Update on 2-Sept-2022: Norwest Private Hospital did contact us to get more information re my wife's experience and what occurred. My wife has provided the information. Original posting August-2022: My wife recently had major orthopaedic surgery at Norwest Private Hospital and was an inpatient for 4 days. It was our first experience with Norwest Private hospital. The staff were likely as caring as they could be - however they were mostly so busy that they could not provide an appropriate level of care. The staff were apologetic about the poor service but clearly they were overloaded with work and tired. One staff member lacked basic skills which is a major concern considering the importance of their role. The atmosphere here had the same feel as a regular Public / Government hospital - except that you had a private room. Staff morale appeared to be low. Not the standard you hope for when you are physically vulnerable and dependant on the hospital staff after surgery, (and also considering the expense of top-level private hospital medical fund costs). (I did subsequently read that Norwest Private has a parent owner that is an overseas Investment Asset Equity company. Hopefully they can divert some of their profits back into Norwest Private to help the staff and patients)

*** Response to your reply some 4 months later, I have already sent the same complaint to the below email and received a response that it would be investigated and someone would contact me within 30 days. Despite three follow ups, no reply. This just shows, profits before your patients!. To say that Northwest Private Hospital is a joke is an understatement! The Hospital is significantly understaffed and in desperate need of more nurses. I would ring the bell and wait over an hour on multiple occasions and multiple times I waited almost three hours after asking for pain relief before it was delivered. Most of the nurses were great, however there were some rude ones also who are not trained to deal with patients that have had my surgery and actually hurt me by pressing down hard where I had just been operated on, despite them being fully aware of my surgery and the incision locations. The food is appalling with not much option, they forgot my food twice and I had to ask and the timings for delivery are inconsistent to say the least. Ice-cream was always melted and drinks warm. I rang up weeks in advance to tell me that I needed to be in my own room given that I have some personal issues, in addition to the surgery I was having, and this was acknowledged. I was placed into a double room by myself and from the first, second and third night, I was advised I was getting my own room; however, this did not happen. I was advised someone was coming into my room and I advised I didn’t want this, and I had already spoken to the staff prior and during my stay stating the same. I asked to speak to the Nursing Unit Manager, who showed no sympathy to my reasons raised and stated because it was Workers Compensation, they essentially didn’t care where I went. Whilst I appreciate Workers Compensation does not pay additional for private rooms, don’t have your pre-admission staff and multiple nurses tell me another thing, your miscommunication and incompetence isn’t my problem. I raised the issue well prior and was told it wouldn’t be an issue and they could accommodate me. After speaking to the Nursing Unit Manager, later that day I was told by a nurse I was moving, which made me feel a little better, to be later told oh that patient is now staying, but don’t worry another one is going. After asking multiple times where we were at with soon, I was told hours later we gave the room to someone in the ED. In addition to putting someone in my room, they allowed their visitors to stay past the visiting hours who continued to make noise which affected my recovery and staff didn’t ask the visitors to leave, despite me saying something about being there after visiting hours and the noise. Patients need to try and rest, and this is impossible by how noisy the Hospital is. I would continually close the door and turn the lights off and then staff would leave the lights on or door open, even know I asked them to turn the lights off or close the door. In addition to this, on what planet is it acceptable to using vacuums that sound 100 years old at 6:30AM in the morning when people are trying to get some kind of rest. Equipment is rubbish (tray table) and a fan that cost $10 from Kmart that doesn’t even work and is covered in dust. To top it off, on my last night the wards people were returning another patient to the room and decided to slam the other persons bed into mine, significantly hurting my stomach where I had just been operated on. I have stayed in several private hospitals and this by far is the worst. They clearly put profit before their patients, and it shows by the feedback they receive every day. I will say the nurse who did my discharge was fantastic ensuring I was well informed about going home and ensuring I left on time. I certainly won’t be back to this Hospital for future planned surgeries and urge everyone to steer clear, the feedback from everyone speaks for itself.

Avoid at all costs. They will make you pay top dollars and offer service which is worse than 3rd world country hospitals. My wife was booked for a day surgery which was to be done at 4 pm. They called her at 1 pm asking her to fast from 8 am and did not attend to her till 4.30 pm and finally took her for surgery at 5.30 pm. The question is that if you know surgery is at 4 pm why does the front desk have no information about when to call patients. The surgery waiting rooms are very cold and make sure you get your warm clothing. Worse when I came to pick her at 8 pm, there was just 1 staff member doing all the paper work and it took more time to get an update. Public hospitals are much better than this woefully understaffed hospital. Sad to see this hospital fall from grace.

Do not go in here if you have the luxury of time to find another emergency , they take a ridiculously long time, and seem to give preferential treatments to some patients over others that the staff seem to know better. Went into get my dad checked for possible internal injuries after a terrible fall he had, nurses and doctors were extremely rude, my dad was in a world of pain and they could not care any less have had him seated outside for at least 4 hours, the whole process took over 8 hours, which only included 1 x-ray and a blood test. There weren’t too many people waiting at the emergency. We went to a private hoping to a quick and a better service, was extremely disappointed and will not visit again.

Do not come in believing you will get a double bed room automatically even if that’s what you have booked and shown on the tour. Those room are given to the NORMAL babies that are delivered ON TIME , according to their timeline and schedule only. If you have to deliver earlier than expected , be ready to be assigned a single bed room for the first few nights (Three out of five nights for me). If you get assigned the sofa bed single room, my advise is to you dads, make sure you ask for pillows, bed cover and blankets. You might need to ask multiple times , but it will be make your night more bearable. Some staffs are great while others are not. It is for the good ones and the overall experience that make this a three star review. Shout out to the staff in special care, they showed me and my wife a lot and took good care of my son.

I was admitted in surgical ward for 3 days and I had worst hospital stay experience. I had a lovely nurse in recovery unit but The nursing staff did not care at all in the surgical ward. I press the nurse bell to go the toilet but the nurse came in and told me not to press the bell and told me I can go to toilet by myself and I don’t require any assistance, I was only 1 day post op patient and was weak and dizzy. They did not even come once to see how I was doing. The only time they came was to give me my medication. If I would have stayed even one day more in that hospital I would have been more sick. I wouldn’t even give 1 star to this hospital staff. The nursing staff needs to have knowledge of total patient care not just show up to give medication. I hope no one have to gone through the same experience specially when they are sick and needs help.

