Neutral Bay Beach or Hayes Street Beach as it is also known is the only beach in the suburb of Neutral Bay on the Lower North Shore in Sydney. It can be accessed from Hayes Street via a small laneway near the news-agency. The beach itself is 50m long at low tide with a width of 10m , cute little beach

Nice little beach hidden from sight, there are a few things to be careful of like oysters and asbestus, on the far left side of the beach there used to be a little pile of asbestus, not sure if its gone now. however other than these few things its a great place to have a swim and hang out with friends.

I’ve come here a number of times over the years but I have to say each time the charm of Hayes St Beach lessens. The water is dirtier each time, the sand damp and not very clean. There’s little bits of rubbish that gets washed ashore - scrap bits of plastic and broken takeaway containers, bottle lids, pieces of wood, sticks, etc. I used to think it was so cute and charming and loved going for a dip but now I would rather drive an extra ten minutes to have peace of mind in the water and the sand! Locals love to bring their dogs here but it makes it feel more like a dog beach. I had to tell a lady who was about to leave with a golden retriever that her dog had done a huge poo right in the middle of the sand and the tide was starting to come in. She went right away to clean it but it was quite unpleasant.

The view is wonderful, but the water may be polluted by sewage overflow. It is advised not to swim in this area. This place is only good for relaxing on the beach, doing nothing, or playing sand. However, if you can't really dip yourself in the water, you can hardly call this place a beach in my opinion.

Limited parking. The water is dirty and full of weeds. The beach is actually tiny and for that reason most the sand is wet. The area is beautiful though. With lots of boats and a nice wharf

Stunning on a sunny day. Dog friendly with a public shower if required after a dip or a cool down. Such a cute hidden gem (entrance a hole in the wall stairwell just beforeNeutral Bay Wharf

Its a very small beach. Not the cleanest but certainly swimmable Not exactly the place you go to for a beach day out. Ideal if you want to be close to Neutral bay and for a brief time

Lovely secluded beach. It’s only a small strip of sand but very quiet, good views, clear water. There’s a nice cafe next to the ferry which is only a short walk from the beach.

4.3 - Loved this small beach as it felt like a secret spot but of course, during the holidays, it was busy. It's safe to come on your own, and watch the doggies run around and have a swim as well. The shallower areas have this gritty stuff on the bottom and seaweed so it's not very pleasant to bob around in but I think you need to swim further out to have less murky water. There's a tap to rinse sand off but no toilets or other showers to change as far as I know.

(Translated by Google) The sea has less waves when the water is suitable for the baby to bathe, but when the water comes down the waves bring the leaves of the trees to the shore. Didn't enjoy it as I was too busy collecting glass so my kids didn't get cut.
