Rice Pantry - St Peters

Catering service Vietnamese restaurant

👍👍 True fusion, I didn't know that the flavour of a burger could take me back to Vietnam. A great local surprise. You can grab a beer from out the back at Willie the boatman and eat and drink in the courtyard. Definitely worth the visit, I'll be back. People often mention service, Vietnamese, great, chicken,

Oh my! What a find this place is. Really neat little place with top notch Vietnamese food. The Vietnamese chicken burger is the top of the list in my opinion. This is quality food and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and great friendly service. The connection with precinct 75 adds to the whole experience. If you are I. The area you MUST visit here and enjoy. Highly recommended

If you are looking for the cutest place in Sydney to eat, you have found it. This wonderful cafe is run by a fab team. Their food is fresh and delicious. I love the mamma who cooks there. The workers are super friendly. Amazing food, I have brought many friends here who love it! Can't wait to be back!

Great service, amazing food. The chef has passion for his food, he smiles as he serves and creates. For the dessert, we had the Yuzu plate. It was amazing display of pallet. The Baos are great, so was the lemon grass chicken with garlic rice. The chicken was juicy, with the slight char on the skin. The mocktales were well balanced. This is what good restaurants should be as standard everywhere. The service was easy to work with, the staff responded immediately with ease. I’ll definitely revisit this place again.

Food was pretty expensive, although it is Marrickville so not surprising. Vietnamese chicken was lovely and fragrant with garlic, the roti was a tad cold and a bit dry but the dipping sauces were nice. The best part though was the crackling pork belly bao, could have easily demolished 10 of those! The service was phenomenal too.

Very quiet hideaway place. Run by Viet girls, as you can see the menu is filled with paper rolls, vermicelli salads and Viet coffee. I guess they do plenty takeaway orders, otherwise the sitting down is too quiet to keep the business floating. The crunchy paper roll is a must try. Burger is good effort, chips are cooked in small batch so very crunchy. Everything here is slow, peoperly done, very enjoyable. The only downside is they don't have a coffee machine. Very recommendable! Will return for more of those rice paper rolls and more!

We booked catering from the Rice Pantry as part of our wedding catering and the absolutely delivered!! Everyone is still talking about the chicken and eggplant bao buns. Pretty much all the food got eaten and we were very very happy with the service and quality. 10/10 Would recommend.

Tucked away, quiet location with an understated yet welcoming interior and a small but tasty range of dishes. The burgers offer a modern twist on classic Vietnamese flavours, and there’s a wide range of vermicilli dishes with interesting combinations of ingredients. If you’re looking for traditional Vietnamese fare, there’s also beef, vegetarian and vegan pho, as well as net spring rolls and daily special. A bit on the pricy side for the dish sizes, but all in all it’s a great option.

I’ve been here a few times, the staff is always lovely and friendly to interact with!! The Rice Pantry brings authentic Vietnamese cuisine but with a modern fusion twist. The taste reminds me of mum’s home cooking. Also feels like a hug from an asian Aunty but in this case, a Masterchef bear. Highly recommended anytime you’re feeling peckish or in need of quality substance! ;)

Amazing smells and food. Excellent Asian cuisine in our neighbourhood. Definitely a repeater. Lost one star because of the excessive use of plastic.

A great little eatery that serves Vietnamese cuisine. It's great for takeaway or dining in especially if you're visiting Precinct 75 which lacks food options. I ordered the grilled pork and egg with rice and it was filling and delicious.

We really wanted to like this place and were so looking forward to it. The service from the staff was impeccable and no complaints at all about that. Unfortunately, the food was only so-so for the money at $240 for the 4 of us. The lemongrass chicken was amazing and delicious however the steamed barramundi was overpowered with a very salty and rich taste with a mix condiments added in. Such a shame as the fish itself was very fresh. The lamb shanks were just lumps of fat and some meat leaving us with funny uncomfortable feeling in our stomachs. The bao sliders and lotus chips tasted pretty good but are expensive for what you get. The salt and pepper squid was very nice and tender but again small serving for what we paid. The service was outstanding with lovely staff but unfortunately we won't be back.

I came across this restaurant by just random search and I have to admit that the Bao buns they have are just delicious.

The salt and pepper calamari was overly salty and tasted like a salt shaker. When we expressed our thoughts on the dish the chef was rude and abrupt and told us it wasn't his problem. We were 15 mins late however we called ahead of time to inform and the chef expressed that our late arrival of 15min was disrespectful. Very disappointing and poor service. Will definitely not go back.

🫤 I went to Shalimar restaurant on the last Sunday during Ramzan with very high expectations with my family, 5 of us. We were disappointed. The restaurant is easy to get to from Masjid Bunder Railway station or even CST. But the area is generally crowded and noisy. Not too pleasant. Being Ramzan, th...
