My first high value on line purchase - I recently bought a couple of watches from them. The service was impeccable! I was helped by the owner himself. He answered all my questions patiently helped me choose and even sent my watch by an (armoured van)secure courier service. Throughout this process I felt I was dealing with a family business (which they are for the last 80 years) and the personal touch was a refreshing change (and not a faceless institutional service we are used to these days). The whole experience made me remember my first wonderful interaction with them back in 2007 when I had met Mrs Farren-Price herself a couple of times. Felt good (very good in fact) to walk into a proper big and spacious showroom (over two levels) right in heart of the CBD (at 80, Castlereagh st.) and shop face to face in person. I recently had my newly acquired vintage 1988 Rolex Datejust serviced at J Farren Price. It had just been passed down to me from my father and he had never had it serviced and it hadn't worked for around 15 years. Upon doing some research, I decided to visit this store as they are an official Rolex service centre and I wanted to see if they could get it into good working order. I was assured that it could be repaired and that it would take around 6-8 weeks. Upon receiving the quote from Morgan Sloane, I had discussions with her regarding what everything listed meant as well as providing some requests of my own. During the service process, I occasionally asked for updates and always received prompt replies. Whilst it took just over the estimated 8 weeks, I was thrilled to receive the watch back in immaculate condition. Many thanks to the team at J Farren Price for restoring this watch that has immense sentimental value and will stay with me for many years to come. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back in the future. My only other comment is that I have seen that others who have had their Rolexes serviced here received a hat upon getting their watch back and receiving one would have been a nice addition to conclude what was a wonderful servicing experience! Highly recommend this beautiful store!

After sale customer service is appalling. J Farren team promised that they will be delivering a second watch strap as complimentary since they didn’t have the colour we were after. The strap that we wanted was available at the Longines official store down the road, but J Farren lured us into this purchase with them, promising the second strap. We enquired after 7 weeks since we never heard back from them and the people on the phone were extremely rude and disrespectful. We still don’t know when the second strap will be delivered and now they have added a bitter memory to a beautiful gift that was purchased for a very special occasion. If you deal with luxury brands take a leaf from companies like Tiffany’s or LV etc… Make sure your staff has as good of a post sale customer service.
