Stayed here for 1 night and it was great! Beds were comfy, didn’t hear any noise at night and overall had an excellent trip. It’s an ibis budget so it’s not the best thing you’ll come across but for the 90 dollars a night spent it was definitely worth it. Even saw some Ibis outside the ibis budget. Free parking was good.

This is the worst 3 star hotel I’ve been to. I have been to other three star hotels and this one doesn’t even deserve a star. Our sheets had blood all over it and this is definitely a place where escorts/sexual activities frequent due to the nature and bedding included. We were so disgusted. The bathroom/toilet was small closet space, and the sink was in our room which was absurd. We paid for breakfast but they had raw bacon, cheese and cold food that we had to cook ourselves but didn’t as it was so dirty. I feel disgusted after being here, never again!! DO NOT recommend.

For an ibis budget I can’t complain. The rooms were clean and tidy and I felt safe, the bed was comfortable and relaxing. Directly next to McDonald’s so convenient for a coffee or a late night snack. About a 5min drive to the train station. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. The only downfall is there is no lift/elevator but we had to carry our heavy bags up the stairs, lucky we are young and fit but for an older person not ideal.

Staircase smells of chicken noodles & bleach. Bed was very comfy and quite well constructed. No instant coffee, tea or drinking vessels, but there is a kettle, so it’s great if youre someone who likes sipping boiling water from their own cupped hands.

The room was a little budget room. It could definitely use more attention on cleaning. Basic, but really, all one needs to shower and rest. The staff were exceptional. Morning reception guy could be a travel guide. He was fantastic. Even called a taxi for us. Friendly and helpful. The room had a TV, we didn't use it. Towels, no face cloths. The only soap was a liquid soap in shower. Kettle and instant coffee and tea provided. Some rooms have optional basic breakfast included. Washroom looked like a ship shower and toilet. KFC and McDonald's right next door.

I regret that I cannot stay at this hotel again unless big improvements in basic cleanliness are made. The price charged is perhaps too low for a decent hotel but refurbishment is needed. In a stay of five days no room service occurred i.e. bins not emptied, beds not made, towels not changed, not even once. My room had stains on the ceiling, a noisy air conditioner and copious dust under the bed. It has not seen a coat of paint in many years. The hotel now charges for parking whereas once it was included (price gouging to offset the low prices). The lint filter in the drier is, predictably, full of lint. Did I mention the dirty stairwells? See photos for more.

As the very name suggests, the rooms are curated especially for professionals who are in Sydney for business visits. The rooms are equipped with all the basic requirements like towel, shampoo, coffee sachets, kettle etc. The staff were cooperative and helpful. The WiFi was also working well enough to get my job done. I would definitely recommend this hotel which is conveniently located

We arrived after 9pm and checked in. Our bed seemed clean and tidy but the floor had wet sticky stuff on it , the walls were mouldy!! The fan didn't work and it was boiling hot that night. The paint was peeling off the walls. It was below budget. I've stayed in a cleaner back packers lodge. My husband and I are short and our feet were hanging off the edge of the bed. We decided to book elsewhere and left at 11.30pm. What a terrible experience! Travel lodge at the airport was couple dollars more and it was clean modern and beautiful compared to this. Do we bother asking for a refund?

This is a really good budget hotel in Sydney close to the airport. It's a 15 minute walk to the funky Newtown area filled with food and drink places or you can easily catch a bus from across the road. Rooms are small but very clean and well equipped. I think this is a great budget option of staying in Sydney and would recommend it to other travellers.

Absolutely disgusting. Filthy place. Air-conditioning full of dirt and mould. Dirty walls, floor, fridge, light switches. Had to use antibacterial wipes to clean all surfaces. Shower is ridiculously small, as is toilet area. No soap for the handbasin that is in the bedroom 😫. No toilet brush, no shelf in the shower. On a positive. Clean sheets, towels and a comfortable bed. However never again.

The only redeeming qualities was the receptionist. He waited past closing because my flight was delayed and my Uber was having trouble getting there to pick me up. Guy was nice but upset. I understand why but at least tell me basic information like how to get to the room. No lift, no shampoo or conditioner. Air-con remote broken. At least it turned on but couldn't adjust it. And it looks very moldy. At least the bed is comfortable. Maybe 2 & 1/2 stars.

