Awesome new Woolies Metro store now open in the new part of the centre with the new Aldi. It's there for when the centre proper is demolished in a year or so. Really cool little top up shop with a friendly team. Super quick to get on and out of too with 99 car parks directly underneath and escalators to get you to the shops. All very COVIDsafe.

Love the old school feel of this place, great little deli’s. Especially the Russian one, pick up some Latvian treats. It would be a shame if these places are lost to new developments.

Eastlakes Shopping Centre is like stepping back in time 30 years. Its feels so odd and out of place with built-up Rosebery and Zetland around the corner. I give it four stars simply because I enjoy going back in time and for once not seeing a bunch of the same franchised shops and restaurants you get every shopping centre.

Parking spots to tight high chance of your door being chipped from opening doors. Not much choice of shops. The one big plus is all food groceries (especially very affordable fruit and vegetables shop) are very cheap. There is a new shopping centre being built across the road opening in Q1 2021 but the existing shop owners are saying they are told rent will double and triple, so enjoy cheap grocery prices as long as they last...

Was here in May 2018. Totally retro and fun to explore. Go before some developer turns it into another glossy soulless space filled with chains and franchises, and all the Greek old men move off elsewhere for their endless chats. Anchored by Woolworths and Aldi, and ably supported by a multicultural cast of independent businesses - a few excellent fruit and veg stores (Eastlakes Fruit and Veg is a personal fav), Greek, Middle Eastern, Russian, Indian and Chinese grocery stores, walk-in butcher and fish monger, a couple of bakeries, cafe, Chinese restaurant, and assorted non-chain outlets.

The whole shopping centre is in desperate need of repair. Most of the shops were closed and it looks like the whole centre is about to be demolished. It’s in a really sorry state. But if you like dead or really old malls, then maybe check this out.

You can find fresh fruits and vegetables here. The prices are reasonable. You can find Persian, Turkish and Russian food and groceries in its supermarkets. the Turkish restaurant has very tasty bread like Persian Barbari bread. Unfortunately, the shopping centre doesn’t smell good.

The remaining shops and their owners and staff are lovely, and an important part of the local community. However the state of disrepair and neglect has gotten much worse over the past few months. Dirty floors, pigeons flying through, rubbish and packing crates dumped in the middle of the centre and not removed for days on end... the list goes on. The kids' playground in particular is disgusting, with sand, dust, rubbish, discarded food scraps and bird droppings and feathers. Looks like it hasn't been properly cleaned in months. The centre website has been taken down, and the management office and phone number are never manned when I try, nor do the call back. A real shame, but I guess it's just another example of corporate greed doing it's thing.

Has some good shops, Budget Beaters, Woolworths, Donut King etc... But the centre cleaners should be sacked and replaced. They clearly are not doing their job. The floor needs a good buffing throughout for a start.

It is well known for people who have lived for years in eastern suburbs.. Lots of products from middle east and Arabic area... Halal butchery.. Halal meat.. I recommend new Arab visitors to go there if they are interested in the same products that they use in their countries.. I also recommend it to everyone foreign and Aussie people who are willing to try things from Arab culture!!

This centre hasn't changed since 1986, overdue for much needed renovations. Restrooms haven't been attended to for about 10 years, car park is a shambles, the old woolies has only recently cleaned up its aisles, restocked continously, 2 delis are it's only saving grace. Looking forward to Eastlakes entering the future with its new development!

The shopping centre is a bit rundown but it still has a lot of retail outlets which is good for grocery shopping including butchers, Aldi, Woolworths, ethnic groceries. My kids enjoyed the playland while my wife was shopping.

First of all, the public toilet is really disturbing and disgusting as is never been look after nor renovated for decades. Second, the parking spot is so small so be ready if you scratch your car when you try to park here. This place obviously need an upgrade or at least a renovation as it's too old. Lastly, I gave two stars as it's convenient for the locals as it pretty much it has everything for daily needs.

Parking is easy. No crowds to fight through. Centre is aging what was once new is old and the colour long faded. You could nearly say histrionic. They is a lovely mixed cultural feel here. They are getting more trendy cafes but you can't sit outside as people are s smoking everywhere. Going to Aldi was the most colorful part of our trip and I don't like Aldi). There is also a Woolworths. My kids said it reminded them of shopping malls they have been to in India and Indonesia.

Great little shopping centre that has most of what you need for day to day life. For mobility impaired people, I suggest you go in a car and not try to use public transport as it is a bit of a hike.

What a disgrace! Apart from it being run down with very little now to offer, the cleanliness and state of the car park and amenities are inexcusable. The dumping of items throughout is a disgrace. Try to call Centre Management is a challenge. No one in the office/office closed. Bring in the health department.

Ruined by Crown was a great shopping centre for 50+years & great small businesses but smashed by greedy developers and ruined by nsw state planning during LNP term it's a disgrace & a shame for the people of the area

Shop is filthy with no air-conditioning and children's playgrounds never get cleaned, I have heard that the shopping centre is not being build because Woolworths still have another 2 years of lease. This shopping centre either needs to be fixed or needs to go! I'm sure Woolworths have plenty of money in the bank to find another location for the meantime. Stop delaying the development of the area over your profits... move out !

I would definitely recommend Eastlakes shopping Village. It's got everything you need like a dentist, medical centre and pharmacy and besides Woolworths and ALDI supermarkets there isb plenty of smaller family owned shops. This shopping centre is definately a One stop Shop.

  • 5/5 Melinda S. 3 years ago on Google
Very complete and convenient. The woolworths is relatively more complete and supported by ethnic markets. There are halal butchery, south asian grocer, east (and south east) asian grocers, aldi, greek grocer, ME and european grocers, and many more.

My dog was attacked by and of lead dog in the park at the shops (eastlakes reserve) I tried to protect my dog from the people so they proceeded to punch and kick me and call me names I won’t mention here. My dog has been attacked by 4 dogs in 2 years in eastlakes alone because my dog is on a lead and there dog is not. LEASH LAWS IN PLACE IN EASTLAKES!!!!! Someone needs to enforce this. My dog is now blind In one eye and nothing is done!!! My dog actually gets the blame because he is and American staffy. By appearance not by the law. That is discrimination and someone will get hurt.

The floors look dirty. The walls ARE dirty. And the whole place smells like a house full of dirty unwashed people. Not a place I'd visit on a regular basis. Signs stuck on walls haphazardly, and half ripped off - looks like they've been there like that for years.

What can I say... what an experience. Take a step back in time and into what I can only assume is some sort of 'wet-market' themed mall much like one found somewhere north of the South China Sea. Come to Eastlakes Shopping centre for only the finest second hand shoes, shops with missing letters in their signs and a woolworths that holds the record for the most cigarette sales three years running. The woolworths within is so great that even their delivery drivers won't leave, and insist you make the journey down to experience Eastlakes Shopping centre first hand. So come on in and see for yourself why this mall is South Sydney's best kept secret.

If I could remove the 1 star I gave to this place, I would. The floors were absolutely disgusting, spread with black gunk and food scraps. The whole mall reeked of the smell of rotten fruits as there was no refrigeration. Not to mention, the play area for kids was literally a parent’s worst nightmare. It was extremely dirty with bird feathers and waste, gunk and vomit stains. Don’t even get me started about the washrooms! The toilet bowls were filled with waste, locks didn’t work, walls having thrown tissue, a nightmare. The only decent shop was woolsworth which was somewhat clean. All the other shops were unkempt and covered in dust. Major repair and cleaning is needed. would not recommend anyone going here.
