Very cool attraction for small nd big kids at heart. Lots of great exhibits and animals. Amazing how much was on offer to see. Loved the glass tunnels to walk through and the penguin boat ride was a highlight too. And we loved getting our hands wet in the touch pool. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are around Darling Harbor.

Not recommended. It was way too busy for the space they have available, and filled with screaming kids and strollers. The facilities are really rough and ready. I understand you’re in the middle of the city, but for a world class city like Sydney, which is also a maritime city, we expected something more permanent and better looking. The dugong ramp area was extremely loud. We saw kids and adults covering their ears because of how loud it was with the speakers at full blast. Horrible. The area for the penguins was filthy, with poop on the floors and the glass. The men’s bathroom near cafeteria did not soap. The cafeteria was filled with birds. In terms of exhibitions, the areas with the tunnel were pretty amazing, as well as the ones with jellyfish. I would not come back.

An enjoyable experience with several attractions to see. Only downfall is there is no nearby parking without paying significant amount of money and was overcrowded so this meant waiting for others to move before we could see anything. There was also several fish that were dead in the tanks which wasn't pleasant to see. Shame they also close quite early where as they used to be open late - would be good to experience it later at night and also allow the opportunity for quieter periods for people to look through.

Got the tickets with Wildlife zoo admission all together. Have to change the date twice due to personal health issue. very friendly staff and procedure is a breeze! Not the biggest aquarium that I've been so far but their variety of sea creatures are awesome! my little kid love it and my family have a great time. highly recommend!

The museum starts off slow, and I was confused at first about where to go. Luckily, they have staff everywhere telling you where to go. They also helped to keep the people moving and not create bottlenecks. Once you get to the bottom levels where all the penguins and sharks are, it is very nice. There is also a cool vr experience, and the lady there is very nice.

This was a pretty small to average-sized aquarium, my favourite part was the dark UV light area and the tunnel with the sharks. But just my personal opinion, I do not know this area of expertise, but the tanks looked a little small for the fish. But overall it was a pretty fun experience. I loved the interior design of the place as well, it was very well done, considering the space constraints. There were a lot of interactive activities as well, which I enjoyed. A good place to visit if you're a tourist or just a marine life enthusiast.

It was my first time to visit a big aquarium like this. I had chance to visit one in Istanbul, but I couldn't make it. Now, I remember how great experience it is. The great Ocean life is just near you with a lot of species. Sharks are just passing thru next to you. Penguins are so cute animals. Staffs are really kind and helpful. Thanks for the great service.

A group of friends and I decided to visit the aquarium last minute while traveling in Sydney. It was super easy to get tickets from the self service kiosks and there was no wait. The aquarium itself was a lot bigger than expected and even had a surprise 2 minute ride that took us in a boat through the penguin enclosures (with fake snow too!). The best part was the glass viewing tunnels which gave a 180 degree views of the fish and marine life.

When you are at Sydney for a short time and with either family or group this is a place to visit. If you can plan and buy entry tickets with other places next to it you can save a lot. You can cover all the three entertainments in a day if you keep your energy up but the tickets are valid for a week so you can take your time. I was so amazed with the arrangements of such place in the centre of the city. The place is quite big inside and a bit of walk. But at the end you will not regret.

Excellent aquarium. It is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Staff members were phenomenal and very friendly. We had a blast getting up close and personal with the aquatic life. The walk through tunnels were definitely a highlight. Get in line early as there will be a queue.

This is a popular tourist attraction, remember to get the ticket online at first in advance especially during the school holidays, the penguins are cute and the staff are friendly. It's just a pity that it's a little small. But I still enjoy my day here.

The worst experience among all aquariums that I have visited to. First, the place is too crowded, even though there's a timed ticket system. You can't really have a quiet environment to enjoy it. Also, there's decent chance that you will get COVID or flu in such crowded indoor environment. Second, the diversity of sea life is okay but far from great. The water quality is not that good as well and you can't see the fish clearly. This feels like the aquarium just about squeezing money and doesn't care about the visitor experience. For the sake of money and health, think twice before visiting there. (Unless you enjoy seeing more people than fish)

Some fantastic displays and the new penguin river ride is a great addition. It gets busy which can make it hard to get around particularly with so many prams and fairly narrow walkways so it's best to get there early on a weekday before the crowds. It's pricey but an annual pass is great value if you're a local.

