Fantastic local business. I bought a chain and ring for my son's 18th. They couldn't have been nicer. Had to take the chain back for readjustment and fixed with no problem and no extra charge. Vartan even polished up an old ring of mine, again no charge. This is a beautiful local family business that us deserving of community support. Will definitely be going back again.

I had a wonderful experience at BB Designer Jewellers, where I had my engagement ring redesigned and remade. Vartan has an amazing set up unique to BB where you can try on different ring bands with different diamonds and shapes to understand exactly what you like. Then Vartan designs the ring using 3D software with you. It really was the best experience to understand how it will look and see exactly what you are wanting whilst making subtle changes. The making of this ring was quick (one week) and the quality is superb. I would definitely return and recommend this service to anyone looking for a custom ring with a personable service. There aren’t the superlatives in the English language to explain how beautiful the ring Vartan - an absolute artist - has created. About 2 plus years ago I walked into his king street shop with an idea. I wanted a unique ring with pearl and alexandrite stones to be made for a male friend of mine. From initial meeting to collecting the piece Vartan and his wife showed an excitement and a professionalism that made me know he could do it. Covid interrupted the search for the perfect stones and yet I felt Vartan remained determined to source the perfect size, shape and quality. Together he invited all the nuance of my challenge and my complex ‘could it even be possible’ design and produced that which I collected today - the most exquisitely beautiful masculine but elegant piece of jewellery that I could ever have possibly hoped for. ‘Spectacular’ doesn’t do this ring justice! Vartan has managed to craft a work of art that is at once modern and classic. It looks like it was designed in the 21st century and yet has a weight of character that makes it appear to be a family heirloom that has been passed down from generation to generation. While he lives and breathes jewellery, above all else he is an incredibly nice, down-to earth, and honest person. Time and time again I’d go back to see him. From my very first interaction with Vartan, it was clear how much integrity and passion he has to ensure you feel like the centre of his world - irrespective of the dollar value you’ll spend (even if it’s only relatively little). He was so patient in listening to me. He answered all of my repetitive questions that stemmed from my lack of knowledge, and was so friendly and tactful in making sure he properly understood what it was I wanted. At times, when even I didn’t know what I wanted, he explored and discussed heaps of options with me to help make me confident in my decision. Not once have I ever felt rushed when I’ve come to him, even though I knew he continues to have many other clients, who most likely have “bigger” or “more important” jobs in the eyes of other jewellers. Vartan is a very humble but true master of his craft. I know he treats our jewellery as if it were a precious heirloom belonging to his family, and his professionalism and character has made my interactions with him among the most memorable experiences I’ve had with a jeweller. If I was writing a review for the NYT, I’d say Vartan embodies artisan, bespoke jewellery making, with skills only belonging to a dying - but prized breed of jewellers. He’s a traditionalist but also a modernist, who exhibits innovative ideas through beautiful, elegant and visually stunning pieces. Master craftsmen Vartan and his lovely wife, Nareeneh will either have stocked, or can simply create the perfect piece of jewellery for your needs and desires. With a somewhat vague idea of what my wedding and engagement rings could look like, we walked in off the street with no appointment. With a quick explanation of what I thought I wanted, Vartan worked with us enthusiastically to create the perfect set. Not wanting totally traditional engagement and wedding rings, I was unsure about the perfect dimensions for my vision, but Vartan patiently and encouragingly explained the perimeters of good design to help me to decide. The result has been described by others as gorgeous and stunning…we do agree! My groom was a little undecided about his ring and took longer to choose. Finally, after a couple of visits, he settled on a match for my wedding ring. Vartan’s guidance and skill has resulted in the perfect masculine match to fit my big, blokey, tradie, man’s hand.
