1- please change the chairs in the waiting room. One person sits down the whole row of chairs move. 2- Love the car park cannot fault it. 3- staff were nice however I did not stay there till 4am in the morning to get done what my GP could have done for me. If someone is in pain, having short of breath, fast heart rate, you look further.

Had a baby at this hospital in March earlier this year and I'm still traumatized from it. Please avoid having your baby here as it horrible with lack of staff and women forced to have labor in ward without gas. They induced me 4 weeks early with this gel that takes forever to bring on full Labour. This experience I had there still effects me when I felt a doctor stick two fingers in my cervix that hurt but when she spread them it was the worst pain imaginable...I just keep screaming and I'm usually good with pain and she kept doing it. After that I couldn't stop crying and the doctor felt guilty and told me they usually did what ever she did to me under gas. After 3 days I begged for a c section which they told me I was making a terrible decision and putting my baby in danger but after 3 days trying to bring on full labor I had enough and had a terrible feeling something wasn't right. They finally approved the c section and took 10 goes to get the epidural right....each time I felt the full epidural and my back is stuffed up now. My daughter was too small to push out naturally being early so I made the right call and clearly shown they almost put my baby in danger if I didn't push for c section. Half of the staff are rude and the other half over worked from lack of staff. A iv popped out of my arm the day after my c section and woke up to arm looking like a balloon and hospital bracelet cutting into mt skin. Since my experience I have a phobia of anyone going near my lady part and terrified to get a pap or ever have sex again. So thanks Fairfield hospital for the horrible experience , you couldn't even let me enjoy my visitors in the allocation visitor hours because you decided that my following check up must be the time I told you my only visitor's were coming and I really needed my friends.

My brother was involved in a car accident last night. Resulting in his airbag to go off. His vehicle was sandwich between other vehicles. So it wasn’t just a little bump. He waited at the hospital for 9 hours to be seen by a doctor just for them to just give him a blood alcohol test. When he wasn’t the cause of the accident!! No wonder people leave hospital and go home and die!! Yes the hospital was busy last night, but what they couldn’t even give him a scan to make sure everything is ok? Didn’t even check the burn on his arm. This place is a joke!

I was sitting there while this poor guy next to me was involved in a accident… had blood gashing out from his throat with glass stuck in his skin. Only to be told “dont worry about it sir it will be fine there is alot of paperwork we are trying to go through and trying our best to get as many people as we can in” HOW DISGUSTING CAN YOU BE !! I can guarantee you if that was one of your family members they would get treated straight away.

Very rude staff! You are better off getting treated at the vet as they treat you like animals. We were waiting to be seen from 7:30pm - 1:30am and still have not been seen as the wait time was ridiculous when you ask the staff for the wait time is they will only turn around and say “I don’t know when you’ll be seen “ in an aggressive tone. They are so rude and extremely slow!

Fairfield hospital is an absolute joke. My 11yr old daughter was not allowed entry because she is unvaccinated. They expect me to leave her at the front of the hospital by herself at night while I visit my father. It is not compulsory to be jabbed. They need to wake up and let family in vaxxed or not.

This hospital is by far one the most disgusting inhumane hospitals I have seen, i was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday morning was left in the waiting room no pain meds no antibiotics no fluids, in a wheel chair for hours and doctors didn’t even bother to see me! I was suffering with severe migraine weekness in limbs, unable to look at light and they just gave me Panadol and told me to sit out the pain. The workers and ambulance drivers and doctors there are the worst humans iv ever seen, I hope god doesn’t leave anyone in their care!

Emergency Dept is always busy. It helps if staff are more friendly/polite. People are there because they're unwell. It would help a great deal if staff are more empathetic with patients. More training in that regard would go a long way to calming people down, instead of being talked to like they're a nuisance. So many signs telling us to treat staff with respect. Treating patients with respect is also very important in this environment as well 🙏 If people have a choice, they wouldn't be there.