It’s fine if you’re looking for a place to stay last minute. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. There was not a proper duvet provided, just layers of sheets. The room was so cold and I kept waking up in the night due to either being really cold or the noise from rubbish removal at KFC right outside the building. Dirty, strange toilet situation and just overall not a great time.

Conveniently, it was close to the airport and a short walk to St Peter’s station. However, you really get what you pay for with this hotel. The rooms were alright - there were some weird marks on the sheets and some mould around the soap shelf in the shower. There was no bath mat so water went everywhere, there was also no hand towel or soap. Aircon was pretty noisy but worked okay. Weirdly the sink was next to the bed? The fact you could get fined $2000 for setting off the fire alarm instilled a bit of fear into me. Overall, I just needed a place to sleep for two nights - the bed was comfortable so I can’t complain too much. Another thing - they sent me a text about a late check-in despite the fact I checked in at 4pm. A key was left for me in the safe but it was for a different room. The key for the room I was given when I checked in didn’t work when I came back late, which made me panic, as all of my things were in the room. Had to call the emergency number twice and they sorted it out, but they weren’t really friendly about it nor were they apologetic. I don’t think I’ll be staying again.

Pros : Close enough to the airport, confortable bed, TV. Do not expect anything and you shouldn't be disappointed. Cons : the bathroom looks like a closet, nothing inside to hang the towel. The room could have been cleaner (walls, window) The bedsheets were clean but the doona cover didnt cover the whole blanket, quite uncomfortable to have your face touching a blanket that isn't washed regularly...

One star because ONE of the 3 people in reception was polite and nice (the little skinny girl). Late arrival, and they did send all the info to get to my room via text. 23:10 I opened the security box to get to my room card and it was EMPTY! no note, no key, NOTHING. I panicked, I was alone outside and I tried to contact the receptionist. Call after call and finally, at almost midnight and someone let me into my room 🙄 I didn't have a key card for most of my stay (like so many others) every time I came back to my room from having food, drinks, etc I had to look/wait for someone to go and open it!! And as I wasn't the only one with that problem, I had to look/wait for a while 🤨 Horrible customer service. I later when to ask for a safe place to leave my luggage after the check-out and I was told to leave it wherever! She didn't even make amends for the no-card key mess. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

I was disgusted to walk into our room and find our bed covered in blood. Receptionist made barely an apology, gave me another room, no upgrade, quite rude to speak to. Our next room had no bath mat and no hand towel. We paid to have breakfast there but decided not to due to being dust covered areas around reception desk and out of order kitchen appliances.

I am not a precious travel but only survived 5 hours. I had booked in for 3 nights last minute. Summary of main issues: -hygiene: mould in the bathroom, stains on walls, curtains. communal areas also appeared unclean -noise: planes overhead every 5-10 minutes -customer service: did not follow through with attending my room when I asked for assistance, twice. I have not heard back from them since emailing them notifying of my late night escape and request for follow up. Please heed the many reviews that discourage booking into this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the St Peters Ibis Budget, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The recent addition of air conditioning made a significant difference in the overall comfort of the stay. The rooms were not only clean but also kept at the perfect temperature throughout my visit. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, including a delicious breakfast spread and convenient parking facilities with this competitive rate. Additionally, the location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions and transportation options. Overall, my stay at IBIS budget St peters was nothing short of excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Don't bother requesting early check in or ground room floor (no lifts) as they just check in on first come first serve basis and then yell at you for telling them you put in a request. I understand those requests are not guarantees obviously, but there is no regard for them whatsoever. All that could be ignored if the general manager checking people in had any kind of customer service skills. He had no idea who was in line next, he complained about the previous guest he checked in and then was disgustingly aggressive towards me as I tried to ask him about an early check in after being ignored for 15minutes. I left this place in tears at being spoken to so awfully. Plenty of other cheap places to stay that offer much better services. So upset by the whole experience

Do not recommend even as a last resort, better off staying at a hostel. Liked: - Location is very close to the public transports. Disliked: - Part of the area near the window was mouldy. - Room is very small for the price of $800 for 2 nights, definitely not worth it. - Basic amenities is very poor, there was only 1 3-in-1 soap/shampoo/conditioner situation with no hand soap. - Sink was outside of the bathroom and water spray is very loud. - Very minimal sound proofing and room tidy up service is only available once every 3 days. This is the worst Ibis Budget Hotel I've ever stayed in and is honestly worse than some of the motor inns, motels and hostels I have stayed in. I cannot believe this place is considered as a 3-star hotel.

