Amazing service! We had to book a motel until we found an apartment. Considering the price of Veriu per night, we couldn't have asked for a better accommodation. The rooms were clean and cleaners provided us with everything we needed. The facilities included a laundry room which was much more cheaper to use than a self-laundromat nearby. Gym was adequate but very usable. Staff was super friendly and made our stay enjoyable. The restaurant was nice and the food very good. Hotel also had two bicycles that were usable free of charge. The location was splendid with Green Square shops, restaurants and subway station right next door. Definitely recommended!

Very clean and spacious. Well equipped for family needs, big fridge, cooker and microwave. Nice and kind receptionist, when asked to change the room they provided different available option. Agree parking a bit expensive but as most of other hotels, spots are limited but my experience with other hotels min $24 and not for multiple entries!!!!

We stayed 4 days 3 nights recently and were disappointed with the experience. The bathroom was unclean, there's some mold or black coloured in the bottom of the shower glass we stayed in. We requested a room change. However, the new room was the same. The two elevators weren't connected for some reasons. Cutleries inside the room, as well as the kettle, weren't clean. Requested a room tidy. However, they didn't change the towel and didn't clean anything. We weren't made aware that they only clean once every two days as well. There was no water bottle in the room, and the conditioner and shower gel were empty in the bathroom. They also put non-removable lamp beside the bed, which you can easily bump your head on. If I can request a refund for my experience, that would be appreciated.

Booked a car parking spot and had it confirmed, but when we arrived we were told there was no booking. After a back and forth conversation over the phone they finally found it. Quoted $35 over the phone for parking, checking in, the receptionist told us $35, then corrected herself to $45. When we showed the messages of the $35 quote we instantly got attitude from her. The couch was dirty, makeup and crumbs on it. Cups had obviously not been washed as there were lipstick marks on them. Shower pressure non existent. Had to ask for bathroom supplies (soap etc) although it was stated they were supplied. When checking out we expressed our disappointment in everything, especially the cleanliness, with an excuse of ‘sorry were understaffed). Looking through reviews now, it seems the service and cleanliness has been an ongoing issue with obviously no change. Definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I was happy that they allowed me to check in much earlier than 2pm and I appreciated that. While the room and bathroom was aesthetically modern and great looking and reasonably clean, bed was comfortable, there were so many problems. The bathroom smelt putrid, like cabbage and blocked drains, I complained to the reception twice, nothing was done. They hadn't provided any tea and apparently had run out. On the second day, they came into my room and removed my takeaway rubbish, but they didn't replenish the milk, they didn't remove and replace any of the dirty crockery and cutlery that was clearly left out and needed to be replaced. I went downstairs to reception (because no one answers the phone), asked for milk to be sent to my room, hours passed and no one came. Had to go downstairs again and finally someone left milk in my room, while I was out. The reception staff seem otherwise distracted and not really bothered, not what you expect from usual friendly hotel staff. I was told that the cleaning company aren't in-house cleaners and they often get complaints and they are trying to fix it. It's not the customers problem that they are experiencing ongoing issues, clearly something more needs to be done because customers are paying a fair amount of money whilst not getting basic services they are paying for.

Dog friendly hotel with a reasonable additional cleaning fee for the duration of the stay (unlike some other hotels that's charge per day for pet). Made my girl feel at home with a dog bed, treats and food/water bowls. The dog bed was way too small but we appreciated the gesture to welcome her. Gave us an accessible room which was larger than many in Sydney and very conveniently located for easy exit to bring my dog to the toilet outside the hotel. Room TV also had chromecast which was easy to connect to. Great location with train station next door and several good eateries in the area, including some dog friendly restaurants and cafes.

Great hotel for a couple of new parents. Perfect location, 2 min walk from Green Square station. Staff were great - one lovely lady at the desk in particular who replaced our broken cot. Rooms are well stocked with really comfy beds and great bathrooms!

The room I got was spacious and an upgrade from what I had booked - the lady at the reception during the checkin period was quite nice. The one from the previous night during booking could’ve been nicer though. They provide you with your own personal coffee machine and teas; good size toiletries, and everything else you’ll need while you’re away from home. The room although it seemed clean, it was too dusty (I felt immediately I went in the room and could see the dust on top of lamps, tables), so that’s something that definitely needs improving. One major downside for me is that you could hear the steps from other levels/room - if you are sensible to noises it’ll be a big issue - this is the main reason why i didn’t go back and prefer the other hotel in the area, where I’ve spent over 4 weeks already. I’d give it another try but if I stayed at a different level.