My experience with the night shift staff in the wards at Norwest Private Hospital in Bella Vista is less then favourable. From my arrival at ICU until my relocation to the wards the ICU Staff on all shifts were fantastic, nothing was a problem as they were always courteous and professional with the patients. The day shift and afternoon shift taking care of the wards on level 3 are mostly courteous and professional as well with the odd nurse that may be intolerant or rude, however my experience with the night shift is completely different. One particular member of the nursing staff on the night shift is rude, and extremely reluctant to offer assistance to patients. I just finished using the urine bottle to go to the toilet and pushed the nurse call button to see if someone could possibly empty it for me because I’m trying to drink as much fluid as possible during my recovery and I will need the bottle again. When the nurse entered my room I politely asked if she could empty the bottle because I knew it wouldn’t be long till I needed it again, and it was much easier for me to physically use the bottle then it is to try and walk to the toilet due to the unforeseen complications experienced during surgery. The nurse immediately became indignant as she looked down at my feet and said, not asked, “CANT YOU WALK TO THE TOILET!!” Even though I explained that it was much easier for me to physically use the bottle at present she showed no empathy or care for my circumstance. Once the bottle was empty she abruptly put it back in the holder and stormed out of the room in an extremely rude and ignorant manner. As a patient in recovery the nurse immediately made me feel as though I had caused her a major form of inconvenience . Early this morning I went to message my family and the phone had fallen off the bed and on to the floor so I pushed the nurse call button seeking assistance, I pushed the button three times because all I could hear was laughter and load chatter around the main desk near my room and no one was coming to answer the call. When the same rude nurse walked in the room I apologetically explained my phone had fallen on the ground and asked if she would mind getting it for me. The nurse immediately began grumbling and mumbling under her breathe then abruptly handed me the phone and began to storm out of the room. I asked when the shift change was happening and she abruptly replied “RIGHT NOW!!” and I replied by saying “Thank goodness for that!” As she slammed the door on her way out. I have been respectful, courteous and encouraging to all the staff because I believe the ones that truly care do an amazing job and deserve recognition for the monumental effort they put in to caring for patients.

Go elsewhere. A 3 hour wait for an epidural is unacceptable and it was physically and emotionally distressing to say the least. The 2 stars given is for the few nurses and midwives who were lovely -they deserve 5 stars. Unfortunately, it felt as though the maternity ward was understaffed and therefore nurses and midwives were too busy to take the time to truly help me as a first time mum. Staff seemed overworked and were therefore abrupt where gentle advice and care was needed. Resources were often hard to come by and my partner was left to work out how to access and clean equipment with no assistance. We've since followed up with the hospital, however, their assurances for a better experience in the future for myself and other mothers did not leave me comforted.

$385 - HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY.. Will NOT recommend Norwest Private to anyone... Sunday 5 February 2022, our son was attended by ED team after waiting for over 2 hours. There was hardly any patients in the waiting area and all looked very relaxed. The receptionist was very cold, asked for private health care card and credit card but no mention of how much will be charged and asked me to fill out few forms. As any parents we were concerned about his welfare. It's turns out he had minor scratch on face after falling. The doctor who attended spent just 2 minutes (literally), printed out information sheet from website using The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne and discharged. We paid $388.85 which we believe it totally unjustified, hence we are seeking full or partial refund. The doctor did not spent time and printed materials from website. We have send feedback forms to various departments at Norwest, to date we have not heard back from anyone.....

If you have a choice, do not come here. I am angry and frustrated. 1- got to know the day before about a PCR test, was not informed, did the blame game then blamed the surgeon. 2- the person who called me to tell me the admission time, she said everything so quickly like I am just this name on her list so she can get it done quickly. Till now my experiences with this hospital has been very bad. Because of their lack of communication, I am not having the surgery today and also missing out on work because I took off for the procedure which honestly I deeply feel there should be some compensation. My niece has a procedure done 2 years ago and everyone was quite rude, still the same now. They just treat you like a chore, something that needs to be done and not like a person. For a procedure, the care factor for the patient is so important, knowing that they are taken care off and I definitely did not feel it here. Treat patients with respect and care.

I had to visit the Norwest Emergency at 3am in the morning, accompanied by my husband due to dehydration from acute nausea and vomiting. When we arrived, there was one receptionist present, who immediately on first impression, was not very nice or welcoming. She grumpily gave us some forms to fill out, and not even asking how I was doing, even though I was severely dehydrated and about to pass out. It was very obvious that I was extremely sick, but there seemed to be no urgency, as we sat in the empty emergency room, with no other patient waiting, until finally a male nurse walked in to triage us. The nurse also was not particularly nice, didn't show any empathy to me, and was certainly in no rush or any sense of urgency. He took me in and asked my husband to stay outside for 5 mins, with no explanation of what was happening. The nurse did not show any empathy nor listen to my request after i told him that i would prefer some anesthetic for my cannula. I was there for the whole night and and did not see the doctor until the next morning to which i was then told that I could be discharged with no further information given. When asked about the blood test results he said that the results weren't out. I was still vomiting by then and was concerned about his decision to discharge me without being fully recovered. I could also hear the staff including the doctor were happily chatting away in the emergency room. During discharge, I had to ask for a copy of my blood test results and a script for nausea and vomiting. I was then told that the doctor was too busy and it could be another 2- 3 hour wait for the script. I also was not given enough information on after care and what to expect after discharge which I felt was essential seeing I was not fully recovered. Overall the experience was well below what we expected from a private hospital charging $400 before even getting to see someone. The staff in the emergency room are lack of empathy, patient care and professionalism.

Poor attitude from some nursing and discharge staff. Nurses constantly pushing you to go home, against doctors recommendations. Nurses lying to doctors saying patient refused medication. Discharge summary only has 30% of the important information in it and didn't even mention my major surgery! To think you pay so much money for private health And you receive such bad service. If they weeded out the bad quality nurses, I feel this hospital will do a lot better. It's a shame that this has been a long standing issue at this hospital.

Fix the parking. It is an absolute joke! I've been sent here twice now for procedures and have been unable to park on either occasion. The car park barriers let you in but there are no spaces available. There should be signs stating the number of available spaces and signs showing alternate parking close by. Both times I had to park a considerable distance away. Not good with a dodgy hip and knee. The parking area is poorly designed, too small and badly managed. The next time I'm referred to a specialist at NorWest Private I wont go. I'll insist that the doctor finds somewhere more convenient. While the hospital might be closer, it costs you more time trying to find a local place to park. Not a good experience. * Edit. 08 September 2023. In response from the owner. You are joking right? You need another whole level of car park right? Your car park is approximately half of what you need for that building. They obviously cut corners when the hospital was designed and cut costs when it was built because it's half the size of what is required. I completely fail to see how providing you with my personal details will do other that have your annoying corporate spin doctors contact me, and for what reason. It won't resolve the parking problems at all. Save it for someone else please?

I fractured my ankle walking my dogs. I was put in an ambulance yesterday afternoon and taken here. My partner was wheeling me in a wheel chair through the hospital while I was in severe agony and a staff member by the name of Girlie felt insulted she had to hold the door open for me and my partner to get back to my ward. She was wide eyed and crazy yelled at me WHAT ARE YOU STARING AT while I was being wheeled through. My partner and I were shocked and I told him don’t worry she’s probably had a bad day. I was discharged and was lucky enough to have her take my payment on the way out of $515. This person snatched my credit card out of my hand , threw my paperwork at me. I told her I want her name and her managers number. She gladly wrote it down and said I’ll even give you my managers name with a smirk. a disgrace to the private health system and Norwest hospital and she ruined my entire night while I was in severe agony and distressed. TO ADD to this , I provided my contact details to them as per their request below so they can follow up with me (no follow up) disgraceful place. You’ll get better care at Westmead government hospital.

