👍👍 This name of this restaurant says it all, you really got to "slurp up that soup" which is definitely one of the best broths in Sydney. My favourite dishes here are Pho Dac Biet and Bun Bo Hue, both come with a intensely flavoursome yet well-balanced broth. Another I love here is the Egg Coffee that... Food is tasty and the portion are quite big! I especially love their bun bo hue. We ordered the vermicelli salad with extra spring rolls and did not expect to get that many spring rolls! The Vietnamese pancake was a bit too greasy but tasted good and the laksa had quite a light flavour, but it was also tasty.

What a neighbourhood gem! Had takeaway Bún bò Huế (rice noodle dish - soup was very tasty and spicy - love it!) & Bánh xèo (Vietnamese pancake) Portion was very generous and the food prepared perfectly - very tasty and loaded with fresh ingredients. Big portion of veggie and condiments were given. Highly recommended and looking forward to try the other items.

This is one of my favourite go-to places whenever I'm in Newtown. There are other Vietnamese restaurants in the area, but I'm willing to walk extra to the end of Enmore Road just to eat here. I highly recommended their noodle soups and rice dishes, especially the special Vietnamese beef noodle soup or the spicy beef noodle soup. They might sound the same but the flavour profiles and noodle texture are very different. The restaurant also have an extensive range of Vietnamese teas, coffees and beers for that nostalgic taste along with the usual smoothies. I just love it! The owner and staff here are super friendly, like your next-door neighbour vibe which makes me feel like I'm actually in VN whenever I'm there. The cool interior design also gives off that aesthetic aspect which Newtown is famous for. You can enjoy food while submerging the art inside the restaurant too. It looks better at night time when the lanterns are lit up. There is, however, room for improvements. I once had this egg soda where I couldn't finish the drink because the yolk was not done properly and gave off this distinctive raw egg yolk taste. I think this was the case of someone unfamiliar with the making process having to try it out since not many people actually order egg soda like myself. Hence, I can let it slide since my experience with the restaurant has always been a plus. I probably won't try the egg soda again here tho. All in all, will still come back again with my friends so they know what authentic Vietnamese cuisine is like.

I found out this place probably 2 weeks ago and I went for dinner yesterday and today, if I could go tomorrow, I would too! The chicken skewers were nice, I loved the sauce that they come with (I think it was peanut sauce). I also LOVE the Pho. The large size Pho is MASIVE and so tasty, perfect for the cold winter days as well. I haven't got the chance to talk with the staff yet but they all seem pretty friendly! Definitely will be coming back 😊

so big that I cant even finish it all. The broth is full in flavor, all the beef is tender and juicy, and the veggies are fresh. Highly recommend for everyone who is looking for authentic Bun Bo Hue

This little place does a good job of the dishes I tried so far and whilst basically Newtown, it strangely is now not as painful as Marrickville!! Once upon a time I went to Marrickville because it offered an authentic experience with great flavours at a better price than Newtown. The other benefit is that you could park around the corner. Now it has gone the other way with Marrickville now overrun with people subsequently no parking and prices through the roof. No cards accepted or if it is no receipt and a surcharge. No split bills, no tea etc This place has good height tables, split bills, no problem, parking free at rear. I will return to try a few more dishes but could easily become a regular haunt.

Our weekly must visit restaurant. The portion is big. My boy enjoys the rice noodle at the Alley. He likes to go with pork chop or crispy chicken. I like the crispy noodle and pho. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

If you want an authentic Vietnamese food experience then it's the place to be. 1st time I have Bun Bo Hue with porc blood in Sydney 😅. Tasty food, big portion with good price. They also have Vietnamese Trung Nguyen coffee with the traditional

2 stars is generous if I am being honest. We had the chicken satay skewers and quail to start. The satay sauce was very thick and tasted straight out of a jar, and chicken incredibly dry. The quail was ok. The pork belly tasted very stale and old. The crispy chicken was also very average. The tomato rice and broth was quite nice. Overall, very disappointing. The one redeeming factor is service is very friendly and prompt. But would never eat here again.

Had the takeaway Thick rice noodle w/coconut sauced bbq pork and salad. Dine in to try the Bun cha and the Vietnamese coconut ice coffee. The grilled pork has very strong charcoal aftertaste yet the texture is very tender. Same is the meat ball in Bun cha. I like the layer of textures in the coconut ice coffee and the nice taste of creamy coconut with the strong coffee.

So... after a few months of being a consistent customer, I'm disappointed. The food is good, but I have issue with the deceptive practices. I've been treated well by the male staffer, he's easygoing and good for a chat and has always charged me correctly. But the lady is deceptive and has overcharged me twice. First it was by $5, which I went back to contest and got back, and now she overcharged me by $3. Fool me once... fool me twice... Bottom line: good food but be very careful about the final charge.

For a full flavoured bowl of Vietnamese Pho, this has to be one of the best in Sydney. Overfilling large portion and the price is very reasonable! Their Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef soup) is up in the ranks too! You must try the Vietnamese iced coconut coffee!! Did I mention they have the best spring rolls too? This family run restaurant is warming with pleasant service A pleasure supporting local business!

Authentic Vietnamese food. Really love the all the dishes we ordered. The service is top and atmosphere feels like home. This place is very underrated, definitely would go back again. 10/10 would recommend the Vietnamese pancakes.

Talk about value for money! I ordered delivery from here for the first time expecting the "eh, it's okay" experience that my jaded soul has come to know. I was so wrong and pleasantly so! The food was absolutely fantastic as delivery, I imagine my head will implode if I ever dine in. So much flavour in each dish. This place is truly a gem, and I will definitely be ordering from them again.