Update at 06 July 2023 Still waiting for the reply from the hotel and the agent about the refund. The hotel team said that they would like to provide a one night refund due to the Wi-Fi problem. While they need to wait the agent’s reply to further progress the refund. Still didn’t receive the refund yet. Update at 14/06/2023 There is no response from the hotel about all of these problem. The female staff at reception on 12/06/2023 night was extremely unprofessional. She didn’t even try to solve the problem, and keep saying that she was the only staff at the hotel at night, and cannot do anything to help us. After 15mins discussion, finally that female staff said she will contact the night team to solve the WiFi problem at 11:00pm. While there is no response from the staff at 11:00pm. I feel said about the owner of this hotel and I will ask for a refund for the fee. Because these kind of services do not worth people to pay 130 dollars per night. Original review 12/06/2023: We booked the room here for two days. The Wi-Fi barely worked. After talking with the staff few times, the solution they give us was ‘Try to solve the problem after we check out’. The staff at the reception today had was very aggressive, it felt like we shouldn’t bother her if we have some problem in the hotel’s room. It is not the customer’s problem that we need to stand the ‘no internet no Wi-Fi’ problem. At least the staff should try to solve the problem because we have paid a fair amount of money while not getting basic services. The air conditioner in the room does not work very well… as well as the dust problem in the room. If you expect friendly and instant response service from the hotel, please definitely do not come to this hotel, I swear to the god. If you expect a good internet or Wi-Fi in a hotel room, please don’t come to this hotel. I felt extremely frustrating:( To be honest, I did not expect too much… just wanna use Wi-Fi in the hotel room, or at least get some help when we have problem. The staff at the reception tonight makes me feel like this hotel did not care about customers’s feeling.

Stayed at this this hotel more than 10 times with no issues till today. My perfume was taken out of my room on the last day with no follow up from reception. Put all your things in the safe. Never staying there again

24/7 check-in was a life-saver. Room modern, clean and the bathroom likewise. Very quiet once the door is closed. Booked on very short notice and was very impressed. Location very good, being on the T8 line, one stop from Central and only a few more from the airport. Do keep an eye on the time however as most local shops close early even on a Friday night, leaving only one 24/7 servo night window about a 5 min walk away.

Had a very pleasant stay at Veriu. Room was cleaned everyday. Service was great. Would definitely come back. The only thing I might recommend is to have a bottle of water in the fridge. Overall excellent experience!

Stayed here for work and was happy with the room that I had. It was clean and inviting and I just had to walk across the road to get to my location. Downstairs in the foyer area you had a little sitting area with nice comfy chairs, then another area had a big table with chairs to sit around. A packaged food and beverage area was also in this area if you needed a drink or snack (no fresh coffee though). During open hours you could access the restaurant that is linked to the hotel. Only down side I had for my stay. While sitting in the foyer area one night the staff were arguing on shift change and bagging out another staff member for doing things that they were not capable of doing. That wasn't professional at all and made me wonder what they say openly about guests. Hopefully, the next trip they will be a bit more careful.

I checked into the Veriu green square for a three week stay. On my check in I informed them I did not want my room cleaned due to having a pet that would be staying in my room. They agreed to this and documented that no one would enter my room. A week after I started staying I went out and took my dog with me. Whilst I was gone the staff entered my room. I have had expensive audio equipment stolen and when I reported this the management has refused my requests to speak to the hotel general manager.

Super friendly staff and clean room. Super quick walk (3 minutes) from the Green Square station. A great place for a base camp to explore Sydney.

Stayed here for 6 nights with my husband and 2 kiddies (3 and 1). Modern, clean stay close to city and beaches. Cafe/restaurant, gym, snack bar area and laundry room all on site. Although room didnt have a bath the pull down seat in the shower made it easy for shower time with kiddies. Reception were so friendly and accommodating during our stay and someone is always on reception. Parking is a bit pricey on-site but free, street parking is available 500m down the road. Definitely recommend staying here 👌

Lovely women on the desk, walk to the train, supermarket, library, fast food, and buses. Big bottles of soap, shampoo, and conditioner. 10 mins to the airport. Clean and new feeling hotel.