My experience is do not go to Fairfield Hospital. I went 26Sep21 and I had appendicitis. Yes, a blood test been done & they said they sent it to Liverpool hospital, but they did not show me the result. I did a urine test by the nurse. In seconds, I stayed for 7 hours and they did not know the cause of my right pain from the lower side. My stomach and I was sent to my family doctor on 27 Sep in the morning who did CTSCAN for me and it turned out that it was very inflamed appendix and they operated on me at Liverpool Hospital on the same day.. I am very upset with Fairfield Hospital for their poor services recently

If I could give this hospital a 0 I would, the worse hospital ever, I take my daughter to emergency who is complaining of chest pains and breathing problems only to be told to wait in the waiting room because there is a 4-5hr wait and there's nothing they could do to help because there's only 1 doctor working. Then when we do finally get seen only to be told nothing's wrong and to go see my gp the next day. Poor service from the reception aswell no help at all

The hospital was the worst of everything. My father had a wound in his foot, a very deep wound. Huh, he was bleeding terribly, and his condition was getting worse every minute. He was 20 minutes late. When they arrived, they were slow. I had had enough and had run out of patience and then I told them to hurry up, they went and said we will not help. I hope if I punish them for this. I can’t believe that the person who helps people does this what kind of people are they

My daughter had the bad luck to end up in this hospital. Staff there is rude esp those of sub continent origin. No bedside manners or empathy towards patients. The overall review score speaks volume on this hospital. Not too sure when these people learn that they are there to serve not the other way round. Is there anyone to take note? I can provide names.

One star is too high to be awarded. If you are a RN looking to work at this hospital, do yourself a favour and don't!! This hospital has a bullying culture which is supported by the executive department. If you are a patient and wonder what's with the poor service it's because they have a huge lack of staff due to the high turnover because of bullying. If you complain about being bullied they are the type to write in your file "difficult to work with". So if you're a patient, staff know that they don't have to help you because your complaints will fall on deaf ears too. There's a reason why Fairfield Hospital is always hiring, because no one wants to work there. Be that person who doesn't want to work there. It's the best choice if you value your mental health and want to remain in your profession.

Congratulations to all the dedicated staff members working tirelessly on Emergency Days, specifically on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. I am deeply impressed and sincerely appreciative of their exceptional care, not only towards me but also towards all the other patients. May God bless each and every one of you.

As someone who understands the NSW Health RITE values and adopt this everyday, I couldn't believe how the majority of the employees throw their core values in the rubbish bin. The staff and nurses should in fact not be given any further raises until their integrity to provide a service are met with a high standard. However the doctors and radiologist deserve much more respect and praise as they instil their duties accordingly, thank you to all the Radiologist and Doctors. Fortunately for the staff and nurses that I dealt with I didn't catch their names, as I was too busy ensuring the saftey of my sibling, otherwise I would've named and shamed of how my sibling was treated in an emergency ward and while received via ambulance transport. I'm absolutely shocked and in disbelief how the staff would actually say "you will die" regardless of the situation. That person has no qualifications nor the capacity to do their job correctly. I now understand why private health and private hospitals are being snatched up by everyone as you cannot put a price on health. Never stepping foot inside this hospital, if you have the chance to go somewhere else or even a private hospital and pay the fee do it!!

Antenatal clinic and birth unit. For every 20 staff members there is only one with a conscience to provide good health care instead of being an enforcer of malpractice directed by NSWHealth and the hospital's management. It is obvious when you come across a midwife who is making it up as they go along claiming you have a condition with NO evidence just to get compliance, a box ticked and self satisfaction or brownie points with management they were able to enforce a 'policy' (aka a procedure where it is so "crucial" and so "life dependant" that other hospitals don't even practice it). They will constantly contradict themselves in sentences, i.e insist you get a growth scan, the scan comes back with the baby measurements as average, that same midwife will then say scans are useless its crucial you have an induction incase the baby is big. if scans are useless why did you bring 3 staff members to surround me and coax me into having a scan and induction. They are only useless now because the results didn't suit your narrative? When you make an inform decision and decline to have a test done they will lie and say you won't be allowed to leave or they cannot provide you help if something does happen. Isn't a threat to refuse medical treatment in an emergency against the law? But to avoid the further debate you submit and agree to a test after intense pressure and counselling to do so because they "won't release you" otherwise. When the test confirms that you were not at risk/negative etc. they will then still continue to pressure you to follow policy" for your own 'safety' and agree to the intervention/medication. What? Take a medication or have intervention for something that you don't have? If you are well informed and well educated in these affairs you will easily see right through what is really going on. They treat you like a criminal for not agreeing to high intervention. Let me tell you when I allowed a public hospital to have freedom of control of my pregnancy and labor it was barbaric for me and my baby. We were both left worse off and with birth injuries. With my other baby when I made a decision based on facts it was a good healthy pregnancy and birth. Go figure!