I attended Norwest Private for a surgery and found the hospital staff very friendly and caring. Overnight stay in the surgical ward was also very comfortable. The nursing staff and the entire surgical team are absolutely amazing. As it was my first surgery, I was obviously very anxious and stressed, however the surgical team was very kind and were able to put my mind at ease. The food provided was high standard and quality compared to other public hospitals around. The recovery room was well equipped with TV and en-suite bathroom. Overall I highly recommend this hospital for surgeries and overnight stays.

I recently gave birth at Norwest Private Hospital. This hospital does not have enough staff which is so disappointing. I had the worst experience on the most important day of my life. I went into labour on 4th June and was admitted to hospital at 2:30 pm that day. I was looked after well till 8pm after that there was no staff available. It was Sunday night and only one midwife was looking after all the deliveries. I was 10 cm dilated at 2 am on 5th June, 2023 and was made to wait for 3 hours to start pushing my baby out. I was not told why. By 5 am there were no contractions and obs had used vacuum cup to extract my baby which resulted in partial thickness laceration wound on my baby’s scalp which has not healed yet. I didn’t expect that treatment in a private hospital. It was the worst experience of my life and would not recommend this hospital for maternity at all. I’m furious as no one cared about me or my baby. In addition I did provide them feedback internally and they have not contacted me back as they don’t care at all.

I am writing to express my concerns regarding our recent experience with Anaesthetist service at this Hospital (Note: paid $10,000 bill to the Hospital so far). The receptionist/administrator who contacted us exhibited a high level of aggression and impatience. Despite having received approximately 60% of the invoice ($1200 invoice) from our insurance company, the accounts receivable department continued to pursue us for payment and even resorted to making threats. I have communicated multiple times over the phone and requested a revised invoice that clearly outlines the remaining balance. Regrettably, staff displayed impatience and went so far as to abruptly end calls with both myself and my pregnant wife, who were unwell at the time. This incident had a lasting negative impact on my pregnant wife's mental well-being throughout the day. It is disappointing to encounter such aggressive behaviour from a well-regarded private hospital, and I hope this matter can be promptly addressed. Hi Maya, I appreciate your attention to the unprofessional conduct exhibited by the Anaesthetist service. I have sent an email thread containing comprehensive information. Should you need additional details, please do not hesitate to contact me at my phone number provided. I anticipate a thorough inquiry into this matter.

This hospital's reviews speak for themselves. The generic replies from management obviously have no meaning to it as all the issues are still very relevant. They claim to have a fantastic chef and 'The meals you'll enjoy have been designed by our talented Executive Chef John O'Shea'. As a patient all I received was a mushy chicken and cucumber sandwich for lunch. Dinner wasn't too bad being a vegetarian dish, despite me not being vegetarian. Breakfast was cornflakes and toast. Not once asked what dishes I would have liked. So not sure who gets to enjoy these fantastic dishes this chef has invented as it certainly isn't the patient. As for care from some staff it was the bare minimum, some staff were fantastic and caring. I wouldn't reccomend this hospital to anyone as they are obviously more about making money as a private hospital than the actual care for the patients who are forking out thousands of dollars.

The worst maternity hospital! The only good part was the birth suite midwives, once you are in the postnatal ward it’s a merry go round of agency staff and a few health scope hired nurses (not all midwives) . Some of them are in entirely the wrong profession! And the food is beyond pathetic! New mothers tend to be hungry, and the serving sizes and quality is shockingly bad. I had to resort to getting food delivered because I was still starving after meals. Also meal times are variable, lunch can be between 12pm-1:30, not ideal if you’re already hungry! Wish it could be given 0 stars

My son recently had day surgery and I can’t say a bad word about the recovery nurses they were fantastic !! However I had to self fund the visit for my son and the nurses came in twice to check on my son and his heart rate within a 7 hour time frame so I had to be my sons nurse and chase them to give him pain meds no bloody compassion!! Never again and paying $1200 for me to be a nurse !! So pisssed off! People need to be aware that it’s all about the money with this hospital and patients are just a name on a piece of paper.

My mother, after having been involved in a car accident, was taken to Norwest Private Hospital emergency department by ambulance. She was obviously in shock as well as in pain. She was not accepted by Norwest, because of some policy regarding the speed involved. The paramedics, who were absolutely wonderful, were astounded and tried argue the point with the senior nurse and doctor, but to no avail. The doctor was very dismissive and showed no care or concern. Won’t go back there ever! My mum was admitted by the SAN, without a problem and the staff have been lovely!

I was worried about going to this hospital due to bad reviews online, but I found everyone to be helpful, efficient, and friendly. I went into the surgical ward, and the nurses were kind and attentive, the admissions folks were helpful and the food was fine - not fancy but pretty good. My surgeon was Dr. Ngui and he is wonderful! Even the cleaning staff were nice. I know everyone has a different experience, but I'm happy that my experience at this hospital was pleasant and made having surgery a much better time than I expected. Thanks!

5/5 for facilities, 1/5 for staff & their attitude. they were clueless and had different versions of what seems to be a standard protocol. some of the best doctors/ specialists/ surgeons use this hospital. improving the quality of admin and nursing staff will be a huge uplift.

The lack of respect and care from the workers at emergency front desk is unbelievable. If we were not in a dire situation of my father being so weak and in need of a blood transfusion we would have left. If you have a choice do not come here.

My dad had surgery at Norwest Private Hospital and we couldn’t be more disgusted of the attitude and disrespect we have experienced from some of the staff and nurses from this hospital. They absolutely disregarded my dad’s requests. My dad needs usual assistance especially when he needs to go to the bathroom and he received absolutely no help we paid over $5k and we didn’t even receive our own room. Honestly, public hospitals are so much better than private and it is such a waste of money. Public hospitals provide care and kindness, they have empathy for their patients, at this hospital it is disgusting service. I don’t recommend this hospital.

If I could put zero stars, I would. As a TAFE nursing student I was assigned this hospital for placement. My 1st day ever on a hospital medical ward, our 1st set of observations were done with an EN - she showed us how to incorrectly take blood pressure and oxygen saturation on the same arm and insisted it was okay when I asked her about it. An RN sent me on break after I tried to document my second set of observations, which had an alarmingly low oxygen saturation. After returning from break, family asked us to recheck obs, and low and behold the oxygen was still 77% and the incompetent RN finally called a METCALL. After questioning the RN in a distressed state as to why it wasn't done before sending me on break, they refused to let me return and finish my placement. The medical ward wing at the time had 6 students caring for about 8 patients - you're paying for students to provide care. Long story short, I wouldn't bother paying top dollar to stay in a private hospital who have incompetent nurses in charge - why would you risk a loved ones life like that. The reviews speak for themselves.

