STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. UKO is a disgusting, money-grab of a business that has zero regard for its tenants & is full of false advertising + promises that they will not keep. I relocated to Sydney for work & decided to pay premium rent for one of their ‘fully furnished units containing heating & air conditioning with a flexible lease option to extend for an indefinite time’ The above is false advertising - my lease was not at all extendable as the building owners decided they wanted to renovate and told me I had to move out — putting me in a highly stressful position of starting a new job while scrabbling to find permanent accommodation — the very thing I wanted to avoid I have written correspondence from the property manager stating I could extend which was later disproved. I never would have signed the lease had I known. Meanwhile, they continued to advertise available units on realestate.com.au in my building with ‘fully flexible leases — extensions available’ — which was completely untrue. Further, the air conditioning was broken for the duration of my stay. My multiple requests to fix it resulted in action being taken weeks after the fact I asked for a rent discount. It was of course denied. The net result failed to produce a working AC unit. These things happen, I get it - but they still were not able to provide me with a basic fan replacement in the one month/6 weeks I was there. To add salt to the wound, they wanted to charge me a lease break fee for moving to more stable accommodation - I was able to negotiate having this dropped #customerserviceanyone? They also wanted me to pay for a professional move out clean upon moving out, despite knowing the unit was simply going to be renovated, and after all the grief they’d put me through— not to mention not offering the basic amenities that were written into our legally binding contract. Possibly one of the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had moving to a new city. Don’t make the same mistake I did & accept accommodation with this fraud of a business. Recommend getting an Airbnb for your first month or so before committing to a lease.

I was looking for a short 3-month stay in Sydney. Lodged an inquiry with UKO online and was promptly put in touch with Brani the community manager of the areas I was interested in. Brani was extremely helpful from start to finish. He helped provide me with all the information across three co-living centers, extra photos of individual rooms, coordinated the all paperwork for the lease (was very straightforward, where UKO has a full support team including leasing managers, payments and document management who were exceptionally professional and responsive), and organised for any online deliveries to be taken inside the center/room prior to my arrival. The co-living center was extremely well thought through and exactly as the photos on UKO's website. The common facilities were well kept and regularly cleaned. Cleaning equipment is provided for center members to use. Extremely happy with the common laundry facilities which were quick, efficient, modern washing/drying machines with modern payment systems (Tap cards). We had weekly clean linen and towels provided, plenty of sets available and never had an issue with collecting my set. Events held at the co-living center (the key ones for me were the shared meals) were great! The studio itself was designed well and maximized the space available for storage. Smart TV in the room and reliable fast internet. Never had any noise issues, personal property nor common kitchen issues. The departure process was seamless. UKO makes it extremely easy with their own in-house cleaners, corresponded over email to organise the departure and left the key on-site on my last day - too easy. Would definitely recommend considering UKO if you were looking for a short-term or even long-term stay in Sydney. It is a much better experience renting from a professional institutional property owner such as UKO who owns and operates their own assets, rather than Independent Real Estate Agents who do not own but 'manage' individual investment properties. To Brani and the UKO Team - A Big Thank You. My stay was comfortable, clean, convenient and I felt you genuinely looked after the community in the center. 11/10, keep it up and again, would recommend UKO to any who needed a place to stay in Sydney.

Having just arrived in Sydney, I was hoping to find a place for a short stay and UKO Paddington provided a great place where the people are friendly and the sense of community is very strong, with group events being held regularly. The manager is very helpful and the friendly environment makes me feel at home in a foreign country. Highly recommended!

UKO Paddington is an amazing place to call home. My personal studio apartment is well-equipped, modern and very functional! The communal spaces are also excellent, with a great kitchen and outdoor space. There is a great sense of community in the building despite the current covid situation! It’s a great balance of independent living and the opportunity to meet likeminded friendly people. On top of that, management is very helpful, supportive and go above and beyond in providing a great living environment. I would highly recommend!

I have been staying at UKO Paddington long-term since the beginning of the year and have loved it. The sense of community is really strong, with frequent group dinners and events held when possible, as well as constant and friendly interaction with everyone here. Everyone’s needs have been looked after really well here, and the friendly environment makes for a really welcoming place to come home to each day, with lots of familiar faces to say hi to. I’d definitely recommend staying at a UKO building to anyone looking for friends and a sense of community where they’re staying.

Great place to live.. Have been living here since November 2020.. Pleasant & decent. Unique cosy modern studios.. Close to the entertainment quarter, public transport, the CBD & Bondi Beach by bus.. Good place to meet people, if you have the time to stay longer & get involved in the UKO community. ✌🏼

I moved to Sydney from abroad not knowing many people but ended up making friends for life at UKO. Planned to stay for 2 months but ended up staying for my entire time in Sydney. Beautiful building and great location next to Centennial Park & 5 mins from Oxford Street. Welcoming community, fun events and Jorge is an amazing and helpful host.

I had a great stay at UKO Paddington. It is really difficult to find housing in Sydney, let alone as a foreigner coming from overseas. The process was really simple and straightforward, and was able to secure a place in Sydney before I even arrived. The place looks just like in the pictures, and is located in a nice area. What made the experience was our house manager Brani, he really goes above and beyond to make sure you are having a good stay, always keeping us updated on events, things to do in the city as well as providing us with fresh linens and towels! He’s always so helpful when you need something or want some advice on life in city, job search etc. There’s also fun events hosted by UKO so you can meet the other people you are living with! Definitely recommending staying here when you’re in Sydney