Went to the Sydney Aquarium on a Sunday, which made it be really packed, especially with many families and children! If you would like it to be more quiet, I’d recommend a working day rather than the weekend. Buying tickets online is the best option as there is less of a queue when entering! Also they have student discounts and different combos that make the tickets less expensive. As for the aquarium itself, I’m usually not a fan, but this one was packed with information and additional details with regards to the different animal species as well as very nicely organized!

I recently visited Sea Life Aquarium in Sydney, and while it proved to be an enjoyable experience for children, I found it somewhat lacking in adult-oriented attractions and suffered from overcrowding. Let's start with the positives. Sea Life Aquarium offers a fascinating array of marine life, providing an educational and interactive experience for kids. The variety of fish, sharks, turtles, and other aquatic creatures is impressive, and children will undoubtedly be captivated by the vibrant displays and informative exhibits. The touch pools and interactive zones are a highlight, allowing youngsters to engage with some of the marine life up close. However, for adult visitors, the aquarium may not be as engaging. The exhibits are primarily geared towards younger audiences, and the lack of more in-depth information or interactive elements for adults can make the experience feel somewhat monotonous. It would be beneficial if the aquarium offered additional attractions or informative displays targeted specifically at adults, providing a more well-rounded experience for all visitors. Another downside of my visit was the overcrowding. The aquarium tends to draw large crowds, especially during peak times or school holidays. Navigating through the exhibits and getting a good view of the marine life can be challenging due to the constant stream of visitors. This detracts from the overall enjoyment of the experience, as it can feel rushed and chaotic. Consider visiting during less busy periods to have a more relaxed and pleasant time. While Sea Life Aquarium undoubtedly has its merits as a family-friendly attraction, it could benefit from addressing the imbalance between child-focused entertainment and adult engagement. Furthermore, measures should be taken to manage crowd sizes more effectively, ensuring a better experience for all visitors. Note: Please bear in mind that this review reflects my personal experience and that others may have different perspectives based on their visits.

A wonderful aquarium which has variety of sea fish including Sharks and other monster fish. There are different species of sharks live there freely in the large aquarium. Different jelly fish varieties with different colours are available here. This is a great place for students and people who would like to learn zoology. This bit crowded here and better visit in the weekdays. There is a souvenir shop at the end and it is bit expensive. You can buy the same souvenir from Hey Market for a cheaper price. Toilets also available there in the beginning and at the end of the tour. There are photo booths and AR films available in the mid of the tour.

When you arrive at a busy time, the line up you see first is actually for those who have already bought tickets and are waiting to enter SEA life. To buy tickets, you'll have to walk a bit further until you see the ticketing machines around the corner of the massive building. This is not clearly indicated and rather confusing. We bought tickets for SEA life only, but you can buy combination tickets that allow you to visit other attractions like Madam Tussaud and Wild Life that are at the same location but separated from SEA life. After lining up for about 10 minutes we were able to enter SEA life. From the way the corridors and displays are designed, it felt they did their best to fit as much and a practical as possible in a limited space. It's pretty narrow and on a busy Saturday afternoon, it was tough sometimes to navigate through people and prams at the same time. Overall, it's an amusing place to be on a rainy day with small kids. However, we don't recommend it if your aim is to learn all about Australia's sea life. There is relatively little explanation on what you're looking at in the aquaria. Also, don't expect a lot of interactive things to do. We spent about two hours walking at a fairly low pace before reaching the exit. But do expect that about 70 percent is display of actual sea life and 30 percent is just corridors or elevated walkways.

Had some awesome fun here, lots of things to see and do. This is a great place to take kids, so many different animals, colours and interactive exhibits. You're able to get underneath the water and see the fish and sharks from an angle you normally wouldn't be able to. They often swim right up close to the glass and it feels like they're right next to you.

