Very fun time! Staff were lovely and inviting, I went during the disco night and had a great time despite it being my first time skating since I was 8, skate hire and time on the ice is cheap! I'll definitely be coming back!!

Great place to spend time with kids. Check session times before you go. Not crowded, and lots of fun. Another after 2 weeks... A bit more people than last time, but still fun. Surface was clean and smooth-ish with few wet spots around. If you borrowing skates, check if they are blunt or in good condition.

This was my first time at Ice Zoo and unfortunately, I will not be returning. My friends and I went to the 2pm session on a Sunday and it took us about 15 minutes to just get checked in and to our skates. Being on the rink itself is basically chaos, you have people skating in opposite directions, linking arms across the rink, leaving their penguins in the middle of the path, essentially there was no regulation and it was entirely unsafe with the amount of people on the ice. I don't suggest ordering any food when you go unless someone is willing to jump off the ice beforehand as we spent most of our session just waiting for our order. By 2pm, the chips, sausage rolls, nuggets were all sold out and the mango slushy tasted metallic and "off", while one poor staff member (who looked 14 y.o) was serving and cooking simultaneously. An unfortunate experience to be honest but I'd recommend making the drive to Canterbury instead for any future ice skating adventures.

Have been to their adult ice skating lesson twice now (for beginners and novices). Some instructors are much better than others. On my last lesson, my instructors were two very young skaters who seemed like they had no experience teaching at all. Extremely soft spoken and I couldn’t hear a word they were saying. They didn’t give any individual feedback and very little instruction on how to actually do the moves. When i asked a question about how to perform a spin they answered “you just have to get a feel for it” - which was extremely unhelpful and I won’t be returning because of this experience. My first lesson was much better, but the groups are too big for just one instructor. There’s no one to one correction of form and it’s hard to hear what the instructors are saying on the rink.

Great skate rink, friendly staff, easy timetable But really, the reason I go is because they have some of the finest HOT CHIPS on planet Earth. I don't know what wizardry they're using to make them, but they are absolutely worth strapping metal blades to your boots & propelling your body across a frozen wasteland for an hour & a half to get. ⛸️🍟

I tried out the Adult Ice Skating Lesson for Beginners. Although the staff were friendly and it was a good price I didn't think this beginner lesson was very appropriate for absolute beginners (someone like me who has never skated before). The instructor rushed through the fundamentals to get onto more in depth skills and I could not keep up. I ended up doing my own thing for most of the time, just trying to get off the wall, with no guidance! There were a lot of people in the group but despite that, the instructor didn't even try to assist anyone individually. He could see I was struggling but never offered any guidance on how I could progress - I think he was more focussed on showing off his abilities. I feel the image they display on the website (an instructor one-on-one with an adult) is very deceiving.

Great Ice rink - well run friendly, good surface - only wish they changed directions during the skating sessions. Excellent friendly coach there called Marie. Enjoy

Don’t come here just go Canterbury rink. Only reason I came today was because Canterbury is closed. The rink was bumpy and wet and very rough There was kids leaving penguins on the ice everywhere and everyone was skating in opposite directions and and crossing the ice. The ice was basically nonexistent as well and it felt as if you are skating on bumpy water, it had holes everywhere so a safety hazard. Would not recommend if u want a good time This is the worst rink. Would give 0 if I could

This place is Sydney’s best kept secret. The staff are warm and friendly and there are so many classes for all ages. It even has an ice bar so you can have a drink after a skate as well as an huge selection from the cafe. They nail the vibe there - you’ll see what I mean. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Oh and the skate shop is incredible. Check it out!

I bought two sessions at once and after the first session I asked if I could cancel the second session I bought. Even tho I asked 30 mins before the second session, they said no saying they don’t do refunds. I don’t get how this is possible because it’s not like I skated any time of the second session??? The website doesn’t say anything about refunds either so should’ve told me in advance if they had any rules like this.

It has decent staff, the same quality boots as Canterbury ice rink, but not the same quality ice. It is a smaller space as it is of course not Olympic and has a hotter temperature meaning the ice is melted on the top slightly and is worse and not as enjoyable as to skate at Canterbury Rink. Regardless it is a nice space to go

Staff were rude! The rink wasn’t very big and it also got very busy so there was hardly any room to skate freely. The rink was also constantly wet! You can literally see puddles on the ice and there was even a large patch in the middle of the rink that was obviously unsafe but their solution was to put two traffic cones on top of it. I would not recommend this place.

Thank you for the Elaine that help ran Sam's birthday party, she is really good and looked after the kids well. We went to the 6pm disco night on Saturday The Bad: 1. condition of the ice... (lots of watery patches, and some spots you skid over plastic! ) please have thicker ice and make it colder so the ice don't melt. a couple of kids fallen over and their cloth soaking wet. I don't know if it was bad ice day but the owner need to fix the ice ASAP! 2. Food selection is pretty bad. really expensive nuggets and chips considering the low quality. 3. need more staff (just 3 staff at the front counter at peak hour serving both customer and food is not enough) The Good: Location, lots of parking, lots of toilets and in good condition. They do hold beginner classes at a reasonable price so that's something I will look into. Will visit again once they get the ice fixed.

A lovely place for relaxing. You can rent skates ($8 a pair?) in here so don't need to bring your own ones. They got snacks, soft drinks for sale. Also they have parking lots available. If you have kids, you can hold a birthday party for them.

