Most of the nurses were great. However, I would NOT recommend this hospital or return. I have experienced a serious ongoing issue due to a nurse not listening to my suggestion that my cannula was very painful. I am now paying for scans and doctors appointments to resolve this. This has been reported and ignored, hence my poor Google review. I had issues with being overcharged and my care at the hospital. I had to chase this money myself when I recovering from surgery. Their communication is thoroughly lacking - emails left ignored, 'investigations' unresolved and nobody has called me back to go through my complaint.

I wrote a negative review about Strathfield Private a few weeks ago (under the name Bill Bailey - my son was signed in at the time) - the hospital contacted me via that review and asked me to contact them directly to follow up. I did this (weeks ago) and surprise surprise, I've heard nothing from them. They pretend to care with a follow up comment but this is just for appearance. Again, the nursing staff need a good hard look at themselves and the way they are treating their human, and often anxious, patients

I had ear surgery at Strathfield Private Hospital today. A special thanks to the clinical staff who were attentive, professional and caring. I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality of hospital meals. The only downside was that there was construction on the hospital premises so the noise was quite loud. Was offered ear plugs by the hospital staff, which was nice. Thanks to the Strathfield Private Hospital team for all your hard work and for making my surgery a pleasant experience.

Worst hospital in the town.the nurses are very unprofessional and don't have any medical knowledge .I had my gallbladder surgery there by Dr Jayantha Abeysinghe. He injured my liver bile duct during gallbladder surgery at Strathfield private..complained severe pain but he discharged me the next day. That night I was taken Concord hospital and needed to go through another two surgery.he is very careless about patient and too over confident to listen to patient's pain.I complained about pain and nearly fainted twice after the surgery but the nurses at Strathfield private just ignored my issue saying that it's just a gas pain.they gave me pain killer and didn't even care to inform the doctor.if they informed the doctor they might have done a scan and I wouldn't have gone through hell.they don't even know how to handle cannula .while removing it one nurse didn't even pay any attention and I bleeder too much.

I recently had surgery at Strathfield Private Hospital, and I am compelled to share my experience with the surgical team, particularly my surgeon and her caring nurse. From start to finish, my journey at the hospital surpassed all expectations. Dr. Belinda Chan is a truly skilled professional. Her expertise and knowledge were evident from our first meeting. She took the time to explain the entire surgical process in a reassuring manner, addressing all my concerns. I felt confident and comfortable under her care. Nurse Hanadi Arabi deserves special recognition for her kindness and compassion. Her presence was comforting, and she provided exceptional support throughout my time at the hospital. She monitored my progress diligently and offered valuable advice during my recovery, I can genuinely say she helped me physically and mentally. I wholeheartedly recommend Strathfield Private Hospital for anyone seeking exceptional surgical care from dedicated professionals who prioritize patient well-being.

Not a good Hospital I had a preventable fall after a TKR operation his was due to the nurse moving the walking frame away from my bed and out of my reach so down I toppled and broke my wrist. They were very attentive in the treatment of my wrist Some of the nurses are excellent some average Food etc was good and the place was very clean. Patient care was good but they need to improve their safety awareness. Beds good ice machines need a better design. very noisy though with folders clicking all night the Hospital failed to organise any rehab etc will not be recommending this place Sorry.

I underwent ❤️ surgery in August & could not have been looked after better. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all in ICU and all on Level 1 East wing for the care you gave me. Your dedication is beyond any words I can express from the cleaning staff to nurses & doctors & I loved the way you called me by my first name after being there for 17 days I felt you all knew me by then. Many thanks to you all 🥰

A very good experience. I was admitted there for an endoscopy on Saturday 8am Nurses were so comforting. I cant remember the names of all but one nurse “ARMIDA” was super nice. Dr. John lee was my Anaesthetists and Dr. Raghu gill was my gastroenterologist. Both were very polite and made me comfortable as i was anxious right before anesthesia. Also they provided me a meal as well. I would rate 10/10 for the service in the hospital. Thank you team.