Overall, this is a beautiful aquarium, home to some exquisite marine life. Their displays have been well thought out with some impressive interactive exhibits and a gorgeous theatre room where people can sit and watch sea life swim to the tune of tranquil music. We’ll most definitely return. The only reason it was rated 4 stars at the time was because when we visited midweek, we were trampled by a large group of high school students, yelling to one another and making rude remarks about the marine life. Their voices bellowed down the underwater tunnels and carried through the entire aquarium unsettling visitors and most likely the ‘resident marine life’. Any other time, the aquarium is most definitely a 5 star venue.

Good place to spend a few hours. I'm an avid animal lover, and I spent about 3 hours there. I reckon it would take an average of 2 hours for most people. Having been to several other aquariums around the world such as Singapore and Bangkok, I'm not particularly impressed by this one. There's a great variety of animals, but in regards to the tanks' cleanliness and beauty (in terms of tank setup and maintenance, variety and colour saturation of corals and fish), it's nowhere close to that of S.E.A Aquarium Singapore. Still, this is a great place to bring the family, educate kids and adults alike, and spot some amazing animals that live in or around oceans. Penguins, manatee, sharks, stingrays, sea turtles, jellyfish, starfish (petting corner), octopus and more.

Very convenient sea an aquarium. It's right at Darling Harbour so very close to the other tourist attractions. You can't get food tickets in all special deals with other attractions in Sydney. There's a space to wait outside and there was inside the different levels for see animals and you can go under the water to see the Stingrays and great sharks. It's getting a bit old now but still it's the first aquarium in the area. There are some souvenir shops and some places to sit down and eat at the front but the food isn't entirely great

Amazing! You walk around on a path for an hour or two and see all the different animals. There is an area in the penguin area that lets you get super close to them. The dugong was amazing to see and the amount of stingrays was riveting to watch. Every part of the aquarium is captivating. There is also wheelchair access and a gift shop at the end that has many cute toys and other trinkets. Would definitely recommend visiting here at least once

A beautiful aquarium that is much larger and deeper inside than it looks! The diversity of fish range is huge and you get really up close with some fishes! The penguin exhibit is by far the most popular for good reason - you get to see them eat and swim up close. A fantastic experience that I would recommend to families, friends and couples alike.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a captivating underwater world. The variety of marine life on display is truly impressive. I was in awe as I gazed at the vibrant corals, graceful sea turtles, and schools of exotic fish. The exhibits were not only visually stunning but also educational, with informative signage about each species. The highlight of my visit was the underwater tunnel, where I felt like I was walking beneath the ocean itself. Sharks, rays, and countless other sea creatures swam gracefully above me, creating a mesmerizing and immersive experience. The staff at the aquarium were exceptionally knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They were eager to share interesting facts about the marine life and were more than willing to answer any questions, adding to the overall educational value of the visit. Had been to Melbourne sea life aquarium but was not worth though. For families, couples, or anyone who has a fascination with the wonders of the ocean, the Sea Life Aquarium in Sydney is a must-visit attraction. Highly recommended

Lots of fun, great use of space, lots to see :) I really enjoyed the short Penguin boat ride! (It’s pretty cold in there to sit the penguins but you’re only in there for a few minutes) I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t more signs/information on the sea creatures that I could read. They had monitors which cycled through profiles of the creatures but not as descriptive and interesting facts filled as it used to be.

Best Sea-life Aquarium for sure!!! 🐠🐙🦈 Lots to see and learn. It’s really worth the money if you have the time to walk around and observe these animals habitats. So many sea animals which you wouldn’t find anywhere else either. Highly recommend the behind the scene activity as well. It was very educational & gave depth to what we were looking at.

My family and I had so much fun seeing all the sea creatures at the Aquarium. The glass tunnel is sensational, you feel you’re so close to the fish, the stingray, the sharks! The penguin experience is brief yet amusing. Staffs are friendly and jolly. It’s well worth a visit while you’re in Sydney.

The world famous Sydney aquarium doesn't disappoint (mostly). The exhibits are all immaculately well kept and are very impressive, even if there is a lot of walking in between them at times. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable on their respective fields, especially one who had a lot of trivia regarding Port Jackson sharks and the like, very interesting. Pricing is on the expensive side and I suppose it depends on the person but, I felt it could have been a tad cheaper, with options for students and younger people. Don't get food here. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. A must see in Sydney, book online so you're not standing around in line for an hour.

