Fantastic boutique restaurant on King St. Perfect for date nights or an intimate dinner. From the outside the service and atmosphere was very homely and welcoming, you just feel really comfortable. As if you were having dinner at a mates house. The food was to a great standard and good value for money. We ordered the Octopus and Goat cheese souffle to start (pictured) and the steak and duck confit for main. Everything was top class. Drink wise, It's both licensed and BYO. Wine list is reasonably priced and BYO is $5 a bottle which is a small price to ensure you have your favourite bottle of plonk on hand. They'll bring you a snazzy side table ice bucket for white and sparkling which we thought was a lovely touch. Will be back again for sure 😊

Dec 2020 Ordered the salmon pate, Duck confit, BBQ Lamb, Steak and the dessert platter. All of them were delicious. The service was impeccable. Definetly make reservations.

Had a great dinner (in good company) here the other night. It was so good I forgot to take my customary photos. The welcome was warm, it's a simple but tastefully decorated room. The food was well presented and tasted fabulous. The fish pie is certainly worth the visit. The entree of smoked trout pate had set me up nicely. There's a small but excellent wine list and they also do wines by the glass. The price was agreeable, to say the least.

Always a good feed at Linda's - just really well done, traditional style cooking. Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere and good service. Would recommend.

We are so happy we have found Linda's On King Street! We have been to this restaurant for years and we stop going since Covid19 when the restaurant moved further to King Street South we didn't know we thought Linda close the business. Fortunately, we found Linda again and we enjoyed our dinner like we always do. The restaurant looks very nice the service is good and the foods are very nice and tasty. 👍😊🍷

As a South Newtown local since 1995 I've been a big fan of Linda's on King and am thrilled they are now near Alice St so an even shorter walk to a great dining experience and an excellent vodka martini.

A gem in Newtown.Great food cooked by Linda. Husband Graeham is in charge of front of house and does a great job always giving us a warm welcome.Doesnt matter what you order it is all so good..Licienced and BYO. Good prices for up market food you cant find anywhere else in Newtown.

Have been going to Linda's from when it was in the Newtown Hotel ( I miss the cat). Has never disappointed. Now live in Melbourne and is always my " go to" when regularly visiting Sydney. Now a favourite of my Sydney friends.

I love the feel of this restaurant . you're always made to feel very welcome. It's lovely to have a restaurant on King St that consistently serves quality dishes in a slightly French style bistro atmosphere. Linda's has a wonderful menu that caters to all tastes. Extremely good value for the quality of food you receive. If you haven't already dined here, definitely give it a try. You'll be happy you did.

My favourite fine dining restaurant in Newtown. Food and service always excellent. Have eaten there many times and always go back for the warm ginger cake. Starters are very varied and sometimes have two instead of a main. The main dishes are a generous size. Love their dessert sharing plate. $5 corkage is reasonable, but wine not over the top expensive. Will go back time abs time again.

Been here with both family and friends and both times can't recommend high enough. First time had the lamb, second the beef cheeks. Both times everything was cooked perfectly. Had dessert both times and both were 😋 Everyone has loved everything, but the spinach ravioli seems to stand out above the rest! The wine selection is good, and the beer selection is pretty good too. Not many beers to choose from, but the ones selected are good, exactly what you expect in Newtown. Service is great, and it has a very relaxed, cozy atmosphere. It's an excellent dining experience, whilst also feeling like your local. Go in already and find out for yourself!

Had my birthday dinner here where we had a mostly private area for 16 people. Linda created a set menu for the event and it was amazing. The food was phenomenal and will absolutely be coming back.
