We booked online for a quick chuck for the both of us. The staff have great energy and don’t mind a bit of banter. They showed us how to use the different types of axes and the techniques on throwing them. The staff hang around to give you tips when throwing your axes which is really helpful. The atmosphere was lively. If you forgot to wear enclosed shoes they have gum boots for you to borrow. The venue can get quite hot, so wear loose clothing if you can. We would highly recommend this and would come back again. They also have a bar, you can only drink after you’ve finished chucking axes. They’ve got non alcoholic beverages, pizzas and water as well.

Fantastic venue with friendly staff and awesome range of craft beers. When I was struggling with the ax throwing, staff gave me a couple of tips that really helped. All around an amazing venue / experience

We attended Maniax for a work team bonding event and it did not disappoint. Some of us were nervous at first as it does involve throwing a sharp weapon however the staff are very professional and take safety and training seriously whilst also facilitating a fun environment for all the enjoy. Our host spends a lot of time giving clear training, instructions and demonstrations before they host a variety of axe throwing games. Would highly recommend!

So much fun! Headed here on Thursday night for a date night. Rach and Bede were incredibly kind and helpful. Definitely got a lil workout on our arms, and had a great time. The beers afterward were particular tasty and the decor is also super cool. Highly recommend for a fun night out.

Absolutely love this place. I attended as a solo thrower and not going to lie, I was very self-conscious as I usually get strange and somewhat negative service from other companies when they see I'm solo as the activities i enjoy are usually things groups or couples do. The guys at maniax have been absolutely wonderful. Making me feel safe and welcome in their establishment. Mad props to the young lady who was working tonight (her name has slipped my mind but she was wearing SUPER funky pants) She was passionate, encouraging and an absolute delight and im super keen to see her again same time next week! Thanks maniax for being my hobby and safe space 💖

A very well run and great fun venue. Very safe. A bit hot probably due to being a full house but really enjoyable anyway.

First time axe throwing. Staff were extremely accommodating, extremely friendly, and the place was well kept. Had immense fun here and a thorough recommend for anyone who has even thought about whether or not they wanted to try. Food was also fantastic.

Great place to learn a new skill! Because you never know when you need to throw an axe at someone… Large divided play area with rules to keep everyone safe. The moderators are funny and very skilled themselves. Cute Viking decor including a throne you can pose on! A well stocked drink bar. Snacks and food also available to order (though we didn’t try) and nice seating areas for eating. Try it for fun, for team building or as a new hobby. Oh yeah, there’s also plenty of parking outside which is a big plus in the inner city.

Bloody good fun! Nothing like axe throwing to channel excess aggression and rage! The place is aptly Viking themed with very manly antlers, weaponry and furs on display. The experience was great - Scott, our game master, was an excellent (if harsh) teacher and heckled us for our failures/cowardice when appropriate. The axes are legit, hefty beasts that require equal amounts of fear and respect. Would definitely recommend for a unique party, team building, or to live out your Viking dreams!

I had my 30th birthday party here with 18 friends and the experience couldn't have been better. Our hosts were amazing - really funny and great teachers. I had tried axe throwing before at another venue but wasn't very good at it because the tutoring was so bad. These guys are fantastic though - I ended up winning 3 matches and can see myself going back for more! I highly recommend this venue. Shout out to the team (including the lovely barman) who were all about safety first - no drinks while throwing axes, no more than 2 people in a cage, full safety briefing and a whole lot of fun. Excellent venue. :)

Had an absolutely awesum time throwing axes with a group of gym friends. Our axe pert was very friendly, helpful & gave us great tips to help us with our axe throwing. The venue was clean & tidy & had a great atmosphere. We had a lot of fun & laughs, it was a really enjoyable evening. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try something different.

Maniax is a place for you to channel your inner Viking and have a bit of fun. The staff are great hosts, briefing you, demonstrating how to chuck an axe and re collect and creating good atmosphere for the crowd. We had a good little competition going and recommend this for your next event. It’s superb fun. The new Marrickville location has a Viking themed bar with beers and cocktails to enjoy after your axe throwing session. A very enjoyable and unique experience. I would recommend coming with a group of friends, as the host makes it fun and competitive. We were lucky enough to get Christian on the day who definitely made the experience memorable! The decor is mega cool. I’d love to come here just for a drink in the future.

I had an absolutely marvelous experience at Maniax Axe Throwing with my colleagues yesterday. We had a full session of axe throwing, and it was an absolute blast! The activity was incredibly fun, and it required a concrete aim to hit the targets accurately. The coach was friendly and supportive, constantly fine-tuning our technique to help us achieve maximum points. I highly recommend Maniax Axe Throwing for a thrilling and memorable outing with friends or colleagues.

Hour Host deserves a beer or three, we had a great time, maniac was the start of our 2023 work Christmas party, hour host was awesome, made sure we all had a great go and kept improving us as the afternoon went on. 2 hours, group of 10 people, brilliant!

This was something new that I tried out & I loved it! I was nervous at first but after I was given a demonstration & was supported & encouraged by the staff, I loved it! Time flew by so quickly because I was having so much fun, I didn’t want to leave. It was so good to compete & try out the different axes, learning how to throw it properly. This is such an awesome experience for couples/groups & would definitely recommend trying this place!

First time thrower and I will be returning! The MANIAX gang made us (group of 19) all feel at home and were very patient with our feeble attempts at throwing at first and then lulled us into competition. A very good time and a full education!

Had a work Xmas party here and it was awesome! We had a great time, would highly recommend. Dobbie & Scott did a great job teaching us and supporting us throughout. They made it so much fun!
