It's a great hospital with amazing lake views and a beautiful built in cafe. Staff are very friendly and courteous. The rooms are a good size and a quite modern. They don't do emergency surgery here so there's less chance of procedures being delayed. Food is pretty good for a hospital too.

I had never been a patient at Lakeview Private and recently had surgery at the hospital with a 2 night stay under Dr Brendan Ryan. The moment I checked in - the staff at the front desk, pre-op, theatre, and recovery were kind, polite and courteous. Staying on the surgical ward - the room I was in had the most awesome view during the day and night. It was super clean and tidy and even the bed was comfortable! A big thank you to Dr Ryan, Nurse Amanda, NUM Kathryn, and Kathryn's nursing staff, cleaners, meal services and ward porters for making my stay a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Nursing staff lovely however the wait time post surgery is atrocious. The doctors keep you waiting for ages after the scheduled pick up time to do 'their rounds'. Not sure I would return as private patient and wouldn't recommend.

Staying at Lakeview was like staying at a luxurious hotel (that happened to operate on you!). From the moment I checked in, the staff were all so incredibly friendly and caring. I had a knee reconstruction with Dr Bu Balalla and was extremely impressed with the results. I stayed overnight (check out the incredible view!) and felt so safe. The staff were just so kind and encouraging. Hollie Bauer in the nursing team took such good care of me. If you’re looking for a hospital that actually cares, has great views and top-notch surgeons - this is the hospital for you.

I think it's one of the best hospitals in sydney, nurses are so friendly and the rooms are at the highest level in terms of equipment and quality, and of course a bit pricey.

Great hospital! Staff are attentive and patient centred. Food was so so. I got my own private room which had a view of the lake.

My surgeon is terrific and I found the nurse's and the staff to be helpful and friendly. Their motto is "Patients First " and they certainly do that. I have never been in a hospital that is as good at taking care of it's patient's as Lakeview Private hospital I think that it's one of the top in Australia. The staff are all happy and a delight to be around when recovering from surgery. They have a great physiotherapy to help you whilst in hospital and afterwards. They've got a swimming pool that they do hydrotherapy therapy in. I can't believe that they're so good. Thank you for your care and support.

The worst hospital in NSW. I supposed to stay two nights I fled just after the first night. I had the impression that as a private patient, I will be in a single room, as per my previous experience in Saint George Private and Waratah Private Hospital. This never happened. In the first night after the operation, I could not have any sleep or rest and the headache was so severe. The room door is open all the time with no privacy. The machine attached to me keep displaying faults and keep beeping and I have to call the staff to switch it off almost every 15 min of the night. My room mate is snoring very loudly all night. I asked to move to another room or move the other person, my request was not even cared about. Staff member coming and going all night. Although, the doctor said I can have range of food, yet they only provided me with very salty warm water. In stead of providing a medicine script, they forced me to take unnecessary medicine from their pharmacy without giving me the option and of course charged for it. My and my family members previous experience in any private or public hospital in nsw was never ever as bad. I would never recommend this hospital to even an animal

I Recently I had two eye procedures at the day surgery hospital and wish to share my experience. From Admission til discharge I had the feeling of complete confidence in every staff member I had a dealing with. The staff were all very friendly and communicated things clearly and precisely. I can't remember all the names but I wanted to especially thank Anita, Micaele,Corey and Christina. They were wonderful. If i ever require surgery again my first choice will be your institution. Please keep up the good work.

This place is worth every penny. Not crowded, spotlessly clean, and the nurse to patient ratio is great. I have bad anxiety in hospitals and I had more than one nurse trying to cheer me up and keep me relaxed at one point and it was just wonderful. The anesthetist Dr Miller was great as well, he took good care of me.

I don't usually cope well with hospital stays and was dreading having to have surgery and be an inpatient. I really shouldn't have worried. Lakeview was just amazing. The rooms are large, clean, modern and bright. The views were spectacular. The food was simply amazing, and I found myself looking forward to mealtimes. Above all was the quality of care from the staff. I was involved in all aspects of my recovery and felt valued and that my opinion and desires mattered. Honestly can't recommend the place highly enough. I'm in no hurry to have sugery again, but if I do, I'd definetely opt to have it here.

I had two surgeries done at this hospital and both experiences though scary turned out great. The receptionist was helpful when I wasn’t sure where to go. The admissions was quick and easy. The nurses and staff for the pre-op and post-op were very caring and made sure that I am comfortable. I would wish to not have another surgery but if I have to, I would choose this hospital again.