We book through airbnb, worth the price. The location is great which is, within 2mins walk from Green Square train station, just 1 stop to the Central. The room is bigger than I think. The “receptionist car” is so attractive 🤣

Extremely good location and very nice room as it has an oven, a dishwasher, a microwave and a fridge which is great! However the only thing that they can improve on is housekeeping. It requires follow up and happens every 2 days (I’m new here so maybe this is standard. Where I’m from, it happens on a daily basis). Otherwise, everything was great. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful as well :)

Really friendly staff, the room was clean and well stocked. The shower is hot and has amazing pressure. Rings are on the small size but very nicely decorated. Good little bistro downstairs. Very convenient location just down from Green square station.

My flight yesterday was cancelled. Looked for a place close to the airport and found this. Despite beeing cheaper than others, I found my stay very rewarding. The staff was warm and welcoming in their innovative van-style reception. The room was surprisingly stylish and high-end. Loved the espresso machine and tablets. Definitely a place I'll be happy to come back to. Thank you!

Highly recommended venue! It’s so close to everything walking distance to green square train station just 1 stop from Central.Fantastic location!! The venue is so beautiful and clean, it’s got a modern look and feel to it also the service is next level lovely staff. The entrance is unique you’ll understand once you see the reception layout, live the creativity. 10/10 must stay location!

This place is in such a good location. Only one or two minutes to Green Square Station. From there, Sydney Airport is just one stop (domestic) and two stops (international). Train runs regularly to Airport and Central from this station. The staff are also very good - polite and welcoming. Recommend this place if you are in Sydney.

My work stay at Veriu for 6 months was really good and comfortable. The manager at the reception (I think his name is Liam) is really nice and greets you everyday with a cheerful face. Also other staff at the reception are extremely courteous. They attended to all my needs promptly and happily during my entire stay. My special thanks to housekeeping and maintenance support staff Farwizah, Laura, Christina, Shirish and a girl from Fiji (can’t recall name) who made my little room feel like home - clean, hygienic and tidy. Cheers!

This was a great place to stay close to my family. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and the staff were very friendly. The cafe downstairs was lovely for breakfast after my walk too. The funky vehicle acting as a reception area is also very cool! I will definitely be back!

If your are traveling with a family, try to find Ingram as you host. She is amazing with kids...in general the staff is nice and the hotel is well located. The cleaning service is also good and the lounge is nice.

Located close to Green Square train station. Staying for one night due to work and found the room to have great amenities such as a dishwasher and coffee machine. Rooms are nicely designed and the vibe was modern and clean. Will be staying again.

Location was great! super close to the metro and easily accessible from the hotel as well. Some downsides about the room was that the window area was super dusty, and hence we didn't open the curtains. The bed was okay, however did notice some stains on them which was pretty unpleasant. Other than that, everything else was good, the shower was spacious with all the shampoos and stuff provided. Overall was okay, hopefully they take extra notice about the cleanliness of the room in the future!

Great little hotel. Parking tight and limited. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Quirky little place with restaurant but not sure if it is operating due to covid. Room simply brilliant. I was in a queen with a single. Well appointed and big. Comfortable, EXTREMELY quiet and great block out blinds. TV had Chromecast but I couldnt get it to work (didn't try that hard). Bed MAGNIFICENT as was the heating / cooling. Great little coffee machine with free pods as well. Will stay again and have already booked!

Really lovely room, had a super handy little kitchenette. Bed was amazing, nice spacey shower. Super clean on arrival and very friendly staff and environment. Only downside was there wasn’t much parking and for what parking there was, it was super expensive. Also would have liked to have an iron in the room. Apart from that it was exceptional! Will definitely be back again.

Just checked in yesterday. Thought I should post my experience so far. Do note that house-keeping is not carried out daily, but alternate days and meanwhile, you are expected to take the garbage downstairs yourself. Please note that the kitchenette is only provided for quad and micro apartments - the other 2 Comfy categories does not come with kitchenettes. Location is very convenient as it is only a short walk to the train station.

  • 5/5 Raj V. 1 year ago on Google
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff. That’s all I needed and this hotel delivered. Parking is slightly an issue if you’re driving but there are side streets you can park. Unfortunately only 1hr or 2hr parking so you will have to move the car. Overall great stay closer to nice restaurants, train stations. Will definitely recommend this place.

Such a gem hidden in a Alexandria - literally a 2 minute walk to Green Square Station ! Location is amazing, the vibes are great, and 24 hour reception? 💯 Very art-deco/lush green vibes all over, strong hot shower, amazing air conditioning, and what a unique reception area 😍 I was served by Jane, who is so lovely and friendly - she went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome. Simone checked us out and even as we said goodbye, it felt more like a “see you later” because we will definitely come back here. 🥳

Fantastic Service. Very helpful/professional staff who go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. Sam was my go to and was always happy to help and no request was a hassle. I was here long term during covid and the room was really nice and modern, had a comfortable bed, great modern fit-out and a little kitchenette.

