I am extremely disappointed by the product quality and the customer service. The gold plated earrings turned black before I even had a chance to wear it, and customer service said there was nothing they can do because they do not stock the product anymore. This brand has zero integrity which is really disappointing. I do not recommend purchasing from them

Worst quality jewellery ever, and soo overpriced! I've bought all my jewellery from here because they're beautiful but literally all my rings have bent, my "gold" earrings have all discoloured, gems have fallen out and necklaces and bracelets have broken! I have had to chuck almost everything out! No way I would ever buy anything from here again.

I ordered these earrings for my daughters birthday and was shocked to see how bad they were when I went to wrap them :( They are not made in Australia and they feel like cheap tarnished jewellery, not at all what I expected. I've since seen a lot of reviews about by Charlotte jewellery tarnishing or turning black fairly quickly. I have not experienced this before - except when I was a teen and bought cheap stuff - but you expect it then! I do love the designs, but will not waste my money again :(

I spoke to head office about a 14k bracelet that I wore 5 times and was only just outside of the warranty period. They wanted me to pay 1/4 of the price of the bracelet to get it fixed, which I did not agreed to given the poor craftsmanship of this jewellery and my lack of faith in it not breaking again. FYI to others here, if you get your piece's fixed they are only covered if they break in the EXACT same spot.. Not sure why they pitch themselves as high quality jewellers, I would not shop here nor recommend them to anyone based on how they deal with their poor quality goods they sell. Very disappointing. Hope all you ladies and gents that enjoy high quality, long lasting time pieces look elsewhere :)

Beautifully designed jewellery, but so disappointing to see not even a few months later my Gold plated necklace has almost gone fully silver. We understand we aren't getting solid gold but for hundreds of dollars I won't be wasting my money again. Judging by the other reviews here I think some serious material/quality control needs to happen. There are far better brands like Kirsten Ash that actually have long lasting Gold plated jewellery.

Really lovely staff! Have been very helpful throughout the mess that is these products. I bought a plated gold choker necklace and a plated gold ring in store totalling about $300. In two days, the plating on the necklace had completely disappeared from the clasp and part of the chain. I went back to the store and was immediately offered a refund or exchange, so I took the exchange because I did love the necklace. Not two weeks later I’m back in the store for the third time getting a refund as the replacement necklace plating was vanishing again. Staff were lovely each time, very helpful. I’ve purchased gold plated rings from another store and I can see in comparison how faded and dull my By Charlotte ring has become in the space of a month. Tempted to return the ring too as it’s within warranty but this would mean a fourth visit to the store which is honestly ridiculous. Again, very lovely and kind staff but I cannot stress how poor the quality is of their gold plated jewellery. There are plenty of other brands in the same price range that won’t give you terrible products that need to be returned after a day or week of wearing.

Attracted by the display and went into the store, there were only 1 staff at that time with 3 groups of customers. They don’t display the price so I waited for a long time to get to know the price. Not sure about the quality as there is quite a lot of bad reviews, but if you are interested can have a look

Such a lovely experience in the store and with the customer service. The girls in the store helped me pick out beautiful bracelets for my Mum and Mother-in-law that I gave them on my wedding day. The bracelets were 14k gold but super dainty. When one of the clasps broke I contacted customer service and they replaced the bracelet straight away, hassle-free. <3

I bought a necklace and it snapped within the first 3 hours of wearing it.They would not refund me and then ignored my emails. The quality is shocking and they’re way overpriced. Will not be buying anything from here again

My gf spent 2k worth of earrings at this store, having full trust in the earring “specialist”, he recommended three earrings that were the wrong size and thank fully they refunded 1 but due to “trying on” the other two piercing they refuse to do any type of exchange or refund. Poorly trained staff and even worse exchange policy

Came here to buy a necklace for my birthday. I loved the style of all the pieces. The staff was very nice and attentive! Unfortunately my necklace broke 2 days after I got it (fluke manufacture defect), but with the 6 month warranty I was able to take it to the shop and they replaced it quickly and with a smile. Will definitely be back to purchase more pieces!

