    Sydney strength training is a specialised gym filled to the brim with experienced trainers. They helped me go from being significantly underweight and weak to a healthy size with strength Iā€™ve never had before. Highly recommend if youā€™re looking to increase your strength in a gym that is highly inclusive and friendly. Also, coach Marion is such an inspirational person! I feel very lucky to have a chance to be trained by her.

    As a physio, Iā€™m always promoting the benefits of strengthening to all my patients, particularly to ones 40 and over. Sydney Strength Training is where I send all people who have made the decision to live well and strong into age but are not sure where to go or who to trust. Joe and Rheece are phenomenal coaches or have not only made the people Iā€™ve referred to SST stronger versions of themselves, they have made me stronger as well! I have been training at SST since Oct 2019 and there is nothing better than showing up to a group class and seeing people in their 40s,50s,60s and 70s squatting and picking up loaded barbells! I can not recommend this gym more highly anyone considering taking charge of their health, strength and wellbeing into age.

    On my first day I was a little intimidated, but Joe had a conversation with me and told me how things worked. He helped me settle in and his programming has really boosted my confidence in strength training. I probably have a bit TOO much confidence now since he can often here me laughing and going on about how I often load my bar wrong from his office. One of the first things I noticed was how clean and organise everything was. Members need to book ahead of time to train, which means there is enough racks and equipment for each member. You NEVER have to share equipment, to the point where I often have access to TWO racks so I can do supersets. Members are respectful and what I would call ā€˜quiet achieversā€™. There is no judgment for how big or small the number is on your bar. All members clean up after themselves, with the expectation that you replace any equipment that you use back to its specific spot where you found it. Since Covid, the gym has provided free hand sanitiser. There is also a special solution provided to stray down equipment after use. All members spray down their bars and benches after use. Since we already donā€™t have to share equipment, social distancing isnā€™t an issue. If this didnā€™t convince you Sydney Strength Training is an awesome gym to train at, I donā€™t know what will! Go check it out!

    I've been a member at Sydney Strength Training for over a year now and it's been a truly amazing experience. The trainers are knowledgeable, supportive, and always provide a challenging workout. The gym itself is clean, well-equipped and the community of members is welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend Sydney Strength Training to anyone looking for a great gym with a fantastic team of trainers.

    I cannot recommend Sydney Strength Training enough! I started at SST over a year ago to help with back pain from scoliosis and nerve issues in my arm. Since starting the nerve issues have completely gone away and my back is not nearly as painful as it used to be. Starting strength training can be intimidating but the team at Sydney Strength are incredibly supportive, help you perfect your form with each group session and organise all your workouts so that even if you're on your own you have a set schedule to stick to. There are also plenty of racks available so you'll rarely (if ever) find yourself waiting to use one. Finally, and probably most importantly, I've never once felt uncomfortable or judged there. As it's a smaller gym, you become familiar with the other members and everyone is friendly and supportive of eachother. *** TL;DR - great strength training gym with plenty of facilities and a supportive, comfortable atmosphere.

    My 2023 new yearā€™s resolution brought me through the door of SST. Itā€™s the first resolution Iā€™ve made in years that has stuck. Rheece, Marion and Sami are all knowledgeable about building strength and genuinely interested in helping people achieve goals, no matter if youā€™re a brand new gym goer or a long time lifter. The gym is really well equipped and racks are well spaced out and donā€™t have to be shared during your session. Rheece and the team create a welcoming, comfortable environment for people of all different ages and abilities. Iā€™ve felt consistently confident in my program, which has been adapted to help me work around my bad knees and Iā€™ve been supported and encouraged each week. This place is fab!!

    Reece, Sami, Marion and Joe at Sydney Strength Training are welcoming, fun and encouraging coaches. You get individualised sessions and heaps of support with new sessions. The atmosphere of the gym is relaxed, you can take the training at your own pace or can push yourself to see what you can do. Thereā€™s a strong warm community vibe with many friendly people of all sorts - shapes, sizes and personalities. I always walk out happier than when I walk in. Thanks Reece and team.     Ive been coached by the team at Sydney Strength for the past 9 months Joe, Rheece and Sami have been incredibly supportive. The personalised programming has been great and enabled massive gains in all the lifts. The gym itself is outstanding, training there is one of the highlights of the week.

    I started training at the gym to help with a long standing shoulder injury. Training with Rheece has helped improve my shoulder mobility so that I hardly notice it anymore and I feel stronger overall. My husband and sons have also joined and we enjoy training together. Great specialist gym.

    A friend highly recommended Sydney Strength Training a few years ago when my husband and I wanted to improve our strength but didnā€™t want to join a conventional gym. Sydney Strength Training has been excellent for us - Sami, Rheece and Marion have a supportive and positive approach to training, and the gym environment is relaxed and friendly.

    I have been training with Rheece, Sami and Maz at SST for the past 2.5 years and could not recommend it highly enough. They are so welcoming and encouraging of clients of all backgrounds and fitness levels and the programs are 100% customised to your personal goals and preferences. There are no egos and no judgement, fun artworks adorn the walls instead of distracting mirrors, good tunes (most of the time) and everyone gets their own rack. Could not go back to an ordinary gym.

