I'm
writing
to
commend
Westmead
Renal
and
transplant
team
especially
Dr
Lucy
who
took
care
of
me.
The
team
was
thorough,
respectful
and
professional.
Dedicated
I
think
is
an
appropriate
word.
The
experience
was
generally
good.
Aside
from
the
usual
wait
like
in
all
emergency
department
(ED)
in
Australia
when
you
drive
in,
the
people
from
registration
to
triage
were
welcoming,
jolly
and
full
of
energy.
Some
hospitals'
emergency
like
the
one
I
experienced
in
Blacktown,
doctors
and
nurses
talk
to
each
other
and
not
the
patient.
In
Westmead,
they
joke
with
their
peers
and
patient.
They
work
together.
Like
when
2
of
the
nurses
cant
get
my
blood,
they
said
the
doctor
will
come.
One
nurse
asked
if
he
can
try.
It
was
a
man
with
african
accent
who
got
it.
It's
not,
she
is
not
my
patient
I
dont
care
attitude.
They
were
all
getting
along
happily.
It
wasnt
a
stressful
environment
for
a
patient
who
is
not
well
like
me.
The
triage
and
emergency
doctors
who
looked
after
me
were
all
very
caring
and
thorough.
They
read
the
papers
my
GP
and
specialist
sent
with
me.
Unlike
when
I
went
to
blacktown
hospital
years
ago.
The
renal
team
were
caring,
very
thorough,
took
all
precautions
and
tests.
They
were
available.
Other
emergency,
I
waited
almost
whole
day
to.see
the
renal.team.in
the
ED.
Nurses?
They
are
hit
and
miss
but
more
hit.
I
encountered
2
not
so
smiling
and
abrupt
nurses
where
a
doctor
even
commented,
that
could
have
been
expressed
better.
I
wasnt
given
water
or
food
in
the
ED
until
I
asked...but
in
the
morning,
I
think
it
was
a
young
man
named
Andrei
who
noticed
I'm
immuno
suppressed,
tried
to
isolate
me
but
since
there
were
no
space,
he
gave
me
a
mask
to
wear
instead.
He
went
through
the
chart
with
me
so
I
knew
what
the
results
of
my
tests
were.
I
woke
up
cranky
in
the
ED
but
felt
better
having
a
nurse
like
him.
Did
i
mentioned
the
renal
team
was
thorough
but
this
time
dr
lucy
was
with
someone
senior
who
again
explain
things
to
me
and
possible
solutions.
I
met
Dr
Wang
the
head
of
their
team.the
last
day.
She
made
recommendations.
It
helped
a
lot.
Rating
varies.
1.
Nurses-
hit
and
miss
but
mostly
hit.
Oh
in
the
ward,
there
was
a
Filipino
nurse
who
kept
talking
down
to
other
nurses.
Hearing
it
was
stressful
and
the
tone
was
uncalled
for.
It
was
more
arrogance
than
a
major
mistake
but
over
all
the
nurses
were
good.
Most
nurses
were
respectfully
quiet
at
night
but
there
was
a
time
the
group
was
chatting
loudly.
☆The
response
time
when
you
call
for
a
nurse
in
the
ward
was
very
good.
There
are
times
when
the
nurse
was
with
another
patient
but
they
still
get
to
you
in
a
good
time.
They
have
floating
nurse
system
???
Where
a
nurse
comes
and
helps
out.
4
patients
in
a
room.
☆Cleanliness.
Hmmm
the
hospital
is
clean
but
the
floor
looked
like
a
dirty
mop
was
used
and
left
marks.
My
friend
tried
to
clean
but
it's
actually
became
a
design.
The
Emergency
bathrooms
looked
unclean
and
grim
growing.
One
time,
I
went
in
and
the
patient
before
me
spilled
some
blood.
When
I
went
back
after
an
hour
it
was
already
cleaned
up.
Hard
to
rate.
Clean
but
facilities
are
old.
Bathroom
look
yucky
but
clean.
FOOD:
One
of
the
things
we
looked
forward
to
in
RPA
and
St
Vincent
were
the
food.
Westmead
is
bad.
Even
the
food
in
the
lobby
is
not
as
good
compared
to
the
other
2
hospitals.
I
give
this
a
fail.
Canulation
and
blood
extraction
team
in
the
ward:
I'll
give
a
perfect
score.
From
afar
they
can
see
the
type
of
vein
I
have.
Their
hands
were
gentle.
Took
seconds
to
finish.
Discharge:
I'll
give
it
a
fail.
--------
Negative:
staffs
do
not
wear
nametags.
Positive:
roles
are
color
coded.
Everyone
is
wearing
uniformed
in
the
emergency
ward.
Colors
are
distinct.
I
know
who
the
doctors
and
nurses...
Westmead
hospital
has
a
good
system.
Oh.
Infectious
disease
Team
verbally
cleared
me
as
the
results
came
out.
But
took
days
to
put
it
in
the
system.
People
had
to
keep
hearing
masks
and
gown.
I
rate
the
renal
team
as
the
best
i
have
encountered.
Ie
Gosford
hospital,
RPA,
ST
Vinvent,
Blacktown
is
the
worst.
Thank
you
