Great designs, fabulous jewellery and appalling customer support. Left a necklace for a repair... for a few months no email, no phone call, nothing. Went to the shop and could hear 'sorry come back next week'. She could not find it and explain why there was no communication for a few months. Appaling behaviour and very poor care of the customer. still do not have the neckless! No refund for repair or any deeper concern about customer.

Ive been buying from them over 4 years and all their pieces (especially the solid gold, which I wear) are the highest of quality and incredibly beautiful. I first shopped at Her Banana in the old Newtown store down the St Peter’s end of King street.. since then have shopped at both the new location in Newtown and the Warringah mall shop. I recently purchased my misses a necklace for our 10 year anniversary.. Was very unsure between a ring and necklace, but with lots of help from Lana (i hope I rememberd her name right) I eventually made my mind up. She was really helpful and super professional. When I gave my better half the necklace and saw it on her I changed my mind and dragged her into the Newtown shop to try on the ring instead… The ring wasn’t 100% right either and with the help of Phoebe (who like Lana, was a massive help and super professional, both dead set legends) I decided to get a ring made exactly right… The quote and ordering process was really easy and I can’t wait to see the final piece on her! This store is one of my favourites! I'd honestly love one of everything. Over a year ago i purchased some pieces for myself and also some as gifts. They jewellery is so well made and is finished beautifully. I recently ordered some more pieces (necklace and earrings) for christmas and had no issues with lead times or quality. All looks beautiful. Very happy with the service of the owner too, very friendly.

Absolutely in love with my custom 14k gold necklace! I've been wearing it every single day. My friend had purchased me a birthday necklace from here and I wanted to change the stone colour, however it wasn't available so a custom one needed to be made. A couple of days later I went in to have a look around and found a design that I really wanted! Although Chu had already started making the other necklace, she was extremely accomodating and allowed me to change the design. It's so chic and modern! love it! <3 Thanks Chu!

I first patronised Her Banana at their pop-up store in the Galleries in Town Hall, and am very glad to know about their Newtown store- their jewellery looks great on the website but is even prettier and more delicate in person. Perfect for birthdays or anniversaries!

Honestly, Her Banana is the best jewlery store in all of Sydney that I know of. Chu, the jeweler, designs all of the jewelry herself, resulting in unique, beautiful pieces you won’t be able to find anywhere else! Not to mention all the stones and materials are ethically sourced (from South Australia) and the pieces are also all hand made?? If you want beautiful, unique, handmade jewelry that is ethically made, Her Banana is the store for you!! The staff also mentioned to me that the material doesn’t contain any nickel, which is great as it prevents the greening of the material as well as delays the tarnishing process! Furthermore, Her Banana doesn’t just sell jewelry, but offers replating, resizing and repair services! They can also make any custom design! I’ve never been to a jewelry store before that has offered these services, especially for such an affordable price ($15-30)!! Last but not least, I love coming here because of the cozy, fun atmosphere of the store and the friendly, sweet staff! Special shout out to Chu, Phoebe, and Sonya!! I was shocked by the unique unisex styles the Jeweller had available and immediately wanted to try on some rings. The staff have always been friendly and have given me detailed answers for repairs, retouches and order times. I have now bought a few pieces in stirling silver and even purchased a custom order which was surprisingly easy to plan and turned out really beautiful. The store owner is very accomodating and honest which I have always appreciated. The prices are quite reasonable considering everything is handmade and one of a kind.

I'm really pleased with my garnet rose gold necklace and mini garnet star studs. The pieces are well-made and arrived quickly, despite being customised. Tracy was also exceptionally helpful and sweet and answered all of my questions before I placed my order. Thank you :)

Absolutely terrible. Ordered earrings, on site it says 5-10 days. No communication at all so nearing 3 weeks later I emailed to ask where they were and was told they would be ready within the week. Still nothing, no explanation until after almost a month I asked for a refund. All of a sudden, they were ready to ship that day!! Then they said that when my order was placed, the earrings weren’t in stock so had to be made……owners phone number was given….she wanted to speak to me! No way, after such disappointment and terrible service. Never again!

Excellent service and gorgeous products! They even do reasonably priced repairs when I break things like an idiot.
