This hotel is suitable only for short stays (maybe for a day or 2) when u want to do minimal cooking because the kitchen has only microwave and there are no proper utensils required for cooking. They did give us an electric stove and a small frying pan but when we asked for a bigger pan and cutting board they said they don’t have. We managed everything with a microwave and a small frying pan. I also noticed a small leak under the wash basin and told the receptionist but nothing was done. I gave four stars for location .Recommended only for short stays.

This hotel located next to the green square station in 3 mins walk, and the front desk can provide luggage storage service for free when u check in early or check out late, the room is tidy and clean which every day will have room cleaning service up to you. The first floor have a free self service coffee machine if you prefer a coffee on the morning. However, the shower head is fixed which cannot move so that I cannot wash my feet’s, etc. and the fridge cold room is too small to even a box of ice-cream. When you want to go other place, normally need transfer at central station, but green square station is at the airport line, so easy for the traveler to catch the plane.

We had great experience here. Our family stayed at 2 different apartments and they were all clean. Receptionists were also very polite and helpful.

As the name implies it’s a budget hotel - with the very basic things you’d normally need during a short visit around. The location is perfect, very close to Green Square (< 5 mins) which is a stop away from Central. The rooms vary depending on your budget - as expected - I stayed 4 weeks and during this time I tried almost all room types in multiple levels. I enjoyed the free coffee 24 hrs. There’s a very basic gym and laundry services. The staff is friendly and they were always ready to help and accommodate to almost any requests I had. Bathrooms are spacious and experienced no issues at all with any of them. The fridges are a bit old and a bit noisy at times so in a few occasions I just disconnected it. The light in the microwave clock would some times be annoying when sleeping. I stayed during winter and most nights I didn’t need the air con. In some rooms I could feel that the aircon filter needed some cleaning. Towels some times didn’t smell clean but they do daily room service. I recommend it if you’re looking for budget accomodation in Sydney.

Tiny room but had everything I needed. Everything was clean and tidy. Plus I got free breakfast pastries! Only a $15 uber from the airport.

This hotel it's convenient for few nights not for long-stay. Rooms are too small, the kitchen is only a microwave. Overall, service from the receptionist Sophia was excellent and so the cleaning team, but the manager has too much to learn, specially how to talk to customers and be able to resolve problems not just standing there and wait to let the problems go away by them selves. I honestly wouldn't recommend it for more than 1 night.

Easy location on the Circular Quay line from the airport, 2nd stop from the airport. Great friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of restaurant and cafes with fantastic coffee nearby with a particularly great Japanese restaurant, Miso. Rooms are a good size, modern and practical

We only stayed one night The room and facilities were very basic. But It certainly was value for the money we paid. The rooms were clean, everything that was mentioned was provided The coffee and breakfast snack was certainly useful. Very close to the train station.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Free coffee pods and small snacks. It's not luxurious but was perfect for my stop over, exactly as advertised.

Gteat place to stay before an early flight. No exorbitant airport surcharge at Green Square station if you want to venture into Sydney for a meal. One stop from Central and 2 stops to Domestic terminal ( 3 to International).

Great location but with very rare parking spots(35AUD per day). You have to park somewhere near and walked in asking if they have parking spot available first. They will give you a phone number after you pay for your parking pass, every time you need to park your car, you have to call them and wait for them to verify and open the parking gate for you. Be very careful of pedestrians and cars when you drive in and out from the parking lot. Service is good with great location, Sydney metro station is just 2 mins walk from it. Their room is clean and comfy.

Brilliant place to stay at, super clean, very close to the train station and shops. The breakfast is nice and the coffee is decent. Definitely the best budget hotel I’ve stayed at. My only complaint is that the powerpoints weren’t close to the bed, so I would probably bring an electric cord if I stayed again.

Clean comfortable and well equipped rooms, friendly staff, awesome location walking distance from the greensquare train station which is just one step from central AND the airport stations. Also free breakfast (coffee and simple pastries/bread). Really pleased with my experience and will be back.

The staff member at the receptions were extremely friendly, polite and hospitable. We asked for an electric stove, if available. They gave us stove with vessels. Coffee was available as complementary throughout the day. And they are really good coffee. Not some random ones. Room service staffs were very helpful. Laundry facility in venue. It is right next to supermarket and airport train station. things available: 1. microwave 2. kettle 3. cups 4. plates 5. cutleries 6. fridge 7. ironing box 8. ironing stand 9. stove, upon request 10. Chimney

My 3 day stay was absolutely fantastic, nothing went wrong. Rooms were clean and massive for the price paid. Staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful. Especially Mr. Vick who was consistently insisting on helping us with everything. Would come by again

Very clean and quiet atmosphere. We spent 4 night here and were happy with that. You can get free packing lot near from the holtel, take 5 minutes by walking on street with no litmit time, big advantage! But one minus point is the fitness centre is too small and lack of a few equipment and weight. Overall that is nice place for your stay.

