Doctor was half an hour late for my skin check appointment and once taken into her room it was all very rushed. My skin was very briefly 'checked' and before I could even make conversation she said I was done. She left the room and I wondered if that was really it??? I was in there for a total of 2 minutes, how well could she have checked my skin. I have no confidence she checked my moles properly so I've scheduled another skin check with another centre. Such a waste of time.

Remarkably useless front desk service, as a person who wanted a consultation with a doctor. Website says 2 doctors, both are away for the next 2 weeks, person picking up the phone expects a potential patient to know EXACTLY what they want, rather than guiding them through and recommending something. Also the phone manner is just something that shouldn't fly in 2018. I'll go somewhere else for a checkup, and think you should too.

Absolute rip off. Went in for a yearly skin check, and the doctor came out 15 minutes late. Then, he spent less than 2 minutes examining the body, which normally takes 15-20 minutes to do properly due to the amount of freckles and moles. Either he's the best in the world at what he does, or he did a sloppy job just to get patients in and out quickly. I had to be somewhere afterwards so I didn't have time to argue, but will have to go somewhere else to get a proper skin check...

Just Awful. I made an early appointment. The receptionist was more interested in phone calls than informing the person waiting in the clinic waiting area when the doctor would be available. Doctor was late - after 15 mts waiting and an unpleasant exchange with receptionist - i left. Horrible experience at reception. Not getting any medical care or advice from here !!

Completely unprofessional and would never recommend this practice! I called one week earlier to book a skin cancer check up and was advised the Dr works specific days/hours so I booked over the phone with the receptionist accordingly. I’ve turned up and have been told the Dr had left for the day and that my appointment was never recorded in the system. Unapologetic staff member. Very frustrated to have commuted here

Forget about getting a response to an email. I sent an enquiry during Covid restrictions, thought I'd do the right thing and never received a response or acknowledgment.

Costumer service is awful at this place and docs are very rude and arrogant.

Appreciated being given a last minute appointment on a Sunday for my daughter - the doctor gave up her lunch break to see us. The doctor (Dr Claire, I think) was excellent. Highly recommend them and will definitely be back the next time we have a weekend emergency.

The staff at the medical centre were polite, thoughtful and responded to my call promptly after promising to call me back. It was a calm, organized place to visit. I am very happy with the service.

Had a strange and sad experience this morning in the pathology room at NSMC. I get anxiety around blood tests and 50% of the time have fainted. I have found most nurses appreciate a forewarning of you are sensitive to needles and so I warned the nurse of this and usually if a blood test is short and sweet that goes best for me – even better if the nurse is friendly, warm and puts me at ease. Today the nurse could not have been further from that. She was blunt, unfeeling, and for the whole session did not offer an ounce of warmth towards me. Constantly interrupting me, a terrible listener, disagreeable and hostile. Had the attitude of "I know best and you have no knowledge in my field". She scoffed that I hadn't drunk enough water for someone who is sensitive (first time I have heard this advice), and felt the need to make a huge deal out of the fact that I was anxious, firstly by drawing attention to the fact (not a great start), and secondly by lecturing me about all the precautions I should have taken. When I told her I have fainted many times, including whilst lying down or seated, she said the most ridiculous reply that 'you can't faint lying down' and that I must have had seizures not fainted??? I asked if she could please not describe what she is doing when drawing blood as descritptions are usually a trigger for me, and instead of offering a supportive reply she came back immediately with a pre-rehearsed reply that by law she needs to describe everything and again interrupting my request before finishing.9 years of experience as a pathologist apparently yet referred to me as 'someone with no veins'. I ended up saying that I was feeling extra anxious as I felt her attitude was rather hostile, and she tried to explain her way out of it and finally at this stage started showing an ounce of empathy. It was too late, and I left without getting the blood test as I was too upset. Possibly the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced in a blood test.

Great experience at NSMC as always. Seeing doctor, done ECG and blood test within 1 hour. Dr Diane Xiao is nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The two ladies who did my ECG have very good bedside manner. Kudos to Pathology nurse Natalie, she collected my blood quickly and it was painless. Also lovely reception team. Appreciate their skill and professionalism.

I've been a patient of North Sydney Medical centre for more than four years and have visited multiple doctors. I have never had a bad experience there, receptionists and doctors are highly professional, and the practice is clean and spacious. Currently, I've been visiting Dr Priyanka Ray, who is probably the best GP I've ever had. Dr Ray is a great listener, knows how to investigate health concerns, explains complicated things about the human body very well and truly cares. I feel incredibly safe talking to her. If you're looking for an exceptional GP who will actually listen, definitely consider Dr Priyanka Ray.

I think the front desk leaves a lot to be desired . I won’t name names but you have my details so I’m happy to respond privately. Being a patient that is paying the wages of the staff should be made clear to the front office. There is a wonderful young lady who clearly gets it . There is a dreadful lady ( who has been there too long) who clearly doesn’t understand how she gets paid . Frankly it’s a disgrace . I was desperate enough to come back ( I live close by) but I’m not that desperate that I will ever ever bother again. It feels like a nursing home where in a few years AI will provide me with a better bedside manner than the humans in situ . Disgraceful. If you folding like your job get the hell out . At a minimum , smile and at least pretend . On to the doctors . I shall gladly provide feedback when my results come through . No empathy Total visiting time was 9 minutes Total cost was $90 Jury is still out . I hope the good doc reads this

Haven’t had a bad experience here over the past 2 year! I usually see Dr Howard who is lovely and helped me with my mental health during peak Covid to access services I needed. Also very organized for getting Vaccines, the reception staff are so switch on!