Had my first baby here a few years ago, and had a wonderful experience (aside from the anesthetist who was supposed to be there during business hours but decided to go home and take a full hour to return!). The food was good and the midwives were kind. Went back a few weeks ago to have an iron infusion at the birthing unit and was treated exceptionally well by the maternity staff. Looking forward to having my second baby there in a couple of weeks. Will update the review based on that experience.

My grandmother was admitted here for almost two weeks in June 2021 during the COVID-19 outbreak. The lack of communication between the hospital staff and our family was distressing and unacceptable. We would telephone call the hospital ward for updates, however the nurses refused to provide any over the phone! How can that be justified during a pandemic? Every other hospital my grandmother has been admitted to has happily, without question, provided updates over the phone. The doctors and nurses here have no empathy for patients and their families. To add to this, within a few days of being discharged, my grandmother’s condition worsened and we rushed her by ambulance to a public hospital where she was diagnosed with serious underlying conditions that Norwest Private Hospital failed to diagnose. From our experience, it appears that the only priority this hospital has is the profit it makes from each patient’s stay. For the sake of yourselves and loved ones, never consider Norwest Private Hospital as an option. We are blessed to live in a country with an excellent public health system.

Go elsewhere! As pte hospitals go, this is pretty lame. Took 24 hours before my relative saw a doctor. The wifi is non-existent; TV is appallingly outdated - can't even get all free-to-air let alone pay TV or internet - and the food is public hospital standard. Compared to North Shore Pte, it's chalk & cheese. If they are down a nurse, they don't call in a temp - staff just have to manage. Save your money and go elsewhere . They are so short staffed, a family member felt she had to stay 24/7, sleeping on a camp bed. Just disgraceful.

My husband had surgery at this hospital only last week. I really wish I read the reviews prior to admission . But when your surgeon operates at the facility , you are left with little choice. We live 4 hours away from Norwest/ Bella Vista. His original date of surgery was postponed due to an emergency surgery for another person ...totally get that . Flight plans changed as sitting in a car for 4 hours would not have been very comfortable. Prior to hospital pain management until control I have not long retired from being a RN for 47 years. I am struggling to understand how the nursing professional standards have dropped so far . On the 2nd day of admission my husbands pain was not managed, prior to surgery . I arrived to find him in agony once again. I tried to explain to the nursing staff his pain had been controlled with regular panadol oesto . He was ordered pain relief but not given . I asked for 5mg of endone together with pandol os and he was given 10mg. Sorry panadol osteo not charted ...Could you get it charted please ? This did not happen for 2 days . The 10 mg of Endone continued for the next 24 hours My husband became very confused on the day of planned surgery , he had a cardiac echo in the morning , but he had to stop as he was really unwell, and struggled to complete. I tried to let the nurses know on the moring shift , but not until afternoon shift 1 hour befor scheduled surgery was this acknowledged . Theater orderly arrived to take my husband to surgery , but I asked could he wait as there was a possiblity surgery would not happen today . He was then seen by anesthetist and surgeon ..surgery postponed ??? till when ??. He was seen by a Geriatric dr to rule out a CVA (stroke)or and other hidden issues. He had a full assessment done by both geriatric Drs. My main concern was my husband ceased his aspirin/cartia close to 3 weeks in preparation and there was a big possibility he could have clots in legs or lungs post op. He was also constipated due to the high levels of pain relief in a 24 hour period . Several blood tests /urine tests were ordered as well as chest Xray . Surgery didn't happen until the following Wednesday .I was unable to stay in Sydney to be at his bedside. By husband phoned me at home early hours Saturday morning asking me to phone hospital and to get a nurse to help him as he couldn't find his call bell in the dark and had been calling out for 2 hours, with no response. He was in pain and movement was limited as he also had a urinary catheter. This is a very long review , but I hope you all will continue to read until the end . Very sad to think our health system is so lacking in empathy and the ability to listen to the patients or relatives Yes ...I completed the survey sent. And today I will contact Quality manager and give feedback

I had my first baby here. Unfortunately due to C19 we were not able to do a tour of the hospital, but we were received with warmth and felt welcome. Even through that moment of pain we were treated amazing. Our Midwife was absolutely fantastic. 5 stars wont cut it for her! Our nurses in the maternity ward were amazing as well. Some were amazing and others exceeded our expectations. Even though it is never nice to be in hospital and we were wanting to go home pretty bad, we were really impressed with the great service and advice offered by our midwife, nurses, doctors and consultants. Even the cleaning crew and food crew were friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this hospital to everyone 🥰

First time visit, nurse who checked me in was pretty rude, very huffy and muttering under her breathe. Stated that someone had rang me the day before but there were no messages as I was monitoring my phone all day. No follow up phone call to see how I was after surgery. All other staff were excellent it's a shame that one person can spoil a visit. I let it go as I thought she may just have had a bad day. But I am due to go back and if she is the same I think I will be definitely saying something. It's not right to pay for a private hospital to be spoken to that way, if you have a problem leave it at the door, people rely on a good experience when visiting a hospital.

I have been to this Hospital many times in the past and have had a great experience, but the way I was just treated by the attending person at the front desk of the emergency department is absolutely disgraceful. You are dealing with people that are attending the emergency department for a reason. She basically did not want to engage in any type of conversation at all. While I understand that you may be having a bad day, there is no need to take this out on people that are in pain, just simply looking for treatment. I would expect it if I was rude to start with but I have now just witnessed this same person being extremely rude and short even with elderly patients coming in. Then as I left and paid my bill she was extremely condescending. As I stated I have been here many times before and never have I witnessed such an attitude everyone else that I have dealt with in this hospital is amazing. But whoever was on the front desk at the emergency department during the day on the 15th October 2021 needs to go and find a new job or requires training on how to not take their bad day out on patients in need, the last this that people going to the emergency department need, is to be met by someone like this.

I recently had surgery at Norwest Private Hospital and spent 3 nights recovering in the surgical ward. I cannot thank the wonderful staff who work there enough for taking such good care of me. The bedside manner of the doctors and nurses is amazing. The hard work and polite manner of all the staff there really made a difference. It was comfortable, pristine and thoughtful in every situation. The directors of Norwest Private Hospital should be very proud of each member of their staff for the wonderful job they are doing.

I attended the Emergency Department on the evening of 24/11/23. The doctor diagnosed my Cholangitis which was later confirmed by MRI. Well done and great job. Nurses Kim and Debbie looked after me very well with the IV drip and antibiotics. There was also an elderly man being treated who was clearly distressed. Nurse Debbie sat with him and respectfully kept him calm. Thank you Nurse Debbie for you kindness and humanity to him as you are a wonderful person. You are proof angels do walk amongst us.

I'm not sure why everyone complains so much about this hospital! I had a day surgery here 3 months ago and it was a great experience from when I went in to when I left. The check in process was so easy and the nurses were all so friendly and helpful. Also a big shout out to the nurse when I was in recovery who brought me food and drinks, and helped me to get dressed as I was in a cast. I wish I remembered her name, but she was honestly amazing and treated me with so much respect and dignity!

