Just wandering from central station and the Convention Centre near the light rail and found the old goods rail line behind UTS. This building is amazing architecture.

It's a long way tram from Paddys market through Central station. This path magically transformed into Vivid 2022 spot and looks amazing at night, especially through the end of path (**next to Novotel Central) you will find the center of laser show (Find yourself with the clue).

This is a bit of a hidden gem in Sydney CBD area. I had no idea this even existed until a geocache or two brought us to the Goods Line by Central Station. We arrived here by bus which pretty much drops you at the start of the walk. Lots to explore along the way. It's worth strolling and taking in the sights. We had a good time and did the loop back through Chinatown, Paddys Market and finally Central Station.

VERY TRANQUIL ROUTE, (with some gardens and trees), to walk or relax within.

Disappointing. The Goods Line was listed as one of the top 5 walks in Sydney, but I don’t understand what all the hype is about. As a historic and cultural site, it’s interesting, but when I visited, it appeared inadequately maintained and poorly designed with wide open, underutilized concrete paths and limited options for sitting and relaxing. There were few, if any, shaded spots to sit, no views worth mentioning, and nothing visually interesting (art, sculpture, etc) along the walkway. It’s been compared to the High Line in New York, but it doesn’t look or feel anything like that space—the High Line is much more of a pedestrian boardwalk, well integrated into the city and much more inviting. The Goods Line, unfortunately, seems to lack a cohesive aesthetic and appeared to be past its prime. There were homeless people camping out in several of the public spaces and the landscaping seemed neglected, if not poorly selected, for most of the walk. There were a couple of spots—interestingly, off the main path—that appeared to have been designed a little better, but the whole thing was overall underwhelming and a big disappointment. Sadly, not worth going out of your way to visit.

It’s a cool area. Love the building nearby. I would eat lunch here if I worked near the place.

Still a very new place and a good spot to sit down. It is relatively clean and great for the coffee/a bite catch ups There are some kids riding a skateboard or two at time, but really quite a peaceful corner of the City

great use of converted rail line. pedestrian and cycle way from railway square to darling harbour with some outdoor table tennis tables, seats and some play equipment to make it more than just a thoroughfare

Dull. Cold concrete jungle. Nothing more than a walkway. Could have been so inviting, instead just a wind swept thoroughfare

Extending all the way from the TAFE Ultimo tunnel to the Powerhouse Museum, this lovely space has something for everyone, which functions as a nice gathering and relaxing space and full of history regarding its previous use.

A pleasant place to stroll with kids before (or after) a visit to the Powerhouse Museum. A little ratty towards the station end. Signage of historical interest spots was excellent, with good photos and descriptions.

Fantastic place in the city to go for a walk without the need to worry about cars. But you do need to look out for the delivery bikes. The walk stretches from the end of the Central tunnel outside UTS building 6 all the way to the Power House Museum. Along the way there is plenty of seating, table tennis tables, exercise equipment, grass area, water bubbler and play area with a water.

Pleasant walk through some of the old goods line. Doesn't really have much related to the railway heritage.

A nice walk, interesting seeing 👀 the original Goodsline equipment The Goods Line is an 800 m-long (2,625 ft) linear park and shared pedestrian pathway and cycleway in the suburb of Ultimo, in the City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The corridor connects Railway Square to Darling Harbour in the south and passes both the University of Technology Sydney Broadway campus and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Sydney head office. The Goods Line terminates in the north at the corner of Sussex and Hay Streets, in the Sydney central business district. It many tables and seating areas to have a picnic lunch, there's two ping pong 🏓 tables and connects to the power museum

A nice walk off the Main Street of Sydney with plenty of historical information to learn. Also a great shortcut to Darling harbour, Entertainment centre and Power house museum that won’t have you baking under the sun or bumping into people.

Fabulous walkway in the heart of the CBD, avoiding the traffic and crowds. Wish it was longer but can't really complain. Some nice little spots for the kids too. Great idea !!

A nice conversion of the old railway tracks, having taken inspiration from the NYC High Line. The path is spacious, showcase few remnants from the old track and connect Central Station with Pyrmont and Chinatown.

(Translated by Google) There was a road running straight from the back of the building in front of the Sydney Central Station, so I walked to this "The Goods Line". Once upon a time, there is evidence of a railroad here. Walking along the straight road, there were many educational buildings that seemed to be colleges along the way, and there were things like playground equipment and artworks along the way.

The historic Goods Line now forms a very pleasant walkway from the tunnel at Central to Darling Square. Grab a coffee or maybe a juice around the plaza and on a sunny day you can walk this path past UTS buildings, table tennis tables, seating and kids play area. Examine the remnants of the line and take a rest with your drink under the cool shelter of the trees and watch the busy people hustle past or exercise on the greens. Then wander off down the path towards Darling Square or Paddys market for a bite to eat.