Update June 2023: My wife had another operation and stay at Lakeview Private, 10 months after my first post. Again a great experience. Original post September 2022: My wife recently had major orthopaedic surgery. She spent 5 days at the Lakeview Private Hospital for recovery and physical rehab. The staff were excellent - attentive and caring and warm. Service standards are high - they even have timers on the screens in the corridors that indicate how long since a patient pressed their Help button! The hospital is owned by approximately 43 of the Surgeons that operate or base there. Perhaps this makes for higher service standards as they may give a higher focus to Patient Outcomes and Care than a focus on maximising profit. The attention to the patient, atmosphere and warm and caring attitude at Lakeview Private was MUCH better than the other large "private" hospital nearby. This hospital was what you would expect for a private hospital. We highly recommend Lakeview Private based on our recent experience. THANK YOU to the staff there.

The facility is excellent apart from the parking; similar to all other Australian Hospitals, perhaps the Parking has been Contracted to another private money making enterprise that resulted in Reducing the patient drop off free time from 30 minutes to 20 minutes? What happen if a patient needs additional help with mobity etc P, is the 20 minutes free time Enough - not for the users.

I have been looked after twice at Lakeview Private Hospital this year, once for Breast Cancer and seven months later a total knee replacement. On both occasions I had shared rooms at first, which was fine by me. The rooms are enormous and very well appointed. The hospital is spotless, and staff attention to cleanliness and routine is impeccable. My pain relief was managed brilliantly on both occasions, and staff were extremely knowledgeable and serious about the subject. Both procedures went very well, and I felt completely safe. The staff treat each other with courtesy and professionalism and are very much a team. Every person who dealt with me was kind and respectful. The doctors checked on me repeatedly, despite nothing being wrong. I am happy to recommend them, and would ask to go back if I need anything else done.

Whilst the staff in the rehabilitation centre were lovely, I would advise potential patients that there appears to be a 'one size fits all' approach to treatment. I attended as an outpatient after hip replacement surgery to recover and build strength. I was pushed too hard and came away with Trochanteric Bursitis. It has been six weeks of excrutiating pain, more than before or after the surgery associated with my hip. The cost of physiotherapy, a steroid injection and ongoing treatment is mounting, but I was told there would be no compensation. Ironically, I was offered more rehab under the professionals who originally treated me when the injury occurred. I'm not happy.

Excellent from start to finish. Had 4 wisdom teeth removed under G/A and was very happy with the professionalism. The nurses go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and safe and the medical team were friendly and proficient.

This Hospital has lack of care and attention to anyone. Brushing off complaints and hanging up the phone, will not take any responsibility to any damage they have done. 10000% do not recommend this Hospital, Admin staff and Rodney the Admin Manager are incompetent in their job. If Rodney knew about the on going pandemic then he would know that we are unable to travel and as well the gift, I hope the hospital enjoy the flowers. Absolutely disgusting behaviour - contacts the florist and then lies and say they were being redelivered and they were not. Classic behaviour.

I had a Total Knee Replacement procedure at Lakeview Private Hospital in April 2021. The surgery went very well however an unpleasant experience with a Staff member on Level 4 Post Op care (13/14 April) destroyed the experience for me, I escalated this incident to the Ward Manager who took note of the incident. Apart from this negative incident I have the say that the remainder of the Staff were awesome and went to great lengths to make sure I was comfortable and well looked after. The Physiotherapy team were also fantastic and I had full movement with my new knee after four weeks and back to full physical activity after six weeks. If it were not for the unpleasant experience this would have been a five star review.

Went in for a Knee surgery under Dr Bijoy Thomas at Lakeview, Dr Thomas rooms (Molly) operate very professionally with all the arrangements pre & post surgery. The surgery went to plan(as expected) under Dr B Thomas & my stay was made very welcoming with tentative nurses ensuring I was comfortable post surgery. Thanks all.

The best hospital I’ve been to, little to no wait time, and incredibly polite and friendly staff. Every person I interacted with was very courteous, especially Hasan, who was super nice, helpful, and made the experience 10x better

Dropped my mum off at 9am for a 9.30am day surgery. She was still waiting to go in at 11.30am. All went well, got a call saying to come pick her up 2pm. Arrived & waited almost an hour before the doctor was able to see her for discharge. Which would normally be ok except I had my 2 year old son with me & as there is nowhere for kids to play while waiting he had to be entertained while strapped into his pram. I was not amused. The nurses however were absolutely amazing, especially with my little one. Hopefully they can sort out better wait times or at least provide somewhere for kids to play while waiting

Came in to see a specialist. Woman at front desk reception was exceptionally rude and condescending. I had never previously been to this hospital so did not know the way to the specialist on level one, and just wanted to be directed. However, the response I received left me literally speechless. The eye-rolling and condescending attitude left me in awe that she has a people facing job when she quite clearly does not instil a welcoming and helpful atmosphere. Writing this as a warning so people can prepare themselves as I was in shock that someone could he so openly hostile to someone they had never met before.

