Our
friend
Linda
booked
a
"convicts
and
the
Rocks
tour"
on
Sunday
as
a
birthday
gift
for
her
husband
and
she
invited
us.
We
met
our
wonderful
guide
Max
Barnett
at
Custom
house.
Our
tour
was
so
interesting
and
Max
was
such
a
passionate,
well
informed
and
knowledgeable
guide.
It
was
a
quiet
day
and
we
were
lucky
to
be
a
small
group,
only
the
four
of
us
with
Max.
Max
knows
his
stuff
and
we
learned
so
much
about
the
stories
of
the
past.
He
has
a
Bachelor
for
the
stories
of
the
past
and
have
a
Bachelor
of
History
and
Law
from
Macquarie
and
Sydney
University,
a
Masters
in
History
from
Macquarie
University
and
he
is
about
to
commence
a
PhD
in
World
History
at
Macquarie
University.
So,
let
me
tell
you
that
we
were
in
good
hands.
In
this
time
of
Covid
where
Australians
and
locals
cannot
travel
overseas,
it
was
a
great
way
to
explore
and
get
to
know
our
city's
history..
We
came
away
with
a
far
greater
appreciation
of
this
part
of
history
in
Australia.
I
highly
recommend
this
tour,
especially
to
Australians
and
locals
during
this
time
of
Covid.
