The cleanliness and maintenance are a complete joke. Not only do members not use towels on the machines, leaving them covered in sweat, but the staff do nothing to address this issue. Quite ironic as the motto of the gym is "No towel no workout". As a result, the equipment is constantly in a state of disgust and sweat. Members also intentionally slam the cable machines from peak height with full force, resulting in the machines often being broken. In addition, the dumbbells are constantly being tossed around carelessly from the benches, resulting in the dumbells bouncing and rolling meters away, creating a dangerous environment for surrounding gym goers and their personal possessions. Not only are the weights not being re-racked, but dumbells are also being misplaced all over the dumbbell rack or rolled underneath, as members do not bother retrieving dumbells after they have roll underneath from being thrown. It's clear that some members have no common courtesy, or regard for the safety of others. To make matters worse, 'certain' gym goers congregate in large groups and proceed to yell across the gym to one another in a loud obnoxious manner. The staff at this gym are a complete joke. Rather than ensuring that the gym is running smoothly and helping out members, they are more interested in socialising with one another, or hidden away in the staff room on their phones. It's no wonder that the gym is constantly in chaos. To top it all off, the gym is always unbearably hot and humid, making it an unbearable place to workout, especially during the summer. I have been to a number of gyms in the area, but I have never encountered such a poorly run unsanitary gym where members are disrespectful to the equipment and each other. The low membership fee does not justify joining this gym. You are better off paying more for any other gym for much better amenities, crowd, and basic level of sanitation.

I embarked on my fitness journey with Crunch back in 2013, and over the past nine years, I've witnessed the ebb and flow of different managements and structural changes within the Bankstown branch. My loyalty to Crunch has been unwavering, maintaining a yearly membership at a cost of $200. Throughout the years, my interactions with the staff and various managers have been positive, fostering a sense of connection with the club. However, recent developments, particularly my experience in 2022, have left me disheartened, leading to the difficult decision of not renewing my membership. Despite the evolving nature of membership fees, I had reached an agreement with the manager for a reduced rate, acknowledging my extended loyalty. Regrettably, during my subsequent visit, I faced an unexpected hurdle as entry was denied, with the demand to pay the full amount. Understanding that retaining the initial rate from years ago is impractical, I had hoped that nearly a decade of dedication and loyalty would warrant some form of consideration—a token of appreciation for a steadfast customer. In my view, a gym's profitability hinges on its ability to retain loyal patrons. The local pool of potential gym-goers is finite, and sustaining a steady influx is contingent on retaining existing customers. Failing to recognize the value of long-term commitment risks not only disappointing loyal clients but also jeopardizing the club's overall revenue. As a customer who has witnessed the transformations within Crunch Fitness over the years, it is disheartening to find my loyalty seemingly undervalued in recent interactions. I believe a fair and considerate approach to membership renewals is crucial for both customer satisfaction and the long-term prosperity of the gym. In conclusion, while my journey with Crunch has been marked by positive experiences, the recent turn of events has prompted me to reconsider my affiliation with the club. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken into account, and improvements are made to ensure that loyal customers are not only recognized but also rewarded for their enduring commitment to Crunch Fitness.

Seriously I have a qus to crunch management.....no carrying bag while doing gym, is it for as a joke? Lots of people doing gym with bag with them. Teasing womans is regular things at crunch. Guys grouping and yell with loud voice happening always and management always silent about it . Also gym staff acting like they own the gym....lots of attitudes. Attached picture for people doing exercise with bag.

Terrible service. Absolutely would not recommend. On multiple occasions I have been stopped from entering the gym because of "card payment issues" despite supplying my very much in-date card info multiple times and being assured by the staff that these issues have now been fixed each time (clearly not). This has meant I'm always missing classes that I planned to go to. Then most recently, I get told I'm not allowed in because although I only brought my yoga mat for a class; I didn't bring a towel. This is happening whilst another girl walks right through with exactly what I'm holding, a yoga mat and no towel but of course she was not stopped. I look around the gym and there are multiple people with no towels. Now I'm all for enforcement of rules, but it is when it is clearly inconsistent that I am left with no choice but to conclude that this gym discriminates. I'm cancelling membership. Why would I pay so much to NOT get to my workout session AND get frustrated everyday?

Been going for a bit and everything is pretty good but today was a bit how's it going. Didn't join this gym earlier because i thought there would be a lot of annoying "gym bros" but not the case. Lots of free classes to attend but I haven't gone to one but I see plenty of people attend and know that there's a lot of regulars that enjoy since some classes are super packed. My sister said she attended a boxing class and enjoyed it. My mother goes to Zumba class with my aunty and they enjoy it. Multiple squat racks and two deadlift platforms. Two bubblers that you can fill your bottles with or just drink. Good amount of cardio machines and alternative machines if you're waiting to do a specific exercise. Honestly don't like how close the machines are but got used to it. It's pretty cheap for a weekly basis and the only thing that I miss at my other gym is having 24 hour access since I work shift work but it is manageable. Relatively creep free. Staff are nice, I personally don't really like talking to people in the gym but can see they have good relationships with members. Today was the first time I was super uncomfortable. Some guy was in the middle of his workout in the cable machine area and was complaining about South Pacific Islanders to his friend who wasn't as audible. He was basically yelling it across the gym. I don't know the context but he kept saying "because they're Pacific Islanders" really loud. Went to go ask but the guy dipped and didn't hear him complain when big islander guys came in to work out.

