Came here on a Saturday for dinner. It's a nice cosy place and the staff are welcoming. It does get busy, so I suggest you make a reservation. We ordered the Lepinja (grilled homemade bread) and the mixed meat for 2 (served with salad). The bread was nice and soft! And the mixed meat portion was quite generous! One thing that put me off about the mixed meat plate was the chicken, as it gave a butane taste to it. But all the other meats were nice. So, I would say if you avoid the chicken, the rest of it is quite nice. FYI, your clothes will smell of smoke, as the grill opens out to the dining area. Hit a like, if this review was helpful 👍

We got a wide array of meat and kajmak (traditional Balkan cream) and man this was all phenomenal. The meat was some of the most tender i’ve had in ages & the salad was refreshing. Will definitely be coming back!

Was hoping to try some nice traditional Croatian/Serbian/Macedonian food. Must admit it was better than most of the food I had in Croatia and Montenegro recently whilst on holiday there. Went for lunch, place was very quiet so maybe that detracted from the atmosphere.

I love this place. it is the best. The food is great. Goran is a man who knows how to grill anything exactly how you want it perfectly. The star though are the staff, especially Eleni. Such a big character with a huge personality. Absolutely gorgeous with the biggest smile & an incredible laugh that fills the room. You won’t necessarily get the full Eleni experience when the place is busy, but she is always the professional. You'll get great, efficient service no matter what. Do yourself a favour & check this place out.

The food is pretty overpriced. Plus the menu is way too big, there are too many options. I wasn't very satisfied with the quality of the food for what I paid. However the staff are very friendly and gave us lots of complimentary food and drinks.

Best Serbian food in Sydney!

I have been there many times. Awesome tasting Balkan food. Very tasty food, big portions and owners plus staff are very hospitable. Owned by former Yugoslavs and dispite the tensiin from that region they cater to all the nationalities from the region without prejudice. Kudos. Highly recommended.

Staff friendly and helpful, mixed grill for 2 with seafood was great the Vienna Schnitzel with Chicken was really nice , highly recommend and will go back again.

This place makes the juiciest cevapi known in Sydney!!! We had the pork and tried the beef cevapi. Wow they were amazing. Bread was soft and grilled. Garlic prawns were yummy in red sauce. Was super cosy with my partner. Didn't have space for dessert but will definitely come again to try some. 10/10

If you are looking for delicious, generous Balkan food this is the place to visit. If you never been in that part of the world than be prepared to have the biggest meal of your life. There are many delicious dishes at this restaurant but our favourite is mixed grilled meat because it’s too hard to pick just one from a long menu. Definitely try “kajmak” (something like ricotta but better) with warm pita bread for starters as well as “sopska” salad. Another favourite dish from our childhood is “sarma” cabbage leaves with minced meat. If you can handle alcohol try some “rakija” and pick from few different flavours: pear, peach, plum . My favourite is honey one. If you still can manage desert after all the food go for “tulumba” similar to Greek dolmades but better 😉

First visit. Was not disappointed. Authentic family business. Welcoming and friendly. If you love your meat, then the Europe Grill is the place for you. So many choices. Great meals. Lots of tasty cold beers, and you can BYO wine. Highly recommended..

I went there on the weekend for lunch. It was a great experience, we tried the seafood platter and grilled pork and chicken on skewer. They gave us some sausage to try too. It was wonderful, the sausage was just juicy, unlike sausage I had tried before. the octopus was really good. pork was tender I can never grill pork like that at home, it either goes really hard uneatable or not cooked, but it was juicy and tender pork fillet on a skewer. Would try again.

Seafood platter for two, real grilled and delicious ! Both foods are great. Friendly staff. Price reasonable for a seafood. Parking is a nightmare though.

Authentic Eastern European food. Very hearty and tasty, full of flavour. Service was good, meat cooked well. Reasonably priced. Very loud though, with seating so tight.

This is the place to experience Wast European cuisine. Mixed meats dish is an must try as well as the mixed seafood. They have the traditional sausages that are so hard to find in Australia. Simply delicious. Highly recommended

Half the items on the seafood platter where not very fresh, namely the barra and the crab. Would not recommend their seafood. However, the meat dishes were perfect -especially the juicy cevapi sausages, the cheese bread & the accompanying cabbage and potato salad.

Amazing food! We got the seafood meat platter and the lovaska which was amazing! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the food! The quince rakija tops it off!

The food here is really tasty, seasoned well, fresh, and cooked to order really well. Chef Goran is amazing and cooks superbly. Food portions are really good sizes. We are a family of 5 (kids 13,9, and 7) and had a mixed grill for 2, octopus, chicken schnitzel, and a children's spaghetti bolognaise We all enjoyed the food, no negatives at all from any of us. Thank you, Europe grill. We will be back and recommend that people come here 😀

Be hungry when you go here the quantities aren't for fussy eaters. Amazing salads and meats. Variety of drinks and desserts this is a great place for a group celebration or just couple of mates catching up over a hearty meal.

Warm and feiendly table service from the hostess, extensive European hand made old school dishes, made to original and authentic recipies. Reasonably priced. Geeat night out.

A mama and papa restaurant which specialises in grilled seafood and meats. The cevapi is home made and done very well. A must try is their grilled hot chillis where they soak it in olive oil, vinegar and garlic. A very good complement to the grilled food you will have. I always have the grilled combo platter for two as it is more than enough for two people. Definitely good value for money!

One of my favourite places to eat in Newtown. Have been coming here for years, food is consistently delicious, generous portions, super friendly service from the owners. Love the complimentary pear liqueur. Last night though, had their home made trilece cake for the first time and I've been dreaming about it ever since!

Great restaurant, the food is delicious. It's my "go to" when I need a food fix. My favourite restaurant in Newtown.

Too much food, the meals were good and very generous, had the mixed grill all amazing but the pork chop tasted a bit off. But good hosts and decent prices, will go back.

One of the finest restaurants in Newtown. Every time we come here we are charmed by the old-fashioned service, the welcoming atmosphere and of course the unbelievably good food. The homemade Ajvar is excellent, and for mains you have to try the meat and seafood banquets and also the slow cooked goat. I cannot underestimate just how much I love that goat.

Horrible service, rude hostess. We walked in at 3:40pm today as the restaurant was still open and asked if they were still serving food as we missed lunch and were hungry. The woman working that day basically glared at us and begrudgingly said, “well, I don’t know. I’ll ask the chef,” as if we were inconveniencing her. She then told us to take a seat and didn’t even bother to speak to the chef. Instead, she stood in front of the TV to continue watching her show. We walked out with no apology. Not coming back again.

First, poor service: other reviews have mentioned the gruff, rude older lady that runs the place - my group’s experience was the same. Second, very average food: the meat was rubbery and extremely salty, and the sides were bland. There were 8 of us at dinner and all bar one was extremely disappointed. I really don’t get the 5-star reviews here. Either they had a really off night, or we ordered wrong, or this place is grossly overrated. Think twice before you book.
