Such a fantastic veterinary practice! All the staff are wonderful and it’s always easy to get an appointment. My dogs, Aari and Loki, see Dr. Cameron there. He is incredibly knowledgeable, always very gentle with my puppers and is so lovely. He never rushes appointments, spends time answering questions (I always have loads, sorry Dr. Cameron!), listens to concerns and gives great advice/recommendations. My boy Loki, in particular, has a number of serious health conditions and on a recent visit, Dr. Cameron took one listen to my boy’s breathing and sent us straight to an emergency vet where he was diagnosed with laryngeal collapse (he had been to another veterinary practice earlier that week and had just been put on antibiotics). We are sadly moving out of the Inner West but just want to thank Dr. Cameron and his team for the wonderful care they have given my fur babies!

I can't speak highly enough about Dr Cam and the team at Marrickville Vet Hospital. They always take the time to listen to my questions and give me advice and support to ensure that my 2 year old Cavoodle Lucy is in the best of health. Last year Lucy needed an operation on her knee (if she was human I'd say she had a knee reconstruction) and I was really impressed with the care we both got, from the time spent explaining what was wrong and how it was affecting her health and the options available, to the care she got whilst she was there, the phone calls and emails I received during her recovery and the followup care. She is again a very happy little girl that just loves nothing more to be running and jumping, and chasing the ball.

I initially brought my kitten in for a check up because he had a weird infection in his eyes. Once I stepped into this clinic I was holding my Kitten and waiting for 15 minutes before being seen. Once seen by the vet she informed me she wasn’t sure what he had it could be cat flu. Her advice for my cat was to just be left to overcome what he had on his own when he is a baby. I was charged when all that was done was a quick look no medication was given nothing. Just told he might have cat flu which is not a proper diagnosis. After this my kittens eyes had gotten progressively worse I started to get worried. I took my kitten to a new vet called vet central in Earlwood. Where he was finally diagnosed with a bacterial infection. The vet was also shocked no plans were made for deworming as he could also get sick if this was prolonged. Ever since he stepped foot in that vet he has gotten progressively better, and I’m very happy with those results. My final review of this vet, I am not happy with their service how much I was charged and the minimal to no care that was given to my kitten. I will not be coming back here and do not recommend any one to come here.

I changed vet to Marrickville Vet Hospital a few months ago and could not be happier. My cat has had three appointments with Dr Rob and he has been fantastic. He has guided me through the process for diagnosing and treating my cat’s asthma. I have felt well informed throughout the process. Rob is always patient and friendly answering every question I have. When my cat had to stay a day for X-rays it was clear that every care was taken to ensure he was comfortable. Follow up care to monitor his treatment progress has been great. I really appreciate that I am able to see the same vet each visit. While cost was not a factor in my decision to change vets Marrickville Hospital has been significantly more affordable than my previous vet. I have since recommended Dr Rob to friends who have been equally happy with his care of their puppy.

We have been taking our cats here for over a year, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. You can tell they genuinely love and care for the animals, and their jobs. One of my cats has a relatively rare genetic condition, and the vet was so interested over it - he remembers my cat the next times we visit. It warms my heart to see other people care about animals as much as I do.

Edit: initially I gave this place a 1 star review and didn’t expect coming back. However, Cameron the vet got in touch after this negative experience and I felt that he handled the feedback with kindness and care. I gave them another try and was pleased with the care provided to my cat. Would I recommend? Considering how a negative experience turned into a positive one, yes.

Dr Cameron, Dr Sam and the rest of the team are outstanding. They truly care about what is in the best interest of your pet, but also understand other factors such as $ that need to be weighed up. Their consultations are so thorough, the followup process is incredible - detailed post care instructions, check-in emails to ensure that the pet is recovery well and complimentary post procedure checks. They truly care about pet and pet-parent alike. The best veterinary experience you could hope for.

It's our first time to visit this clinic . My wife and I are desperate to find a vet who is available to see our sick dogs after hours as we both have a very busy working schedule. It was by chance that I googled the clinic and spoke to Michelle who was very accommodating and said that she will check with the vet first as they are quite busy . Luckily for us Michelle advised that the vet can see us at 7:30pm which initially I wasn't 100% sure if we can do it as I was still driving on my way home from Randwick but I took the chance . Cameron the Vet saw our 2 dogs . He was very good , gentle and very accommodating the best Vet so far that we came across since we came back from port macquarie where my wife was practising her general practice . We are definitely going back to see Cameron and in fact we have indicated if it's ok with him to be our dogs Vet . We definitely recommend this vet clinic and in particular to ask for Cameron . Today we have found a small bird drenched in water from heavy rains, it was weak and frightened, also had some aluminium red tags on its feet. We have called WIRES and they referred us to a vet in Kogarah whom refused to take the bird because of the tags, saying we have to find the owners ourselves via Facebook!! Then RSPCA directed us to the Marrickville Vet whom without any hesitations told us to bring the bird in!! After filling out some paperwork they had taken care of it 🙏🙏🙏🙏!! You guys are amazing and your compassion is beautiful!! Hoping the bird is healthy and safe, and that it will be reunited with its owners!! God bless you!! xxx

My husband and I just recently adopted 6 months kitten. Veterinarian was honest and generous, telling us that our kitten is very healthy, no worm/flea/fungus. He is also knowledgeable and informative about pets insurance. I highly recommend this vet to all pet's owners.

A wonderful veterinarian practice in the heart of Marrickville. Dr. Cameron and his lovely team took such good care of my senior dog who needed dental work. The team here are highly skilled in what they do and were patient with me in addressing concerns without judgement. They made sure he had a comfortable recovery and I can’t express my gratitude to them enough. I will continue to bring my pets here and would recommend this practice to all my family/friends. Could not speaker higher of the team here. I followed Dr Rob from AMS Kingsford because of the amazing care & treatment both my cats Sooty & Simba(asthmatic) have received from kittens. If your looking for skilled, knowledgeable vets look no further, Dr Cam is also fantastic. The practice has always been kind enough to fit us in for emergency visits.

Definitely don't recommend this vet. - Vet doesn't listen when it comes to advising what has and hasn't worked for our pet in the past. - Pushes medication where repeatedly is told it has already been used and hasn't worked. This visit felt like a huge waste of my time, I feel this clinic is more about the $$ than the pets wellbeing.