This was a new medical practice for me as my old medical practice and doctor had merged into this practice. Very clean, fresh and modern. Only complaint was I thought the receptionist at the front desk was a bit officious. You are required to state your date of birth, address and phone number in front of everyone in the waiting room. When I asked why, she just repeated herself, when she could have just explained why they do this. My old medical practice never did this so my question was genuine. When I sat down I saw a flyer explaining this, but she could have just taken the time to explain it.

Dr Diane Xiao is so lovely and a wonderful asset to the practice. It is clear that she truly cares about her patients and makes sure to provide top quality care. The staff are all very professional and do a great job. Thank you all for a great experience.

My first visit to the Centre. It is easy to find, nicely and spaciously furnished in the reception area and for the first time in my life I was summoned to meet the doctor BEFORE the time of my appointment. Doctor and nurse friendly and efficient.

We’ve been seeing Dr Priyanka Ray since our son was a newborn. She is so kind, patient and friendly. We saw her today for a flu shot and she was so accommodating and knowledgeable as usual. We love Dr Ray.

As a 55 year old male that had a heart attack 6 weeks ago I have finally started to take my health seriously. Dr Diane Xiao has just superb. She has been excellent in coordinating the different aspects of treatment and recovery , liaising between myself and the other medical experts required. Dr Diane's manner is deft and confident and allows me to trust the process and follow through with my responsibilities as the patient.

First time at the practice and definitely not last. Shannon and Vicky were super bubbly and helpful and welcoming. Friendly and very insightful Dr Yong and nurses which helped my double vaccine shots super bearable. Highly recommend.

As a visitor from Qld, I was most impressed with the friendliness of everyone involved in this practice, from the helpful receptionists to the wonderful doctor I saw. The quality of the care and service I received was second to none and I would highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking a home for their medical care.

I'm new to North Sydney. Work FT and took a precious day off to do the blood test. After Covid you learn quickly to always check before show up to a place. So I rang and rang this morning for as long as minutes to just check whether the pathology was attended.. No one picked up. I found out later that instead of one there were two receptionists. I was sure I have been calling the wrong number but apparently Not Disappointing

The doctors are amazing. The receptionists have lost their touch. Not sure what’s happened, maybe overwhelmed with the work load from Covid. However, a smile costs nothing. 🙏

From reception to paying your fee, you’re treated with respect, friendly, courteous & and I felt like the drs genuinely listened to what I said to them. Very thorough and non judgmental, I have no hesitation on both returning and in referring others to attending this clinic.

I had an appointment for my flu shot with nurse Noel and he was running right on time. Noel is expert at giving 99% pain-free jabs, I hardly felt a thing. He also has a great sense of humour. I look forward to having my Covid jab in the next couple of weeks.

We showed up for a checkup for my kid without an appointment due to a minor emergency. The staff was quite helpful; they registered and booked us to see the doctor within the next 15 minutes. They also billed it under bulk billing. We will definitely go to them again.

Excellent surgery and doctors, but the most unfriendly reception staff I have ever encountered at a medical establishment. You are never greeted or treated like they are happy to see you and if you have to wait for a doctor, there is never an explanation. I have been many times in the last 12 months and am always treated like a total stranger - and a nuisance.

Always a good professional experience. It’s my Medical centre of choice. On 23 August I had my second Pfizer vaccine and this time I didn’t feel a thing. Dr Kim was fantastic and seemed to distract me from the needle which i so don’t like. This medical centre is the best on the North Shore.

Great service. I usually see a Dr who is on leave and was nervous to see another Dr. Nerves were not needed and reception made me feel at ease.

Turned up with a dead phone so my documentation was lacking. Vicky at reception was absolutely fantastic handling it. Thought I had driven there for nothing and would've had to reschedule instead she went out of her way to make it happen and get my skin check done. The doc I saw was excellent too. Thanks guys!

I had an appointment with my doctor today, he was great! However, the nurse who took the urine test was a bit impolite, she replied to my question bluntly and it was as though she had no customer service mindset. Moreover, all of the receptionists today were talking all the time, and they didn't care about me waiting for the bill for half an hour. Even though I went to ask them about the urine test fee, they had no idea about it and kept me waiting for ages. In my opinion, all receptionists there need to improve on their professionalism.

Dr Danko is always so thorough and ensures proper investigation to diagnose accurately. Would recommend her any day of the week.

I came without an appointment but the ladies at the reception are extremely helpful. I was able to receive consultation within 20 minutes. Dr. Mark Mikhail is very friendly and thorough in his questions and demonstrate a high degree of care. His explanation and recommendations are given in a warm and easy to understand manner.

Excellent attentive care via Telehealth call. Great not to have to go to the surgery and risk catching something in the waiting room. Only reason for 4 star instead of 5 was due to the Doctor being late.

It’s never a wonderful experience visiting a medical centre. But this clinic is the best. I came in for a second vaccination against COVID and was in and out within 10 minutes. Congratulations to the entire team for my very pleasant experience..

North Sydney Medical Centre have the best team of wonderful staff. I have been seeing doctors there for a variety of medical needs including fertility, skin checks, travel vaccines and other regular check ups. The online booking system makes life easier to work around and the staff have been amazing with all our family members across multiple generations. Special shout out to Drs Howitt, Kim and Xiao.