Next day didnt get any better so we took him to liverpool hospital. 1 bloody day later. They said his ears arent even that bad. He has a throat infection pneumonia and may need a blood transfusion. A big shout out to Carina, a beautiful midwife, who helped me deliver my 4kilo baby without tearing. I cannot thank her enough for her positivity and wise knowledge she brought into my labour and birth. I’d like to give another shout out to Ciggy, you made the home stay postpartum visit feel comfortable, and you brought such a bubbly presence with you. Cannot thank them both enough and highly recommend Fairfield hospital for all birthing and maternity services.

Gave birth here last year. My midwife was great! Postpartum experience not so great. NOT EVERY MOTHER CAN BREASTFEED! Nurses need better training when it comes to breastfeeding. I was asking for formula top ups as my baby was hungry and very unsettled. Nurses like to push breastfeeding but don’t consider that not all mothers can breastfeed. My poor baby was starving. Turns out after I left there I hired a lactation consultant who told me I had a very low milk supply. Baby was so much happier once I completely switched him to formula.

I am sharing my review and I am changing it from 1 star to 5 stars. This is all because of a nurse that is working on Ward 2B Nuguen Pham. My mum had knee surgery and prior to that I have to say that the admin is quite underwhelming. However, the treatment provided by Nuguyen Pham to my mother has been outstanding. He's gone above and beyond to help her. Dear Fairfield Hospital this nurse should be rewarded with whatever reward system you have in place. He's an excellent example to what a nurse should be. He has empathy, compassion, attention to detail and amazing patience. Dear Nuguyen Pham, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking care of my mother.

As a private patient I was admitted into a private room in ward 2B room 22 for one night only. The second day I was moved to a shared room in ward 2B/ room one/ bed one. The shared room was very disgusting, dirt everywhere on the floor, insects walking around and on the walls freely, the toilet smells so bad and in miserable condition even worst than the train station toilets. So sad to see our hospital in this condition!! It looks like no one is incharge about that. I had to call the manger Mr Paul Crowe to lodge a complaint, but he didn’t come or answer my call even though I left my mobile to call me back. His secretary came and witnessed the miserable condition of the shared room. I have requested to him lodge a complaint against the ward manger in Ward 2B, she promised to do so.

Worst hospital, I had meningitis and they left me to suffer for 6 hrs. With no treatment, after a doctor wrote me an urgent letter to see a dr asap. They laughed at me and said u don’t have what u think u have. But how would a a nurse know. I’ve had it 4 years ago, it can come back. Meningitis is fatal and can make Ur limbs not work eg disabaled. Worst hospital. I’ll sue them.

My sixteen year old had an operation on Wednesday, need to go in today to see the surgeon but my five year old is with me and she can't go in, but mind you last year during an out break it was fine, so now I can't go in with him to see if anything is wrong, or what he needs to do, this whole plandemic is a joke, just wanted to push their experimental jab into everyone, so they use a virus with a 99% survival rate. 🤦‍♀️

There is very long waiting for no emergency patients. When there is someone in Hospital, before you go to the wards, you need to check in. Very nice people working there. They help you if you need help. Parking is Not free. IT will cost $7 to park there if you Park for more than 3 hours. As the first 3 hours are free. I was there more than 10 hours and paid $7,then in another time was 4 hours and paid$7. So is worth paying the $7 as it gives you value for money.