Took my wife to the emergency room and the staff there were very empathetic about her condition. They took her in quickly and had her in on medication before we knew it. They had been very helpful to do their best to make her feel comfortable. I think this hospital is very under rated. For the cost to us, it was worth the visit and care we had.

I came here at 3am with severe chest pains, within 30 minutes I was in a bed with scans and blood taken. Within 2 hours the surgeon advised me I needed to get my gallbladder out. Staff are very friendly here, the nurses have been so caring. God bless you all 🙏🏻

I can’t fault Norwest Hospital. It’s literally been a life saver. After going to a public hospital prior and waiting in Emergency for 6 hours with breathing difficulties and high fevers an chills, only to finally be seen and diagnosed with pneumonia I still was unable to get a bed and had to make my own bed out of 3 chairs as I needed to lie down on a bed, even though they had a spare bed literally sitting there, they wouldn’t allow me tto lie down I left after a horrible experience and rude staff to start the process again through Norwest Private. It was worth it. The difference was radical. Saw a triage within 30 minutes and because of my condition got a bed in ER. Continued my stay in the comfortable ward, all staff, doctors here are exceptional and the care has been incredible. Completely different experience. Even the food is great! Really appreciate everyone there and thankful to them all.

This place is understaffed, and it shows. Emergency is too noisy for patients to sleep. I was allocated Diabetic meals, and could not get that changed. I was told I would get what I get. Medication that should be locked up wasn’t, and one of the nursing staff stole some of my Seroquel. I was never given a gown, so had to sleep in the clothes I wore in. Then wear them again, and sleep in them again, the entire time I was there. I was yelled at by two of the staff, and had enough, so I left. Dreadful. Do not go here.

My brother had a fall post surgery, the nurses failed to inform us about his fall. 3 days later my brother had complication therefore taken to theatre again. Rang 4 times to speak with a nurse to check on his progress. Twice the person on the switch hang up, 3rd time transferred then the nurse on the ward hung up whist transferring my call. 4th call unanswered. Felt helpless and devastated as I couldn't inform my worried mum about my brother's status. It's very sad that so much fee is paid and yet the care is so poor.

Got admitted for a knee surgery. Post the surgery, in the orthopaedic ward, nurse Jenny took really good care of me - I can't thank her enough! The hospital needs more nurses like her. Food was decent and the hospital was clean. However, it kept getting progressively worse once nurse Jenny finished her shift. The nurses were definitely spread thin over many patients. Visitors are not allowed, except during designated visiting times, which means patients have to depend on the nurses and given the nurses seemed so overworked, it was hard to get the proper level of attention. On my second day, there were a lot of young (trainee?) nurses, and they seemed to have no idea. For example, a nurse who was changing my dressing was stressed and poking me (accidentally) with her scissors and refused to clean the area when I requested, before putting the cast back on - it is so itchy now! Another nurse abandoned me in the bathroom and was nowhere to be found. A third nurse had no idea how to remove the tube from my hand. At the end of it, I really wanted to get out. Apparently, the feeling was mutual, since the nurse on duty acted like she wanted me out the very instant and kept asking me when I would leave. Altogether, not the kind of service I would expect from a private hospital - it was so good to be home :)

I had my Hysterectomy here at Norwest Private last week on the 26/07 and cannot fault my experience. From the time I walked in the main entrance I was greeted and guided through to the the pre op ward. My anxiety was very high and the staff were great. When I was waiting to go into theatre soft calming music played and I was checked on frequently by all of the staff including the doctors. The Women's Health Ward is amazing and even during the Covid lockdown, not being able to have my family support, I didn’t once feel alone. The nurses are caring and kind and were happy to discuss my care with me. I was never told what or when I needed to do anything but instead given options and supported with my decisions. Didn’t miss my OBS once. Handover was done at the bedside and new nurse introduced even if I’d already had them. The food was fresh and not at all like hospital food. Room was spacious with plenty of storage and large windows. Bathroom was also quiet large with everything equipped for your needs. Very Clean!!! Thank you for making this part of my journey so pleasant and supportive.

The Medical staff were AMAZING! Kind and caring. I would give them a 10 if I could. They make up for everything else that was unpleasant. However the kitchen staff were incredibly rude to me. For breakfast I asked for lactose free food. I am lactose intolerant. Apparently a Midwife named May told them I am vegetarian instead. So when I saw my breakfast and said oh I can't have this milk and butter. The lady got so upset and said you don't tell me about that go tell your nurses. Couldn't tell if she was having a bad day or racists. I talked to the nurses, I later received dry bread, butter and fruits. I had my husband go but me breakfast instead. I think because of how much we pay they should at least try make it a good experience holistically, not perfect. But good.

My stay at Norwest Private Hospital was alarmingly second-rate. I went in for a thyroidectomy and was very confident of the hospital, believing it to meet Private Hospital expectation and standards. My partner had a surgery there about 7-8 years ago so I assumed it would still be good. The only positive thing that could be said, is that my surgeon Dr Ngui was great, professional and did an amazing job with my surgery. My patient experience in the surgical ward was sadly disappointing. 1. Admission Delays • Completed eHealth admission so didn’t expect it to be slow-which then impacted the time that the surgery was done. 2. Poor Quality Nurse Care, experience & skill • one nurse didn’t even realise the blood pressure machine was working while trying to take a reading. • No genuine care – came in to take routine readings, no further care or concern for patient well-being. • Not thorough – forgot to order appropriate meals, change drip to mobile bag-had to use the call button numerous times as reminders. 3. Careless Hospitality Team • soft foods marked on door-brought chicken schnitzel, corn flakes and hard toast as meals. 4. Poor & unacceptable Hygiene • Arriving in room was beyond unacceptable- bins had trash and other objects from previous patient in room. The toilets weren’t even flushed. Extra pillow had yellow stains and as leaving noticed the pillow I had slept on had blood and other stains on the flip side, which either meant it was not changed or the quality of linen being used was that bad. Will seriously be thinking twice before I go back to this hospital.

Great facilities and the staff are for the most part lovely, but I had a couple of strange encounters with the ED. I understand it’s an ED, which the patient who was clearly in severe pain was reminded of, but please keep in mind yourselves we’re all trying here and there’s no reason to scold people. COVID has been rough on us all, especially those in healthcare with all the staff shortages, but I’ve never experienced this kind of behaviour with any other ED. When it came to paying a surgery fee at the main hospital I was unnecessarily rushed. I had just filled out the forms and was alone at the time, trying to help the patient answer some questions before she went into surgery and intended to go out to pay the surgery fee after. I explained this to the receptionist at the main desk who seemed fine about it, but then had a receptionist from a different department chase me about what I already said I would do. The patient was about to go into the operating theatre, and I was just down the hall. We were also granted a refund in ED, and the receptionist in ED was extremely rude about it when I inquired if all the details were clear. She scoffed and said something along the lines of, if the details aren’t clear you’re not going to be refunded. Apparently it was only clear enough to process. The administrative staff do not seem to care at all about processing anything accurately, and the bottom line seems to be money. I would know, as I had to follow up a pathology bill where one number was off on the Medicare card and it hadn’t even been clarified if it’d be covered by bulk billing, which was in fact the case. On the other hand, thank you to the lovely receptionists at the main desk who helped locate a misplaced handbag post surgery.