Ah such a shame, we started our collection of birthstones (on a By Charlotte necklace) for my wife and our first kid 3 years ago, now with our second kid here we wanted to add his birthstone. After purchasing his birthstone we noticed the gold did not match at all, we sent it back thinking we had ordered the wrong gold - however after speaking to customer service they said they had since changed manufacturers and the gold going forward now would not match with no solution provided. The solution I have come to seems to be to re-buy the necklace, re-buy my wife's, daughter and my sons birthstones for it to match - but who says they don't re-change manufacturers again in the future? Quite hard to recommend their birthstone necklaces as an ongoing project right now - instead wait till you're all done so at least they can match. I unfortunately don't have a photo to show you the difference between the two golds (as I didnt guess this would be the outcome when sending it back), but its very noticeable, especially on a neck piece.

The customer service doesn’t match with the company believes and what they write about the brand. Terrible! I particularly like the jewellery and meanings and take it seriously to wear such nice pieces and symbols, crystals and beliefs, last year I ordered online, lucky me. The 3 times I tried to go to the Paddington store I had to wait longer to be attended and, when it was my turn, the attendant was giving attention to so many more customers making me wait again! not friendly, not even sympathetic, just wanting to make money as it’s so overpriced as well!

My boyfriend bought me a necklace from By Charlotte and I absolutely love it! After a while the clasp of the necklace had start to come loose so I sent it back to the girls and they got it all fixed up for me and sent it back along with a beautiful crystal in there as a gift. I was speaking with Kalani for the whole experience and she was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be buying from By Charlotte again. My experience was incredible! 😊

There is no consistency between the quality and colour of the jewellery. I bought a gold necklace and ring. The necklace is gold, the gold ring may as well be silver, it only looks gold if it's sitting on a white table or sheet of paper. Update: The company responded below based on my feedback. I respect that they want to rectify the issue. I never received a follow up email from them as their reply advised.

So so obsessed with By Charlotte! I have been shopping with them for years so I thought it was time I wrote a review. By Charlotte has always been my go to for buying gifts for close friends and family and of course myself. Their pieces are so beautiful and dainty. I just can’t get enough! I get excited over their emails and seeing their new designs. I recently contacted customer service about one of my 14k chains that suddenly broke after 2 years of never taking it off and the team were so friendly and helpful with assisting me. They have always gone above and beyond to assist with any enquiries I have. Love this beautiful brand so much! xx

Waste of money. My ‘gold’ ring is now silver with a few random gold streaks. The gold started wearing off within a month of purchasing. What makes matters worse, is when I reached out to customer service I received a rather abrupt response telling me this is normal of the ring comes into contact with liquids…? This is the first ring I own (other than a $5 one from Kmart) that loses colour when wet. Ridiculous. $100 for what? Don’t recommend.

Recently ordered lovely Lunar Light Pearl Anklets for gifts as already own one of these beautiful anklets and always receive flattering comments when wearing. Worst quality jewellery ever!! Plus so so overpriced! My so called *gold* earrings have discoloured. Caused me worst kind of allergy as I have sensitive skin and was told again and again that this is not gonna hurt me as it’s 18k gold plated shi*. I got a necklace and a bracelet too as they were beautiful designs and costed me a fortune. Had this in my mind that if the price is that high at least I would get some quality pieces. Little did I Know. Straight to the bin they will go !! I've worn these earrings once .. ONCE you all for about 2 hours. And look at the colour of them. Would never buy anything from here again. So disappointed.