Outpatient services are a joke. They're located out the back in demountables. Limited seating and huge waits. Lucky the specialists and staff are top notch. Parking is ridiculous too. Never any empty disabled parking (half the time they're taken by those without stickers) so i have to always park right up the top and carefully try and hobble downhill without falling. On the plus side, parking is only $7 which is so much cheaper than the majority of hospitals in sws area.

I have an operation scheduled for later in May and received a call whilst I was at work. Called the hospital back when I had some free time and was answered with a completely rude operator who didn't even give me the opportunity to speak and hung up the call halfway through the call. Her entire attitude was so off-putting and didn't even try to pretend to assist.

I was at the dental services today. Staff are lovely however computer system was unreliable. 2 and half hours later went into hospital to get card validated so I didn't have to pay for parking. The front lady told me I have to leave within 15 minutes of validating card. As I drove through the gates it did not let me leave. Requested $7.00. I couldn't be bothered after that so I paid. Misleading and annoying

If you ever wanted to know what it is like to give birth and then be welcomed into the Pitts of hell… have a baby at Fairfield and stay in maternity ward 2D. the birthing unit was ok but the ward is where dreams go to die and nurses number one goal is to make sure you leave with postpartum depression. Do yourself a favour and try to go anywhere but here! Nasty nurses and a very dirty place I saw the same dirty Band-Aid and towel in the shower facility all 4 days I was there. They will not help with anything except be rude. Especially the lady in the polo behind the desk in the day with the glasses. ROSA was a really nice midwife though and so helpful.

Well, my experience was with receptionists. One of the receptionists was very rude and disrespectful to me, she was so egotistical and unpleasant to talk to. She was using harsh and heart breaking language with me without me even arguing with her, I came to the hospital in an emergency for my grandmother, the receptionist was asking me some questions about my grandmother's Medicare card and phone numbers for emergency, then she asked me about her home address, I forgot the exact address and told her that I will try and get it to her later, but she looked at me and told me:"you are so rude." Then I said:"what? I'm not being rude I just forgot the exact home address." Then she replied to me saying:"I will not waste my time arguing with you". What kind of customer service is this? I am a person in emergency, my grand mother was anxious and breathing heavily, she was not in a good condition. She kept saying: "you are rude" throughout the hole scene. I work and pay taxes, and that is how I get treated in public hospitals😔

Tried to call to speak to them a dozen times, each time took a long time to get thru, only to be hung up on or dismissed. When I asked to speak to a senior in regards to this phone went dead. How convenient. My daughter attended last week have been trying to contact them ever since. The manner in which she was attended to last week was something out of a horror movie. Leaving her in a state of shock and pain, which so easily dismissed by the attending who saw her. Then shufffled out the door like she didn’t matter. No pain relief, no care, just disgusting behaviour by what are supposedly specialists. Inhumane is all I can say. Not happy especially due to the fact they do not make appointments or take calls with any professional manner.

Terrible service, Indian doctor we had was slow and unresponsive to arising issues/problems. Misdiagnosed my health problem and discharged me in a rush. Had to come back the next day for the same extremely painful issue. The doctor I had didn't seem sure of himself and had to consult with a higher chain of comand for a small issue. Even on empty days the staff are unavailable or busy, no where to be found when needed. Emergency reception is excellent though.

DONT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR MENTAL HEALTH HELP. THEY WILL LEAVE YOUR FAMILY TO DIE. I attempted to take my sister in to get help with medication after instructions from the mental heath team. During COVID there are no doctors open. She was required by them to go get a script. THEY REFUSED to see her until I forced them to triage her but by then she already had a panic attack and absconded DUE TO THEIR TREATMENT. Instead of treatment she met judgement. I WONDER HOW MANY SUICIDES IS NSW DUE YO FAIRFIELD HOSPITAL NOT TAKING MENTAL HEATH SERIOUSLY AND BLANKLY REFUSING TO SEE HER. (they obviously don't know anything because when a mental heath team comes around it's not a team of doctors and thats what they expect)

I was scared of having my baby at Fairfield because of all the negative reviews however my experience was the complete opposite of what I had heard. I was very happy with all my appointments at the antenatal clinic, all the midwives I had appointments with were very friendly and helpful. At the time of my birth, the midwives present were super professional and supportive. The care I received was well above my expectations. Considering I had my first baby at Liverpool and I had a very pleasant experience there, I would say my experience at Fairfield was about the same, or maybe even better.