  • 2/5 Eileen P. 6 months ago on Google
The room is very small. Not clean sheets , and the doona desgusting and pillows. The shower mouldy. Blood on the sheets and wall. Suppose to clean our room every 3 days. Didn't happen. Tables to eat off at breakfast, not cleaned properly. If you're not fussy and like to live like that, go for it as it's cheap accommodation. Otherwise, save up for something better. We wish we 📸 the place, but I'm sure other reviews would say the same.

Ibis Budget St. Peter's is an excellent and budget-friendly option for a weekend stay. I've had the pleasure of staying here twice during my visits to Sydney for the Sydney Marathon. The hotel boasts a fantastic location, right in the midst of a KFC and McDonald's, making dining options easily accessible. What impressed me even more was the flexibility of the manager. Knowing that the Marathon finish time was later, they kindly permitted me to extend my checkout without any additional fees. This gesture added extra convenience to my stay, and I truly appreciate their accommodating approach.

The bathroom is very similar to a caravan or boat bathroom as it is so tiny. No bath mat, no hand towels and no hand soap. Some mould in the shower. Only one sink in the room which was next to the bed. Coffee and tea but no kettle. Very poor noise cancellation, every person, car and plane can be heard as if the window is open. The pillows feel and look like old rolled up blankets. Communal “breakfast area” near reception was filthy. I’m regards to staff, I accidentally left my phone in the taxi when dropped off at the hotel. The driver noticed and tried to return it but the staff told him they couldn’t tell him if we were there and didn’t bother to call my husband to let us know. Yes it’s a budget hotel but due to peak timing, a lot more was paid for the room, not a fair price. I have stayed in other budget hotels and none have been this terrible.

  • 1/5 Rudy C. 8 months ago on Google
Definitely not recommend. Rooms are dirty, you can hear your neighbours in the next room, staff does not care and it is just not worth the price you pay. Location is alright, but other than that not much positive to say about this place. Better find something else.

  • 3/5 Emma R. 6 months ago on Google
Stayed here for one night before heading to the airport, is definitely a motel that is what you pay is what you get.. room we were given was absolutely terrible could hear everything happening outside especially the vending machine, the bathroom was looked and gave off a prison cell vibe. Bed was average. May need to either work on sound proofing or making the rooms more slightly friendier.

My Wife and I were in search for a cheap hotel for one night before jetting off on our honeymoon tomorrow but we didn’t realise that cheap meant not being a clean environment! With the walls having mould growing on parts of the wall & ceiling and the worst of it being under the air conditioning unit. But unfortunately it didn’t stop there with being absolutely gross and disgusting with the room having cobwebs around the window, aircon and the fire alarm…. Then the worst thing was the pillows being covered in yellow stains that was the final straw! We extremely disappointed and upset with the condition of the room that someone thought it would be okay for someone to stay in. We are now out of pocket $109 for the room we didn’t even stay in and the cost of another room at a new hotel as the Ibis Budget St. Peters wouldn’t refund the money for the room as we booked through Qantas. We get it it’s a cheap room but no matter the price it should be clean, we have stayed at cleaner camping accommodations. Don’t believe me see the attached photos.

Good location with bus stops very close, several takeaway restaurants next door, medium walk to the train station and supermarket. Fair size room. Bar fridge, free wifi, kettle, TV, usual Ibis Budget compact toilet/shower, comfy beds, friendly staff and free car parking

  • 1/5 David L. 4 months ago on Google
Very Horrible. No lift. Poor services. Bad road potholes in front of entrance. Bad sandwich of premises (KFC one side & McDonald's other side), High risks of crimes at nights. Lack of security. No safety features in room. Hot stuff due to poor circulations of air in room. many more to say. But generally not recommended for elderly and middle persons & kids

Unfortunately I couldn't wait to leave!! The rooms are very small. The bathroom was less than adequate. The bathroom was a prefab kind of set up. Not only is there a big step to access it there were no grab on points. No rails at all. The floor was very very slippery even when dry. I will not be going there again!! I stayed 2 nights different room on both nights same problems. The air con could not be controlled by the remote and I went to reception both nights and they said it must be me because they haven't had a problem before. When I suggested that they come and look for themselves they said it was my problem

Didn’t have a room key for the first 24 hours of my stay and had to get the desk staff to let me in my room every time I left. At night it smelled of either raw sewage or McDonald’s. Incredibly poor shower design, the whole washroom area gets wet and is moldy. The whole place is in desperate need of renovations. I was so happy to check out.