My friends got me a bracelet from here for my birthday. It snapped/broke upon first wear - seemed like the chain was too thin and weak. Gave benefit of doubt on quality and went back to store to exchange for a new one. They apologised for the experience and passed it off as a faulty product with a loose lock. They gave me a new one. One week later, the chain breaks again. This time, it’s happened unnoticed so I have no idea when in the day it fell off… i don’t have the bracelet this time around to return, couldn’t find it on the ground anywhere either. I felt too bad to trouble my friends on going to the store again with a complaint, just a week after they got the new one so I didn’t say anything. Then I also felt guilty about not doing anything either and “losing” the gift, so I reached out over email in Nov/Dec (a few months after it broke) to see if the team can give me a diff product of equal value at the store, such as earrings or maybe a necklace, that isn’t as weak as the bracelet since i no longer trusted the quality to get the same product again. They replied asking for proof of purchase and details which I provided. Never got a reply, despite me following up a week after too. I’m really disappointed with the customer service and quality of the product. I wouldn’t recommend this place. My friend got a sarah and sebastian bracelet and hasn’t had any breakage issues. Don’t buy from this place if you want a product that’s going to last you :(

Jess was so amazing when getting my first helix piercing. The room was clean and I felt so at ease getting it done. Definitely worth a visit for all of the amazing jewellery too!

I have bought my fair share of By Charlotte Jewellery over the years but unfortunately will be needing to find a new jewellery brand to support! I have two of their necklaces that have worn well - the only disappointment was the charm that came on one was SO much smaller than anticipated especially for the price. I have three pairs of their earrings, and all of them have bent in such strange ways! One of the sleeps now no longer fit onto my ear because they are so bent out of shape. The worst experience though was their rings. I used a ring sizer to order yet when they arrived they were way too small and the not in line with the dimensions on their website. When I called and asked about it I was told they couldn't exchange for me since they were sale items even though what I was sent didn't match what I had ordered. Fast forward a few months and they have all tarnished and lost their colour... not what you would expect from such an expensive brand. Such a shame because their pieces are so lovely to begin with but simply don't have the longevity you would expect for the price you pay.

I loved my experience at the By Charlotte store in Paddington. The girls we SO helpful even though we were serving only from the front door. Looking forward to visiting the store again when the doors open to the public.

Recently I decided to invest in their 14k solid gold sleeper earrings because I love their design and the inspiration behind each piece. After wearing it just for 2days, I have lost one side of my earring while hanging out on the beach doing normal activities. My only doubt is maybe when I put on and off my jacket but I did not feel anything touch and hurt my ear. The reason why I gave them 2 stars is because I have a high expectation for their solid gold pieces, in this case, their secure lock doesn't reach my expectation. Their sale associate told me on the day that I purchased, it can be worn everyday in the shower and even swim with it so I expected it to be quite secure and strong which is why I purchased it. What I noticed before is one side of my earring has a looser lock than another but it did not bother me at that time.(it turned out to be the side that I lost) anther side that I have is much stronger. Here is the lock of the side that I still have. I’m no longer trust their sleeper earring, but their necklace piece lock are fine. —————————————————- An update: After sending the email to customer care’s email as they suggested in the below comment. I did not receive any reply back. 😕

I lost a gold ring I always wear and wanted to replace it while here in Australia. Found this company and loved loved their stuff. I ordered several pieces including a replacement ring that was very similar. I ordered on the 29th of October. Domestic express was 1-3 business days + a couple for processing. Five business days later and I haven’t heard any updates. The only update I’ve received was 2 days ago and that the ring I ordered has been refunded. No explanation or information was provided and nobody has responded to my email asking why yet. The timeline here is not crazy, it’s just not what I expected given their advertised express times. I easily could have gone in to the store and now I will have to change my shipping address as a result. I was really excited about my order and replacing my ring, and so far the process has been very distanced and disappointing. I already don’t think I’ll order again.

The staff in this store did not offer a warm welcome - or any welcome for that matter. They didn’t ask if I needed any help either. I do enjoy their pieces and they have lasted in my experience but are a little over priced if I’m going to be honest

Gorgeous 14k solid gold earrings. Ordered two different styles and they’re stunning. One however comes with the most ridiculously curved earring backing I’ve ever seen. Contacted customer support as I thought it was bent but apparently the backings on this style are all the same. Have never had a butterfly backing curve in toward the ear before. Otherwise they’re perfect but I will have to find a replacement backing elsewhere as I can’t see this sitting comfortably.