I can only speak for the Hand Clinic. And they were excellent from start to finish when I broke my hand last year. While the clinic was always very busy I felt that the doctors and hand therapists were always focused and caring. I have since made as good a recovery as could be expected with the damage I did, and am appreciative of their efforts in this process.

My experience at Fairfield Hospital, particularly with midwife Mai Bui, was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we interacted, her rudeness was evident. Despite our valid concerns about decreased fetal movements and previous visits for the same issue, Mai Bui displayed a shocking lack of empathy and understanding. Instead of providing the care and support we needed, she became irate, especially when we didn't call beforehand, even though we were never instructed to do so. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also deeply distressing for patients who are already dealing with a stressful situation. Fairfield Hospital needs to address such issues promptly to ensure other patients don't have to endure similar mistreatment.

Slow...slow...too slow and always says short of staff. But even not that busy but still have to wait at least 5hours. I saw they had more staff then patients waiting but still don't understand why took so long. I worked in the medical field so i know clearly what i am saying.

Over 8 years, I had plenty of good experience at Fairfield hospital. Never had to wait long compared to other hospitals. All nurses and doctors are awesome and friendly. Once my daughter was so sick, took her to Westmead children's hospital. Got there 5pm and decided to leave at 10pm without being seen. Fairfield was on the way so I decided to try it there. Within 15 mins we're inside and been looked after well.

I had a hip replacement in Dec 2022, then my second hip replacement on Nov 2023. Overall the staff are terribly disorganised in the pre-op tests , doctors not there , wrong x-rays written , Anesthesiology almost never there. If I told my full extent of rubbish put on me before the ops it will take to long , so let's talk about after the opp which was quiet absurd. The surgical staff are professional and excellent no complaints lucky to have them , then you get to your ward and kept awake all night long by staff who can't seem to understand the main healing point after surgery is good rest , rude , noisy night staff who would not hold a job anywhere if the govt wasnt desperate, this hospitals night staff and there skills would leave me no option but to recommend nobody ever goes there for longer than one night , cheers

I want to highly commend the Doctors, theatre staff. Periop staff, nurses, radiographers, porters, cleaners, admin staff and especially the amazing nurses on Ward 2B. My 3 day admission became a 12 day stay due to complications with my major surgery. I received the utmost care on 2B the nurses although run off their feet always answered my buzzer with a kind word and a smile always giving me help and reassurance. The Doctors were constantly checking on my progress and keeping me up to date. Ward 2B staff including the kitchen staff and cleaners you should all be proud of the work you do. A truly caring wonderful team. Thank you for making me better. God Bless you all

To be parents for the first time is highly stressful and once in a life time experience! However, our journey of being parents here at Fairfield hospital was so smooth and enjoyable. Every doctors, midwives nurses and associated people made our journey so easy beyond our expectation even during Christmas long holiday. We are really thankful to all of you for giving us such a joyful experience. We would highly recommend Fairfield Hospital Birthing and Maternity units to new would be parents.

I remember the time my cat bit me really hard on my wrist and there was a lot of blood pouring out. We had to rush to the hospital and I explained to the nurse in the waiting emergency room that I think it went through my important artery and I think I’m gonna die, she told me to wait and sit down and I literally waited 6 HOURS. The doctor who treated me I needed stitches and I was lucky for not dying since I was 3cm away from my important artery.

The hand clinic physio therapy were so kind and patient as my injury was very bad and took 6 months to be better. Hayley was unbelievable and the doctor who fixed my hand was the best. I'm very grateful they gave me my hand back 💓😘😃 Thank you Michael Cachia

My husband and I both found ourselves , on two separate days this week, for two different reasons. Both for acute pain. The doctors, nurses and staff at this hospital never stop. They work so hard. They are kind considerate and skilled. We can not speak more highly of their team spirit and professionalism. Thank you all for taking care of us and a special thanks to Allan and Chris the ambulance men who took my husband to emergency on Tuesday the 16 th . I was privy to every service I needed on the day and referrals to other services for follow up .👏👏🤗😎

Called at least 4 times never showed up they don’t even deserve a single star and the staff are bloody cold they don’t care about the patients

Horrendous treatment, sat at the clinic for 6 hours with glass in my hand only to be turned away and to "deal with the pain until they can find a time to call back to book surgery". Worst hospital in NSW.

