Dr. Suhirdan and his team have gone beyond all my expectations. I have been dealing with my gastro issues for years but thanks to Dr. Suhirdan and his team, I feel really good now. Keep up the amazing work Sydney Gut Clinic!!!

Dr Suhirdan was the 4th Gastroenterologist I've seen after an extensive amount of research for GERD related issues which have been ongoing and have become progressively worse over the last 7 years. I've had Colonoscopies & Gastroscopies done twice before from the others who couldn't find any issues and prescribed me with further pills which only made matters worse. Upon consulting Dr Suhirdan, he proclaimed that he was 99% sure I had a hiatal hernia, even though the others missed it. Upon waking from anaesthesia, he came to me smiling and said he had found the hernia. He's humble, down-to-earth and knows exactly what he's doing. I completely understand why he is so highly sought after with extensive wait times, he's worth the wait! I highly recommend him and his expertise as well as the Sdyent Gut Clinic as a business with communication and help from the administration staff and nurse that works there. Keep up the great work guys and thanks again!

I have had irritable bowel syndrome for over 30 years and myalgic encephalomyelitis for over a decade, and have searched for help even when I barely had the energy for it. Over the years, I have found that many doctors and specialists have dismissed my symptoms as being in my head, have discontinued medication that was the only thing getting me by, or decided after a short period of time that since the one type of medication that they prescribed me didn’t work that I wasn’t the right patient for them and there was nothing more they could do for me. Most patients would have given up after other medical personnel had given up on them. I feel really lucky to have found Dr Suhirdan. He has had empathy, not only for what I am going through, but how that effects my family and friends as well. He is always up to date on the latest gastroenterology research and techniques, as well as the medical world at large. Dr Suhirdan sees me, really sees me, and as a doctor he sees it as his duty to help me towards wellbeing however he can. At Sydney Gut Clinic, it is not just Dr Suhirdan, but his whole team, who care - from clinical nurse Keziah to Mariah, Ashleigh, and Kiira at reception, everyone that has interacted with me cares about me as a human, not a number or an inconvenience. I know that if I have even the slightest relapse or a problem, everyone there will do whatever they can to help. I cannot tell you what a relief and what a comfort knowing that is. My parents, who are my carers, are eternally grateful for what Dr Suhirdan has done for me. I have recommended Dr Suhirdan to others in my personal life, and I absolutely cannot recommend the Sydney Gut Clinic enough.

After being told the only option I had was invasive surgery, I was so relieved when I met Dr Suhirdan in October 2017. I have been under his care ever since. I call him my miracle worker and life safer because he literally has been. From Day 1, Dr Suhirdan has inspired confidence and put me at ease. He is a brilliant gastroenterologist, has a wonderful patient manner and treats all his patients with dignity and care. I cannot recommend nor thank Dr Suhirdan highly enough.

Dr Ria Kanazaki finally got my UC under control and whilst we had a bumpy ride finding the right meds, I feel on top of the world now. Given I live in a regional area, the fact that she worked with me via Zoom and coordinated with local specialists to do the procedures - she was outstanding managing my health from afar. Kudos to the Gut Clinic for using modern technology like Zoom to assist regional people like me. Thanks Ria and all the best with your travels.

I would like to say a heartfelt thankyou to Dr Suhuridan. He has completely cured my bipolar type 1 with fmt. A brilliant and caring specialist, you couldn't find a better doctor. Dr. Suhirdan words to me were "we wont stop till we work this out" which after a 4 year battle seeing specialist after specialist doctor after doctor was like a breath of fresh air. His communication was outstanding, he listens but actually hears you, which made the hugest difference. Sydney Gut clinic was a game changer for me and I can not recommend them highly enough. Loved the communication by Dr. Suhirdan. Sydney Gut Clinic is a very rare type of place for gastrointestinal issues. Really amazing place they didn’t give up till they found the issue. I’m sure there is a journey to recover but heading the right way.

Reception are fantastic, responsive and empathetic, and Dr Suhirdan was an absolute delight not only to deal with in terms of his bedside manner and professionalism, but his sheer determination to find out what was wrong. Without going into too much detail, I had a very rare situation that technically wasn't even related to my gut, and yet through perseverance and dedication, Dr Suhirdan still found and fixed the problem! 10/10

Dr. Suhirdan Is an outstanding and caring gastroenterologist. I have battled with my digestive/ bowel disorder for over 15 years and no other gastroenterologist or colorectal surgeons could help me. Over the last 2 years, Dr. Suhirdan has undertaken various tests in order to investigate further my condition and the best treatment possible. He was always determined to go beyond and above to help me. Since undergoing the treatment since June 2021, I have felt so much better in terms of my health and my confidence. A caring, attentive and highly competent specialist, I am forever grateful that Dr Suhirdan has and continues to treat me. The staff at the Sydney Gut Clinic are also caring, knowledgeable and warm professionals.