My experience at Norwest Private Hospital while delivering my son was truly exceptional. The surgery team displayed outstanding professionalism and expertise, ensuring my safety and comfort throughout the process. The majority of the nurses were amazing, providing excellent care and going above and beyond to address my needs. Although the room for three people was small, it didn't overshadow the exceptional care I received. It became a funny anecdote that the TV in the room was comically small, with my tablet actually being bigger! Despite these minor quirks, I highly recommend Norwest Private Hospital for their great team and attentive care. It was an overall positive experience, and I am grateful for the exceptional care provided during this special time.

I am writing to express my utmost disappointment and profound dissatisfaction with the utterly disgraceful treatment my family and I endured at Norwest Private Hospital's Emergency Department on June 12, between 4:00 and 4:30 PM. Our visit was prompted by the urgent and distressing circumstances surrounding my mother's post-wisdom teeth removal, as she developed an alarming swelling that not only affected her eye socket but also extended menacingly towards her throat. Given the gravity of the situation and our status as concerned and emotionally overwhelmed family members, the conduct of your staff was utterly reprehensible. Upon our arrival, we were met with an abominably rude and apathetic receptionist who exhibited a complete disregard for human decency. Instead of showing the slightest ounce of compassion or empathy, her very first words were an audacious demand for payment of $390 merely to see a doctor. Not a word of solace or concern for my mother's excruciating pain; no, the receptionist's sole focus was on financial matters. This callousness was further exacerbated by her aggressive tone and the absence of eye contact throughout our distressing encounter. It is beyond comprehension how an individual in a position meant to provide comfort and care could display such utter contempt for those seeking help. Regrettably, our experience with the doctor who briefly attended to us was no less appalling. Her behavior towards my sister and i was utterly despicable, epitomizing the very definition of rudeness. Slamming the door in our faces after coldly stating that only two people were allowed in the room clearly demonstrated a complete lack of respect and basic human decency. The doctor's examination, if it can even be called that, lasted a mere couple of minutes before she callously informed us that my mother should be taken to Westmead Hospital. The entire encounter left us feeling disgusted by the flagrant absence of care, compassion, and professionalism exhibited by your staff. As a medical institution entrusted with the well-being and lives of patients, it is abhorrent to witness such a deplorable level of behavior from your employees. The priority given to financial matters over the welfare and comfort of those seeking medical assistance is not only morally repugnant but also a clear violation of the ethical principles governing the healthcare profession. I strongly demand that Norwest Private Hospital urgently reassess its entire staff and undertake comprehensive retraining to instill a fundamental understanding of how to treat patients and their families with the respect and empathy they so rightfully deserve, particularly in times of distress. Our family, already burdened by an immense level of stress and anxiety, arrived at your institution seeking solace and reassurance. Yet, we left feeling even more disheartened and emotionally wounded by the complete lack of compassion we encountered. We firmly believe that healthcare professionals have an obligation to uphold the values of compassion, empathy, and unwavering dedication to patient care—values that should form the very bedrock of the medical profession. I sincerely hope that Norwest Private Hospital takes this complaint with the utmost seriousness, conducting a thorough investigation into this incident, and implementing robust measures to prevent the recurrence of such distressing encounters. Every patient and their family should be treated with dignity, respect, and the highest possible standard of care. Failure to address these deeply concerning issues would only further tarnish your institution's reputation and cast doubt upon its commitment to the well-being of those in need.

There is no way I would return to Norwest A &E. As a private patient and from a hospital working background in management I was less than impressed. After listening to people who have had the misfortune of attending your A&E I believe your reputation is extremely bad. A couple of weeks prior to my admission I attended Westmead public hospital A&E with my grandchild which I couldn’t fault. It ran rings around your hospital. Sorry I don’t have anything positive to say.

My father was treated at Norwest Private Hospital and whilst he has since passed away, I cannot thank Dr Srikanthra and everyone who looked after Dad enough. We arrived on Christmas Day with 3 broken ribs and pneumonia. A few days in ICU Dad contracted a STAF infection which lead to Septicaemia. They were most concerned about this and treated him aggressively with antibiotics. We then had internal bleeding with stomach ulcers and then fluid on the lungs the list goes on. It was his time and his body had just had enough at the end. Everyone in the hospital was amazing and whilst Dad was not a priority due to his age he was treated respectfully and with a lot of patience. I cannot thank everyone enough for the care and respect they had for Dad.

I recently had my baby via an elective c-section here and the overall experience was positive! The surgical team were all great and made me feel at ease being my first c-section surgery. The midwives in the maternity ward were all supportive, friendly and attended to all my needs. The meals were fine for what they were, just don't go in expecting 5 star meals.

Called to ask what was the approximate waiting time to get checked as one of my relatives was in a pretty bad condition and required urgent help, the lady on the phone could only bother to tell me that the visit will be $$$ (which I did not care about), and if he required additional blood tests it will be extra $$$, and if he needs to stay overnight it will be another extra $$$$$$$, which again, does that matter if that’s an emergency?? Anyway, I told her I don’t care how much it’s going to be, can you just tell me what is the waiting time at the moment, she said “hours and hours “. For a PRIVATE emergency department? What is the difference with just going to the hospital?

Spent two nights in the Women’s Health Unit after surgery and the care I received was exceptional. The nurses were attentive, compassionate and genuinely happy to help me no matter what I needed. What could have been a very difficult and uncomfortable visit to hospital was made a lot better by Vanessa, Josie, Emma, Karen and whoever else that looked after me whose names I have forgotten. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And Dr. Naim Arrage is the best!!

We were advised to return to ED if there was ongoing pain with my 84 year old grandmothers wrist fracture. Now representing to ED, the treating doctor responds with "what would you like me to do in ED?" after we requested further investigation and review with her specialist as instructed. After the nature of the break was borderline surgical intervention (but he would know that if he asked!) we were keen to know if this was worsening the cause. The doctor wanted to give her Endone with a history of extensive constipation and was keen to discharge as quickly as possible. I had to listen to all this feedback AND I'm in the medical industry. There are far more hospitals to present to without the arrogance, ignorance and sheer stupidity from what is meant to be a trusted clinician. Heaven forbid anyone treats their family member like that one day- would love to see how they feel about it. Will ensure my family do not return as your staff are oblivious to the most important part of the job - patient centred care!