I attended Strathfield Private Hospital for a procedure recently. Certainly the facility is 60's-70's era in design as some reviewers have complained....with no parking thus 3 stars if it were a hotel which it is not! . However, the attending doctors are 5+ * most definetely the best in their field, and isn't that what we want? Professional excellence, trustworthy, ethical medical doctors when our life in in their hands.....and they are that! Doctors such as Anaethetist Dr Michael Palmer, Gastroenterologist and Surgeon Dr Kevin Ooi are just two who have recently cared for me who represent the best available in their field of expertise. The Nurses too, most are highly skilled but a few are still "finding their feet." All however are well meaning, doing their best, and those less skilled are under the supervision of the' eagle eye 'highly skilled ones . We are lucky to have them all ....when the nursing university fees are costly as their fellow students who pursue other careers with double the nurses pay. Nothing has changed for our nurses. Lastly, Ramsay health care ,wholly Australian owned is known for its quality health care ,I believe the largest private provider in Australia (but now competing, amongst others) with 34 wholly Chinese owned Australian hospitals with unlimited finances. I say, well done Strathfield Private your decor might not be the most up to date but your medical care is like no other.....superb! Thank you all. RD.

Horrible nurses who barely do their job properly During surgery, no one called to arrange for me to be picked up by my next of kin. I was sent home without discharge papers. After surgery, the nurses who barely spoke English could not answer any of my questions due to their unprofessionalism.

Horrible experience here, went in for day surgery. Pre-work, surgery & recovery was fine - then it went downhill fast… - First time standing after anaesthetic i was left & told to do on my own accord behind closed curtains, too bad if I collapsed??? My next of kin was only given 15 minutes notice to pick me up after being told it would be 1 hour notice, they then proceeded to call him multiple times pestering how long he would be (after I explained he lived over 45 mins away). Finally get to leave and my next of kin has to take me to X-ray downstairs, shouldn’t this be a nurses job (we were also made to feel inconvenienced to a passing nurse that we had to ask for directions cause we weren’t told where to go). Get into x-Ray (I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out) after resting my chin on the plate the radiographer adjusted the plate up knocking my chin (lucky I was fully numb) I was told to bite on the plate, I explained 3 times that it needed to be lifted as it’s hitting my teeth from sitting too low, SHE THEN PROCEEDED TO PUSH MY HEAD INTO IT which knocked my front teeth before I said again, it needs to be lifted!! Honestly, disgraced that this was my first experience in a private hospital, I expected so much more.

I have a physical disability but the toilet in my day ward was not high enough for me to use. I was therefore forced to call for help to be able to lift myself up from the toilet.

Strathfield private hospital had my worst experience ever. Finished my operation and they rushed me out and while I was on morphine they didn’t explain to me the procedure of what to do when I leave hospital. I should have been kept in the hospital for longer due to my condition. Plus they never called my next kin of when I finish my operation and the nurses have very bad attitude and before u leave the hospital bed they already place the next patients belonging in your room. And finally they lost my belongings and couldn’t find them to later on half hrs before I leave . Sitting in concord hospital emergency at this very moment waiting for bed or doctor after a very long day at Strathfield private hospital.

My review has changed after speaking to the CEO of the hospital, I am giving 3 stars because of the time for her to call me, and the pre operative and operative people who were amazing. It's sad that it did take 2 people to destroy what would have been an awesome experience otherwise.

Staff here were truthfully amazing. I had a very long painful night after my operation and the nurse was always awake and aware and was able to help. It really makes a difference when there’s great staff and I don’t know what I would’ve done without them. Wish I could of left a feedback form.

I was really nervous pre surgery untill i saw the nurses and they did a great job by being genuinely caring and friendly, i was calm in no time. Then saw the surgeon dr. Kevin Ooi, an excellent example of how dr's should be. Post surgery the nurses were excellent, nurse hanady was just amazing. Food was good, rooms are clean. Thank you for making this so easy and simple

Worst hospital ever visited in my life. I was there asking for medical treatment and there was one I guess one Indian lady who was so rude to me and she didn't even listen to my problems and they are here to provide service for the people and they are being funking rude. What if it was ur relatives or family members.. would u do the same

I can't understand the 1* reviews. They deserve 10*. The staff were exceptional from the time I checked in until the time I was discharged. The nurses in my ward couldn't do enough & were genuinely caring & friendly. They were obviously tired but still managed a smile. The food was also very good. From the bottom of my heart. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Excellent support from all at the hospital, especially the ICU nurses. The hospital itself looks like it was built in the seventies and hasn't had a lot of money spent on it (other than the foyer + cafe renovation) - sweating the asset is the financial term. The ICU and Coronary Care Unit rooms are old, noisy and uncomfortable and there's no outdoor areas accessible to patients.

I recently on the 27th October 2023, had a day procedure and I can honestly say the staff from the Front Desk, to the Nurses on the ward, the Theatre Staff and Doctors were amazing and professional. Nothing was an issue, they were caring, courteous and professional