    I have never been a gym goer and was sceptical about training with heavy weights. Sami was super supportive and now after 3 months my lifts are going up each week and i'm hooked on strength training. I really enjoy my sessions in the gym the workouts are challenging but the atmosphere is fun.

    Working with Rheece and the team at Sydney Strength Training will change your life. I started training at Sydney Strength Training 2 years ago after dabbling in commercial gyms on and off for years. In the past I had struggled to build a proper long term habit or routine and struggled to see results. Starting at SST, Rheece, Sami and Marion have taught me hands on the 'how' and the 'why' of a proper, sustainable strength training program. This has been the foundation of me being able to build a highly consistent workout ethic since starting. The time that is spent teaching you proper exercise form and training regimen has been incredibly valuable. The coaching element that is key to SST has helped me immeasurably in understanding and getting through the hard times of injuries and progression plateaus. One of the other key benefits of working with SST has been the personalised weekly programming that the team provide. This is so different to any other gym, and it's really like having your own personal trainer drive your long term progression and development. I would wholeheartedly recommend Rheece and the team to just about anybody. If you have the time and commitment, Rheece and the team will make the rest happen. Ben

    I had injured my Rotator Cuff sailing. Physiotherapy addressed the initial pain. I swam regularly to try to regain strength in the arm. There was some improvement, but the arm was still not right. Research led me to Barbell Medicine & Sydney Strength Training. A slow & steady start built my confidence to lift & within three months, muscle tone & strength returned to the arm. Heavier gardening tasks were no longer a problem.

    I am someone that never liked gym culture in general but this gym is has changed my life!!! Rheece, Sami and Marion are an awesome supportive team that make going to the gym fun and work towards whatever strength goals you set together.     Thankfully found SST after two very long and painful years of physio for injuries to both shoulders (impingement syndrome, bursitis and frozen shoulder!) Next steps were to start strengthening my shoulders and was grateful to have found SST who have provided a safe; genuinely caring and supportive environment. I now have two fully functional strong shoulders and am looking forward the continuing health benefits of strength training as I age!

    For someone who was always reluctant to try the gym, the folks at Sydney Strength Training made me feel really welcome and supported especially as a woman. The facilities are very sensible and there is always a rack for you because they plan well. Iā€™ve learned correct form and training skills and feel positive about achieving my strength goals.

    I have trained with S.S.T now for 6 years and can wholeheartedly say that it has been one of the best investments of my life. I originally found S.S.T online while trying to search for programs on how to get strong, since I wasn't getting any results from training at my local commercial gym on my own. The team are so friendly, and made me feel at home straightaway. My coach, Joe, always customises my programs around my goals, which has been so much fun and rewarding. I can't fault their facility or their programming - both are excellent! Suffice to say, I've become a lot stronger while also having the best time training at S.S.T. You won't go wrong with these guys.

    You donā€™t need to have stepped foot in SST for long to truly get a sense of the vast knowledge and experience that Joe, Rheece and the entire staff have on offer. Whether it be a simple desire to get stronger or a more chronic issue, all ages and levels will find an easy-going and relaxed gym purely focused on being better than you were yesterday. A great experience!

    I have been training with Joe from Sydney Strength Training since June 2017. I originally started as an online client, however have since switched over to doing face-to-face sessions with him on a weekly basis. Joe is an incredible coach, and since working with him I have managed to increase my strength (hello 170kg deadlift!) all whilst having fun and enjoying the process. Highly recommend!

    Iā€™ve been training with Joe for a couple of years now. Heā€™s such a good coach, I have hit so many goals, I cannot recommend him and his gym enough. And now more than ever with Covid itā€™s important to train in a safe environment which you will get at Sydney Strength Training. Numbers are controlled so it is never overcrowded, everything is kept clean, and you will have your own space and equipment when you train which you can clean yourself for peace of mind.

    Excellent strength training gym. No fuss, beautiful equipment (those bars!!). My husband I have been training with Rheece, who is giving us excellent coaching, and doesnā€™t take any of my rubbish. The environment at the gym is friendly and huge efforts are being made to ensure COVID safety. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to strength train.

    Excellent gym, you get your own rack and expert instruction on how to effectively build strength. Doesnā€™t have the ā€œgymā€ atmosphere but one of people there to do the work and none of the other guff you associate with some gyms. Joe and Rheece are very helpful. Highly recommend!

    I love training at Sydney Strenghth Training. Its a spacious, friendly, safe environment and Rheece, Joe and Sammy tailor the training to my individual goals. Booking my sessions rather than just popping in really works for me, Ive had 'pop in' gym memberships before and found I didn't use them as much. The booking system also means its never overcrowded and you can always access the equipment you need.

    After long term illness, and wanting to be the best version of myself, its the first gym I've walked into that I was immediately comfortable. It's relaxed, the other clientele are friendly, and there is no ego. The trainers guide you along, and work with you. Are professional, and know what they are on about.