A very friendly gym in terms of the vibe and culture. Equipment is standard however the environment is what makes this gym quite that little bit special.

The environment is just amazing. It is so hyped in there. Tons of equipments, classes and lots of gym freaks around. That always helps me to keep pushing. This is a perfect gym. The only problem is the crowd during peak hours.

Equipments are usually well maintained. However, the staff is a minus. Some of them are very friendly and helpful, but some are somehow rude and unfriendly. When I came to sign up and wanted to ask more about payments and prepaid cost, the guys didn't explain and made me feel uncomfortable when I ask them questions. I did not know about the checkin process for my package and the girl at the counter made me feel unwelcome by something that I was not aware of. Overall, it's a three star customer service.

Went to enquire about the membership options. Was helped by a very knowledgeable and helpful trainer Muhammad who showed me around the gym and also discussed the 2 membership options with me. The gym is quite massive and has lot of free weights and equipment on offer. It also has showers and locker rooms which are free to use.

Gym staff all very pleasant to deal with. The head office don't owner there membership. They sold me 18 membership and after 12 month they claim that membership is over. Even the staff member confirmed I paid for 18 month but head office rejected it and cancelled membership.

Good gym, but Crunch fitness need to change those stairmasters, it's 2023 most gyms have electric stairmaster nowadays. Also need to add hard/wooden floor for squat racks!

Staff helpful and friendly, however, stricter rules regarding the behaviour of some of the gym patrons and usage of towels. Equipment needs an overhaul and toilets more cleaning. Would love to see the massage chairs here as in other Crunch gyms

A great environment to workout in. The staff are great people and the gym is large and spacious with a wide variety of facilities. Everyone who trains there daily is friendly which helps to create a great environment to work out in.

Airconditioner is never on, they blame it on centre management of bankstown centro but frankly they do nothing to fix it. Lots of machines always broken amd typical hygiene of the gym is vastly lacking. The typical demographic of people that join the gym are akin to animals.

This Gym is a total Rip Off. They appear to be cheap but they put heaps of Hidden Charges which they never talk about when signing up. I had very bad experience with their staff and their Manager (Harper) who lied to me about the fee and annual subscription. He told me something else and charged me 20 dollars extra through Direct Debit. Please go elsewhere as there are many better Gyms to work out with proper Management Structure and Machines.

The gym is a great value for price. The staff and members are friendly. The gym equipment is getting old and not well maintained. Most of the machines have funny sound effects due to rust in the handles and the cables which makes the weights move slower, get stuck and cause injuries. The gym main door from the shopping centre is always closed before 8 am and after 5:30 PM which makes it difficult to enter or leave the gym during those times.

Friendly staff, clean site and fairly new working equipment for everyone to use. Excellent classes not packed out better to attend in the morning as the afternoon after 4pm can get a little crowed.

Love my local. Great people working there. Good energy and vibes. Most people are civil and just there to workout. Decent prices too and equipment is reasonable. Just getting a bit busier these days.

So happy that I have tried out this place. Spacious and lot of gym equipment to exercise yourself. I am just out of sickness and need to exercise to get my weight back to healthy level. Found out that Crunch has budget memberships for beginners like me. First, I was questioning myself that why the weekly fee is so low compared to many other local gyms, maybe the place is not very good. However, after trying the first free visit, I was so happy of the Crunch Bankstown. It was so good more than what I was expecting.

I don't mind the gym and the staff are helpful, however Crunch's website states "Fresh and clean Our gyms are not only filled to the brim with awesome equipment, they're squeaky clean...Crunchies always keep it clean! Well the equipment is not clean at all. It does not look like a cleaner goes and wipes down the equipment. It is not for the members "the Crunchies" to clean it. We are in a pandemic and sanitising and keeping equipment clean is very necessary. The toilets are just as bad. Like I said I don't think they employ a cleaner. Disappointed.

Really friendly staff. Lots of machines when it comes to treadmills and other cardio machines. They also have two punching bags that aren’t always present at other gyms.

Staff are very freindly. The gym recieved a nice upgrade of new equipment and new lights. Ask for Banana if you want some training advice, biggest boy in the gym.

The men there are like animals, they are so loud and kinda creepy. The gym doesn't have wipes to clean the equipment and not enough spray bottles to clean. The equipments are not user friendly. The staffs are super friendly though.

Been here for about 4 years now. Friendly staff. Very cheap with no lock-in contract. I live very close to here so it's very convenient. It can get super busy at week nights. And the toilet stalls are filthy but most gyms are like that anyway

The Zumba classes are super fun! The instructors give their all to make the class enjoyable. I personally really recommend Yoshi (Friday night) and Pritti’s (Sunday morning) classes. They’re probably one of the more high intensity classes and I burn a lot of calories while having a great time in those two :) Overall gym cleanliness could be improved and a lot of the people in this gym don’t really re-rack their weights and sometimes leave them lying around in random places. The price of the membership and fact that it is month to month is what is amazing though and helps to look past those things.

This gym gets busy in the afternoon but it is a big facility with a variety of equipment so training allows you maximise your workout thoroughly. The gym fees are the lowest in Sydney. i been a member now for over 10 months and am very happy to be training there. If your interested they will allow you a first tine free entry for that day. Anytime you wish to cancel your memvership just allow one months in advance.