Better then I expected! It wasn't very crowded probably down to COVID-19 but it was easy to get around and didn't feel rushed.. tunnels were pretty cool, plenty of fish to see, and the penguins were the best!

The aquarium itself was really wonderful. It's much larger than expected with many areas including not only underwater tunnels but also projections and large array of tanks with all sea life. The biggest let down was the lack of social distancing and enforcement. There were plenty of signs around but no one was adhering to it. The tunnels in particular were terrible and even though there was a sealife person present they didn't say anything. It would not have been hard nor would or should people take offense if the sealife person had limited the number of people in the tunnels and waited until it was clear to let others in.

I did not like. Remind me the gypsy circus. The aquarium is small, designed, apparently, for tourists or villagers, there are few types of fish, the aquariums themselves are not large, it seems to me outdated. Tunnel aquariums are very poorly designed, there is little vegetation, poorly lit and I even saw leaking. The concept of a play area for children is good but poorly implemented in modern conditions. The only plus is that the jellyfish and hippocampus are beautiful.

The walk is rather long. Always gets me how the aquarium doesn't feel like it's going to be a long affair but it is actually quite a tiring trip when you have a pram to push. With the Manly sanctuary permanently closed, I can see a few upgrades here... And I would say it's all quite alright, but not exactly mind blowing. The sections are too small, and not very spaced out, which means you're queuing up at every corner. In saying that, I do get a feeling that Australia is rather responsible about nature and the care that goes into tending to animals, in letting more animals be in their natural environments than to be behind a window or a cage, I honestly feel conflicted over what an aquarium should be like. The touchy feely section was probably my favorite - the sea urchins, the starfish was all quite nice... The penguins section was pleasant to view too. Some adjustments had been made for Covid with ample sanitizers and hand wash areas. The crowd, however, was a bit worrisome. I thought there would be a limit with the number of people in the aquarium at any one time, but it wasn't so.

We had an amazing experience here, the only issues I had was the other parents/carers/adults not taking social distancing as serious. There were plenty of signs requesting social distancing, but they didn't follow through. Maybe Sea Life Sydney Aquarium should lower the numbers of people entering to protect the vulnerable.

Not {really} worth the re-visit. The result of the renovation was just only to add a Charles Darwin exhibit. Before the renovation i suggested in person to 1 of the {Wizard charity} ticket staff about my idea of adding a play area for little kids that visit with their parents and were they could play while all the parents chat & have coffee watching their kids nearby. I was told it was a great idea & would be passed on to the maintenance manger. Wasn't installed when i was there. ???

My family of four and I, along with our two other groups of friends with toddlers visited the aquarium today and have to say it was a very positive experience. We booked in an early time slot and check in was very fast. Our kids were all under 2 years of age, but all had a very fun time. It was very interactive and appealing to all of the kids. Plenty of hands on interactive protector activities (which our kids loved the most), and things for them to see. There were covid safety precautions put into place, like signs and hand sanitizers and it wasn’t too packed even with three prams we dragged along (very pram friendly). There were toilets and two baby change room facilities about half way in - one was a family change room and the other was a baby change room combined with the disabled toilet. Will definitely be back when the kids are older.

Visited sea life yesterday and it was good. I wish it wasn't so hot though as i noticed alot of educational information but it got quite warm in certain sections you didn't want to loiter around. (Especially with other oncoming patrons and covid). This was the only one that had a line (out of the zoo/madame tissards) so I'd recommend booking your time slot. The staff were very helpful and we're pleasant. The penguin train ride was closed also, although there were alot of other sea life to watch and enjoy. It’s a great place, but they are not very COVID safe. Very crowded in underground tunnels and exhibits. Lots of glass surfaces touched by many people. There wasn’t anywhere near enough social distancing or sanitising of the extensive amount of glass, railings etc. Large crowds gathering to watch the dugong with no distance between them. Not a great idea to visit in current environment.