Thanks to the extremely caring Drs and nurses who looked after me during my recent admission to NWP. Although I had some health challenges during my admission, I always felt confident that I was receiving the best possible treatment. A fantastic private hospital!! Unfortunately I left a piece of medical equipment behind, and although I called within 24 hours of my discharge & admission to another hospital, it was never found… So I’m out of pocket almost $1,000 to replace it. But that was my own fault. The food was lovely, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Thanks everyone!!!

One of the best private hospitals in Sydney - Western Region. Starting from my admission till discharge, all was well organised without any stress. In-house doctors and midwives are very caring. Would recommend birth and maternity services. The staff is so prompt and courteous… they make you feel at maximum comfort. Norwest PH also serves delicious meals. Free parking is not easily available however they do have street parking available sometimes.

The worst day of my life . ICU doctors should be checked by Norwest hospital management especially the weekend doctors from Intensive care units . My name is Karwan saeed . I had an L3/L4,L4/L5,L5/S1 fusions and segment and decomposed spines , pretty much they changed my L3 all the way down on my hip.(S1) about 23 screws on my spines including changing discs and metals and correcting my spines one the 12/08/2023 on Saturday, which I appreciated these surgeons they worked on Saturday for me . The operation was about 7 hours major operation, it went well after long hours . But when they put me in ICU ( intensive care unit ) there was an Asian dr who supervised all the nurses and she worked on weekends day time and another Asian dr she work at night time .. these two Asian doctors are one of the Rudest and disgusting and disrespectful dr I ever met . I was in so much pain for 6 hours . Even nurses were felt sorry for me , she didn’t give me any painkillers, my room was right opposite her room she saw me I called her many many times I begged her to help me to give me a pain killer because half of my stomach was opened because they went through my interior to operate my spinal. She look at me and smiled and she was talking in chines she never came to helped me my heart blood pressure was 190/99 I was almost got heart attack, until one of the nurses she gave me morphine, it took me 4 hours and until the Paine settled. I will go to Norwest and I promised my self that I will make a formal complaint against those two Asian lady doctors. They absolutely disrespect and insult me in every way .. they should not work in ICU , all they were doing they were on mobile all the time playing . I even heard her she was playing game I told her instead of playing game why don’t you come check on me please .. be careful if you end up in ICU if you see these two Asian lady doctors, remember. Get ready for that tell them you not want these two doctors to check on you .. absolutely disgusting they were speaking chines they didn’t speak any English and they actually used the bad words in chine’s. Even two of the nurses were like there are many complaints against these two Asian doctors. So please Norwest go find those doctors. Talk to them they should work they should not be playing game on their mobile in ICU . Find deferent doctors who really want to help patients especially in ICU .. my name is karwan Saeed I had interior 4 levels spine surgery fusion on the weekend . Saturday 12/08/2023 . I even told my neurosurgeon about this she told me never time I will tell my patients to go somewhere else’s . These mistakes will affect Norwest hospitals. I thought they are really care about patients. But never ever go back there so not spend your money in that hospital. If management see my comment I am demanding to receive a call from Norwest to inform you more about these doctors. If you care about your services

First class service. First time as an in-patient here for a abdominal procedure. All staff I had dealings with were very courteous and professional, from the cleaners to the surgical team. Hospital staff can be busy and stressed, so if you be nice and treat them like a person, you will be treated in kind. Very happy with the procedural side of things too, with staff attentive and informative. Thanks Norwest!

My wife had surgery and an overnight stay. The registered nurses overall are very good - but limited. Plenty of under-grads who operate without leadership with rare exceptions. Pain management is delayed. Food average. Facilities 3rd world. Outside of having a baby here, go somewhere else - anywhere else.

I had my gastric sleeve surgery on the 24 April 2023. I paid for the whole treatment fully out of pocket (no insurance). I am very disappointed with my hospital stay! 1- The room (Room 376) was very hot and stuffy, no ventilation. I had complained many many times, and no solution was given to me. Every single nurse and visitor who came to see me commented on how stuffy my room was. Day after my surgery, my temperature was rising (38.5 degrees) and I was in great discomfort. It was requested that I do a blood test, which I've just learnt I have to pay $176 for. Very frustrating and I believe the hospital should pay for that. They did not find anything from my blood test, and one of the nurses had said that all patients staying on western-facing rooms had their temperatures rising. So now I have to pay $176 due to a hospital issue and not a patient issue. The nurses would open my door to let some air in, but my room was right next to the reception and I would often wake up from loud chats and laughter from the staff right outside my room. 2- The meal I was given was the wrong meal - a very bad error to make for someone who just had surgery in their stomach and need to stick to a very strict clear fluid diet. After I had a couple of bites, I thought to double check with my nurse whether I was having the right meal. I was told that gastric sleeve is a very common procedure done at Norwest, and yet they managed to get this critical detail wrong. On a positive note- the nurses that looked after me were amazing and very caring. However, after this experience, I highly doubt I will ever choose Norwest Private hospital for any future surgeries.

This review is for the Birth Unit/Maternity Ward. I recently gave birth at this hospital. Stayed for 5 days. I checked in right after my routine check up as per my OB's instruction due to being 5cm dilated. After having my baby, I lost a ton of blood that required me to stay another night at the birthing unit. And I must say, Pat, Trish, Chilly and the other midwives(sorry I missed your names) looked after me very well!! I cohldn't stay awake, so would doze off due to blood loss and I can see Pat checking me as my oxygen drops to 82. I felt her worry as if she was my mum and after her shift, i heard her say she was so tired (maybe because I gave her a fright and I can understand why) Pat, Chilly and another nurse gave me a sponge bath as I couldn't go for a shower and I had catheter. They would also make sure I'm not thristy and starving. Second night, Trish also looked after me, like Pat, I felt the mother's touch again. She would give me a toast or fruit everytime I wake up, and I think she might have even stayed overtime when I had the iron and blood transfusion at midnight. Trish offered to look after our baby on her first night. Bub stayed with Trish and team in the lobby because me and hubby were exhausted and could not care for our bub. We were really impressed with the level of their care and we could tell they love their job!! Moving to the ward, we felt the same care. Only thing I can say that needed improvement was the Breakfast, I ordered hot food every day - bacon, egg, or hot soup etc but always end up getting the bloody cereal and toast every single day, it was so frustrating 🤣 i ended up getting brekky outside. But lunch and dinner were good! The high tea was a nice touch as well. Thank you everyone you are all amazing!! I appreciate everything you have done for me and my family. Highly recommend Norwest Maternity. 5 stars is not enough on how amazing this Team is xx PS.apologies for the mess I left in the Birthing unit's ceiling hahahaha 🤣

I came in with my sister in law to do an abdominal wall ultrasound at the PRP imaging and when she came out she couldn’t stop raving on about the service provided to her by Chelsea and Supervisor Rhonda, she said it was the best experience she has ever had, professional and very calming, a great session all in all and wanted me to leave a review. Thankyou for making her experience a delight and she wishes Chelsea all the best in her career. She also commented that great future leaders come from patient and thorough present leaders who take the time to make them great.