  • 1/5 Anthony M. 1 year ago on Google
Checked in 3rd June (late check In) Arrived into a cold room so looked around for a remote for the heat pump.Nothing! The following morning (4June) I went to reception to remedy the problem, he looked less interested in helping, all he said was "there should be a remote in the room" I snapped backed and said " yes their should be but their isn't". That was around 9amish. That afternoon we arrive back around 5.15pm spoke to another receptionist. He tried various remotes on the heat pump, nothing worked. Switched it off and on a few times, still nothing! As of 9pm no nothing, no remote, another cold night in a cold room. I guess the word ' budget' in Ibis Budget says it all. I noted entering the establishment it was cosy warm in reception. Also the black mold in our shower made it less attractive 4.5/10 NEVER AGAIN AT THIS PLACE!

  • 2/5 Jason K. 1 year ago on Google
Ibis is cheap but the only thing I never understand is windows... no sound proofing at all. They are usually along busy roads. Even windows dont even close all the way, ritually no sound barrier. Tried a few different ibis they were the same. Is it something their intended design? Get ear plugs ready when you plan to stay there...

The place isn't bad at all. Things to keep in mind when going here. 1. There is not much storage room around so if you have a lot of stuff, get a larger room. 2. The staff is very friendly, when I went, they let me check-in late night after my flight. 3. It can get a little bit noisy at times. 4. They provide towels, and soap, but not toothpaste and toothbrush and stuff, so carry that with you. 5. McDonalds and KFC nearby. 6. The place is really far from the city, and the buses take forever to come. so plan accordingly

  • 3/5 jel 1 year ago on Google
the location was great (close to food, train station), but the key cards were hard to use, sometimes they would work others you had to swipe it a bunch to get into your room. my room was good (working air-con, lights) but my mother's room had a blown bulb in the bathroom (so no light whatsoever), the air-conditioning didn't work and her key was worse.

  • 2/5 Michelle M. 1 year ago on Google
Pro's: 1) The rooms are basic but adequate, the beds are REALLY comfortable and the showers are hot. 2) Reception staff are nice. 3) Parking available for additional $10 per day. 4) Food options of Macca's or KFC next door, plus servos close by. 5) has laundry facilities available 6) train station is close, its a slow 15 minute walk away, st peters is only a couple of stations away from Central. Cons: 1) Litter. So much litter around the hotel (partly KFC and maccas responsibility though), but still, yuk. 2) Room service only done every 3rd day, this means that people leave rubbish in the corridors making the place stink. 3) minimal lighting and security cameras outside. 4) no lift (just stairs) so not good for people with mobility issues 5) hotel also houses homeless people, lots of noise outside after reception closes and shady people hanging around. 6) Drug paraphernalia litter. 7) Dim lighting around hotel provides perfect opportunity for drug deals, and for snooping into people's parked cars. Overall: I chose to stay here based on price and availability of parking, as a single traveller I would be hesitant to stay here again. It's definitely over priced given my experience

  • 4/5 Michael J. 1 year ago on Google
The room is small but comfortable, bed was queen size and comfortable. There is tea, coffee, a kettle and small fridge in the room. Hanging space is a rack attached to the wall with coat hangers on it. The toilet and shower are positioned in a small pod. Functional. The hotel is located next to a 24/7 Maccas and a KFC closes at 10pm. Parking costs $20 overnight. I paid $129 free cancellation plus parking for the room on a Friday night as it was conveniently located near a function I was attending. Overall comfortable stay.

  • 3/5 Behnaz K. 1 year ago on Google
Liked: Great hot water in the shower. Friendly staff. KFC and McDonald are just a few steps away! Disliked: Considering the price ($139/night) I expected better facilities. There was no wardrobe/closet in the room. Also, as stated on the website, there is no lift. I wish there was a power outlet in the bathroom for using a hairdryer. The nearest Coles/Aldi/Woolworth are 20-min walk away.