Interesting and entertaining day out, with some enjoyable interactive exhibits and facts. The one down-side was the harbour area, namely Dugong Island. Whilst I'd heard rumours of the enclosure being restrictive, we were all quite shocked at the size of a few different exhibits. The outdoor area in particular comes across as just completely too small for so many rays, sharks and especially Pig the Dugong. As SeaLife claim to be so keen on animal welfare, there was a lot of large animals in small spaces which was quite disconcerting.

A must visit! Learnt a lot about the sea life and really enjoyed getting close to stunning creatures we may never get to see in wild. While I don’t support animal captivity, I do understand the learning and conservation opportunities made possible. With that said, I’d like to see Sea Life expand their current infrastructure to offer better and bigger living space for the creatures. I mean the aquarium in Dubai Mall (for retail) seems and probably is a lot bigger than what I experienced here. I was inspired to learn more about the sea life and the human impact on their habitat. I’ll make a conscious effort to reduce my impact so that my kids and their kids can witness what I did.

The Sydney Aquarium is a great place for the whole family to enjoy. This is my second time visiting and I enjoyed even more this time. I will say though, that there isn’t a whole lot to see. I feel more things could be added to enhance the experience but still nonetheless enjoyable. This is also quite a bit of walking up and down to see certain areas, so maybe keep that in mind with the elderly and young children.

Awesome. The trouble they go to, to decorate/design each section, the insight and info that is displayed throughout, about each species and the care the team takes when dealing with the animals, which we witnessed first hand on several occasions, is second to none and a joy to witness. The sea life aquarium is on the list of major attractions in Sydney. It can be reached easily through public transport (parking is expensive and hard to find on most days). I would say pre-book slot before you go to ensure you gee and note that the penguin ride is temporarily not available due to covid. There is pram access (but double prams may struggle with the narrow walkways and the whole experience is child friendly albeit a little dark. There is a wide variety of fishes ranging from newborn sea horses to massive sharks and ofcourse the penguins. Takes about 2 hours to cover leisurely definitely worthwhile.

Absolutely stunning aquarium! So many beautiful sea creatures and fish accompanied by calming music while you walk around the place! The jellyfish section was beautiful! It is definitely worth the money, it takes a good hour and half to go through the whole thing unlike Wildlife which takes nearly 30 minutes! Would go again! Recommend it to everyone!

One of the great experiences in Sydney. We visited the aquarium twice over a year span. A great place to bring kids. Penguin ride was one of the best experiences but due to COVID-19, it's been closed.

If you're interested in visiting marine animals this is the place to go. Lots of water tanks with colourful fish in a safe environment. You can go under the water through an underwater arch, and look up close to see sharks without the worry of being attacked or eaten alive by one! I believe you can get a better understanding of the environment that these animals live in when you visit this place.

  • 5/5 Andrew S. 3 years ago on Google
Such an amazing experience. So much to see. I really loved being so close to such amazing animals. All of the displays were fantastic! To many favorites to list. It was my favourite thing in Sydney.

  • 2/5 Liv S. 3 years ago on Google
Very very busy, was a relief to leave. Was exciting to see the fish but the site certainly in need of a rebuild and expansion, I’d say most aquariums would outdo Sydney’s offering. Absolutely not a COVID safe environment - so many people, impossible to keep distance, very narrow walkways. The staging both in, and around tanks(fake rocks and corals etc) is way overdone and makes the spaces feel claustrophobic and cheap. It would look and feel much fresher if these were removed and there would be more space, too! Plus, fake rocks around touch pool are so bumpy and rough that many kids can’t reach into pool.

Love Sea Life, been a few times. Always think initially its not a good as I remember but by the time I come out thoroughly enjoyed it all over again. Love the underwater tunnels - manta rays, dugong, and the underwater shark tunnel, the barrier reef exhibit and the jellies. Unfortunately often packed with loud, screaming kids though so be prepared. If you have them yourself you won't mind. Currently taking pics (2) as you enter that you're given a scan code to use at the end of your visit that you can see yourself in various backgrounds/backdrops you can send, save and share on your mobile for free which is a nice touch.

SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium (formerly Sydney Aquarium) is a public aquarium that features a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 700 species comprising more than 13,000 individual fish and other sea and water creatures from most of Australia's water habitats. Opened in 1988, it is regarded as one of Sydney's premier tourist attractions with over 55% of its visitors each year coming from overseas

  • 5/5 Troy L. 2 years ago on Google
Good aquarium with plenty to see and not too much walking in between. Two large tanks have viewing tunnels through them giving your close ups to a number of larger fish such as Ray's and Sharks.

  • 5/5 Javid J. 2 years ago on Google
Very good place for families especially for the kids. A variety of sea creatures, good staff, and nice digital photos. The only major drawback is the lack of written information about the creatures near the places you can watch them. It's not easy to find someone to ask your questions, and there are too few written information to get help from.

  • 5/5 Amar C. 1 year ago on Google
Sea life aquarium previously called sydney aquarium. You walk around on designed paths for hours and see all the different animals. Multiple underwater tunnels designed to look at different types of sea life. Lots of opportunities to take photos and see different kind of sea animals. There is one penguin area that lets you get close to them. The dugong was amazing to see. Every part of the aquarium is captivating. There is also wheelchair access and a gift shop at the end that has many cute toys and other trinkets. Would definitely recommend visiting here at least once. A must visit if somebody wants to explore Sydney harbour area.

Was amazed with the beauty of all that I saw there. Penguins , sharks and what not. At the entrance they took a lovely photo of us and gave us a barcode free of charge. We could access number of photos that they edited putting us on different sea life inspired backgrounds. The price if the ticket totally worth it. So much to see and facilities are just great.

A wide variety and number of sea creatures that seem to be well taken care of. However there is a lot of winding slopes and stairs in the aquarium round and round which might make it difficult for elderly or young that walk slower or accessibility for the needy.

Hands down the coolest aquarium because of the ✈️ eagle rays and that M A S S I V E smooth ray. Absolutely majestic. Really well done exhibit tunnels. One of the sharks had a red-brown mass on its underside near its tail and there were staff in the tunnel that I could have asked but I got shy and didn't but the point is I COULD HAVE ASKED and that's so lovely of them. I really enjoyed the Jurassic fish section as well. Little mud skipper and big lungfish. Thank you for flooring me especially with those big majestic rays.

The SEA LIFE Aquarium is much like what you expect it to be: it's an aquarium. You may have come here on a school excursion, but it's worth revisiting as an adult, even if only once. There's a really solid variety of marine life to see, and a pleasant diverse way of viewing them, in tanks, or enclosures, or several glass tunnels which are great fun to walk through. I really enjoyed some of the darker, more intimate spaces to see glowing jellyfish as well. Bar a blemish or two on some worn surfaces, everything is pretty schmick, and you don't feel like you're touring through a cheap or dilapidated attraction. Getting so close to penguins on an optional ride was a real treat, though they stood so eerily still... I hope they're being well looked after. It's a little cramped with the numbers they let in, but let's be honest we all expect that. And beginning the tour with a photo from staff that's quite awkward to turn down/refuse is far from ideal. Otherwise, don't be afraid to have a go at coming here for a slightly more interesting way to kill some of your day, or on a more casual style date.

I absolutely loved this place 🥰. My favourite was the penguin 🐧 section and the staff members were very friendly. Definitely worth the money and time. Thank you for making my day I hope you guys continue the good work and save our precious marine animals. I also loved my penguin keychain though I would have preferred the dugong one..... unfortunately everything was sold out 😞 maybe next time I can get a commission 😊. Good day guys!!

While the other reviews were complaining about the number of children, remember this is an attraction for families. We (no children) had an amazing time walking through the aquarium! The way it is set up, made it very easy to navigate walking through the aquarium. We got there at 10, when it opened and was very busy, but we were still able to see everything and enjoyed our time. Highly recommend.

Visiting sea like Sydney is an amazing & memorable experience in itself for both young kids & Adults. . It took us mote than 1 hour and yet we could not complete seeing the whole aquarium. . Loves watching the Dungong, Penguins and had a boat ride tour of the same as well. . One also gets yo see many exotic underwater fishes (big & small) as well as turtles, whales, sharks and others. . The whole experience is thrilling & magical. . Highly recommend visiting once.