Would definitely recommend VS Green Square for a Sydney stay. Close to public transport, friendly and helpful staff. The room had all the amenities like kettle, cutlery, iron and hair dryer. We booked both a twin studio and modern queen. The modern queen was smaller than the twin studio however the modern queen had a tiny balcony for fresh air. both rooms were clean and comfortable with aircon / heating. Suitable for family or solo travel. The friendly staff were available at any time for questions or to assist, and we appreciated being to keep our luggage at reception after our checkout time. A handy feature - there is a lounge area with snacks put out in the morning, and 24/7 access to a machine to make coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Also a filtered drinking refill station. There is also a small gym and laundry on-site but we didn’t need these services for our stay.

Clean and well appointed. Limited car parking but close to Green Square station, so it's convenient for getting to the city and the airport by train.

DISCLAIMER: This is a back-post as stayed at this hotel around mid-May 2022. Okay let's start with the good points of this hotel. First of all, the price of the rooms are very affordable (as their name Value Suites) especially if you're only looking for a place to sleep and leave your belongings. They do label themselves as a hotel but as far as the ammenities are, the only one they provide is the free use of their coffee machines (Nepsresso Pods) and some pastries and biscuits during the mornings. There's no swimming pool, gym, etc. you get it right? With the free brekkie biscuits/patries, it's 1 bowl so if you snoose, you loose. I did not see it get refilled when it got empty. The size of the rooms are not bad at all as well. Enough space for a double bed, TV mounted on the wall, table with 2 chairs, bar fridge, and a sink. What gave this place a high score for myself is the location. It is 5 minutes away from Green Square train station which is very convenient as this is the same line as the train that runs through the Domestic Airport and the Sydney CBD. Lastly, the service and attention of the staff are top-notch. Our hair dryer died and was giving off a burning smell and they replaced it immidietely. Now to the not so good parts of this place. What annoyed me the most is how the shower doors and the shower itself was built. Be prepared to get the entire bathroom floor wet if you're not careful enough to let the water get pass the bottom of the shower door. Made the mistake on the very first day that I took a shower and had to squeegee the floor with the bathroom floor towel. Also, the hot water of the shower is very inconsistent. I was not ready for the constant hot-cold-hot-cold-hot cycles of the hot water. Lastly, but just nit picking would be how thin the room doors are. You can literrally hear the people talking outside even though I was already in bed (so be prepared to be heard if you're doing extra-curricular activities). TLDR: PROS - free nespresso coffee, breakfast bikkies, spacious room, budget friendly, staff service, location CONS - inconsistent hot water, leaky shower, thin doors

All you could want in a budget hotel! Location excellent for airport train line and city circle, also a bus stop with frequent buses to Glebe and walking distance to The Grounds and all great Alexandria/Zetland cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and modern, better than expected. Small thing but they weren't stingy on the body wash/shampoos either 😆 (which most hotels are). I stayed here with a baby, knowing I could get everywhere by transport or by foot. Definitely value for Sydney, would stay again 😊

Amazing location 2 stops from the airport and 1-2 away from the heart of Sydney. Helpful and friendly staff that explained amenities well and offered help when a man was being disruptive at midnight. The only problem is sleep - low quality mattresses are sort of expected for a budget hotel, but the pillows are well overdue - I ended up using my folded snowjacket as a pillow instead.

The room is clean and enough to use. It has fridge, hair dryer, towel, shampoo and some simple cookwares such as spoons. 1st floor has 24 coffee, tea service for FREE and it also provides snacks and apples from 6:30-10. Suggest the bed to have have the wheel locking system. It's too slippery. In addition, not so satisfy with the bed cleaning after returning to the hotel today. Though I will stay here for another couple days, the bed cleaning is too simple.

Excellent location, close to the airport and one stop to Central station. Keep in mind if you head out late, the trains on this line don't operate (after about 11:30pm) and you will need to take a bus/ride share. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Coffee and snacks were a nice little inclusion, make sure to head to the top floor and check out the lounge for some nice views. Don't bother paying extra for a balcony, unless you are a smoker (we aren't). It was a waste of money to upgrade, as the balcony is only about 50cm wide, no space for table/chairs, plus the view was of a carpark. Staff we directly spoke to were friendly and helpful, however the night staff don't acknowledge you as you enter/exit. Only one chair in the room at the small table and no others available in the hotel, meaning my partner had to eat dinner on the floor. Overall good value for a budget hotel.