Very Disappointing, husband had a surgery 4 weeks ago and he stayed a night he had to share the room with another guy while there were empty rooms next door! They let the roomate's wife and children come up to the room for discharge, during covid time! Tasteless food! and the last but not the least, he had an open wound that needed packing and his surgeon said he had to go to a GP to change it everyday but the nurse didn't change it and said that looks clean!!!!!!! Pure laziness

I was only a day patient at this hospital but was absolutely blown away by the luxuries I was given. The facilities are wonderful and the staff even more so, keeping me up to date on delays with good time approximation. They were extremely considerate, giving me a warmed blanket, letting me not know my weight upon my request, and providing individual waiting rooms with TV's and recliners. This was such a positive experience!

Day Surgery on 24/2/2022: It’s a wonderful experience with my thumb surgery this arvo. This was my first time admitted to this hospital and I wld like to highly recommend it to others. The hospital is clean, spacious, homey with friendly, cautious and helpful staff. They hv given clear guidance and information before and after surgery. However, one thing I wld like to mention regarding their advice ystd for the charge of the hospital β€œgap” fee which needed to be paid upon my admission, it’s a bit confusing as they indicated the total amt as β€œgap” fee. It took some time for me to ring my private health fund and the hospital general line reception to clarify it this morning prior going to the hospital. The hospital reception made it so clear & simple to elaborate the fee as my insurance excess fee plus the hospital additional facility fee. Tks to the smart reception. Sorry that I forgot her name. Anyway, I hv to give special tks to Dr Simon Chan, Prof Alwin Chuan and the team in the theatre. They hv been so professional and patient to ease my anxiety over the procedure by explaining clearly every steps to me. Then when I was in the post surgery recovery room, the post op nurse Jeanie is an amazing and exemplary caring nurse who is so patient, compassionate, caring & helpful. She explained all my queries clearly in a professional manner. She even escorted me out to my pickup car upon my departure to make sure I am fine fm the side effects of the GA. She puts the patients first instead of just getting the job done. I really appreciated her working attitudes. Warm regards, Mavis

I had a couple of procedures at this hospital recently. Although I had to wait for almost 2 hours before I was taking in for my procedures, three different nurses came and checked in on me. All the staff that I dealt with from the reception to the wait area till after the procedures were professional and friendly. Overall, the staff gave the feeling like they cared for you.

Great service and car from day surgery staff, all of them were super professional and caring. They made the stay really quite amazing - especially Margot. The reception staff based at the front door to the hospital though (before entering day surgery) not paying attention - not giving people the required paperwork and poor communication. Too busy talking to each other. Not following covid regulations and failing to give patients covid screening paperwork. They seem disinterested and are opposite to the service received by staff in the day surgery area.

Great experience yesterday. From the front door, through to Admissions, prepping for surgery and Dr Kwan Yeoh and his team on the day were kind and friendly and I was put at ease throughout the whole local anaesthetic experience for Hand surgery. Post op by attentive nurses who were friendly and kind went a long way for my overall experience. I recommend this hospital should you be going there. Angelique Davis

Wonderful experience from admission, theatre, recovery and ward. Spotlessly clean and modern equipment. No out of pocket expenses, after standard fund excess So well cared for by the staff. Barista hot coffee in a mug. I didn't want to go home :)

Just finished my last physio rehab session for a double knee replacement. Wow, what a hospital! My surgeon, Dr. Brighton, his staff, all the nurses and the unbelievable physios were all caring, efficient and lovely people. I came out the other end of this difficult experience feeling healed and cared for. These impressive people had really connected with me. Thank you all.

Had a gastroscopy and colonscopy at Lakeview Private Hospital - as nervous as I was beforehand I felt really comfortable there and well looked-after. All the nurses and doctors were really good as well as kind and informative. Things were explained to me as I went through the process so I never felt confused or frustrated, and they made sure to ask me if I have any questions or was feeling any discomfort (which was quickly remedied if so). Thank you to the staff there for taking care of me!