I engaged with this practise for a second opinion as my initial gastroenterologist didn’t give me any satisfying answers as to why I’m constipated and have back/abdominal pains. I had undergone a colonoscopy and nothing was apparent. This practise referred me to see Dr Andrew Kim. During the consult he concluded that what I’m experiencing is lazy motility that happens to some as we age, I’m 40yrs old btw. I mentioned I find relief with laxatives such as Movicol. Moving forward he suggested that I continue to incorporate it into my diet like a daily protein shake and have a high fibre diet. A few hundred dollars later I was sent on my way. Well 6 months later and after ongoing pain/constipation I contacted a naturopath specialising in digestion. After an in depth stool analysis and breath test, which none of the Dr’s carried out, I was diagnosed with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). The high fibre diet both Dr’s suggested was actually helping the bacteria thrive. I’m very disappointed that Dr’s with such high qualifications underestimate the most basic tests. Seems to me that they’re only interested in high paying surgeries that turn a fast dollar. If you have something bad like cancer this place might be able to help. If you have other issues that need investigating I wouldn’t bother engaging with this practise or Dr Kim. Waste of time, effort and money.

Dr Suhirdan is beyond superb. Very pleased with him. From the get go, he reassured me about getting to the bottom of what was causing my issues. And he stood by that promise. Had issues for years that were dismissed and ignored by other doctors but he understood how debilitating they were for me and did not hesitate to get to the bottom of it. Now I can start the new year without pain and discomfort. Absolutely terrific doctor and human being. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a gastrointestinal doctor.

I have had an undiagnosed cough for 11 years. Have undergone every test possible over the years without any success. I would cough everyday even to the point of vomiting. This was so stressful and debilitating. I was at the end of the line when I came across Dr Suhirdan in 2021. He was relentless in his pursuit to find out what the issue was and thankfully he was able to understand the problem and advise of the correct medication which has literally given me back my life. I no longer cough (which is an amazing feeling) and my sleep has been restored. He is so lovely, caring and extremely knowledgeable. He is a miracle worker and life safer. Dr Suhirdan is an amazing gastroenterologist, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Suhirdan has improved my health three fold since first seeing him in march 2020. Having been through the ringer and told by a couple of doctors there was very little that could be done, I am forever grateful to him. He reassured me throughout the process and checked in on me even when on annual leave/out of office hours post-surgery. Have been seeing Dr Kim for a bad case of SIBO and am really pleased with my progress. He always takes into consideration my own research on the condition and all my feedback and is always so friendly. The reception staff are lovely too :)

Dr Andrew Kim massive thank you no pain what so ever. To all the nurses and Catherine the anaesthesiologist she was fantastic. Ben one of the nurses was so calming and helpful. I have a phobia to needles and I was treated with such care and understanding. The numbing cream and happy gas worked as a treat calmed my nerves down so much. From check in to check out it was a very smooth process. Definitely recommend this clinic. Recovery was very quick as I was thinking the worst. Thank you to everyone.

Dr Roma Steele was my anaesthetist for a kidney autotransplant. My surgery was successful and she also gave excellent care afterwards and helped me through severe nausea and vomiting from the pain medications. She even checked in on me in the ICU in person on Christmas Day. Thank you.

Very disappointed and would not refer this clinic. After multiple tests including endoscopy and colonoscopy I was misdiagnosed as having colitis and left with a large and extremely painful fissure after the colonoscopy The next gastro specialist repeated the same scopes, diagnosed my condition and got me on the right treatment and medications

Sydney Gut Clinic, under the Direction of Dr. Suhirdan Vivekanandarajah, is the Premiere Gastroenterologist Clinic in Australia in my personal experience and view. The facility is clean, new and first class. The entire staff, from the reception to the nurses and then on to the resident 'genius', Dr. Suhirdan Vivekanandarajah, are professionally outstanding in every way. The personal courtesy, friendly supportive approach, documentation and guidance are all brilliant. The confidence the patient receives is second to none. You are with the best in the business. Ok the TL/Dr Dr Suhirdan Vivekanandarajah found what was wrong with me within 15 minutes where others drs and specialists couldn't find in 6 years I have suffered, I have struggled, I have been told its all in my head ive been told to just get over it. I thought I had given up. It was by pure luck that i stumbled upon the Sydney Gut Clinic and made an appointment. Dr Suhirdan Vivekanandarajah looked closely through my case, and through my test results and suggested a test that discovered a large untreated prolapse in my bowel. He refereed me to a specialist surgeon (Dr Hamish Urquart who i also highly recommend) who also discovered a very long and floppy redundant bowel that had been causing all my issues. The Sydney Gut Clinic literally saved my life. The pain, depression and frustrations led me down some dark roads. but thanks to the team im on the mend and couldn't be more thankful thank you Alistair

I have struggled with gastro issues for over two years with no symptomatic relief until i met Dr. Suhirdan at the Sydney gut Clinic. I had scans and ultrasounds after which i was diagnosed to have food intolerances i had no idea i had. Dr. Suhirdan was also very helpful in putting together a diet plan and helping me recover and feel heaps better. I have since stuck with the diet and lifestyle changes recommended and have found great relief. The staff have also been in touch and checked-up on me periodically. I highly recommend the clinic!
