This is a really nice city park. Although it is close to a busy road the noise soon disappears and the peace settles in. I must confess at this pint that I run a small canoe and kayak hire business here. But this review is really an explanation of why I chose this place. There are lots of shelters and even more big shady trees. Although it can get busy it never seems crowded. And there is still lots of big and small sunny grassy spots. Although it is quite small, the size of a couple of soccer fields, its paths connect it all along the river for riding or walking. The BBQs, there are four are free and always clean. And there is usually very little rubbish. There are toilets, they are old but again usually clean (for public toilets). There is plenty of parking, and easy access from both Tempe and Wolli Creek train stations. (Tempe is the closer of the two). 5-10 min walk. And there is a beautiful river. For walking or cycling (or paddling). Though the water is cool on your feet, or for a dog, you wouldn’t want to swim. Lots of people catch and release fish, flathead and tailor amongst them. Again I wouldn’t eat the fish. Across the river at Wolli Creek there are plenty of cafes and eateries as well. (5-10 min walk)

Kendrick Park is a nice little park. Some groups of families often come here for BBQs or some parties because of the BBQs in the park. There's also an area for some games like soccer. Cooks River looks nice here because of the new apartment buildings on the other side of the river. There's also lots of Ibis birds here so be careful of your food!

On the banks of the Cooks River. It's a small park that has bbq facilities, toilets and a playground area for the kids. Always good for a get together. Just be mindful to take your rubbish with you please!

Another one of the wonderful parks in and around Wolli Creek. There are BBQ facilities, toilets, kids play areas all located in a well maintained area overlooking the cooks river and the impressive new high rise apartment buildings of Wolli Creek. This is a great place to take the family on the weekend.

Nice park with the BBQ and a gazebo to spend a relaxing weekend with friends or family. To enter and find your parking lot is by a Princes Hwy, turn left to Station Street, turn left again on the first road of View Street. To out of the park, turn right to Bay Street (one way) to Princes Hwy.

Nice little outdoor park, has children's playground, BBQ and toilet facilities. Only 4 star as it's quite close to very busy streets.

Nestled in nature, this quiet little park makes for a perfect day out. This park has a playground, BBQs, and undercover seating, bike racks and a open area for running around. There are plenty of birds including, cormorants, butcher birds and rainbow lorikeets to enjoy. It is a short walk from Tempe train station and joins onto the Cook's River bike/walking track. It's also within walking distance to Cahill Park where the kids can explore different playground equipment.

Beautiful little park nestled alongside the river opposite Wolli Creek. There's some small shelters around, and barbecues, plus a playground for the kids. Public toilets open during daylight hours. Can get coffee over the river or up the road near Tempe Tyres. Also a canoe/kayak rental business set up here now, not sure if permanent though.

Lovely park, just off the Princes Hwy, makes a great place to have a break. Busy at the weekend with everyone using the modern free BBQ's. There's a kids playground, kayak/canoe launching steps, toilet facilities and plenty of parking.

great place for a short picnic

  • 4/5 Jarrod A. 4 years ago on Google
Nice park with maintained BBQ facilities. There is a small boat ran to access the water. There tends to be a large amount of parties and fishing activities, this results in the occasional rubbish and food scraps left.

    Nice modern complex

  • 2/5 Justin W. 4 years ago on Google
This park has a great outlook over the cooks river, but it is spoilt by visitors leaving their rubbish all over the picnic areas even though there are plenty of bins within arm's reach. The playground is a little tired, but most kids won't mind