We have attended this venue 15 times with our 8 year old grand daughter who has become a confident ice skater. It is great family fun. Lots of food available to keep the energy up. Helpful and polite staff. All the skaters are well organised and behaved. As a spectater ensure you bring warm clothes especially for the lower extremities.

It was awesome. Went there on Thursday general entry. Pretty easy to get in. Go upstairs, but ticket and they will give you the shoes. Try that if it's all good then you're good to start. Would highly recommend.

I'm not the best ice skater myself, but I've got to say that this place is an awesome place to escape reality and land yourself in a discotheque-like dance floor. The penguin training gadgets are so cute, and thank goodness they helped me with the ice skating experience.

Good experience with family. We booked through Groupon and claiming was fast. Skates for hire were in okay condition, some can be a bit smelly

It was so much fun. It gets crowded eventually but it was still enjoyable. If you love to ice skate try the Saturday- Disco on ice.

Good place to take the kids. But had to laugh when we had to pay $20 cake fee to bring our own birthday cake. No lights get turned off or anything.

The ice was wet, and slippery right from the start. I had to change the hires shoes as the insides were worn and sharp. I was on the ice for 2 mins and went and asked to cancel my session and get a refund- guess what? No refund and just a rude attitude instead. I can understand that they don’t want people trying to skate for 30 mins then changing their minds but 2 mins?! And a reasonable explanation that their ice was covered in water. The rude manager just pointed repeatedly to their policy of no refunds, but cleverly you pay before you can see that state of the ice. I was really unhappy with the whole experience and disappointed in the total lack of understanding or care.

Always a fun time going here! Shoutout to the kind fellow who let my partner and I in for half price seeing as we were super late to the session. We appreciated that, thank you 😊

(No offence at all) My family and I usually go to Canterbury but it was temporarily closed so we had to find a different rink and found Ice Zoo. We didn't have high expectations but it delivered. Wouldn't say as big as Canterbury but definitely a nice medium sized rink. The rinks were chaotic though. My family and I went on 2 Mondays and a Thursday at the 6 - 7:30pm sessions; the Mondays were pretty crowded but on Thursday it was less crowded and more enjoyable. Overall, very nice ice skating rink with good prices, and multiple sessions. Very fun time, def coming back!!!

Awful costumer service! I was with my friends today in the afternoon we arrived earlier but they did not allow us to take a seat, even when they had 5 free tables, it does not make sense ! have your clients waiting in line for 20 minutes with all the coffee area available is funny, we pretended to have a coffee in the meantime but they employees weren’t interested in serving you well. In overall we enjoy skating but I maybe I will see another place before back to one place with that kind of costumer service.

Its set up ok. Location of the place is good. Only thing is there are way too many people on the ice ring per session. Amount of people need to be limited at least for safety of it.Maintanance of hire skates could also be improved

Great icing rink! They have student concession (including university students). Wasn't busy at all on a midday weekday. Loved the music that was playing, they had a great range of songs. The small cafe there is also nice, good for a quick coffee or small bite. Lovely staff too.

Smaller size rink tucked away close to the heart of Sydney. The venue is welcoming and clean and the staff were great to the whole family. Great spot to have a party or get out of the hot or rainy weather

Kind staff, good vibes. Fun place! Great little rink to bring friends who have never skated before. Good snacks and cold drinks. But the coffee is so so bad. I've tried it a number of times as I need coffee to survive and I forget as its usually a few months between visits. The coffee makes me feel unwell and gives me a headache. May I suggest, Switch to Campos coffee and a better machine (or get your machine serviced and cleaned) thank you and sorry to complain because you're lovely, but how do you know if people don't says anything.

Inquired for a kid's birthday today, and the person I talk to (in charge of parties) was unfriendly and rude :( no matter how busy or frustrated you are, speaking with kindness goes a long way (even more in customer service). So disappointed for my daughters.

Nice place to bring someone on a first date. The ice ring is Okay not the best in Sydney. Ice zoo also offers discount for students and Thursdays are cheap.

I forgot to take photos 😆 as I was too excited to skate. Great experience, an enjoyable place to visit as individuals, family or group of friends. The 2-3:30pm public skating was a great time for me as it wasn't too crowded but the place was busy. There were a lot of parkings available, clean amenities, friendly and courteous staff and of course the great skates and ice ring.

Everything you need at an ice skating rink with ice skating and ice hockey classes and sessions available throughout the week - check the timetable on their website to get the up to date timetable so you can go for the session you are after. For general skating, they are usually at least 1.5 hour sessions including cheapskate half price Thursdays. There's skate hire available, a licensed cafe, free parking, and a skate equipment store downstairs. Staff are very friendly and seem happy to offer advice.

This was truly an marvelous experience.. I must say this is a very skillful hobby/sport. It looks easy but if your body is not in good nick you should probably leave it alone. Yes you can hurt yourself if you fall down. Great for family/kids love it.. meet new people!!

Public skating, figure skating, ice hockey, classes and more. You can buy stuff from the shop downstairs or other. It’s almost impossible to see lines. After what players have to pay they should at least do proper lining and everything just make a games easier. IG: paulklima1

Probably the best rink I've been to over the years. Very affordable prices for equipment hire, with a generous amount of time out on the ice. The staff are friendly and easy going, you can tell they genuinely want you to have a good time. When your taking a break or done skating there's a nice variety of drinks and food to choose from at the bar. Love they have their own equipment store downstairs also. Alan's a great instructor, was my first time skating in years and only fell once during a friendly game of ice hockey at the end of the session.
