ive been there for waiting an hour for the doctor. The nurse working today at the waiting room is funny. Her attitude isnt serious when im in emergency. She is very much alive. It is no joke. She keep She is not serious when im talking to her. She is very much alive. She is still teasing me when im mentioned about her attitude. Ive been there at 6am today talking to her on the 10th january. The way she talked to me made me left the hospital with my serious pain. No empathic.

hand was fractured hence the visit to ER. unfortunately was not a pleasant experience. the processes were not made clear. it almost felt like the staff members have minimal communication among themselves. the information i received was inconsistent. i was told different information by many different staff. ended up spending more hours to wait for incorrect info and was then sent home. hand was left unattended (no cast, buddy strap was done roughly) and was referred to hand clinic the following day but as expected, calls were not picked up to make an appointment. verdict: could not make an appointment. headed to Sydney Hosp instead. unexpected disastrous service. though, props to staff member named Bruno C. at ER, who was very attentive, helpful, professional & patient.

O m f g Probably sums up our experience but I want to be fair in my review: Emergency department is the best of the WORST bunch (3 hours wait compared to say 6 hrs at westmead). Since when did australia become like this? Nurses' attitude r nicer too. BUT (big BUT), the emergency department didnt give my wife an IV when i asked them like 6 times she needs one (breast feeding infection). They gave it to her after a 3 hr wait, but then forgot to refill. Later we found out this was when her blood pressure was 82 over 60? (Or 50, im not doctor) - which apparently is VERY low When we got to admission ward at 6am (got to ED at 8pm), the nurse (Katrina) was shocked my wife didnt have an IV attached and told us it was very dangerous not to have an IV when blood pressure was so low. Katrina went ballistic on our behalf and thankfully everything is settled for now. She has been an absolute god send (thank u again) Conclusion: emergency department in sydney is where u r more likely to die than survive if u have a real emergency (im being hyperbolic but im sure u can relate)

After a bit of a stressful morning, the smooth and efficient way the emergency staff handled the situation was a relief. Peter who handled the admission was incredible. All the nurses had great humour and made sure we were as informed as we could be. Thank you to all who helped us, it’s fantastic to know that we are in such capable hands.

I went to the emergency room with my friend that was unable to breathe properly from nasal congestion and had chest pain and scared to drive us home since it was unsafe They went to do administrative work followed by a PCR and RAT test and was told to wait for results to be seen by a doctor 2 hours have passed and we had asked how much longer it would be and they simply said that the doctor has chosen us as their patient and we have to wait. An hour more has passed and we had asked how the wait was. They said the same thing and told us to wait. We decided to leave and told the emergency nurse we were leaving and she proceeded to say that “your case is not really an emergency”. She was working at 9pm 16 april. Had the audacity to say that as an emergency nurse

Disgusting service of this Asian male nurse, who yelled at a female patient outside the emergency department for no reason, I can't imagine a hospital like this using such a rude person, he should be reported

To be honest, I went into the ER at 11:15am expecting rude staff and huge wait times, etc. and that was not my experience at all. Within half an hour I was seen by a triage nurse, another half hour after that I was seen by a doctor, given pain meds, and placed in a different waiting room where I would be more comfortable. I spent a couple of hours resting there before I was moved to a ward and then by 4pm I was taken in for surgery. I spent one night in the ward and was taken care of so well. Every single nurse/doctor/custodian/staff member was so kind, helpful, and compassionate. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before, so the fact that the staff did everything possible to make sure I was looked after meant so much to me during an otherwise traumatic experience. Big thank you to every ED/Surgical/Ward 7 staff member working on the 3rd/4th of March!

Didn’t realise how terrible this emergency service could be until I experienced it with one of my family members recently. Don’t even know what to say about it! Just absolutely ridiculous!

The waiting time is just ridiculous. They have a “customer officer” asking around whether they can help, didn’t quite get the point, feels like a pointless service.

Horrible service. I waited there for five hours in pain while people came later than me had earlier access to the doctors. Absolutely disgusting! I am not coming back there and I suggest you shouldn’t too.

I can certainly appreciate that the hospital staff are very busy, but it is totally frustrating when you finally get through to the main phone line to the hospital, which, in itself is a marathon to say the least. You finally get through to someone who puts you through to the section you want, to only have the phone ring out. This happened four times. This morning I have called six times trying to get through to find out how my elderly father is. I have spent the last forty five minutes calling various numbers. The last phone call I was put through only to have it ringing for over one hundred times. It rang continually for over 15 minutes. In the end I hung up. I called 9515 6000 only to have that number ring out. It is now 10am and I still am not able to find out how my father is. What does one need to do to get through.

Rpa was my favourite hospital.not the best experience this time. A long waiting to treat my daughter's burn. Only one paediatric doctor can put dressing on and they run out stocks. We asked if they should apply burnt cream, i was told no need as i was stupid. A few days later, GP checked the wound and was shock that RPA did not apply burnt cream..

Attended the ED for an elbow fracture and was extremely impressed with all of the staff and the speed of the process. I was out within 2 hours and each stage was handled very efficiently. The doctors and nurses are friendly and competent, I’m so appreciative of the care I was given.

I had a good experience here. All staffs took care me well. The GP was so nice. I’m so glad that I went there to have a treatment. Not taking too long to wait.

If I can give no star, I will. Terrible service and long hours waiting. No joking been waiting for more than 3 hours and still haven't been treated. They should not call it Emergency Department, as it's not Emergency at all. People will die while waiting the treatment that never come.

this hospital killed my grandfather! they gave him too much walfren for too long then asked him to do exercises lifting his body weight . Due to the walfren he bled internally from the walfren thinning his blood and organs. I saw him cough up blood after they forced him to lift himself up with that triangular hanging thing above the bed. he went in with a cough and never made it out ! i wish he never went there

It took a while…but the quality of care and the standard of human interaction was extremely high…I had a dermatological problem dealt with so well…thank you …part of the care plan was making an appointment with Dermatology outpatient clinic…went today and the treatment was so bad…rude rude receptionist…so very rude and ignorant…don’t ask questions…just do as you’re told…rude rude rude…as opposed to ED who were brilliant…shame on you outpatients department Gloucester House…shame on you !!! I left without seeing anyone…couldn’t risk the low low standard of care !!!!

RPA Emergency Department is useless when it comes to psychotherapeutic help.

I visited them with my sick wife 66 who suffer kidney low filtration plus heart issues congenital plus diabetes, the last time was 2015 according to them , my wife was operated there in 2001 by David Celermajer very successful operation , on 16/6/21 I drive all the way from Liverpool for a better outcome I arrive 12:30 drop my wife on ER I found them approachable kind , helpful , was little waiting time eventually we see one ER doctor he give us something to calm the itchy he do some blood tests etc we depart about 7 pm all the way home , improvement is possible, all can improve after all , we see them next time , the ER doctor was okay I think they do need government financial assistance to keep good services, some complicated patients may need to be admitted to be investigated in complex situations, especially when kidneys fail and person feels worse with multiple complications, possibly they have no enough beds to assist , but are pioneers in many ways , I personally no feel same in other hospitals as I do feel in RPA I found them wise enough life saving and I do drive 36 kilometres to be there , the staff are kind and do the best they can