  • 4/5 Helen T. 1 year ago on Google
I had a fortnight long stay. Had booked a room with king size bed and was allotted on the ground floor. I had a pleasant and safe stay, but cleanliness can be improved. KFC and McD flank the hotel. St.Peters station is a 10 minute walk. Sydenham station is a 15 to 20 minute walk. There was no storage cabinet in the room and this can be an issue for long stay. Laundry facility available. Washing powder can be purchased from the reception. Hot shower can trigger the fire alarm... And that can trigger a fine!

Stayed a night before a super early domestic flight as I thought it would be easier to get to the airport than driving all the way from Newcastle. Can't tell much about staying at this place if holidaying for days or weeks in Sydney but just for a night stay would be totally fine. The best thing is having a KFC right next to it. A bit affordable in comparison

  • 1/5 Jeffery R. 1 year ago on Google
Very small rooms that were left filthy. IT MAY BE A BUDGET MOTEL BUT THAT IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT CLEANING BETWEEN GUESTS. Management were receptive to our concerns, but fault also lies with them for allowing slack cleaning services

  • 4/5 Rainbow S. 7 months ago on Google
Tiny room with what I would consider an RV style moulded shower/toilet (no basin you have to leave the bathroom and wash your hands beside the bed). Clean ✅ Close to lots of fast food ✅ Close to airport ✅ Fairly quiet ✅ X Very noisy aircon

  • 3/5 Jasmin W. 10 months ago on Google
We stayed several months ago now, and just needed somewhere inexpensive to stay for our week in Sydney. We were really apprehensive after reading all the negative reviews here, but found that the room exceeded our expectations. The location was convenient with really good pubic transport links into the CBD, and a not too expensive uber ride to the airport. It was small but had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very dated and the sink was outside in the room, there also wasn't a place inside the bathroom to hang our towels. We were happy with the standards of cleaning, and I didn't notice any mould, but could see how this may be an issue as the shower didn't have good ventilation. I would recommend that if you have any mobility issues that you request a room on the ground floor as there are only stairs to the rooms upstairs. Staff were helpful with checking in and also helped us with our questions about local amenities.

  • 3/5 Abhi S. 11 months ago on Google
As the name suggests budget hotel. Did not expect much did get much. Room was clean enough with clean towel and amenities. Convenient location next to KFC and Mc Donald. Checking was very convenient and professional the manager was very welcoming and helpful. Had a issue with the lady when wanted to extend for another day . She was very rude and short to assist us for giving them more business.

Fraudulent Scammers - we cancelled our booking with Ibis Budget St Peters, but they still fraudulently deducted the payment for the room from my credit card! Disgusting and appalling - straight up theft from this hotel. Completely ignoring all emails sent to them to rectify the matter and refund my credit card. THIEVES AND SCAMMERS - AVOID THIS DODGY HOTEL LIKE IT'S THE PLAGUE.

We had mould in the room and bathroom. By the 4 th night, I was ill due to all the mould. The sink was full of water as it would not drain. The fridge was freezing and they couldn't change the temp. We have always stayed here but been away for 5 years. Would not recommend staying here.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT Please only stay here if you absolutely have no other choice and your life is cheap. Air con extremely dirty leaving zero desire to catch the multitude diseases of the previous guests. Could hear every mcdonalds order through the drive through at 2am in the morning Protected by several cab drivers and uber drivers playing Punjabi at 3am in the morning Cool breeze constantly coming through the air-conditioner which also allowed all the street noises in. Insufficient blankets to keep warm No proper bathroom with the toilet and shower together but the sink next to the bed... No fitted douna cover No bin next to the toilet The best thing about my time there was the courteous receptionist. For most people there is absolutely no reason to stay at this facility. Spend and extra $20 and stay safe.

In need for renovations asap. Was charged 120 to sleep in a room that looks like a jail cell... The render on the wall was falling off, the carpet looks like itts never been professionally cleaned. you charge your clients to park at your premises. First time last time.

Room was really simple, nice comfy bed, 2 towels and basic milk for tea and coffee, Ac and Tv. Good for single or couples to enjoy a simple stay. The bathroom is very small, small shower but hot water comes easy! Toilet is small and squishy but does the job. Also no lift so have to carry bags up the stairs. Overall, nice simple place next to a few restaurants

Well priced. Staff were adequate. They gave me a room that had been used, but they rectified the situation when I told them. This just shouldn’t happen and is a bit unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend unless you are on a tight budget