I last visited in 2005 and it's smaller than I remember. Online reviews suggest 90 mins to see everything at leisure. I had a little less time and managed to see everything, albeit at a fairly fast pace, in 45 mins (including the penguin ride). I booked a combo ticket in advance and then reserved a timed entry online for 10:15. It opens at 10:00. If you don't do this you will be in a long queue at peak times. They photograph you on the way in and there is a free (yes, free) download portal for the photos (16 of them to be precise). Same applies to the Sydney Tower Eye (free photos).

Sea Life Sydney Aquarium was a delight to visit. The aquarium is laid out very nicely, starting out your journey with the smaller fishes to the showstoppers like the sting ray and the sharks. I would recommend getting the tickets before hand. They let you in according to the time mentioned on your ticket. Overall a very fun place. It took me about 40 minutes to go through the whole thing.

Surprisingly big considering the area it is in. Missus and I had lots of fun and took lots of memorable photos. Sea Life is a bit pricey. Overall spent $132, $102 for 2x adults and $30 photo they took.

A must visit place for tourists in Sydney, specially if you're with kids/family. Highly recommend you buy your tickets online + book a slot. Weekends are usually busy, you may need to be very patient with the smaller aquariums at the beginning of the experience, else it's alright. Be sure to have a visit to the loo before you start your journey as there is just one toilet inside, after the penguins experience.

  • 2/5 Kay W. 6 months ago on Google
I would not recommend coming here as soon as they open or at peak times. You also won’t have a great experience if a high school class is there at the same time as you. My gosh. There will be a wait and you get a little trampled. You will get rushed through some areas due to entitled people who will step on you, push you out of the way, push their pram into you, or block your view for way too long just to get the perfect photo for Insta. There’s not a whole lot of variety of marine life, displays, or learning opportunities at this aquarium. Melbourne aquarium is way better. The only thing exciting here is the tiny penguin expedition ride. It was closed for repairs. Spent roughly an hour here. It was clean. Had sanitiser stations throughout. Wheelchair and pram accessible but would be difficult during peak times. Can be over stimulating in peak times.

Haven’t come here in quite some time and came for my son birthday $51 for an adult ticket. The price has increased quite a lot over the past few years. And a few in service attractions were closed like the arctic boat. Kids tried the VR $20 for two (extra cost). The penguins were so cute and the shark display was very big. My favourite was the dugón who was very playful with its keeper. Gift shop had so much to choose from. I’ll be back in another few years it hasn’t changed much pre covid. It was in all a nice outing for my son. I would recommend buying tickets online to save money.

I love the aquarium, it's a great place to take the kids or just go alone! Plenty of sealife to see, lots of information on species & how they live in their natural habitat. Pre-Covid it was always busy & it seems to be getting back up to this again, but we did see all we needed & navigated the attraction well.

Well located with easy access, Sydney sealife was a nice experience for us. It was our baby’s first visit and she loved it as much as we did. The specimens are very beautiful and different from other sealife. The place is very clean with nice staff. The souvenir shop is also very nice, with a range of gifts that can be bought. We did some photo with magic memories but none were available on the add nor online and we haven’t had any feedback or email from them - very unprofessional

Amazing how many aquariums they can fit into the space they have. I came here after going to the Sea Life in Sunshine Coast - enjoyed that one so much I got an annual pass. The penguin boat ride and penguin habitat were fantastic. Thought the water of the larger tanks with the sting rays, sharks and sea turtles were mirky compared with the crystal clear tanks in Queensland. Sea Life Sydney need to lift their game and clean the tanks! I visited the aquarium many years ago when it first opened and it had less tanks but was a lot better back then. Maybe the staff in Sydney can all go visit the Sea Life in Sunshine Coast and learn how to be great again✨😉

One of the best places to visit to see so many species of water animals at one place one might not see in an entire lifetime. My personal favourite is the Dugong. Wait till you see it. It will become your favourite too. What a majestic animal. And then there were sharks, Penguins etc. A great learning experience. I am so humbled with nature's creation and feel more responsible towards preserving wild life including sea animals.
