I’ve
come
here
a
number
of
times
over
the
years
but
I
have
to
say
each
time
the
charm
of
Hayes
St
Beach
lessens.
The
water
is
dirtier
each
time,
the
sand
damp
and
not
very
clean.
There’s
little
bits
of
rubbish
that
gets
washed
ashore
-
scrap
bits
of
plastic
and
broken
takeaway
containers,
bottle
lids,
pieces
of
wood,
sticks,
etc.
I
used
to
think
it
was
so
cute
and
charming
and
loved
going
for
a
dip
but
now
I
would
rather
drive
an
extra
ten
minutes
to
have
peace
of
mind
in
the
water
and
the
sand!
Locals
love
to
bring
their
dogs
here
but
it
makes
it
feel
more
like
a
dog
beach.
I
had
to
tell
a
lady
who
was
about
to
leave
with
a
golden
retriever
that
her
dog
had
done
a
huge
poo
right
in
the
middle
of
the
sand
and
the
tide
was
starting
to
come
in.
She
went
right
away
to
clean
it
but
it
was
quite
unpleasant.
