My
experience
at
Concord
Hospital
was
shocking
and
painful.
I
had
a
couple
of
surgeries
for
Kidney
Stone.
I
must
say
that
the
Doctor
performing
the
surgery
might
be
very
well
known,
but
it
is
the
aftercare
that
I
received
was
appalling.
I
was
advised
to
arrive
at
hospital
in
morning,
soon
I
was
taken
inside
and
given
a
surgical
dress
to
wear
and
a
bed
assigned.
I
was
expecting
that
maybe
in
30
minutes
to
an
hour,
I
will
be
taken
to
surgical
room.
Nearly
3-4
hours
had
passed,
no
one
came,
not
even
the
nurse.
I
was
thinking
maybe
they
had
forgotten
me.
It
was
shocking
that
no
one
came
in
those
3-4
hours
to
even
advise
on
the
expected
time
of
surgery/reason
of
delay.
Before
the
surgery,
no
Doctor
talked
to
me
to
advise
me
on
what
I
should
expect
in
and
after
operation.
I
was
given
general
anaesthesia,
and
all
I
remember
that
when
I
woke
up,
I
was
in
excruciating
pain
and
I
found
a
container
that
they
had
put
under
my
legs
for
me
to
urinate
in.
I
was
still
very
sleepy,
could
hardly
see
or
understand
much
when
some
assistance
doctor
came
and
I
think
she
was
in
a
hurry
to
leave
and
was
wearing
a
backpack.
I
could
hardly
understand
what
she
was
saying
and
she
went
away
quite
quickly.
No
assurance
was
provided
if
I’ve
understood
or
what
trauma
I
should
expect,
coming
ahead.
It
was
shocking
to
see
that
I
wasn’t
prescribed
any
medication
apart
from
one.
I
had
to
go
through
extreme
ongoing
pain
and
on
top
of
that,
extreme
continuous
burning
relating
to
urination.
After
surgery,
for
2
days,
I
vomited
continuously
and
I
wasn’t
even
given
any
medication
to
stop
it.
I
had
to
go
to
my
GP
for
rescue
and
he
did
prescribe
me
medicines,
which
helped
only
a
bit.
I
was
given
a
printed
paper
with
some
details
as
to
what
to
expect,
but
hey,
a
google
research
and
a
printed
paper
is
no
substitute
for
a
Doctor’s
direct
talk,
advice
and
prescription.
I
was
asked
to
do
a
Urine
test,
which
I
did.
I
was
told
that
a
urologist
will
give
me
a
call
–
no
one
called
me.
I
emailed
the
nurse,
still
I
got
no
call.
Eventually
I
had
to
go
to
my
GP
again,
he
advised
me
that
I
had
very
high
level
of
inflammation
in
urine,
hence
all
the
worst
experience
I
was
having.
Moving
on
to
the
second
surgery,
I
thought
I
had
learnt
a
lesson;
so
I
asked
before
the
surgery
that
I
want
to
talk
to
the
Doctor.
Thankfully
Doctor
did
come
and
talk
to
me
and
I
was
shocked
to
hear
from
her
that
I
could
have
been
given
medicines
to
help
me
relieve
my
pain
and
burning
a
bit.
It
was
worst
2
weeks
for
me.
I
asked
the
Doctor
this
time
to
please
prescribe
me
medicines
after
surgery
this
time.
Fast
forward,
after
the
surgery
this
time
–
I
asked
the
Nurse
that
I
want
to
talk
to
Doctor
this
time
and
get
the
medicine.
Nurse
said
that
Doctor
can’t
come
and
talk.
I
was
shocked
(yet
again).
Luckily
after
some
time
Doc
was
passing
by
and
saw
me,
I
quickly
reminded
her
that
I
want
medicines
this
time,
she
said
ok.
An
hours
or
two
had
passed,
I
still
hadn’t
received
any
medicines.
I
asked
the
Nurse
again,
she
said
that
she
had
checked
and
Doctor
didn’t
write
down
any
notes
or
prescribe
any
medicines.
I
kept
waiting,
chased
up
the
nurse
again
–
nothing,
no
medicine
–
even
after
this
time
the
Doctor
had
told
me
on
my
face
that
I
will
be
given
medicine.
It
was
getting
too
much
for
me,
I
couldn’t
sit
and
keep
chasing
and
taking
stress,
I
asked
to
be
discharged
and
went
to
home.
I
had
again
the
same
episode
of
extreme
nausea
and
vomiting
for
two
days,
couldn’t
eat
anything
or
drink
much.
I
had
to
write
this,
so
that
someone
might
read
and
take
a
notice.
Maybe
the
Doctors
even
don’t
know
how
bad
the
aftercare
is,
I
hope
someone
can
take
action
to
improve
the
experience
of
patients.
Thanks.