Excellent services, the team went above and beyond to satisfy my needs, and genuinely listened to and appreciated my feedbacks. Room is spacious, love the shower room design and layout, the suite of cooking facilities were great. Parking is a bit tight, street parking is the alternative at night about 5 min walk. Recommended

My partner and I stayed here over a weekend in one of the studios. The rooms are very nice, however, there were only two towels and the bedding was a little scarce (very thin blankets). There was also a stove but no cookware/ utensils… We could also hear doors closing and noise in the hallway. The water pressure is amazing and the location is good- near some stores and the train station.

  • 5/5 Chad K. 1 year ago on Google
Such a great hotel! Handy location with a 2 minute walk from cool restaurants and cafes and train station. Service was amazing with staff super friendly. Hard to find a hotel where the staff feels like a family away from home. Plus with world pride on the vibe was great with everyone super welcoming. Rooms clean and loaded with anything you might need. Will definitly come back on our next trip to syd!

Stayed in comfy queen and single room. The room is clean, but a bit too small for 3 of us. Water pressure in the shower was also very weak. Location is not bad, bit far from good restaurants. Parking space also limited.

Very reasonable priced motel, close to the city and public transport. Modern, tasteful deco... and I loved the bathroom! Kitchenette excellent with coffee machine and dishwasher. Very quiet rooms that block out all noise and light, so you could sleep til noon if you wished. Nice little cafe down stairs.

I can’t wait for my next trip to Australia, because I’ll be staying in a Veriu property (Melbourne next time). The tall ceilings, excellent lighting, good bathroom, comfortable bed, fantastic Wi-Fi, good air-conditioner, and nice kitchenette made it such a pleasure to stay in. As an American, all of the stuff I’m used to having back home was here and in great condition. This location is located one stop from the central station and as a result it was extremely quiet but still quite convenient. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the good eating options within 10 minutes walk made it easy. A point of clarification that the staff could know - the front desk staff advertised “lite” house cleaning during the stay. Said differently - towels on the ground would be replaced, as would coffees and teas. No other cleaning was to take place. When the staff did come in, sometimes the ground towels were replaced, sometimes not. Sometimes the coffees were replaced. Sometimes not. No big deal at all. Looking forward to the next stay. It really was a big part about what made my vacation so pleasant!

The rooms are self contained, boutique style, upmarket. The bedding and bathroom super clean. The staff so friendly particularly Heidi who made me feel welcome. Any questions I had she was happy to help and went out if her way to make me feel at home. Thank you Heidi and Guest relation staff. ***** 5 STARS from me.

Good to have someone help us check in all the time and they are friendly, Our room and bathroom are clean and also within a tiny kitchen which is convenient. But the Room cleaning service during the stay is imprecise. They place clean towels randomly in the bathroom and didn't complete the supplies. But still have a good experience and I am willing to come back if I come to this area again.

  • 3/5 Haley L. 11 months ago on Google
I thought I would try this hotel as it was close to the airport, however I wouldn’t stay here again. The quilt on the bed was stained, definitely needs cleaning/replacing. Parking is $50 a night for literally a lane way/ out the back parking not what I would say ‘secure’ for $50. The only good thing I have to say is the guy in the cafe was lovely and makes good coffee.

  • 5/5 Anthony H. 1 year ago on Google
Had a good stay. Good rooms and modern, with bedside charging facilities and a smart TV. Loved the rotating TV and option to watch in bed or on the sofa. The gym was small, but had a lot of stuff. Only request would be a wider range of dumbbells.

  • 5/5 Daniel N. 1 year ago on Google
First of all I'll start with a disclaimer that I the room was paid for by my employer for work purposes. The location of the Veriu is perfect for working in the local area. The rooms are well appointed with everything you need to relax and unwind at the end of the day. There are a huge variety of places to eat nearby, a Woolworths Metro that is a 5 minute walk away and Green Square Railway Station is only a 3 minute walk. There is a 24 hour concierge which was extremely helpful for me as I arrive and depart each day during my stay at very odd hours and was nice to get greeted back rather than a locked up reception area. The staff provided complimentary washing powder so I could catch up on some laundry in their laundromat and looked after all my things when checking out at 5:30am and picking them up later in the afternoon. Look forward to staying there again.
