pho was very impressive and they have a vegetarian pho option as well. The beef in betel leaf was delicious. Service was very good. Oh and so were the coconut and Viet ice coffee drinks.

Ordered chicken pho, vegan laksa, and noodle salad. The QR code menu was a little annoying. Jasmine tea was very bitter. I liked that they offered a variety of vegan options.

Stopped here for dinner with a couple of friends and had a good time. It was so fresh and quick. The ordering was done on QR and we had the laksa, pho, fish cakes and spring rolls. Will be back for sure.

Went on a rainy day and a nice hot bowl of delicious pho is perfect to warm yourself up. Unfortunately the food was quite slow to arrive despite ordering immediately as we knew what we wanted.

A local secret, that is not shared. What a fantastic place to grab an amazing bowl of the richest most flavoursome Pho you may have ever tried. If you love Pho, you owe it to yourself to make the drive down to Marrickville on Illawarra Road and visit this establishment. The venue has a nice grunge feel and is a great place to catch up with friends over a delicious meal. I only come here for the pho, so I can’t comment on the other dishes. Got a

Went there with family. Eating the beef stew noodle with detergent taste towards the end. The bowl was served with stained initially but I didn't question and bothered about it. Waitress was polite and apologetic but insisted that is the taste of the beef stew, even though other pieces of the meat tasted fine when only the one closer the wall of the bowl end tasted awful. I explained that the bowl was not properly washed. but I was directed to call and plead my case to the owner. The restaurant hygienic is also in question. I'd be keen to see the NSW food safety supervisors (https://www.foodauthority.nsw.gov.au/) to put this on the list of interest.

Delicious authentic Vietnamese pho in the heart of Marrickville. Flavourful and rich broth, perfectly cooked rice noodles and tender beef - topped with basil, bean sprouts, chilli and lemon juice. Highly recommended of you're after a hot bowl of pho; best enjoyed in the cold weather!

Love this place. It’s an unpretentious friendly eatery with a funky vibe. We each had beef noodle salads at $ 19 each and we both agreed it was super delicious. We sat at tables at the window and enjoyed the street scene on a Monday early evening.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