It’s the worse hospital i’ve ever seen. Poor patient care. Patient waiting for hours in the emergency to be called by the doctor and nobody called, some people got bored from waiting and leave without any treatment.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. had my appointment at 11:45am at the hand clinic.. waited until 1:30pm. When I asked what is going on, the staff rudely said it is what it is. Rubbish clinic rubbish staff rubbish hospital. Absolutely embarrassing. Felt like I was in a third world country with a bunch of clowns running a circus.

Slowest walk in covid clinic I’ve been to. They seemed not well organised. It took me 1hr 15mins to get tested. Looked like about 10 people were in front of me. Nurse explained we couldn’t wait under covered seated area until they registered us. So had to wait outside on lawn area. Because previously they let everyone wait in the seated area and a fight broke out & had to call police. It’s sad-our health workers are already strained with their workload and they also have to deal with idiots too.

Last month I had my baby there. And the staff and midwife’s were so polite and came to you when needed. I didn’t have any problems with anything. They are there to help and support you. For every reason your there.

Went to fairfield hospital for my birth and i was nervous at first about going there however it was a good experience. The nurse i had Carley was absolutely incredible, she stayed an hour past her shift to see the birth through to the end. I had to get an episiotomy but the other nurse that sewed me up did such a good job and i had no swelling. Its truely the nurses that make the hospital. But i can't thank Carley enough for all she did for me. Now i have a healthy little baby 😊

Everyday they only provide Covid Test for the first 300 people. So be prepared that they might turn you away if you come after 8am because by that time all number would have been given out. We came before 8am and queued for almost 3 hours. But there were still more or less around 100 people waiting in line (under the hot sun). Super sloww…😪

After putting a grinder through my hand the doctors and nurses here where fabulous. Easy to contact, never waiting very long and a good vibe to the place.

I would not call this a hospital!! more like a zoo. workers on the afternoon shift have no idea how to manage them selfs around patients, no comunication between wards and protocols. would not recommend a stray dog to be treated by these animals...

Visited for my pr-op appointment two weeks prior. Staff were fantastic. I was 45min early, yet they looked after me right away. On the day of my surgery, everything went smoothly, from my arrival time to discharge a few hours later. I jokingly asked for a tea with milk and sugar before surgery and the nurse said that she would bring one afterwards. She did and had remembered how I wanted it. The surgery went well, all staff were fantastic.

I recently had my baby at Fairfield Hospital and I can’t fault the midwifery staff. In what was a very overwhelming experience for me, I took great comfort in the level of kindness, care and professionalism that they all provided. Further, I had my own room and the staff also looked after my newborn for a couple of nights so that I could rest. A really positive experience !

This was 5 years ago and I still couldn’t get rid of my head what you have done to me . NSW health gov please you can do and find better nurse .

I had an appointment at the Antenatal Clinic for 11 am. I arrived 25 minutes early but wasn't seen until 2 hours later. Others who arrived after me were called in first. When I asked the staff, they said there were 3 people ahead of me, but they ended up calling everyone, even the ones who just arrived after me. I came and asked them, they reassured me I was next but continued calling others. I was the last one left waiting. When finally seen, the appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. It was a frustrating waste of time; I could have accomplished a lot during that wait.

The worst emergency! It’s very pointless to put up signs for people to respect the team but the team doesn’t respect their patients. More listening would be great, let people finish before cutting off.

😠 I gave birth here 3 weeks ago. From 2cm to 9cm I contracted in the hallways, waiting rooms (If I wanted to be with my partner) and in the assessment room if I wanted a bed and endone - alone, without a nurse checking in on me or offering any kind of support. My waters broke around 8-9cm, I was given...