    1. CARES ONLY ABOUT YOUR MONEY staffs ran tests before even asking and trying to charge you afterwards. The funny thing is that there is literally no incoming patients in the emergency section, yet it is still understaffed. This is because there is only ONE doctor covering each session, in a PRIVATE hospital. 2. UNFRIEDNDLY STAFFS a) Nurse interrupted patient from describing symptoms from time to time and assume they have the whole picture of what the patient is describing. Complaints of pain were met with a dimissive attitude. b) Nurses shifts all their responsibility onto their doctors, gathering in group chatting and laughing instead of attending to the needs of their patients. c)Incoming patients are left in the waiting areas and no pain reliefs were given when requested. Patients were not provided with any adequate reasons for why the promised drug are still not delivered to them. 3. PROBLEM WITH GOVERNANCE I really suggests medical students should go undercover and request medical assistance from the staffs of this private hospital, to learn about what what are the best illustrating examples of being unprofessional medical professionals. If the hospital really wants to make some profit, they do not look like they are trying to sell anything. I recommend patients to take the name of these medical professional down and describe objectively about their experiences about particular medical staff in this hospital with respect to facts and to relevant persons. Take note of the time of incident and who is on duty that day. If possible, attach the profile picture of the relevant staff to make things more specific. We all have duties to ensure our well-beings are entrusted to those who deserve such a role.

Went there with my friend with some anxiety and chest pain. They admitted us to emergency and prior to that they told us that everything will be covered by BUPA because we didn’t have Medicare, we are from overseas. The one time fee $390, and doctor’s billing fee had to be paid by us if we aren’t admitted overnight, but scans, blood tests and x-rays will be covered by Bupa. That’s what the receptionist told us prior to going in. After going in, we had to explain the same issue, allergies, etc. to 5 different doctors and nurses. Everyone in detail and exactly the same information. And everyone was writing all the details but not sharing with anyone. Quite surprising and frustrating. At last when the main doctor came, the patient was too tired already. Anyway, they ran all the tests, highly procrastinated and delayed the process a lot. At last all the tests were okay and it was due to anxiety. So they discharged us. At the reception desk while exiting, the same receptionist went back on her words and said all the tests and scans will be billed to you as Bupa doesn’t cover anything from the emergency. WOW. They didn’t ask us whether to run any test or not, didn’t tell us what’s the cost, added additional tests on top of the initial stated, and after everything told us they will be billed to us. When we confronted them, the older receptionist got soo rude and aggressive. She made claims that couldn’t be physically possible like she said she overheard the other receptionist talking to us, when she wasn’t there in the room or anywhere near. God know which superpowers she has, but definitely politeness isn’t one of those. Then we just left because there’s nothing we could do and my friend started to get another anxiety attack. I thought to go back to the doctor, but then decided not to, because they were the first reason for her anxiety raise. At the end, luckily she’s okay. But I wouldn’t recommend going to this place even to get a band-aid or anything. Now we are just waiting to get the bills and see how much they ripped us. Ps. The gown and the sheets they provided where torn and full of holes, but that can still be neglected. Pps. They didn’t even provide us the xrays and all the reports we will be paying for. So I have to go back again to deal with them. Let’s see how it goes.

Ive had two babies here and both times the midwives were absolutely wonderful. They are kind and compassionate and ready to help when you need it. Special mention for the early chilhood clinic lead by Helen - she is an absolute gem. Very knowledgeable and she is one of the reasons i had a great breastfeeding journey.

Very complicated car park experience. Not enough signage. Overall, once I actually found a lift that worked and made my way upstairs, everything was great

Gave birth at Norwest private hospital in Feb this year and have never been more disappointed in a service that I paid for. I paid for “top notch” care and this was far from that. The staff ignored my pleas for support with help breastfeeding and did not manage my pain well after an emergency c-section. I felt mocked and unheard when I asked for help with my first baby and when I was in excruciating pain, one nurse laughed and said most women are fine with the pain by now (little did she know I had an infection in the wound). My husband and I had to argue constantly for everything. The student nurse did a better job then the actual midwife’s/nurses. My husband and I went on a tour prior to going to this hospital and all I can say is, DO NOT believe what they tell you because their services after having a baby are terrible. I have recommended to all my friends having babies to stay away from this hospital. Very unimpressed and will not be having another baby at this hospital.

One of the most horrific experiences I have ever had in a hospital. Avoid this place at all costs (especially the emergency department - some of the nurses and doctors there seem far more interested in their own inflated egos and doing their makeup than actually caring for patients). There was no respect, no patient dignity, or even just basic human empathy. Instead the staff tried to guilt me for being exhausted after waiting 12 hours for care in immense pain with no food or water or pain relief (which I asked for but was not given). In the end, I felt terrified to ask for or about anything, because I was made to feel like such a burden. Maybe that was their goal all along. Even after finally being admitted to the orthopedic ward at 1am (after an x-ray where the technician was told the wrong leg to scan and 20 minutes of a doctor trying to agonisingly manipulate my dislocated knee without knowing or caring that I had a fully ruptured tendon), it was a comedy of errors. In an entire private hospital with an orthopedic wing, there was not a single leg-board to be found. I had some poor nurse just have to hold my ankle to keep my leg straight and walk backwards. The first room I was in was incredibly hot to the point I was lying in my own sweat and had to repeatedly beg to be moved (after they brought in an 'air conditioner' that was actually an air purifier with a change filter warning blowing hot air in my face). More often than not, you were treated by students who were completely unsupervised. At night, staff often left the door wide open despite you asking for it to be closed, meaning it was nearly impossible to get any sleep with all the noise. In general the hospital equipment (blood pressure machines, IV machines, air conditioning, etc.) routinely failed to work. The nurses were horrifically understaffed. The paperwork for my surgery was done incorrectly. I was hurt more often than not because staff failed to properly support my recently operated leg. The physio apparently cleared me to leave (despite me being unable to walk) but also completely neglected to tell me that fact. I had also accidentally been given too many painkillers in too short a span of time, which forced me to stay an extra day in hospital to be monitored. Genuinely, the safest I felt at this 'private' hospital was in the overcrowded carpark, because I was leaving. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I recently had a 3 night stay in CCU for a heart condition and procedures. The check in process was easy with friendly staff and service. The nursing staff were very professional and helpful throughout my stay. The food was fresh and a very good standard. The cleaners were also friendly and did a thorough job. Overall I think the hospital and staff are very good.

😠 I'd recommend reaching to this facility 30 mins past your appointment time. I have been here several times the receptionist told there is only 1 person ahead of us however I have had to wait for about an hour. Was wondering how can they run so late, turns out the doctor has been calling the patient...

😠 Receptionists are terrible. Very unhelpful, unfriendly, and reactive. Don't accept feedback and if you complain, they will argue against you. No empathy whatsoever. If you are unlucky and sit far away from the doctor's room (they don't tell you what room to go), you will never hear the doctor callin...
